Summary
“Noun. The tendency to give up trying to talk about an experience because people are unable to relate to it - whether through envy or pity or simple foreignness - which allows it to drift away from the rest of your life story, until the memory itself feels out of place, almost mythical, wandering restlessly in the fog, no longer even looking for a place to land.”
Because life goes on after the credits roll, and sometimes picking up the pieces after everything is over is harder than the grand adventure ever was.

Maybe the curse will stay with Raha for the rest of his life, until it kills him.
But if there is anything divine working for good in this world, maybe it will be left here, fallen like a coin out of a hole in his pocket. Maybe he will forget the curse along with their language and their songs and their stories.
Maybe her son will be free of it in the simple act of being gone.
G'raha Tia, before Sharlayan.
