Sirius knew he wasn’t a good older brother. When he’d left his baby brother in the very house that had been killing him, he knew it.
And on one random evening, when he can just feel that something is wrong, he knows it too. The guilt of leaving Regulus behind will never leave him.When his brothers beaten body tumbled into the Potters living room in the middle of the night, Sirius didn’t think he’d ever sleep again. The guilt would eat away at him, burning through him with the sight of his tortured brothers body for the rest of his life. He’d failed as a person, as family, as a brother.
And he’ll spend the rest of his life at Regulus’ side making up for it. -
