   Summary

   France, 1944. In the midst of the worst war the world has ever seen, an unlikely friendship strikes up between Levi Ackerman, a widowed French Jew, and Eren Jäger, a lieutenant in the German Wehrmacht who hides a dangerous secret. The two must work together as they deal with love, loss, dignity, and the horrors all around them.
