Katsuki first found the book at a small bookstore in a traditional Japanese town. Instantly falling in love with the main character despite knowing he’d never really find a man so perfect outside of those pages. He has the book for 7 years when he’s at a cafe reading and a villain ambushes him, zapping him with his quirk. The next thing Katsuki knows, he’s in his book and becomes the love interest to a character that was meant to fall in love with a female character. Katsuki ends up coming back to his world without Deku once the story is over. In his heartbreak he goes back to that very same book store only to find the owner of the store is the author of his favorite book, and the spitting image of his Deku. Once their eyes meet, Izuku whispers the name Kacchan, the very same name Deku gave him.
