Work Text:
Katsuki awakes to the feeling of something burrowing under his chin. Blearily opening one eye, he pushes away at the cat, earning himself an affronted mewl.
“Fuck off, Boom, not right now,” he grumbles, not that the cat seems to care. If anything, Boom just renews his efforts, curling himself up on Katsuki’s chest and settling down.
Katsuki groans.
Next to him, Hitoshi lays awake on his side, observing the scene with a lazy smile.
“You were the one who wanted a cat of your own, Katsuki,” he points out, absentmindedly petting Amber, who purrs contentedly. “I did inform you of the responsibilities of owning one.”
Boom seems to agree, unfurling himself in order to pad forwards on Katsuki’s chest and snuggle into his neck again. Acquiescing to the demanding little cat, Katsuki runs his hand up and down the smooth black coat, earning himself purrs to match Amber’s.
“You didn’t fucking tell me it would ask for goddamn cuddles at eight in the morning,” he huffs, but Hitoshi simply laughs, bundling Amber up into his arms so that he can lean in and press a soft kiss against Katsuki’s mouth. Katsuki’s eyes flutter shut of his own accord, expecting the follow up kisses that usually come.
Except they don’t, and Katsuki opens his eyes fractionally to see Hitoshi grinning down at him.
“You little shit,” Katsuki pouts, although he can’t bring himself to be annoyed at his boyfriend, especially not when the soft light hits Hitoshi’s face so beautifully. “I want more fucking kisses.”
“And you call the cats demanding,” Hitoshi laughs, nonetheless kissing Katsuki again. Katsuki feels Bomb wriggle out from underneath him, probably joining Amber, who’s already leapt from Hitoshi’s arms to stretch on the bed. It gives Hitoshi the freedom to wrap his arms around Katsuki’s waist, falling back and pulling Katsuki on top of him, never breaking their kisses.
“Dumbass,” Katsuki murmurs against Hitoshi’s lips, wrapping his arms around the purple-haired man’s neck to bring himself closer.
“I love you too,” Hitoshi replies, kissing Katsuki languidly, allowing their lips to linger against each other. Katsuki could stay like this for the whole day, but of course, the fucking cats have to start meowing, demanding to be fed.
Katsuki breaks the kiss to glare at the tabby and the black cat, who are both profusely meowing at the couple. Hitoshi rubs small circles into Katsuki’s back to soothe him, pressing a few kisses to Katsuki’s neck to make sure that he’s calm.
“We have the whole day, Katsuki,” he reminds gently, although really, Katsuki wants even more. He wants the entire fucking year off to spend time with Hitoshi, but of course, Pro Heroes don’t get that kind of luxury.
Then again, he’s sure the agency will give them time off for a wedding and a honeymoon. All Katsuki has to do is present the ring that he’s kept hidden at the bottom of his safe at work. But that’s for another time.
Katsuki yawns and stretches, sitting up and pulling Hitoshi up with him.
“Let’s feed these little fuckers then,” Katsuki says, and Bomb mewls an affirmative.
“We could, if you’d get off my lap,” Hitoshi chuckles, running his hands up and down Katsuki’s sides before pulling him into another kiss.
Bomb and Amber have had enough of waiting, though, and pounce in between the couple, pawing at their chests and making such puppy dog eyes that Katsuki almost believes they aren’t cats at all.
“We’ll pick this up later, Katsuki,” Hitoshi promises, kissing the tip of Katsuki’s nose.
“I hate you, you fucking dork,” Katsuki sighs, but the smile on his face says otherwise.
