Summary
“Do werewolves get erectile dysfunction or does the super healing thing take care of that?” It was out of the blue. Classic Stiles.
It was also the first clue. And Derek missed it completely. Later he would blame it on being half asleep. But instead of realizing something was wrong, Derek just blinked at his boyfriend stupidly. “All I asked was how many pieces of bacon you wanted.”
Stiles shrugged.
Derek turned back to the bacon, rolling his eyes where it couldn’t be seen. (Though, he did suspect that Stiles would know anyway.) “You do realize there’s no universal experience for werewolves, right? And seeing as I’ve never experienced that before…?”
Stiles laughed, high and forced (not that Derek registered that.) “Right. Right. Of course. Just curious. You know how it is.”
There was a jump in his heartbeat but Derek was too sleepy and focused on the food to recognize it for what it was. (He really should have realized something was up.)

“Your dad is entertaining guests,” Derek hisses at him. He begging Stiles to understand it. But he can’t say the words more plainly. He respects John and Stiles both too much.
“You’re acting like—“ Stiles cuts himself off. “I mean it’s not like…” He glances at the cars in the driveway. Then he looks back at Derek with a weird expression. “It’s not like—“
But Derek never finds out what it’s not like because someone inside makes a very loud noise and Stiles’ eyes grow horrified.

Then some lady at the store gives him that look. Like Kate. Her eyes are interested, and her grin is predatory, and Derek just knows she wants him. So he thinks to himself if he initiates it maybe it won’t leave him feeling so wrong. So he does. He lifts an eyebrow and pretends to want to look at her. She smiles and he thinks of predators in the wild, baring their teeth at prey.
He’s never understood why people can take one look at someone and want to have sex. But then, maybe it’s just something that’s broken in him. So he pretends to understand. Better to pretend than admit something’s wrong...right?

Eddie lets him approach, this time. Lets him reach out to touch, to curl his fingers in the hem of Eddie’s shirt.
“Sorry, I know I probably sound crazy, I just––” he pulls it up, stares at Eddie’s side, and then lets out a hysterical little noise that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob.
“You’re ok,” Steve says.
His fingers are hot on Eddie’s skin, pressed light and shockingly reverent to the space between his hip and rib cage.
“You’re ok,” he repeats. It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Hey,” Eddie says. It comes out more breathless than he’d prefer but Steve fucking Harrington has him backed against a wall in a bathroom with his hands up Eddie’s shirt so he thinks a little lack of air is warranted. “Are you ok?”
The fingers on his abdomen flex. "No,” Steve says. His eyes are wide and fathomless and the look on his face is terrible. “No, I’m not even remotely ok.”

Objectively she wasn't wrong about that. His eyes stung. It was different for him though. Four years ago he stayed in the Cloud Recesses for the guest lectures and was thrown out by Lan Qiren in the end. How would he survive living there?
Or: Wei Wuxian marries into the Lan Sect expecting to be miserable but slowly learns to make it and the people of the Lan Sect his home. And maybe he'll even get to keep it for once.
