    3.) Gavin Reed doesn't have a soulmate. RK900 does.

    Or: Because Gavin doesn't have a soulmate, he's missing half of his emotions. RK900 has emotions from the moment he initialized, and the first thing he noticed was the writhing, spitting presence at the edge of his programming. (It's meant to be.)
