Summary
Lieutenant Aiden Night, Science Officer on the USS Enterprise comes out of an anomaly into a universe so similar but vastly different than her own. This is a story about how she learns to conquer the grief of losing everything she’s ever known and loved while constantly find her past haunting her. But also the acceptance that maybe her entire life was always leading her here for a reason. Maybe she could scrap together a life here and make some real change.

“Hm,” Peter said. He drummed his fingers – six hands’ worth of them – on the table top, considering Reed’s words carefully. “Nah.”
“Excuse me?” Reed said.
“No,” Peter said. “Because see, I’ve done this whole rodeo before, and this? This is not permanent.”
“You’ve had six arms before,” Reed said, slowly, as if that was the weirdest thing he’d ever heard in their business. As if Peter hadn’t passed Doctor Doom out in the hallway walking in here.
“He did,” Johnny filled in helpfully. “In college. Or anyway that’s what he told me this one time when we were looking for vampires.”

Summary
As was tradition for new genin graduates of the Nara clan, Shikamaru was to spend the night out with the deer herd in the Nara forest all on his own. He was to spend the night with the herd and tend to all their needs from sundown to sunrise. Something every Nara clan member did.
Why did it have to be him that was pulled to meet with the Lord and Lady of the Deep Forest Deer summons? Why was it him they gave this responsibility to?
What a drag.

As the X-Men come to terms with the aftermath of Dark Phoenix and the loss of their own, Peter also finds himself faced with age old family secrets. He's coping fine!
