Summary
Ferret was just going to come stay with his boyfriend for a few days. Nate was going to come home, find him there, and they'd enjoy each other's company.
Until he discovers he doesn't have his key to Nate's apartment, and heads back out into the cold fall rain.
Wet and freezing, he thinks he's in luck when a kind stranger offers him a chance to dry off and warm up. But soon after accepting, he learns that offer comes with some very nasty strings attached.

When Ferret left work after throwing up partway through his shift, he figured he just had a stomach flu, and went home to let his mother nurse him back to health. Several days of TLC have him still feeling sick, so he goes to see his family doctor and finds himself woefully unprepared for the answers he receives. And his religious upbringing does not make coping with the unexpected news any easier.
