Summary
Based after 8a midseason finale.
Eddie leaves for Texas which means leaving Buck behind. Buck is struggling to cope with being left behind yet again when he gets a phone call. Buck's life would never be the same again in the best ways.
Mostly General audience/Teen+ but has some mature moments starting in chapter 16 so I have changed the rating to mature as a precaution.

Summary
Helena did not know that Buck took care of him after he got shot. She certainly didn’t know that he stayed with Chris until he came home from the hospital. She didn’t know what a natural move it was for Buck to take over his lease because he already fit so nicely into his life. She wouldn’t always say anything, but when she did they were just little comments she could tell had some deeper resentment under them.
“Sounds like he helped with Chris a lot,” she said one morning over coffee.
“It wasn’t like a big deal or anything,” said Chris. Helena was looking at Eddie when she responded “mhm.”
It would be impossible to get her to understand, but he needed him here. In theory the choice to move had been easy. Not a choice at all – Chris, above all else. That was true. Buck didn’t just matter, though. He was entwined.
