She squinted out at the dark waves, some part of her hoping to see her boat. It wasn’t on the beach. No sign of it, just crashing waves, spraying water, and… a girl? Her head was poking out of the water, not that far from the beach. Ichika squinted out at the water, slacked-jawed with disbelief. A hand slipped out of the water, waving at Ichika. With the next spray of seawater, the head bobbed under the waves, and didn’t come back out. Ichika shut her mouth with a click, sand grinding between her teeth.

Summary
Sometimes Mizuki comes to the empty sekai, walks out until the stage isn’t in sight, and lays down on the ground. Sometimes she closes her eyes. Sometimes she stares up at the “sky”- the grey-white light that glows over everything from above. The light is sharp, all jagged angles and dramatic, dark shadows. But when Mizuki lies down and looks up at it, it’s a soft glow, like turning your head up to the sky during winter snow.
And just like one might stay, gaze fixed on the clouds and the white flakes swirling, twirling, sinking down from them, Mizuki stays.

That made sense. He hadn’t had the chance to write the most recent report, so using the old one was a good idea.

An is crumpled on the floor, seemingly unconscious. Curled up by one of the fallen pastry shelves, her black apron is snapped on both its arms. With displays of round pumpernickel loaves looming over her, she looks as if she were the victim of inanimate bread violence. Given her gluten intolerance, she kind of is.
Leave it to An to be tragically poetic. Kohane hates poetry. "I'm not going to kidnap you," she deadpans.
Without turning her head, An’s pupils dart to the corners of her eyes. "Come on, babe," she whines, "not even a little?"
Azusawa Kohane is the average miserable supervillain, committing crimes in the big city to pay for rent and lactose-free milk. Shiraishi An, her girlfriend and favourite Whole Foods employee, has committed the crime of stealing her heart and refusing to let it go.
