But her failed engagement was the last straw that had her finally pulling out the envelope her grandfather left her. She’d known for years that it included the deed for his old farm, but finally breaking the seal and pulling it out filled her chest with a deep ache. A note with her grandfather’s familiar handwriting fell out with it.
