Rebecca clears her throat lightly. “If you didn’t want to give a press conference, you didn’t need to hurl yourself out of a chair and crack your skull on the floor, you could’ve just told me.”
Ted laughs, but it makes his headache worse. “Well, it’s a classic reunion-cute tactic, you see,” She snorts and rolls her eyes. “Hey. It’s real good to see you again, Rebecca Welton.”
Rebecca swallows tightly, her smile flickering just so. “You really have no idea, Ted Lasso.”

This is a story about two souls growing. Partly an ocean apart, partly together.
"A part of her really wants to be vulnerable. Welcome everyone in with a warm smile and a promise to work on something wonderful together. But she feels like she has forgotten how to. At night, alone in her home, she feels a void in her middle, which she tries to fill with ice-cream and wine. But the armor won’t come up all the way either. She is trying so hard to protect herself, and some instincts come back quickly, but the armor has been scratched and now it has holes all over."

She liked traveling with Ted.
It’s not that she hated being on the road without him. She enjoyed touring; visiting different cities and learning their eccentricities and charms. But it was tiring. For as much as she felt charged by the energy of a nightly audience, the daily grind and repetitiveness of each day left her feeling exhausted.
