“I did.” James managed to get out. “I mean I had something planned but I can’t seem to remember it, I wasn’t expecting…” James trailed off, his eyes were fixed on the stranger in front of him.
Pushing off the fence, the stranger took a step forward, “you weren’t expecting?” He was teasing, the smile on his face had turned coy and his camera hung around his neck, James swallowed and hoped the small sound that escaped him wasn’t audible.
“You.” He breathed out anyway after trying so hard to control his expressions and keep his reactions to himself.
