Summary
Eddie thinks that he’s probably judged Steve too quickly. He thinks Steve’s probably full of surprises, if the past two years are anything to go by.
And then, of course, Steve just has to prove him right by stepping out of his BMW in a full sailor suit fantasy that not even the most depraved recesses of Eddie’s mind could have cooked up. Jesus. He’s got the little hat and everything. Cute tiny shorts, too, that are regrettably not as short as the ones included in the Hawkins High gym uniform, but still short enough for Eddie to be able to appreciate Steve’s legs. He has nice legs. Good knees. White socks pulled halfway up his calves, for some reason, stark against his golden tan skin. Wispy little hairs that probably go up his thighs. Eddie needs to stop looking at his legs.
“Eddie Munson,” Steve calls as he approaches, his voice all easy and light like they’re actually friends. “Hi.”
Eddie blinks at him.
Because Eddie's life can never be normal, the summer of '85 finds him working a firework stand just outside of Starcourt Mall, catching up on school work, and tutoring Steve Harrington in all things D&D.

“Congratulations on getting nine out of ten questions correct! Without further ado, let’s move on to the last question..” Hanazawa paused for dramatic effect as the lights dimmed and the spotlights overhead honed in on their podiums.
“What is … your hero partner’s type?”
A brief silence.
“‘Type?’” Izuku questioned at the same time as Kacchan.
“Yes, type,” the host laughed. “Like, who would they date? What are they into?”
The blood drained from Izuku’s face and he shot a panicked look at Kacchan. The blond didn’t seem to be faring any better, his gaze zeroed in on Hanazawa as if he could will her to change the question to something else.
Izuku... didn't know the answer to that.

They’re killing it, obviously, because they know each other from inside and out. Until one question stumps the two of them: “What is your hero partner’s type?”

Summary
Arthur wants his life back. Merlin's just trying to do his job.
Merlin works as a camerman for Ghost Getters, a show in which paranormal investigators Gwaine and Elyan poke around allegedly-haunted locations. As a warlock who lives in fear of his friends finding out about his powers, Merlin is not interested in proving to the world that the supernatural is real. He took this job for the paycheck, and he stayed for the show's cute but unavailable paranormal investigator. Three years into filming the show, Merlin is shocked to find an actual, real life ghost on one of their visits. Arthur Pendragon is the most stubborn, obnoxious ghost Merlin has ever met, and he's determined to convince Merlin to bring him back to life. Unfortunately, necromancy is no easy task. Along the way, feelings get muddled and things get... complicated. More complicated than bringing a prat back from the brink of death.
The title is inspired by Khalid's song of the same name.
