   Summary

   1870s- When John Watson, a married, doctor- turned poet, receives a letter from Sherlock Holmes presenting his work, he is astounded. He can’t imagine anyone so young could write such revolutionary and moving poetry. Upon inviting Holmes to his estate in order to help him gain more recognition for his writing, John can’t help but become captivated by the young man’s wild and uninhibited spirit. The two of them engage in a damaging and tumultuous relationship that neither seems to be able to escape from completely.
