In a situation like the sporestorm, Hugo had no better option than to break into a place that he could access easily- it was either that or die, honestly. It could be better though; he could point to the old ventilation windows, the still unlocked door jostling every five minutes, as well as the owner being cautious of letting him in (though that was more understandable). On the other hand, it could be worse, he had a comfy towel, a kind host and, if nothing else, at least he wasn't infected- right?

“Asgore,” she smiled thinly, “you should know by now that if you require something, you can come to me for it.”
He placed his glass down on the counter, nearly empty now, and turned back to her. There was something in his expression that told her he still wasn’t quite looking at her, but it was easy to pretend.
Carol was adept at pretending. She was even better at preserving.
