Summary
Almost three years of my weird fascination for cat cults murdering each other in the forest, combined with my deep interest in military history, has culminated in this... strange series that is representative of my guilty pleasure.
Upgunned!Warriors is set in what can best be described as a postapocalyptic world. Strange creatures called Iotunns roam the land. People live scattered in groups, trading, fighting, and overall trying to eke out a living.
Among these groups are the Clans we know- but at the same time, not quite what we know. The prospect of dueling for honor is dead- replaced by the need to survive and the prevalence of new technology. The Clans and their neighbors around them largely rely on firearms- while a cat's claws aren't necessarily lethal, a bullet is infinitely more deadly.
The Clans know of all people that war is the great failure of civilization. And out here, the Clans are growing communities, some of which span only fifty or so people, and others of which hundreds or even thousands proudly live. The concept of "Clan warrior" is not synonymous with "Clan soldier". But all the same, the Clan soldier answers the call when his or her Clan is in danger.
