Work Text:

3.8 Billion Years Ago

Eru would come to eventually create the Ainur. The Ainur were to be incredibly powerful, eternal beings. Eru made the Ainur to help prepare Arda for the coming, Children of Eru.

However, the Ainur would come to be divided by Melkor, the strongest of the Ainur.

Melkor, who with his followers, the Maiar, believed Galactus to be the true "God of Ea"- Not Eru.

The Ainur that stayed loyal to Eru become known as the Valar.

Eru, seeing the opposition from Melkor growing, then created a new physical host for Atum- to return to Arda. He created the new form so that Atum could return to Arda, and help to defeat Melkor, and the Maiar. Atum would then become known as, Tulkas, and he would lead the Valar.

To further strengthen his ranks, Melkor would create thedemon beasts, the Dragons, and the Balrogs. The strongest of which were Smaug and Surtur, respectively.

Finally, Arda was ready, and the time had come for Eru to create the first of the Children of Eru- the Elves and the Numenoreans.

Melkor was soon able to corrupt some of the Children of Eru, and in doing so- He created the Dark Elves, and the Deviants.

Melkor's army had grown, on Arda, to become a very formidable force. The army, known as Morgoth, was lead by Melkor's top followers: Sauron (Maiar), Malekith (Dark Elf), and Attuma (Deviant Numenorean).

Tulkas would lead the Valar against Morgoth, and in the end, Tulkas was able to banish Melkor to Apokolips!

Melkor would never be able to enter Ea, again. Melkor's army, Morgoth, would then become a secret cult.

They would retreat to the furthest, darkest corners of Arda.

Some of Melkor's followers did leave Arda, and they began traveling Ea to find another host planet. They would become known as the Lord's of Chaos. These beings included Malekith, and the Dark Elves- who left Arda with another group of Maiar.

Eru, betrayed by some of his own Children, decided to no longer interfere in the affairs of Arda.

Eru then offered the Valar to leave Arda, an to come and stay with him in New Genesis. The Valar, whom chose not to go to New Genesis, were told that they must leave Arda.

Those Vakar, whom left Arda, then traveled Ea as the Lord's of Order.

Before leaving Arda, Eru did birth the last of the Children of Eru- Men.

Eru would birth Men from the model of Atum.

In one last act, to help ensure the future of Men, Eru created the Istari. The Istari were to be charged with aiding, and guiding the evolution of Men.

No other beings, on Arda, were as powerful as the Istari. And thus- the Istari were forbidden from ever directly interfering in the evolution of Men.
