Summary
“George?” it was Lucy, gazing curiously at him with a little smile. He smiled back without really thinking about it. He loved seeing Lucy like this, calm and happy. She was beautiful, the soft light from outside casting a spotlight on her as if nobody else in the world mattered. In a way, that was true; Lockwood and Lucy were the two most important people to George, and he hoped it stayed that way.
“Yeah Luce?” he replied.
or, the trio have a conversation, comfort each other a bit and just have a day of peace

Summary
Bobby would like the record to state that he did not intend to be this much of an asshole about it. Quite frankly, it had been an unforeseeable turn of events completely out of his control as long as you ignored the fact he had done it on purpose and enjoyed every second of it. Because Bobby Nash was not a spiteful man. He could, however, be a very petty one.
---
The Buckley parents happen to be in town around Buck’s birthday, and they let something slip about his non-existent baby box. Bobby decides to do something about it.

Summary
“Well, tattoos can look like almost anything.” Buck lifts his other arm to show Christopher the null sign on his inner elbow. “Your dad’s is script– uh, words, like this one–” he twists to display the quote on the outside of his forearm. “But I have some that are just shapes.”
Chris nods at this thoughtfully. “Can you color them?”
Buck grins. “You can get them in color, yeah. But all of mine are black.”
Chris glances at his markers, then back at Buck’s arm. “Can I color them?”
And, well. They’re just Crayolas.

Summary
"I don’t like oranges.”
“Since when?” Eddie frowns. “You used to love oranges.”
Christopher shrugs. “I don’t like them anymore.”
And that’s fine, really. Tastes change. Christopher doesn’t have to like oranges.
It’s just that he does. Christopher loves oranges. Christopher has loved oranges since the first time he tasted one, Eddie watching on over a shaky video call from the desert.Or, Eddie knows his kid, and his kid loves oranges. Buck knows both of them better than Eddie realized. He shows it in various citrus-based ways.

Summary
They’d promised each other, sworn blind that they wouldn’t let him get a rise out of them. That they weren’t going to snap and give Gerrard and his ugly ass presence what he wanted.
Despite that promise, the following shift they all had after Buck being wrung out, it happened.
“What in the hell is that?” Gerrard’s arms were folded, eyes narrowed, looking to all the world a villain from an 1800s children’s novel.
Eddie, who Buck had never seen quite so obviously looking to start something, turned on his heel from the coffee machine, the shadow of a smirk written across his face.
“What’s what?” Eddie asked coolly, as if he didn’t have a caterpillar crawling along his upper lip to match Gerrard’s.
OR - Eddie is a little unhinged since Christopher left. When Buck gets yelled at for having facial hair, Eddie makes a spectacle out of his own.

Summary
“I heard Maddie won’t be walking you down the aisle.” At those words, Buck’s face shifts. The flicker of a smile fades, replaced by something smaller—something quieter. He glances down, avoiding Bobby’s eyes in the mirror.
“Yeah,” he says softly. “She’s officiating, so… I guess I’ll just walk myself down the aisle.” He shrugs, trying to play it off like it doesn’t matter, but Bobby sees the way his jaw clenches, the way his shoulders tense again like they’ve been carrying that thought all morning.
Bobby’s hands still on the tie. He doesn’t speak right away.
“Or—” he says eventually, voice gentle, “I could do it.”
Or it’s Buck and Eddie’s wedding day and Bobby is their gentle pillar
