Summary
Having apparently finally finished whatever thing he was probably only pretending to be busy with to make River wait, Spider finally looks at him. “So sorry if you were intending this to be a surprise. Melody at the front desk sent me a message as soon as you arrived,” he says smugly.
River shrugs, hoping Spider can’t tell that he is, in fact, a bit disappointed. He’d been looking forward to catching Spider unaware, though not really for any particular reason other than to annoy him. He doesn’t really have any particular reason for being here at all, but sitting around Slough House had felt even more stifling than usual after having been out in the field recently, and Spider’s usually good for getting River’s blood pumping a bit, if nothing else.
Spider doesn't die. River pays him a visit.

Sam rolled his eyes, turning to Nat.
“Stop being a dick, I just keep up with the ongoing investigation. I’m not, like, obsessed or something.”
“Oh, you’re definitely obsessed, don’t even try to front here, Wilson.”
Sam wouldn’t say he was obsessed.
He just found the White Wolf fascinating.
No one even had an idea about who the White Wolf was. Nationality, gender, reasoning; no one had a clue and leads ran dry almost immediately on the cases. Sam had a few theories on why the White Wolf did the things that they did, but the theories weren’t conclusive, mostly speculation.

Or why he’s not here delivering the news to us himself.”
“Because he’s a coward, apparently,” Clint muttered, frowning at Steve. “And I’m retired, remember?”
“I’m inclined to agree with Tony, here,” Bruce said, leaning forwards amidst Rhodey’s sniggers. He ignored Clint’s grumbling. “Not about the second part. But… this does seem like an odd choice.”
Or: the Avengers (plus Peter and Co.) participate in a team-bonding mosaic workshop. Tony is less than thrilled by it.

The glass was impossible for Peter to break, but he could still hear through it. He could even kind of hear the voice coming through the comm device in the guy’s ear.
“Buck? Talk to me.”
Peter recognized that voice, but his brain was too fuzzy to pinpoint it. The tests that the scientists had put him through hadn’t been too horrible so far, but the constant triggering of his Spidey sense had overloaded all his heightened senses. It was hard to retain anything through the migraine, as if words were pouring around the sides of his brain and sliding off.
