Summary
Before the Fall, God promised His four Archangels that one day He would create Perfection—a being so pure they would have to earn its love. That promise shaped Heaven, shaped them… and was shattered when Lucifer fell.
Now, on the brink of the Apocalypse, the truth is revealed: Perfection is Sam Winchester.
Haunted by guilt and longing, the Archangels—Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, and Gabriel—must set aside war to learn how to love the one being they were created to adore. And Sam, uncertain and overwhelmed, must choose what it means to be himself when others see him as divine.

Summary
Long before the Fall, the Archangels were creatures of pure love — made to worship, not to lead. But the Mark corrupted Lucifer, Heaven fractured, and God abandoned His throne.
Desperate to bring Dean back, Sam Winchester performs a summoning spell meant to call an angel. Instead, he unknowingly begins to walk the dreams of the Archangels — a boy of warmth and light, nameless and glowing, slipping through celestial minds. They fall in love with him, not knowing who he is or that they all dream of the same boy. Not knowing he’s real.
As the apocalypse nears, Sam begins to remember the dreams. And the Archangels begin to remember how to love.

Summary
Lucifer was cradling his face and it sent fear through every part of his mind that was still aware. He was speaking gently, but his words were cruel.
“Why do you think Dean didn't kill you?”
“I don't know” Sam answered honestly, because what was the point of lying anymore? He had nothing left to give, he had nothing left to hide. It was cold. So, so cold. Sam hated the way that he pressed more into Lucifer's hands because somehow they were warm, warm despite the cold.

Summary
"Fanaticism is redoubling your effort when you have forgotten your aim." (George Santayana)
Nicolo tries desperately to hold to the shattered fragments of belief after his life ends for the first time in Jerusalem.
“Would Allah wish death on me?”
At that, Yusuf’s head snaps up. He finds himself staring into Nicolo’s icy eyes.
And notices that they’re not ice after all. Maybe they were, once. But tonight, Nicolo’s eyes are the ocean -- vast and unknowable, but not unkind.
“I don’t know,” Yusuf says. “I was taught that Allah was merciful.”
Nicolo takes a long, dragging breath. “That is where God and Allah differ, then.”
