Summary
AU. Rip Wheeler is a drifter and asks for a job at the Yellowstone, ready to hang his hat up in one place finally. Rip is a cold, quiet, hard man – he has no interest in anything but his job. Enter Beth Dutton. The rancher’s daughter comes home for an extended visit and meets Rip. She’s cold like he is, and seemingly as unimpressed as Rip is with her. Beth and Rip don’t get along at all, in fact, they can’t stand each other - despite being on each other’s minds from the day they met and their desperate attraction to each other. The Beck Brothers enter the scene and cause problems for the ranch, forcing Beth and Rip to work together, bringing them closer as they try to protect the ranch and each other.
