Satoru is so entranced, he barely registers Megumi and Yuuji getting into the car.
“Who’s that?” Satoru asks, his eyes still locked on the man outside.
Megumi follows his gaze, frowning slightly. “Our teacher…?”
From the back seat, Yuuji leans forward, squinting toward the dojo entrance. “Oh, Geto-Sensei?”
“Geto, huh?” Satoru rolls the name around on his tongue, testing it. Then the realization slams into him. He whips his head toward them so fast it nearly gives him whiplash. “He’s been here this whole time?”
Or, the five times Satoru tries to get Suguru’s number and the one time he finally does.

Night is falling, the sky melting from sunset to dusk; as they had watched the sun sink behind the mountains, Kojiro had been bathed in gold, but now, the moonlight makes him softer and sharper all at once — no longer blindingly brilliant, so that when Kaoru looks at him, all he sees in the shadows are the brights of Kojiro’s eyes, his teeth, as his mouth curls with want and his eyes burn with need.
Kojiro’s hold around his wrist is loose, gentle, but Kaoru is his captive.
