Summary
Taylor Hebert was supposed to be normal. Her mother, Annette, spent her life keeping the truth buried-that she was a lost Viltrumite from another universe, weaker than her kin but still far more than human. She hoped Taylor would never have to wrestle with the weight of their bloodline. But secrets don't stay buried forever, and after Annette's untimely death, Taylor is left to discover the truth on her own.
As her strength slowly grows, so does her resolve. She won't let anyone control her, not the PRT, not the villains of Brockton Bay, not even her instincts. But power demands responsibility and resistance. If the heroes stand in the way of what's right she will stand against them.
