Summary
Five years into their partnership, Mulder and Scully had uncovered some of the strangest truths the world could offer, faced darkness and doubt side by side, and forged a bond that ran deeper than most would ever understand. It was a bond forged in silence, in shared glances, in moments of vulnerability neither dared speak aloud. Yet beneath all that, there lingered a love neither fully named.
Scully decides to start living her life outside of the X-Files and begins dating. Despite being in a stable relationship, she is drawn to Mulder, until eventually, after a tough case the two end up in bed together. Shortly after this, Mulder disappears, leaving Scully completely lost. Without him by her side, Scully has to build another life for herself. But what happens when there's a chance that Mulder may return? Can she go back to being his Scully or has too much time passed?

Dana Scully, a spinster with a gift for herbal medicine, engages in a forbidden love with a Jewish man from a neighboring town, and runs afoul of the religious elite at the height of the Salem Witch Hysteria. They will have to test the limits of everything they think they know if they are both going to avoid the hanging tree. Historical fiction, and yes, there will be a golem.
