Yes. Tango knew. He’d heard the jokes. He’d answered the questions. He was well aware. Yes.
Tango was from hell.
Well, not, like, literal hell, but according to the over-worlders, it was close enough. The Nether was a fiery dimension of red, angry loud noises, citizens who’d try to kill you on-sight unless you were wearing something shiny enough to distract them, and occasionally you’d hear a shriek and know you ought to take some evasive maneuvers unless you felt like getting blown up by a fireball. Moving to the over-world to join the Hermits had been…an adjustment. There were a lot of things to get used to, but despite it all, he felt like he could learn to belong here...as soon as he figured out what all these strange new creatures were. Plucking up the courage to go visit his new neighbors would be a good start, right? Even if his anxiety was already hanging by a thread...he could tough it out. It'd be just fine.

Summary
Jimmy is no stranger to the life games, he's been in a few of them. He's lost all of them. The other's call it the canary curse, Jimmy just wants to make it to the finale.
Limited life ends different. Jimmy wakes up on Empires with all his memories from limited life, but he doesn't completely feel like he won. Something feels wrong, and what the watchers told him when he was sitting alone out on the grassy field haunts him. His win brings with dreams, dreams that makes him wonder if they're just dreams or memories.
Meanwhile the others wake up on hermitcraft, everyone but one. Something is wrong with Tango. And nobody remembers what went on in the game except Jimmy. Now the other's must work against time to find out what went wrong. Jimmy on the other hand struggles with what it means to be a winner, while also not being one at all.
