    Summary

“Is there anything we should know about Steve Rogers that’s not in the official record?”

Peggy looked down at the photographs again, shuffling through them until she found a still taken from the video footage of his Games. She held it up and said, “Only the same thing that people always forget about Victors, especially here in the Capitol.”

    “And what’s that?”

Despite the blood spattered across his face, Steve Rogers had still been handsome, three days out of Howard Stark’s Vita-Ray machine, with Abraham Erskine’s serum running through his veins. The bones of the slight boy he had been before were still visible in the shape of his face, the sharpness of his eyes, but he had abrogated his right to die in moldering obscurity the moment he had made himself known on Reaping Day.

“There’s only one way to win the Hunger Games.”

Six and a half decades after mysteriously vanishing, Panem's most famous Victor is found preserved in cryostasis. With a Quarter Quell rapidly approaching following the contentious and controversial 74th Hunger Games, Steve Rogers' resurrection threatens secrets that the Capitol has kept for three-quarters of a century...

    Summary

Maglor’s fate as per the published Silmarillion was to wander alone along the shore, singing in pain and regret. That version is the one that Christopher Tolkien created by making a slight amend to reconcile Elrond as a child with the Sons of Fëanor, with Elrond from Lord of the Rings, the Herald of Gil-galad.

This series occurs in an adjacent shade of Arda, and tells the story as per Tolkien’s version of the Silmarillion from 1937, which is slightly different to the published Silmarillion:

Yet not all the Eldalie were willing to forsake the Hither Lands where they had long suffered and long dwelt; and some lingered many an age in the West and North, and especially in the western isles and in the Land of Leithien. And among these were Maglor, as hath been told; and with him for a while was Elrond Halfelven, who chose, as was granted to him, to be among the Elf-kindred.
