   The Court of the Speaker hasn’t changed since the day he fell - same marble, same light, same silence carved to make a man feel small. He swears he’ll keep his distance, stand strong in his role as their scapegoat, their fallen son. But when the Speaker appears and calls him by the name he hasn’t heard since the fire, every promise burns to ash.
