This version of Kaveh, Al-Haitham is familiar with: maudlin and pathetic. “It’s been years,” Al-Haitham says evenly. “I thought you got over me when you stopped sending me those terrible voicemails.”
Kaveh drops his head onto the table with a thud. “Don’t remind me."
Al-Haitham hasn't spoken to Kaveh in seven years. One night, Kaveh appears in his dreams.

Summary
Kaveh moves out in the middle of the night after having another fight with Alhaitham, which sparks a rumor that the two of them had broken up. Thinking that Alhaitham had started the rumor, Kaveh begins avoiding Alhaitham. Without him around, Alhaitham starts spiraling out of control as he realizes how alone he really is. When the alcohol stops being effective in drowning the memory of Kaveh, he turns to more permanent methods of erasing his memories when he volunteers in an experiment to completely wipe his mind. However, Kaveh finds out and is determined to get his memories back.
