Daryl's been aimlessly walking back and forth outside the cellblocks all night, periodically checking on Carol to the point where she is starting to get really worried about him. She knows he must be a little shaken from her disappearance, but she can't understand why he seems so insistent on making sure why she's still there.
She gets her answer in more of a heart-breaking way than she had expected.

"Why are you wearing your Halloween costume, Red?" he asks, but the question isn't as accusatory as Matt expected. There's almost amusement in Frank's voice—no, there is amusement in his voice, which is rare enough to startle Matt.
"Well, aren't we going on patrol?" he asks back, tilting his head to the side. "Or, a job—whatever we're calling it these days."
"Nope, no patrol today, Red. I was wondering if..." Frank's tone shifts, and his heart starts beating faster—nervous. He's... nervous.

Summary
Three weeks after Foggy wrote "Nelson, Murdock, and Page" on a new napkin, Matt, Karen, and Foggy are starting the new firm in the upstairs of Nelson's Meats. That means Matt can't put off moving back into his apartment any longer—an apartment that he may or may not have told Karen and Foggy he moved back into weeks ago.
It turns out, trying to sort out your affairs and come back to your old life after having a building fall on top of you, spending months recovering in a church basement, and being homeless isn't that easy. It's a little harder still when you're mentally unwell, sleep deprived, and blind.
Also... maybe Matt should have taken the whole hallucination thing more seriously.
