Summary
Link padded through the streets of the once bustling castle town, his gaze unfocused as his mind wandered. He let his paws carry him forward aimlessly, he hardly wanted to return to his 'home', being more of a prison than anything else. Most of the buildings he passed by had fallen to ruins, the remaining were home to several of the bulbin camps that scattered his surroundings. He couldn't help but wonder if there was more he could have done, if there even been a chance of success in the first place. One of the bulbins nearly stumbled into him as he walked, but he paid no mind to the monster as it spat some fowl words at him.
He was tired of regretting the past, tired of living like an animal, and tired of praying to a goddess that had abandoned him.

Summary
I have known Marshal since college. And I have hated him for just as long. How we ended up on the same tropical island is a mystery. Thanks, Fate (sarcasm font, in case you didn’t realize it). He’s so arrogant and condescending. Not to mention, he seems to enjoy my angry barbs and sarcastic responses. But when he looks at me with desire lurking in his eyes, my body responds. Confusing. Utterly confusing. We have one fairy tale night together. One night to experience more than just hate, and it changes everything. I run, scared to admit my possible feelings for him. Then my past decides to slide into my present uninvited, and Marshal is the one I turn to for support. Why? Why did I do that? Maybe I don’t hate him as much as I think I do.
T/W: Main female character shares memories of past sexual assault. I will add a note before the chapter this happens in.

Summary
"I worked for Tom Nook before I moved to Avalon as the Community Coordinator. At first, it was a long-distance job, with most meetings over video chat. My job was to handle disputes between residents, improve the island's image, help with supply orders, and coordinate with special guests coming to Avalon. Once the Resident Services building was complete, I moved to Avalon permanently over a year ago. Sounds boring, right? I had to spice up my life somehow..."

"Time to land this thing. And figure out what to do about Summer and these weird deja vu experiences. I’m probably going to do nothing. However, I lied to myself earlier. She doesn’t feel like a little sister to me. There’s an attraction, a connection, that I can’t explain. Where does this deja vu feeling end and reality begin?"

Summary
"I can't get Brewster's eyes out of my mind. His eyes filled with sorrow and pain. Usually, his expression is always stoic. Is he happy, sad, or upset? Who knows. He always looks the same. His eyes have always been unreadable until that night at the museum. Then they were filled with sadness. Pain so great it looked like his heart was ripped in two. What kind of pain does he carry? What happened in his life to cause that?"
Some characters in this story were introduced in the first story of this series. You may want to read that one first.

Summary
“Did you just call me Cookie? Did you really just give me a nickname? And man do I hate that nickname.” She laughs, shaking her head.
“If you can call me something I hate, turnabout is fair play. Besides, what's wrong with Cookie? You always smell like one anyway. Vanilla and cinnamon." I lean in close, my nose next to her neck. After inhaling her scent again, I whisper, "Tell me Cookie, do you taste as good as you smell?” When I pull back from her neck and stand up straight, there is a surprised look on her face that tells me maybe I went a bit too far with that last question. That maybe saying something like that doesn’t fit into her idea of who I am. I'm done playing nerdy, nice guy.
Characters in this story are all human.
