Isaac’s Baby Girl

Summary:

Inspired by and gifted to GentlyWithAChainsaw, written in the Derek's Baby Boy universe.

Isaac loved looking after the pack's humans, but without the time and resources to get approved by The Society when a new human wanders into the forest, he does the only thing he can think of...

Chapter 1: Chapter One

Chapter Text

“Daddy!" Stiles yelled as Derek walked through the door. Derek smiled widely and practically ran over to pick him up.

"Oh my baby boy, I've missed you. Did you have fun with Uncle Isaac?" Derek asked as Stiles rubbed his cheek against his stubble, the baby just hummed, taking in his Daddy after he was gone for the day. Derek smiled.

"Was he any trouble?"

"Nah, he was golden, as always." Isaac replied smiling at the sight in front of him.

"I made you a special picture Daddy," Stiles said happily, squirming so Derek would put him down so he could show him.

Derek fawned over the picture and Stiles practically glowed under the attention, Isaac watched on, his smile slightly fading. Moments like these kept happening lately.

All the pack members had babysat the kids every once in a while, and they were all happy to do it but Isaac more than most now. He never had any young relatives, and when he first heard about these communities after he was turned he really wasn't convinced about the whole 'humans are meant to be cared for' thing, but anything was better than on his own, especially his father. So he happily moved after he finished school. At first he tried not to think about the human babies that surrounded him, but after a while he did see it was for the best and started to love the happy giggles he heard whenever he left the house.

When Isaac first met Stiles he was nervous but excited, he knew he would be good for Derek and by God was he right. He was never without a smile on his face and hardly without the baby on his hip, but that was how Derek liked it. Isaac didn't start babysitting until long after Stiles was properly settled, scared that he would somehow do something wrong or even revert some of his regression. But after he came over and played with Allison while Scott and Kira wrapped her birthday presents, he realised he didn't need to worry. And despite changing a diaper or two that day he loved spending time watching her, and soon Donovan and Stiles as well.

The way Stiles looked up at Derek with pure trust and love, and how Derek was able to love a human again because of it. Isaac was jealous.

"Let's go put this on the fridge," Derek said picking up Stiles again and carrying him into the kitchen.

Isaac smiled again and started to get his stuff together, soon he would leave and go back to his empty house.

You were lost.

You no longer had a job, apartment or boyfriend, and now you were lost.

"God dammit," you said holding your tear ducts in an effort to stop the oncoming flow.

You didn't.

You did the only thing you could and kept wandering aimlessly through the woods.

***

"Have you seen Isaac lately?" Derek asked looking away from the babies.

"You mean that broody guy who keeps offering to watch my little girl?" Scott said smiling. Kira had to sort some business outside of town so the men thought it was a good day for a playdate.

"I wish he would just bite the bullet and admit he wants one already," Derek replied taking a sip of coffee.

Scott hummed and looked at the babies again, it was a perfect sight now that Allison was regressed and Kate wasn't in the picture anymore. He smiled at his little girl as the two played with Stiles' Avengers action figures.

"An' an' an' then Iron Man swoops down, an' throws a bomb to blow up the bad guys." Stiles said, Allison giggled and mimed Hawkeye being thrown in the air before doing a coupe flips and landing perfectly.

"I know, he practically leapt out of his seat last week when you said you needed someone to babysit last week."

"You should've seen the look on his face when he had to leave, it was like someone had kicked a puppy"

"Which do you think he'd get, a boy or girl?"

"I don't know, he loves to play games with Stiles, but when he looks at Ally he gets all mooney eyed."

"Yeah just like you when you first got her," Derek joked.

"Oh come on, like you didn't look at Stiles the same," Scott replied.

They both chuckled, knowing that their babies had them wrapped around their fingers since day one.

***

You were tired, you were cold, you were hungry, and it would be getting very dark very soon.

You sat down, trying to figure out your next move. I mean seriously, who thought a hike in the woods was a good idea?

Well you did, but that wasn't the point.

You just wanted to do one thing that was still yours, something you loved and always did.

Until you wandered too far and got lost with no cell phone, no idea how to get back and limited food and water which was now gone.

You yawned and lay back, walking all day with barely any sleep left you even more tired than you already were after the day you had.

You closed your eyes just for a second before you found out they were now glued shut.

***

"What do you mean 'in the middle of the woods'?" Derek asked, barely remembering to keep his voice down.

"We mean a girl..." Ethan started.

"In the middle of the woods!" Aiden finished.

Derek ran a hand over his face, "okay just...just give me a minuet. I'll meet you there, just don't wake her up."

Stiles had already gone down but it had taken a lot of rocking and two stories. He always fussed a bit more at bedtime at the start of summer, insisting that because it was still light he should still be awake. It didn't take that much longer for him to fall asleep but no way would he go down again if he was woken up and taken to Peter's.

Seeing as there weren't many options he grabbed the baby monitor and a special bottle, locked the door and ran over to Peter's.

After practically throwing the baby monitor at Peter as soon as he opened door with a three word explanation, Derek ran through the woods. There was no time to waste.

A human had been found on their land.

Ethan and Aiden were going on a run through the woods by the border when they picked up a scent, a human one they were unaware of. Defiantly not smelling an accompanying werewolf meant they had to check on what was hopefully a lost little. But no such luck.

Derek quickly found where they were and slowed as he neared them. Ethan and Aiden were standing over her, he nodded a greeting to the twins and looked down at her.

She looked...small. About twenty and fully developed, but if he didn't know better he would've said she's a little who 'escaped'. She had the same kind of air about her that all the little do before they fully sink down: innocence but full of pain.

"Are we sure she doesn't live here?" Aiden asked.

"Yes," Derek replied, "I would've heard about a planned escape or a little lost in the woods."

"So a hunter?" Ethan asked.

"I don't know, but we have to assume the worst, which is why I brought this." Derek held up the bottle and keeled down, he opened her mouth and squeezed some of the sleepy-time formula on her tongue.

"That should keep her asleep, get her to Deaton."

"What will he do?" Aiden asked as Derek stood up.

"Keep her till morning at least, I'll go there tomorrow."

"Need someone to babysit?" Aiden asked as Derek started to run home.

"Don't worry, I'll call if I need you."

***

You had no idea what the hell was going on.

One minute you were having a rest in the woods, the next you're chained to a wall in a room like in the documentaries you'd seen about psyc wards.

Whoever brought you here had changed your clothes to white leggings and long sleeve t-shirt, and your backpack was nowhere to be seen.

You had no idea where you were, what time it was or who even brought you here. You suddenly found it very hard not to cry again, although this time you kept your composure.

You jumped when you saw a man standing in the window watching you, you squirmed under his gaze and looked away. You heard a beeping and you looked up at him as he walked in the room.

"Hi there," his face seemed to have soften slightly, "what were you doing so far out in the woods?"

"I-I was just on a walk, I swear."

"Pretty far in for a walk, would've taken you a long time to get where you did."

"I wasn't p-paying attention, I-I didn't mean to."

He stared at you for a while before giving a small smile, which didn't comfort you in the slightest, before walking out again.

***

"You're sure?" Derek asked Deaton.

"Positive, she's incredibly lucky she wasn't shot. I still have no idea how she got past the border."

"Unless it wasn't luck at all," Derek said looking unconvinced.

"Derek, the twins found her asleep and didn't show any resistance to the tranquilliser you gave her, no one has come after her, we're almost done checking the woods and no one else has come up, I looked through her stuff and changed her clothes and there is still no reason to assume she's a threat. She was terrified but she wasn't lying when I spoke to her."

"Even is she is innocent what do we do with her. We're not on any map and if she starts spreading rumours that there's a secret community to other humans..." Derek gritted his teeth.

"Well you said it yourself, she's innocent," Deaton replied with a knowing look. Derek shook his head.

“No, Deaton.”

“Why not?”

"Because even if we got the society to agree to that, which could take months, I don't know anyone in town who's looking for a baby and is already approved. And if we wait for somebody to be approved we need somewhere to keep her, which we don't have, and people to look after her, which we don't have."

"Then what do you want to do with her?"

Chapter 2: Chapter Two

Chapter Text

The streets were empty as Isaac walked over to Derek's. Everybody was inside, having meetings with their pack talking about...something. The alphas had kept it all hush hush to try an avoid panic but even Stiles knew something was wrong after his Daddy had to take a mornng trip to the hospital, and it wasn't easy to make a baby feel better when you don't know the answer to the question they keep asking, Isaac soon found out.

He opened the front door and walked into the kitchen to worried murmurs.

"Unc' Isaac," Stiles said happily. Isaac grinned and immediately took the outstretched baby from Boyd, he kissed the pacifier that the baby was sucking on which resulted in a fountain of giggles.

"Hey, why don't you play with your cousins for a bit?" Isaac said once he looked back up and saw the dark look on everyone's faces. Stiles nodded and Isaac put him on the carpet of the living room and watched him crawl over to the play mat where Allison and Donovan were already sitting before turning back and walking into the kitchen.

"We found a girl in the woods," Derek said as they all sat down at the table.

"What, a hunter?" Isaac asked surprised.

"No, just a girl," Derek clarified. "Now that you're all here I can tell you properly. Ethan and Aiden found her in the woods two days ago, they took her to Deaton while she slept and I went over there yesterday morning." He took a pause. "Deaton is convinced that she's not a threat. He talked to her and had border guards triple check the woods and it doesn't look like hunters. But due to the circumstances we can't just let her go, with limited options available...Deaton suggested, with the Society's approval, that she get adopted."

"He can't be serious," Peter said in disbelief.

"We don't know a thing about this girl," Boyd added.

The rest of the group looked slightly uneasy but not as bad as the two who distrusted humans the most.

"We can't have her running around talking about the secret community in the woods," Derek said calmly, "and Deaton found her information, she's a perfect candidate."

"If she was a perfect candidate then how come the Society don't have her on file already?" Kira asked. The society have names of pretty much everyone with a disrupted home life by the age of sixteen and keep more tabs on them if their life starts to go downhill, then they make a file on them if they're considered a candidate.

"Because she wasn't until two days ago. She was in a relationship with a boy called Kelvin Bernal, which is an alias of Garrett."

"Garrett as in...Garret and Violet?" Liam asked slightly worried.

"Oh, the girl dated one of The Orphans, this couldn't possibly be a set up," Peter said sarcastically. "And how is Deaton planning on getting everyone else on board? Need I remind you Deucalion has a history with outsiders."

"She's only now a candidate because he left her without so much as a note, framed her for fraud and caused her to loose her job and apartment, which backed onto the forest. And Deaton is having the other Alphas come and see her today, including Deucalion, to allow them to see what he sees and ask any questions their pack gives them."

The two still looked unsure while the rest of the pack seemed pretty neutral.

"We still need to receive approval from the Society, and after that we'll need someone to adopt her," Isaac's ears perked up at that, "and even then we need someone to watch her until that happens but...trust me when I say this is our best option."

So far you had figured out three things: you were in a hospital, the man was Doctor Deaton and everyone in the town was mad.

After your little 'talk' with the doctor things slowly started to go weird. A little while after a nurse brought you a bottle of what looked like milk but tasted a bit different, like what you assumed formula for babies tasted like. You only drank it because you were starving, and after you were pretty sure it had something in it to make you more complaint. Not that you were much of a fighter anyway, and even then you wouldn't be able to get out of the chains on your wrists.

And then, every once in a while, someone would come to the window with a nurse, most smiled at you and you saw them ask questions at the nurse before walking off again. They would look at you like the staff did, like you're a baby animal or something, like you're picture of pure innocence. Apart from one man, you were pretty sure he was blind and he was linking arms with someone else who wasn't nurse. The bald man that he was with took one look at you and whispered in the blind man's ear before they both walked off.

And the nurses used the kind of language someone would use with a small child, after people stopped coming to the window a woman came in wearing bright scrubs and undid the chains finally. She introduced herself and asked you if you wanted to 'use the potty' with an outstretched hand, and the only reason you didn't correct her and slap her hand away was because you were sure your bladder was about to explode. It didn't stop you from blushing as this 'Melissa' led you to the Ladies Room and back while holding her hand.

After that every hour someone would come in an you'd ask them something, 'when can I go?' 'why am I here?' and the only reply was a smile and asking you in you needed the bathroom (not that they used those words), or sometimes they'd give you another bottle and take an old one away.

It was getting old, fast.

Eventually Doctor Deaton came back in and you blew a sigh of relief, at least he asked questions like an actual person. He brought a chair in with him in this time and sat down, he smiled at you.

"How are you feeling?"

In a way it was almost as patronising as the nurses, he was looking down at you sat on the floor and asked you how you felt as you were being held hostage. You considered not answering but you knew it was better to play it smart.

"Confused," you replied quietly. He gave you that soft smile again.

"I'll bet, but soon everything will make sense." That made you swallow thickly.

"Who were those people? The ones who were looking at me."

"Those were the Alphas of the area. Do you know what an Alpha is?" You shook your head.

"An Alpha is a very special werewolf."

They weren't mad, they were all fucking insane.

"Do you know what a werewolf is?" This time you didn't answer you just stared at him.

"Werewolves are who make up this community you've found, and sometimes they take very special people and make their lives better, and all the Alphas have convinced everyone that we should do that for you! Aren't you lucky." Your heart was pounding, this definitely wasn't going to be as good as he was trying to make it sound.

"So what we're gonna do now is we're going to put you in a different room and some different clothes and people are going to take care of you."

You didn't know what kind of 'care' he meant but you did know it meant you wouldn't be able to leave.

"No, no I don't want that." Deaton gave you a sad look and got up.

"I know you've had all those bad grown-up thoughts in your head for a while now but don't worry, they'll all soon go. And you don't have to spend time with those nasty humans again, okay?"

You pushed yourself against one of the padded walls in an effort to get away from him.

"No, no please-"

"Shh, it's okay Sweetheart, come with me," he put his hand out like that nurse did. This time you hit it as hard has you could. The Doctor sucked his teeth and you felt a sharp pain in your neck before the world started spinning.

"There we go, you don't need to worry about anything anymore."

***

"So what happens now?" Liam asked.

"Deaton has a sister who's a head nurse at the adoption centre, he made a call so she should be able to get a decision out of them quicker than just an email. After that we don't really know. There are plenty of people in this town that are waiting to be approved so we're hoping they'll volunteer and possibly adopt her when the all the paperwork is done on both sides." Derek replied.

"So, you don't need to be approved already to take care of her at the hospital?" Isaac asked trying to sound casual, Derek smiled.

"That's what Deaton said."

Chapter 3: Chapter Three

Chapter Text

"I thought you got over your whole human thing with Stiles?" Isaac asked as he signed into the hospital.

"I have. Mostly," Boyd replied, "she's just... new."

Isaac hummed in understanding. Boyd had come with him today to settle his old instincts and see that the new human was harmless, while Isaac was getting an interview from the hospital to see if he was suitable to help watch her.

"Isaac, Boyd, if you'd like to follow me," Melissa said walking over with a friendly smile.

Melissa lead them to the third floor, it was quiet as they followed her to a window, what he saw made Isaac's heart skip a beat.

There was a girl in the crib right beneath the window, her limbs were strapped to the corners of it but she looked so calm while she slept. She had thick lashes and rosy cheeks, her hair framed her face perfectly. Despite having long limbs she looked so small, it just made Isaac'a heart melt.

"You can stay here as long as you want Boyd while I talk to Isaac," Melissa said pulling him from his thoughts, "Isaac if you could come in here."

She opened a door next to the window that lead to a small room with a coffee table and two chairs, Melissa sat down and picked up the clipboard that resided on the table and Isaac sat down opposite her.

"Now I know you're more than able to help out with her but I just need to fill in some boxes for the paperwork. I've already written down your basic information so it's just some questions on experience and timings."

"Okay."

"So for a reference who do you want me to put down?"

"Uh Scott." Melissa smiled.

"Are you planning on adopting any time soon?"

Isaac stayed quiet and looked at his hands, Melissa smiled again.

"We can fill that one in later, when are you able to help out?"

"Anytime. Anytime really."

"Well that's very noble of you but sadly we do have some young girls who are very eager as well. How about you help out for four hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And if someone can't make it we'll contact you."

"Yeah that sounds okay."

"Okay great. Do you want to meet her now?"

Isaac barely registered what she said, he smiled out of hope. "Yes please."

Melissa smiled back and led him out of the room again, Boyd was still standing at the window staring down at her, but despite his poker face Isaac knew that his friend was feeling better about the new baby. Melissa walked behind him and opened up the other door on the opposite side of the window with a key card.

Without the baby in Isaac's line of sight he got a brief look at the room, there was a simple play mat in the middle of the floor, a rocking chair opposite the crib and a changing table to the left of it. Everything was white apart from the wooden rocking chair and the pale pink bedding of the crib.

"Deaton said her name was y/n."

"She's beautiful," Isaac said not taking his eyes off her now, Melissa smiled.

"I think she'll quite like you."

***

Isaac couldn't sleep Sunday night.

He couldn't recall for the life of him what the pack meeting had been about earlier that day, all he remembered was his pack taking jabs at his anxiety which apparently had attached itself to his scent like a limpet.

He didn't even know why he was so worried, it was just babysitting. He'd done it a thousand times before.

He sighed and rolled over, attempting to doze until the sun came up.

***

Isaac's heart was pounding as he walked through the hospital doors Monday morning.

He tried to convince himself it was nothing, and that he couldn't get like this every time he took care of her.

It did little to calm him down.

Despite his complete lack of sleep, Isaac felt like he could burst. He'd be looking after a baby baby, all by himself. He wouldn't have to worry about doing something the way their parent wouldn't. Or if he made a small mistake, it's not like she could tell anyone.

He didn't remember signing in or getting on the elevator, but suddenly he was standing at her window.

She was so tiny.

Melissa had e-mailed him instructions after his interview, and it said that sometimes they put her arms and legs in restraints as she slept, other times they swaddled her tightly. Beneath the window she was swaddled in a pink blanket, frown lines smoothed out in her peaceful sleep and Isaac felt like he could watch her forever.

He took a deep breath and let himself into her room.

Despite memorising all of Melissa's instructions, Isaac was lost at what to do. It was pretty basic because she was so young. Wake her, change her, feed her, put her to sleep again for an hour and start all over again. But suddenly being alone with her was...

'Stop it, get your head in the game.' He let out a long exhale and walked over to the crib.

"y/n, wake up," Isaac gently ran his hand over her face as her eyelashes fluttered.

Her mouth started to wrinkle around the pacifier strapped to her head as she started to wake up. Melissa had said she had pretty much skipped to the stage of physically fighting because of all the people who had seen her before she was moved to this room, so she knew no one was coming to save her here. In a way it was helpful, because she didn't try to overpower anyone, which would just be pointless, but on the other hand it just meant she cried a lot, which she started to do now.

Tears started streaming down her face and Isaac could hear her breath hitches in her throat. His heart actually hurt because of it.

"Oh no," Isaac picked her up and cradled her to his chest, "don't cry, Sweetheart. Please don't cry."

***

"Please don't cry."

There was something about this man's voice that comforted you more than any of the girls who had been in yesterday. Unlike them, he wasn't making his voice ridiculously high when you started crying, he seemed actually concerned that you were upset.

He ran his hand up and down your back, despite it being over the blanket a nurse had swaddled you in, you could feel that it was big and...sightly comforting. You took a deep breath and wiped your tears away on his t-shirt.

"There we go," he murmured. It made his chest vibrate and you found it hard not to press yourself further into his large body in an effort to just disappear.

"My name's Isaac, I'm gonna take care of you for a bit today, okay?"

'Do I have a choice?' You thought.

"Let's get you clean, huh?" The man, Isaac apparently, walked over to the oversized changing table. You thought about fighting but your ass was starting to get itchy. You had no idea what they did to you but you woke up in your own piss every time you slept now.

He un-wrapped the tight blanket and goosebumps arose on your skin, they had put you in a legless onesie and kept the room freezing. You shivered against the changing table.

"I know, Sweetheart. Just give me a minuet."

He undid the onesie and started to change you, you tried not to focus on what was happening during these changes but it was hard when the wipes were as cold as the room. On the bright side, he seemed to do it quite tenderly and quickly. Still not as quick as the girl who had said something about her working at a daycare, she seemed to change you in seconds which was kind of good but it also left you feeling...cheated? Everything was confusing and the thoughts brought tears to your eyes again.

Isaac misconstrued the tears as you feeling cold again.

"I know, I know. There we go," he said as he smoothed over the last tape and picked you up again, wrapping the blanket around your shoulders.

The whole thing was so humiliating. These people had kidnapped you just because you were on their land, and at first you were scared they were going to kill you, and now you weren't sure whether or not this was better. They were treating you like an infant, you were pretty sure they made you incontinent, they had young women come in and treat your struggles like a fussy baby. And to top it all off, even if you could get out of this hospital, the amount of people who had come to see you made it clear that no one cared that you were being held against your will, so no one would help you get home.

Not that you had one anymore.

You whimpered and burrowed yourself into Isaac's chest, this time for comfort.

Chapter 4: Chapter Four

Chapter Text

"There we go, all better now," Isaac said as he patted her back.

He unconsciously started to rock as he held her tighter, she tried to burrow into him 'just an act probably' he thought. Melissa said that she wouldn't quite be textbook and that anyone watching her would need to be on their toes, luckily it looked like she had just skipped ahead to what seemed to be the start of acceptation.

"You hungry, hm?" Isaac said still rocking, he had been given a pass when he signed in that made him able to open the door, he put it over the sensor and walked out of her room. "Let's go get a bottle."

From her furrowed brow Isaac could tell that, despite it being a hospital for humans and it being common for babies to be taken on strolls when they get fussy, the girls who had taken care of her the yesterday hadn't taken her out of her room. He smiled down at her confused face and held her tightly as he went to get bottle.

Luckily he didn't have to go too far, there was a cafeteria on the same floor and they were always stocked with warm bottles. As he walked past the tables towards the counter she hid her face in his chest, probably to hide from the few people sat eating, despite the fact none of them batted an eyelid at the pair.

"Hi," Isaac said to the girl at the counter, "can I get a bottle please."

"Of course," she said smiling before walking away. Isaac looked back down at her and noticed she was now looking out of one of the windows, it showed the garden on the bottom floor.

"You like the pretty flowers, Sweetheart?"

She looked up at him hesitantly, probably unsure of what she was allowed to do. She nodded slowly.

"Yeah? Maybe, if you're good, we'll go out there one day." Isaac smiled again and her face softened, he though she might smile but no such luck.

"Here you go," the young woman behind the counter, Jody according to her name tag, said coming back with a warm bottle in hand.

"Thanks," Isaac said taking it from her.

"She's cute," Jody said nodding towards the baby, which prompted her to blush and hide her face in his chest.

"And shy apparently," Jody chuckled. "Not feeling very social are we Princess?" She ran her fingers over her side and Isaac felt the baby tense, sensing an oncoming meltdown he wrapped up the conversation.

"Anyway, I should  get to feeding her."

"Of course." Jody smiled as Isaac walked off stroking her back.

He got her back in her room and when she finally revealed her face he saw her eyes were full of tears.

"Oh Sweetheart," Isaac crooned, he sat down in the rocking chair and put the bottle on the floor. He pulled her close and while she didn't burrow into him like before, she didn't pull away either, just lay on his chest sniffling.

"I know it's hard with all those bad thoughts in your head, but you behaved like an angel, I'm sure your Mommy or Daddy will be very proud to hear that when they pick you."

Her breath hitched and more tears flowed. Derek and Scott had mentioned a bunch of stuff to Isaac about the stages before a human fully settles, and Melissa had sent him some links to what he should expect so he knew what he was saying wouldn't comfort her...yet.

Soon she would be as perfect as any other baby in the hospital.

***

You couldn't stop crying now, the only thing that stopped your sobs was the pacifier still strapped around your head.

It wasn't fair, why did these people have to take you? Sure your life wasn't great at the start, but it started to get good, and it didn't matter that it got bad again, it was still your life.

So what if your got fired? So what if your boyfriend left you without rhyme or reason? So what if you were framed for fraud and the only thing that was worth enough to cover your bail was the deed to your apartment?

This man that was holding you, this incredibly sweet man who was holding you had no right to make you feel slightly comforted when he rubbed your back or held you tightly. Not when everyone around you was apparently crazy and thought they were werewolves and because of that they thought it was okay to make you a big baby.

You were brought out of your thoughts when Isaac cupped your cheek and ran his thumb under your eyes to wipe away the tears.

"Breath Sweetheart, it's okay. You're okay." It was nice to hear the vibrations though his chest as he spoke, but it didn't stop your short breaths.

You barely felt Isaac undo the strap around your head and take the overlarge pacifier out of your mouth, if you hadn't been so worked up you would've started screaming at him to let you go but you just couldn't calm down.

"y/n, Sweetheart you need to calm down, you'll make yourself sick. You're fine, everything's okay." Isaac contained to say sweet nothings in your ear until your breathing started to slow, he put your blanket in your hands and it helped to ground you even more.

"There we go, there there little one. See? Everything's okay."

"P-Please-" You cut yourself off when the dark look that fell upon Isaac's face at your attempt to speak, he didn't have say anything but the way his face went from loving to downright scary was enough to shut you up and make a couple more tears fall. He gave you a soft smile when he saw you fall silent again and ran a reassuring hand up and down your back again.

"Such a little girl shouldn't say such big girl words, if you show everyone you can be a good baby maybe you won't have to wear your paci all the time, unless you want it." You scrunched your nose before you could stop yourself but Isaac just chuckled.

"My nephew Stiles doesn't like sucking on a paci all the time either." Isaac saw the confusion on your face and continued. "My Alpha, Derek, has a little boy called Stiles, he's not much older than you and he only really likes his paci when he's tired or upset."

There were more people being treated like you? On one hand you weren't surprised because it seemed a little weird that the hospital had bottles at the ready, but on the other hand you just couldn't imagine how no-one knew about...wherever the hell you were.

Surely someone had to have noticed the missing people? Surely someone would come looking  for a person trapped here?

Your stomach grumbled and you noticed how hungry you had gotten.

"Are you ready for your bottle now Princess?" It was nice that Isaac asked, the girls previously had just took out your pacifier and put the bottle in your mouth quick enough it made you gag.

You nodded slowly, he smiled and manoeuvred your head into his elbow and popped the bottle into your mouth.

You couldn't stop blushing as Isaac looked down at you, the stupid grin on his face made you feel so small. You closed your eyes as the shame further showed on your face and you tried to imagine yourself somewhere else.

The feeding went slowly and the bottle that was defiantly drugged and the rocking motion meant you were dropping off quickly, you almost fell asleep in his arms by the time the bottle was pulled from your mouth. You whined instinctively before blushing again and Isaac chuckled again as he stood up.

You looked through groggy eyes and you saw him put a cloth on his shoulder before he put your chin on it and started to pat your back.

It was worse to prolong the inevitable so as you blushed for the umpteenth time that day you burped and he stopped patting but didn't put you back in the crib like everyone else when you were dropping off, he kept hold of you and continued to rock you in his arms.

With a full belly and soothing motion it wasn't long before you fell asleep.

Chapter 5: Chapter Five

Chapter Text

Isaac didn't want to put her down, the thought of letting go of the baby broke his heart, so he just held onto her and kept rocking even after her heartbeat evened out into unconsciousness. She was just so sweet, and her body just felt like it melted into his. She kept making the cutest snuffling noises in her sleep, and her heart beat was music to his ears.

Isaac liked babysitting the packs pups, but Donovan could be a terror sometimes, especially when he didn't get his way and Peter wasn't around to keep him in line, but it was still nice to play with him, he would always come up with strategy games that were surprisingly accurate. Stiles was amazing, he was the most relaxed and loving out of the three, willing to play whatever but still took the reigns when he was allowed to, but having to give him back to Derek made Isaac feel even more alone. And Allison was just so sweet, it took a long time for her to fully fall into her role but even before then her giggles and blushes made Isaac feel things he hadn't felt in a long time.

Allison was definitely his favourite though, she only beat Stiles because she was a girl. Scott always dressed her in the cutest outfits, not to mention she always had a tantrum if she couldn't wear her favourite tutu (which Isaac thought was adorable but Kira hated it because it made it impossible to clean). She also loved watching Barbie movies and would dance along, thriving under the praise anyone would give her.

Isaac wondered what the girl in his arms liked. Maybe she was like Allison, girly but also liked fighting games? Maybe she preferred blue over pink? Did she like colouring or not?

Issac wondered for a longtime, eventually her stirring brought him out of his thoughts. She brought a limp hand up to her face and rubbed her eye.

"Hello again," Isaac murmured.

She looked up at him and for a brief moment anger flashed  in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced with...something else, Isaac didn't know what it was.

"Shall we clean you up?" Isaac said walking over to the changing table, she was more compliant as she was still half asleep, although he did hear her sucking on the pacifier as he wiped her down. Isaac smiled, she probably didn't even realise she was subconsciously trying to get comfort from it.

"There we go," he lifted her back onto his hip once she was clean, "you're such a good girl."

A small smile teased at her lips but it was gone as soon as Isaac noticed.

"Now, you woke up a little early to have your next bottle, so why don't we just sit and talk for a bit, yeah?"

She gave a shy nod and Isaac smiled as he sat down on the rocking chair.

"Are you comfortable? Do you want your blanky."

The hospital had bought her a baby pink blanket from the society, it was the most basic blanket they offered along with the baby blue one, but that didn't stop it from being one of the softest things Isaac had ever felt.

She dropped her gaze and shook her head while a light blushed sweeper over her cheeks. Isaac thought she must of want it but was too embarrassed to say. Isaac smiled.

"Okay. Let me know if you get cold, okay?" She smiled shyly behind the pacifier.

"So as I told you my name's Isaac. I live in this community and I'm an artist."

She sucked on her paci but didn't seem to notice again, he continued.

"I mainly do landscapes like my garden or the forest, but sometimes I do portraits of my friends. Like my friend Scott, his mom is one of the nice nurses the help take care of you, you know Melissa?"

She nodded.

"Yeah that's Scott's mom. He has a sweet little girl like you, would you like to see her?"

Her smile fell but she nodded and Isaac pulled out his phone. He went on his photos and showed her recent photo of Stiles and Allison laughing with some toys in their hands. She leaned over his phone, brow furrowed in confusion. Isaac wondered what's she was thinking.

She swiped across, probably hoping to see some more photos of his nephews or niece but instead there was a photo of his cat, Loui. She made a quiet noise in her throat and Isaac smiled again.

"That's my kitty, he's called Loui, do you like him?" She nodded confidently.

"Maybe one day you'll get to meet him, he'd love you." She beamed up at him.

"Come on Sweetheart, let's get your bottle."

***

When Isaac fed you your fourth bottle you fell asleep like normal, but you woke up disoriented when you realised he wasn't in the room anymore. You had been left alone a few times since they had turned you into a 'baby', and the first and second time you attempted to escape but that just resulted in you out of breath trying to worm your way out of the restraints. It was nice to be alone now because it gave you some time to think.

Isaac has showed you a photo of some more people in this community, they looked about the same age as you in the same situation, the only difference being they looked content with whatever was going on here.

Not content, happy. Really happy.

The boy was dressed in a onesie while the girl was in a pink dress, you could clearly see the diaper he was wearing under his onesie and she had a sparkly pacifier clipped to her dress. They were both holding stuffed toys and looked like they had been playing with them before bursting out laughing.

They were happy, they were really happy. Despite not being the best at reading people, even you could tell there was no remorse or sadness in their eyes. They were happy with where they were and what life had delt them.

You had a sinking feeling in your stomach that everyone else in your situation were the same as them, their mind lost to whoever was looking after them.

Would that happen to you too?

The thought made you whimper and a young woman popped into your field of view.

"Oh what's the matter Honey, hmm?" She said three pitches higher than normal, she picked you up out of the crib as you continued to whimper.

Isaac couldn't stop smiling as he walked through his front door. He had to stop from running home, inspiration had hit him and it was always best to strike while the iron was hot.

He did end up running to his art room but managed to contain himself picking out his paints and canvas.

He picked out his best pencil and began to sketch.

Chapter Text

Isaac dropped his pencil when he heard the door bust open, he got up quickly and ran to the door to see Liam standing in the doorway, door broken, wearing the same look Stiles got when he lied about the lollipops Erika gave him.

“Sorry!” Liam blurted out. It was at this point Cody poked his head out from behind Liam and walked inside Isaac’s house. “Sorry my ass, he hasn’t left the house or spoke to anyone in three days.”

Isaac only now realised he was right, he had a bit of a habit of forgetting to socialise when he was feeling creative. He constantly had to remind himself to eat and drink, he forgot so much that he had to put a mini fridge in his studio.

“We just came to check on you,” Liam said following Cody to the kitchen

Isaac didn’t have nearly as much money as Derek did, and while he loved art, it’s not what most people call ‘stable’. But what money he did make was more than enough for him to get by in his little cottage. His kitchen was long and could probably only fit two people standing side by side in the aisle. Liam sat on the counter while Cody leaded against it a foot away, arms crossed.

“Guys I appreciate you coming over and…breaking my door and all, but I’m fine I just sketching.”

Cody didn’t look assured.

“Yeah that’s why we came over,” he said, “last time you were ‘sketching’ for more than a day no one saw you for a week.”

“Well this is very chivalrous of you both but as you can see I’m fine, really.”

Cody sighed.

“How’s the hospital volunteering going?” Liam asked, desperate to get rid of the awkward that hung in the air, Isaac smiled.

“Good thanks.”

“Looks like more than good, your heart just sped up.” Cody said with a smirk. Isaac rolled his eyes.

“Shut up,” Issac replied trying to sound convincing. Cody’s smirk widened.

“No seriously, have you filled out the adoption forms yet?” He teased.

“You’re such an ass,” Isaac replied but he couldn’t stop the grin that was tugging his lips. Cody turned to Liam.

“I mean, she’s probably been what he’s been drawing while he’s locked himself away.”

A slight blush swept Issac’s cheeks.

“No way,” said Cody, moving briskly to Isaac’s art room.

“No dont-“ it was too late, Cody had already opened the door and was laughing. Liam hopped off the counter and walked up behind Cody, he smiled too.

The majority of Isaac’s studio covered in sketches of a girl that could only be the one he had been volunteering for. Isaac rushed in and began snatching up the drawings, cheeks red in embarrassment.

“Okay,” Cody said catching his breath, smile still on his face, “when are you going to admit you want a baby? Come on man, everyone knows already, just admit it and ask one of us to put down a statement for your adoption application.”

Isaac sighed.

“I’m not like Scott or Derek, I don’t have the money to spend on starting the adoption classes, which you guys know as well as I do is how you get accepted. And then there’s the fact it’s gonna take years for my application to be processed without the money to push me up the waiting list, and even if I was approved tomorrow it’s gonna take years before I’m invited to an adoption day.”

The smiles were now wiped off both of the guys faces as Isaac sat down on one of his stools, drawings now placed on one of his tables.

“And even then it doesn’t help that the baby I want is gonna get snatched up before I can even write my name on a form for adoption.”

”You don’t know that,“ Liam said trying to say optimistic. Isaac look back in disbelief.

”You think a face like this stays without a mommy or daddy for long,” he said showing the boys the drawing on the top of the pile, “not to mention the fact everyone’s itching to hand her off to another community for adoption. And don’t pretend like pretty much everyone here doesn’t see her as anything more than a threat until she’s adopted.”

Cody looked at him for a moment before walking off back to the kitchen, Liam was about to follow him before he came back with three beers in hand. Isaac looked up at him skeptically.

“It’s noon.”

”It’s 8pm somewhere.”

Isaac sighed and took the beer from him, he passed Liam the other.

”To…unlikely things. May they happen to all of us.” Cody said.

”And to my door,” Isaac chimed in.

”I-I’ll fix it, promise.” Liam said looking slightly embarrassed. The other two chuckled at him and they all took a swig.

***

You were ready to scream. Wake up, change, feed, sleep. Wake up, change, feed, sleep. Wake up, change, feed, sleep. It went on, and on, and on.

And you had had enough.

You were sick of the baby voice that every peppy girl who came to look after you spoke in, the plastered smiles on their face just angered you and if it wasn’t for the mittens on you would’ve clocked one in the face at this point.

These few minutes you got before they came to wake you up were the only solace you had.

“Hello gorgeous girl!”

It never lasted long enough.

“Oh that’s not a happy face, come on princess, you gonna give me a smile.”

This girl-you think her name is Tracy-picked you up and held you over her head before bringing you back down into her arms. This girl was only a couple inches taller than you and she could still deadlift you over her head. If she wasn’t aiding in your kidnapping you’d be amazed.

“Not even a little one? No? Come on, give me a smile.”

You let out a frustrated whine.

“Oh okay, okay. Let’s get you changed then.”

She lay you down on the changing table and strapped you down. She opened your onesie and then the diaper. You would’ve thought you’d be used to them touching you now but you weren’t. It was the thing that pushed you to tears.

“Oh now what’s all this for?”

She picked you back up and cradled you and it only made you cry harder, she took the pacifier off your head and a cry fell out of your mouth.

“Are you hungry? Hmm?”

She put the bottle in your mouth so quick you almost chocked.

“There you go, drink up. That’s better, isn’t it.”

You had no choice but to suck the grainy formula. She didn’t even burp you properly when you finished, she just put you back in your crib as unconsciousness took you over.

***

When you woke up again your stomach still hurt, you wiggled around and realised Tracy didn’t strap you down. You sat up and pulled the pacifier from your head, you got the gas out of your stomach. You pulled your legs up to you chest.

What the hell were you going to do? This was your first and possibly your only chance to escape and you didn’t even want to try. It was too scary, if a 120 pound girl could hold you over her head, what could the rest of the hospital staff do?

The door opened and you pushed yourself back in the crib out of fear, you didn’t want another girl to come baby you, it was all too much.

But it wasn’t Tracy.

It wasn’t another young woman.

It was Isaac.

Tears spilled over your eyes, kind of from relief. Before you could stop yourself you raised to arms to him and started sobbing.

***

Out of pure instinct, Isaac raced to the crib and picked her up. He was at a bit of loss of what to do, she was somehow out of her straps and didn’t have her pacifier in. If she wasn’t crying Isaac would’ve of reprimanded her but she was sobbing and reached for him.

She reached for him.

To his knowledge, she hadn’t looked for comfort to anyone or anything.

”It’s okay,” he murmured. He rubbed her back and placed his cheek against her head. “You’re okay, come on, breathe.” He kept his voice low and she seemed to respond positively by laying her head against his chest.

Her breathing started to even out a bit, eventually the sobs tapered off into the occasional hiccup.

”You want to tell my why you weren’t in you stamps and why you weren’t wearing your paci, hmm?”

Her breathing picked up again.

”No no no princess, don’t cry, it’s okay. I’m not mad.”

She squirmed but didn’t start crying again, crisis averted.

”Did you find a way to get out of your straps?”

She shook her head that was still on his chest. Isaac was confused.

”Were you strapped down for nap time?”

She shook her head again, her heart rate remained the same. She was telling the truth.

”Did you have your paci in?”

She whined.

”y/n,” he said patiently, “did you have you paci in?”

She nodded slightly.

He pulled her out of her hiding place, her eyes were still red from crying and she looked heart broken. He couldn’t help but soften a bit at the sight.

”Do you know why little girls like you have to keep their paci in?” He asked as he walked to the rocking chair and sat down.

He wasn’t expecting and answer and he didn’t get one.

”Little girls like you can get confused sometimes and make big girl noises, and when that happens they have to be punished. But because everything you know in your pretty little head is wrong you can forget that. So babies have to have pacis in the make sure they remember and to make sure they don’t do something they shouldn’t.”

She looked almost ashamed that she took it out. Her gaze fell from his eyes.

”Now,” she looked back up, “you were such a good girl just now, you haven’t made any big girl noises, so I think I can trust you for a bit. Am I right? Can I trust you to act your age?”

She nodded her head seriously, Isaac smiled down at her, she gave a small smile back.

”Theres the smile I love.”

***

“Hm hm hm hm hm hm hm,” Isaac listened to her heart rate slow down. She had just taken her bottle and he had managed to convince her to put her paci back in. No strap required, he could help but feel a bit smug at that.

He was halfway through ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’
when he walked over to the crib and tried to put her down. She whined, he chuckled.

“Okay okay, I’ll hold you until you fall asleep,” he continued to rock her.

“ ‘ing ‘gain ple’,” she mumbled through her paci. It sounded so childish he felt no need to tell her off for speaking.

“Alright princess,” he resumed humming.

Eventually he heard her breath even out and he carefully laid her down. He took his time to put on the straps, even though she was still on sleepy time bottles he still acted like he might wake her up. He left the strap off the pacifier though.

He carefully shut the door behind him as he walked out and was surprised to see Alan standing in the window.

“You didn’t use the pacifier strap,” he said with a gentle smile on his face. Deep down he was a bit of a teddy bear.

“Oops, I forgot” Isaac said feigning guilt. Alan smiled at his lie.

“I think it might be time to start keeping her awake for a bit.”

“I thought you said not to start doing that until she had caregivers lined up?” Isaac said, hoping that wasn’t the case.

“We have a couple families people interested in the community in Portland.”

If Alan heard his heart rate speed up he didn’t show it.

“So she’s moving?”

“Unless someone here wants to adopt her, but nobody here is looking for a baby. At least from what I’ve heard, and trust me when I say I’ve been asking around.”

Isaac nodded trying not to look heartbroken, Alan excused himself to go tend to patients.

Isaac went to find Melissa, she was sat in the cafeteria nursing a cup of coffee.

“Isaac, what a nice surprise, what can I do for y-“

“Is there anyway, anything I can do to get myself approved in the next month.”

Melissa smiled at him.

Notes:

Somebody commented about Thiam and I just couldn’t resist but because Theo was an asshole for the majority of the series and is dead in this story I thought it better to write Cody in instead. Cody is Theo from season six. (Yes I know Duecalian is dead too but my fan fic my story lol)

Chapter 7: Chapter Seven

Chapter Text

“Okay,” Melissa said walking into her office, Isaac following closely behind her. “You’ll need this…and this,” she was walking from shelf to shelf pulling out documents and books, “and I’ll need this. I can give this to Alan.” She piled everything into Isaac’s arm. “Sit,” she instructed him.

He placed everything to the side of him as he sat opposite Melissa, she began typing quickly on her computer before the printer behind her started up.

“You were in foster care for a bit before you came here right?”

“Yes,” Isaac said quietly.

“So you know a bit about how it works, good. We have a similar thing to an emergency foster parent.”

“Like when kids stay a night or two at a foster parents house on short notice.”

“Yes. Now, I can put you through as an emergency foster parent, if you get approved she can stay with you until she gets adopted.”

Isaac’s face fell slightly.

“But,” she said finally looking at him, “that might-and I mean might-sway the agency into letting you adopt her. Unless it was some other little you had an eye on.”

He shook his head violently, she smiled.

The printer started printing. she tuned her chair to grab the documents that came out of it and then grabbed the pile by Isaac and began sorting them.

“Now I promise you, I will work magic in any way I can, and I doubt it will be hard to get Allan on board. But nothing is for definite.”

“I understand,” Isaac said trying to hide his excitement but failing miserably.

“Now, if you fill these out and get them back to me as soon as possible,” she said passing him a stack of documents, “and brush up on these,” she passed him some books with titles like What To Expect When Expecting A Little and It’s Just A Rash. He recognised a few of the other titles from Derek’s and Scott’s coffee tables when they were going through the adoption process.

”Are you sure I can take these?” Isaac asked hesitantly.

”You see that’s the good thing about being an advanced nurse practitioner. I can lend out books from my office.” Isaac smiled.

“D-do you think it will work?” He asked.

”Maybe,” Melissa said, “but it’s your best shot.”

Isaac nodded. “Thanks Melissa.”

***

Isaac dropped off the books and forms Melissa  gave him into his backpack that was in the locker the hospital gave to whoever was watching over y/n. He practically ran back to her room with the biggest grin on his face, he stopped dead when he saw Deucalion though.

He was stood in front of her window, Ennis beside him.

”What are you doing here?” Isaac asked gruffly, the entire pack had heard about his little ‘run in’ with Stiles. They were all amazed he made it out of his and Derek’s fight alive.

”Alan called me back here, he’s asked every alpha to ask every pack member if they want to adopt her.”

”So again I’ll ask what are you doing here?”

”Well from what’s described to me she’s rather…cute.”

The word ‘cute’ didn’t suit his tongue.

”Wouldn’t have thought any of your pack wanted a baby.”

”Well everyone in the community can’t wait to hand her off to someone,” he turned and took a step towards Isaac, “I’m sure if needs be we could…work something out.”

He and Ennis walked away.

It was only when Isaac couldn’t hear their footsteps anymore did he quickly walk into her room. Deucalion had made him…protective. He sat in the rocking chair and just watched her breathe, watching her chest rise up and down, up and down, up and down.

Isaac didn’t talk about his past much with anyone, (apart from that one drunk time at Liam and Cody’s) but Derek must have mentioned to Melissa that he was in the system when he was 16 after his dad got arrested. Derek was the one who first took him here after the system spat him back out.

Once he understood that humans weren’t something he had to fear anymore, he knew he would get involved in the community. He loved the humans here now. He was over the moon when the pack started adopting, but he hadn’t expected to get so broody for one of his own so quickly.

If everyone just got a chance to hold her they’d understand she wasn’t a threat.

How could anyone hate babies? They were so dependent on someone to love and be loved by them, it was adorable.

He was pulled out of his thoughts when he noticed her breathing quicken. He walked over to the crib quickly

“Shh shh, you’re okay y/n,” he said reaching in and brush some hair behind her ear.

He eyes flew open and she squirmed away from his hand, Isaac didn’t move to touch her again but he kept his hand where it was.

“Hey,” he said softly, “wanna go on a walk?”

She nodded looking much calmer, he hesitantly reached in fully to lift her up. He gave her enough time to move again if she wanted to but when she didn’t he smiled and picked her up. She pay her head on his shoulder and he heard her suck on the paci a bit. He patted her behind a couple times and determined she was dry.

“If we leave this room I’ll have to put the strap on.”

She whined, Isaac smiled.

“I know I know,” he sat her down on the changing table, she looked up at him groggily as he put the strap on loosely. Once he picked her back up she wasted no time getting comfy again on his shoulder.

He walked out of her room and down the hall to Alan’s office, he knocked twice and opened the door when he heard a muffled ‘come in’ from the room.

“I have a good little girl here who was wandering if she could go to the garden?”

Alan got up from his desk and walked over.

“Well, if she’s so good I don’t see why not,” he said smiling down at her. Isaac could feel her cheeks heat up as she turned into his neck to hide her face.

Alan chuckled, deep down he was just a teddy bear.

“Seems she’s taken quite a shine to you Isaac,” he turned and walked back to his desk. “Come see me before you go home, I’ve just read Melissa’s email. We have much to discuss.”

“Will do Deaton,” Isaac said walking out.

***

You were still tired as Isaac carried you down the hall, but you moved your head out of his neck and made sure to keep your eyes open. If you were ever going to get out of here it would help to know the layout.

You had to stop yourself whining when Deaton looked at you the way he did, that’s why you hid yourself against Isaac, it was the most dignified thing you could’ve done. It definitely wasn’t because you were starting to like him, no sir, even if it did feel really nice when he was holding you. And the fact that he was like a human radiator was a plus.

It was only when you saw a glimpse of a waiting room did you move you head into his neck again.

The hopes of him passing it relatively quickly we’re shattered when you heard Isaac speak.

“Hey guys what are you doing here?”

“Donovan’s had a stomach bug for a week now, I called Melissa and she said to bring him in.” A deep voice said.

“Oh I’m sorry to hear that buddy.” Isaac replied

“My tummy hurts,” a sniffly voice said. It sounded like a three year old but you highly doubted it was. Curiosity overcame you, you hadn’t seen someone else in your situation up close. You moved your head so you could poke an eye out to look at the pair.

One was a man who looked older than Isaac, he had piercing eyes and a slight beard, but your attention was taken over when you saw the boy next to him.

He had brown hair and brown eyes and was the same age as you, but he was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt with Batman on. There was a diaper bag in between him and the older guy, you could see diapers poking out one of the pockets, but he looked to be treated a little older than you. From his mannerisms you could tell he was a little and didn’t seemed bothered that other people were seeing him like this. He was in deep.

“And who’s this?” The older man said when he noticed you were looking at the pair, you hid your face again.

“Aw she’s shy. This wouldn’t be the girl everyone talking about is it?” He asked in a quieter tone.

“It is. Peter, Donovan, this is y/n. y/n these are some of my pack mates.”

”You wanna come out of your hiding place honey?” The man-Peter-asked.

You shook your head.

”Sorry guys, guess she’s not up to socialising yet,” Isaac said.

“Hale. Donovan Hale.” You heard a nurse call.

“That’s us darling, come on.” Peter said, your heard the sound of shuffling as he got up.

“Hope you feel better soon Donovan.”

“Thank you Uncle Isaac.” Donovan said, still sounding upset.

Isaac started walking again and you only resurfaced again when the chatter of the waiting room was far behind you.

“Donovan’s a handful sometimes but he’s a lot nicer now that he has his Daddy.”

You heard him open a door and were greeted with the sight of the garden, you recognised if from the first day Isaac looked after you. The flowers were all in bloom, it was beautiful.

“I come here when you sleep,” he said as he sat down on one of the benches.

Even for mid February, it was a surprisingly brisk day of the year so you soon found yourself burrowing into your portable radiator again.

“Are you cold Sweetheart? Here you can have my hoodie.”

Isaac pushed you into his knee so he could take off his hoodie, you sucked the paci to stop yourself giving a verbal sign of how much you didn’t like it when he let go of you. Luckily, he quickly wrapped you up and pulled you close again relatively quickly, you curled in on yourself and pulled the hoodie further around you. It was huge.

“That better princess?”

You hummed in agreement.

Isaac began talking to you about the ‘pretty flowers’, you were fully awake now but you were only half listening. You had too much on your mind. You passed members of staff on the way out here and while they plastered smiles on their faces if they noticed you looking at them, you could see past it to what they were really feeling. They were feeling uneasy simply at you being here.

You were running out of time. At a guess they were finding a ‘family’ for you, a new ‘mommy’ or ‘daddy’ to take care of you. And as soon as they found someone it would be a hell of a lot harder to get out of here, not that it was an easy task anyway

You needed a plan, and you needed one now.

***

“I know, I know. I’m sorry, I know you’re tired but you need to drink.” Isaac cooed down at y/n. She sniffled and continue to drink the bottle.

“I’m sorry I kept you awake for so long, it’s my fault pumpkin.”

Isaac stayed out in the garden for a long time, longer than he planned, long enough that he saw the sun starting to set. It was only when she stated yawning did he realise how long y/n had been awake. He grabbed a bottle on the way back in and she had fallen asleep twice now while he fed her.

She only managed to drink three quarters of the bottle before she fell asleep again. Deciding it would have to do Isaac sighed and placed her in the crib, when he went to do the straps Deaton walked in.

”Don’t bother. We’re engineering an escape.” He said, he had a sad tone in his voice.

”Oh. How come?” Isaac asked confused. “I thought we didn’t have to do that with her.”

”We have some people very eager to adopt her within the community.”

“What!?” Isaac yelled, luckily the drugs in her system were in full effect so she didn’t wake up. “What?” Isaac asked again a lot quieter.

Deaton sighed. “They wish to remain anonymous, but yes someone’s requested to adopt her in this community, they’ve requested us to engineer an escape.”

Isaac’s heart stopped.

“Look, I know you were really hoping to adopt her but there’s nothing we can do now. The candidate is already in the process of adopting her, they’ve signed all the papers and they’ve payed the agency to rush it through.”

Isaac leaned against the crib and looked down at her, he only just managed to hold back the tears that threatened to fall.

”I’m really sorry Isaac.” Deaton said before he walked out.

***

Isaac didn’t remember leaving the hospital. He didn’t remember walking home. He didn’t remember putting his key in the door, but suddenly he was in his studio with a scotch in hand.

He still had the books and forms in his bag, he pulled them out and put them on his desk with blurry eyes. They weren’t much use to him now. He caught a glimpse of a portrait on his easel.

It was of y/n. Isaac drew her as if she was in the park, dressed in a princess dress very similar to one that Allison had a phase of not taking off. She was sat in front of one of the oak trees with a tiara on and a big smile on her face.

He didn’t remember tossing the easel on the floor either, but the crash caused Loui to jump from his comfy spot on the windowsill. He ran to Isaac’s legs for protection.

“What am I gonna do, Loui?” He asked before sitting at his desk. It wasn’t long before he was crying into his drink.

Chapter Text

Everything was weird. Really weird. You woke up naturally, which was a rare thing anyway. Not to mention you weren’t strapped down again. You could barely believe that Isaac let you off once, but twice was too good to be true. Not only that but it might get him in trouble. And as bad as your situation was, he was the only saving grace and you would be really sad if you couldn’t see him anymore.

You waited for somebody to come get you. By some miracle your diaper was dry so luckily you weren’t uncomfortable. It occurred to you that you still had the pacifier in and you started to push it out with your tongue, but as it was about to fall from you lips you paused.

If Isaac was going to get in trouble for not strapping you down, it might help his case for you to be docile, for you to play the happy baby role. You sucked it back into your mouth, ready to smile and coo at whoever came to feed you, whenever they decided to show up.

You waited, and waited, and waited. How come no one was coming? You hated to admit it, but the fact that right now you were off routine was starting to make you itchy.

You stretched out your legs, they didn’t feel as weak as they had been since you arrived here. You experimentally got to your knees. They were holding you up fine, they felt relatively sturdy. Study enough to try standing up.

You took a deep breath and held into the bars in front of you. You shakily put one foot under you, then the other. Slowly, you pulled yourself up. Your legs held. You let out a shakey half laugh of relief from around the pacifier. You had no idea if you could walk but you had enough strength to at least get out of the crib.

You slowly put your legs over the bars and jumped down. Still holding onto the bars you took one tentative step forward, your legs felt weak walking, but they were strong enough. You walked over to the door and held your breath as you pushed down on the handle.

It clicked open.

If you weren’t trying to sneak out you would’ve cried with happiness.

It was happening, you were escaping.

You pushed open the door and sneaked out of your room.

”Isaac? It’s Derek, can I come in?” Derek said standing at Isaac’s front door (newly fixed thanks to Liam).

He heard no answer from the inside but since Isaac sent Derek a text full of misspellings and weird auto correct that Derek interpreted as ‘I won’t make it to the pack meeting tomorrow’, he thought it best to check on him.

So he dropped Stiles off at Scott’s and here he was.

”Isaac I’m coming in.” Derek said, forcing the door handle open, breaking the lock.

Isaac’s house was a mess. There was drawings of y/n scattered here and there, mixed in with the entirety of his studio scattered around his bottom floor. From what Derek could see from the hallway, the slightly ajar doors to both the kitchen and living room he could see his art equipment everywhere.

”Isaac?” Derek called out.

He heard a grunt from the closed door that led to Isaac’s studio.

Derek pushed open the door and his mouth fell open.

The room stunk of alcohol. Not too many years ago a werewolf discovered how to make a strong alcohol that could actually get werewolves drunk. It was basically anti bacterial gel and tasted like it too, but the young werewolves had taken advantage as soon is it became available. So had Isaac apparently.

Derek could see why he moved all his equipment out of the studio. The room was empty apart from some chalk that surround Isaac, who was passed out on the floor. It was only then did Derek noticed the huge portrait of y/n sketched out on the floor.

”Isaac,” Derek kicked him, he stirred a bit. “Isaac wake up.”

Isaac woke up in shock then immediately groaned.

”I thought we couldn’t get hungover,” he said letting his head hit the floor again as he covered his eyes with his arm.

”Yeah well up until three years ago we couldn’t get drunk. What the hell happened to you?”

The smell shifted in the room as Isaac’s emotion changed. What was once a creative, but very alcohol fuelled, haze had disappeared in a second.

“Isaac hey, what’s wrong?” Derek asked crouching down.

Isaac sat up slowly, keeping his eyes to the floor.

”You know the girl everyone’s talking about?”

”Yeah.”

”I love her…but I can’t adopt her.”

Derek took a deep breath, half from shock.

”How come?” Was all he could think to ask.

”She’s already been adopted.”

***

After Derek dragged Isaac off the floor, he put some water on the stove to boil. He pulled two chairs and one of Isaac’s tables back into his studio and sat Isaac down.

”Do you want me to pull the curtains to?” Derek asked.

Isaac nodded. Derek half laughed and blocked out some of the light.

When the water boiled Derek made two cups of coffee. He sat down at the the table with Isaac and handed him a cup as he rubbed his head.

“When did you find out?” Derek asked.

”Friday.”

”Jesus Christ Isaac, you’ve drank a day away.”

Isaac shrugged. Derek sighed.

”Whose adopting her?”

”I don’t know, Deaton didn’t tell me, I doubt he would if I asked. But whoever it is, it doesn’t matter, they’re not me.”

”Isaac…I can’t even imagine how you feel, but-“

Isaac cut him off.

“You’re right, you don’t. No one here does.”

Isaac looked away, feeling slightly guilty at his small outburst. Derek let him be angry.

”You have no idea.” Isaac looked broken. “Imagine if when you first bonded with Stiles someone just took him away from you, how would you feel? What kind of state would you be in?”

”Probably the same one as you.” Derek said quietly.

”I don’t even know if she’s staying in this community.” Isaac said putting his head in his hands.

Derek didn’t reply, he just kept looking at Isaac.

”I don’t know which is worse,” Isaac said looking up again, “seeing her every day, looking up lovingly at someone else, or never seeing her again.”

Again, Derek didn’t say anything.

“You know, on Friday Melissa helped me start to build a case for adoption…and, even though it was a long shot…I really thought I had a chance.”

They both sat in silence for a bit, eventually Isaac took a sip of his coffee.

”What should I do Derek?”

”I wished I could tell you.”

It went silent again for a while.

”I need some air, I need to think.” Isaac said getting up.

”Where you going?” Derek asked slightly worried.

”I don’t know, but I need a walk.”

“Isaac wait!” Derek said catching him as Isaac put his hand on the door handle.

”You can’t.”

”Why not?” Isaac asked, Derek looked away, Isaac knew that look.

”What aren’t you telling me Derek?” Isaac asked lifting his hand off the handle, turning to Derek fully.

”I had more than one reason for coming to see you today.”

”And what’s that?”

Derek took a breath.

”I needed to make sure you were home, and staying home.” “Isaac looked confused, Derek continued. “The hospital sent a text to everyone this morning. They’re issuing the escape for y/n. Now.”

Isaac’s eyes widened, he went to open the door again and Derek pulled his arm away.

”Let me go!”

”You know I can’t Isaac.” Derek replied calmly.

”Isaac if you interfere with this you could be kicked out of the community.”

”I don’t care!” Isaac said shaking Derek off and pulling the door open.

”Isaac!” Derek yelled, eyes flashing. Isaac stopped instantly. Derek was hoping he wouldn’t have to pull the alpha card but he didn’t have another choice at this point.

”You can’t,” Derek said quietly.

”I know.” Isaac replied at the same volume, shutting the door.

Isaac leaned against it and slid down to the floor.

***

”Alan?” You called out tentatively, you had taken out the pacifier once you saw no one was around your room.

”Melissa?”

The hospital looked…empty. It was silent as well. You didn’t dare look into any wards incase you got caught. You only called out to see if anyone would actually come.

But no one did.

You crept your way to the staircase, hanging around at the top incase you heard anyone.

But you didn’t.

You looked through one of the windows in the stairwell and saw that, from the sky, it was either sundown or sunrise. You guessed sunrise from the lack of voices and cars in the street below.

It was like the whole place was deserted.

It was unnerving seeing a hospital so quiet. Even in the earliest hours of the morning, any normal hospital would be crawling with staff. But you saw no one, you heard no one. And you were surprised that any staff that might be in offices or maybe in the canteen couldn’t hear you with their (what you assumed would be) super senses.

You slowly opened the door at the bottom of the stairs. Again, you saw the place was empty, you couldn’t even hear chatter from the waiting room. You crept out but stayed vigilant, looking behind you repeatedly, half expecting you would have to make a run for it.

You peaked you head round the final corner, you confirmed that there was no one around the entrance, no one in the waiting area, no one at the front desk.

Your heart pounded in your chest, with one look back you took your chance and ran out of the door.

***

Derek managed to convince Isaac to shower without the remaining bottle of alcohol. When he came back downstairs with wet hair he still looked like someone had ripped his heart out, but Derek didn’t expect him to look much different.

Him and Derek had moved everything back into the studio once Isaac peeled himself up from the floor. Derek had made another cup of coffee and was sat in the living room. Isaac sat opposite him.

”So who has adopted her?”

”Isaac-“

”Derek,” Isaac cut him off gently, “I just want to know if she’s staying here.”

Derek gave him a look.

”You owe me that much.”

When Derek told him Isaac’s face fell.

***

You ran into the woods as soon as you saw it. You had no idea which way home was but it was your best shot.

You doubled over catching your breath when you lost slight of the street behind all the trees. You breathed heavily, you had no idea how long you had before somebody came looking for you.

You went stiff when you head a twig snap behind you.

You looked around quickly and you saw a woman about six feet away. She was tall, her tanned skin and dark hair made her eyes stand out. Eyes that were turning red.

”Intruder.”

You were frozen in fear. She lent down a bit, getting into a position you could only describe as predatory. Her teeth elongated as she snarled, her nails sharpening to a point.

”Human!”

You heard a wheezing scream, it didn’t occur to youth that it was yours. As the woman leapt forward your legs started running. You didn’t dare look behind you, you didn’t have to see to know the werewolf was close behind you.

Just keep running

It was all you could think. At some point the only thing you could hear was your breath in your ears, you kept your eyes on the floor. If you tripped you’d be dead.

Then you smacked into someone’s chest.

You fell backwards into your padded ass. It was only then when you realised that you were still in the ridiculous outfit the hospital had put you in. But you didn’t have long to ponder on it as you remembered the fact you were being chased.

You looked around and scrambled back, you ended up hitting the legs of the man you had just run into. You looked up at him as he peered down at you

”You shouldn’t be here human.” He said smoothly.

“I know, I’m so sorry.” You said getting up. “I-It was an accident, p-please don’t hurt me.”

”Why would I hurt you my dear?”

”I-I’m on your land.”

”Yes you are,” he said stepping forward, he brushed some of your hair from your shoulder, “but I don’t do anything half arsed. And you’re not worth the effort.”

His words made you shiver, you stepped back again. Only now did you recognise him, he came to see you in the hospital, the man who was wearing sunglasses. You saw the bald man that had accompanied him then now standing behind him.

You heard the rustling of foliage and spun around. The woman who was chasing you had finally caught up. You didn’t have time to run again before the man spoke.

”Kali,” he said calmly, the woman’s face turned back to normal in an instant. “Take her to her room.”

She walked towards you, a wicked smile staring to show on her face.

”No,” you said quietly back off from all three of them. The man suddenly grabbed your arm, you could feel his claws daring to break the skin. He chuckled.

”Oh no my dear,” he said pulling you closer again, “you’re mine.”

Notes:

I do love a good cliff hanger lol, I will warn in advance this next chapter will probably be a bit dark but I promise it gets very fluffy after that.

Chapter 9: Chapter Nine

Notes:

Like I said at the end of the last chapter, this one is going to be a bit dark so feel free to skip if you’re not comfortable with that. It’s not too bad, I don’t think they’re any triggers but let me know if you think otherwise. Enjoy xx

Chapter Text

You immediately started screaming as the man started to drag you.

“Oh hush now.” He said putting his hands under your armpits and lifting you off the ground.

“No! Let me go! Let me go!” You shouted at the top of your lungs. Somebody would hear, somebody had to…

“Scream all you like. No one can hear you but us. And even if they could why would they come and rescue you?”

The bald man and the woman came to take your arms and your legs. It was harder to struggle when they held you like that but you still tried.

“You should really stop struggling, you could hurt yourself.” The bald man said, you ignored him and continued to move. The woman, Kali, gripped your leg tighter and twisted it until you cried out in pain.

“Aw, did the pathetic little human hurt herself?” She said condescendingly, you glared down at her but couldn’t stop the tears that soon appeared in your eyes. All you wanted to do was openly sob but you wouldn’t give them the satisfaction.

”Take her to her room,” the man in glasses said. You started to shake with fear as the other two werewolves carried you further into the woods. You managed to twist your head enough to see them carrying you to a very small building in the middle of a clearing.

You debated fighting them again but realised next time it would probably end up with a broken leg. You settled for just watching where they were going to put you.

The man with the glasses opened the door for the other two, they carried you in. The very small building was actually a staircase that led to a house further into the ground.

Actually, den was probably a more accurate word, considering they were monsters.

The den looked rather clean though. The stairs led down into a living room. It looked quite modern, a large, curved, white couch in the centre facing a fire place. There was a real sheep skin rug on the wooden floor. There were two black coffee tables on either side of the ends of the couch, both topped with modern black lamps.

Kali and the bald man carried you through the living room to a hallway that ended in what actually looked like a den for wolves. The wooden floor had tapered off, as well as the white plaster that had been on the walls. What was left was a dugout. No lights on the dirt walls, the only thing covering the dirt floor was a filthy sheet in the corner. Apart from that and some chains in the middle of the floor, the room was empty.

The two werewolves threw you down on the sheet with a painful thud.

You pushed yourself against the wall in an effort to get as far away from them as you could. Which was a bit pointless considering the man in glasses, who had been behind you the whole time, grabbed the chains and crouched right in front of you. You held your limbs as close to your body as you could, which again was pointless, as the man grabbed you hand with ease.

”You know, this would be so much easier for all of us if you didn’t struggle so much.” The man said as he put a shackle on one of your wrists. As he went to grab your other wrist you pulled back with all your might. Surprisingly you wrist slipped from his grasp, but in doing so your ended up hitting the mans face. You gasped.

”I’m sorry, I’m so so-“

He slapped you. Your cheek immediately started singing and you bit your lip to stop yourself crying out. You tears that had deserted you for a minute were back in full force.

”Let’s just kill her now, Deucalion.” The bald man said.

”Patience Ennis, she’s still learning.” The man, Deucalion, said calmly. He used the pad of his thumb to brush away a tear that fell down your cheek before roughly grabbing your leg and shackling the ankle. He repeated it with your other leg.

”What are you going to do with me?” You asked quietly.

”tsk tsk tsk,” Deucalion tutted. Suddenly, he wrapped his hand around your throat and pushed you against the wall.

”Since you’re too stupid to understand I’ll spell it out for you. You don’t speak unless spoken to.”

You pulled at his hands but it did nothing to stop him choking you. You gasped for air, opening and closing your mouth repeatedly.

”Stop fighting it and I will let you go.” Deucalion said.

Your lips started to tingle so you did as he said. You stopped grasping at him and let your shackled arms fall down.

Deucalion loosened his grip just enough that you managed to get one gasp of air before he increased the pressure slightly.

”Starting to get it?”

You looked at him for a second before you nodded tentatively.

”See, it’s not hard to do as you’re told now is it.” Deucalion said, he then removed his hand from your neck. You inhaled as quick as you could as you choked on the air.

Deucalion finally stood up, he then took off his sunglasses and only when you saw his eyes you realised he must be blind. In the very dim light of your room you could see that his eyes didn’t look normal. The whites of his eyes weren’t white at all, they were really red. It was almost as if he knew you were looking into his eyes, because he was looking into yours.

He stayed like that for a second before then turning and walking out of the room. Kali followed him.

Ennis stayed behind, looking at you in disgust. It was only then did you notice that your diaper was suddenly warm and wet.

”Oh Jesus Christ,” Ennis scoffed. He turned to walked down the hall, before reappearing with a pack of bathroom cleaning wipes.

”Clean yourself. You won’t get another diaper so stop pissing yourself.” He said with venom in his voice, he then walked off again and didn’t come back.

You let yourself sniffle.

If you had realised this was the alternative to be being babied in the hospital you never would have left. You felt like glass you were so fragile and right now all you wanted was Isaac to come scoop you up and feed you a bottle.

Tears ran down your face as you slowly untapped your diaper. You didn’t need a rash on top of everything else. The wipes burned on your smooth, hairless skin which only made you cry more. You weren’t sure in whether or not to put the diaper back on, if you did you would definitely get a rash but if you didn’t you might wet yourself on the sheet which you assumed was your bed.

You decided to leave the diaper off for now, maybe put it back on later. You curled into a ball on top of your sheet and it wasn’t long before you cried yourself to sleep.

***

You woke up when someone kicked you, hard. Your chains jangled as you jolted up right and we’re greeted with the site of Deucalion.

You didn’t say a word as he sat on a chair he had put in your room. Even though his glasses meant you couldn’t see his eyes, you knew they never left your face.

He was obviously waiting for you to say something but his last lesson was engrained in your mind. Your throat tightened from the memory.

”You’re learning. That’s good. You may just survive the night.”

You remained silent.

“I can’t stand your kind,” he was slightly gritting his teeth, “the only reason I’ve stayed in a community like this one is because I knew one day I would take one in.”

”But while the rest of my idiotic species has become infatuated with babies and pets, I have been looking for one in a different role.”

You could practically hear your heart pounding in your chest, you knew he could too at the smile on his face. It wasn’t a nice smile, it made you want to curl up in a ball again, but you didn’t dare move.

”You are going to live here. And in return you are going to do everything me and my pack ask. Whether that be cleaning our floor with your tongue, letting Kali cut your hair to make a bracelet or simply running in the woods so we can practise hunting and hurting humans.”

The only reason you weren’t crying was because you were still frozen in fear.

”You will refer to me as Master, Ennis as Sir and Kali as Mistress.”

He learned forward in his chair.

”Do I make myself clear?”

You gulped.

”Yes Master.”

He gave you that smile again.

”Good. Now come with me.”

He grabbed your chains and pulled on them harshly, you stood up hastily and stumbled as he continued to pull you out of your hole.

He pulled you through the living room again but opened one of the doors in it this time though. It opened to a long, sleek kitchen that matched the interior decoration of the living room.

”You’re going to make us dinner.”

He threw your chains into the kitchen with such force it almost pulled you to the floor.

”I’ll be hungry in an hour. Make it for then, and I don’t think I’ll have to warn you of the consequences if it’s not.”

***

Derek walked into the clearing of the forest. He saw Deucalion standing there. Emotionless as always.

”What’s this about Derek,” Deucalion said when he was about seven feet away, “I’ve got a new human at home and you know what it’s like leaving them in the early days. Not quite bonded enough.”

Derek sighed. He still wanted to kill Deuc after what he did to Stiles, he had barely seen him since, not sure what he would do if he had an opportunity alone with him. He clenched his fists from within his jacket pocket and jerked his neck.

”I’m here about that actually.” Derek had sent word to Deucalion that he wanted to meet him on neutral territory to discuss an important matter. Alpha to alpha.

”You know, out of everyone Derek, I would’ve thought you’d be thrilled at me taking in a human.”

”I don’t like the idea of you hurting an innocent.”

”None of them are innocent Derek, none of them,” this was the first time he had shown emotion, it was pure unbridled rage. “Being human is crime enough.”

Derek sighed again.

”What’s really bugging you Derek, the fact that I have a human, or the fact that I have a human that one of your betas wanted.”

“The fact that you have a human that I know you’re going to torture.”

”There are quite a few other werewolves who have slaves here. What makes me any different from them.”

”Everyone here who has a human is taking part in an exercise of power and mercy. God knows you‘re not going to show that poor little girl mercy.”

”What I do with my human is none of your business Derek. She’s mine now.” Deucalion said before walking off.

***

“How did it go?” Cody asked, Liam looked at him in apprehension.

They heard a deep breath from the phone.

”It’s not looking good.”

Cody closed his eyes and rubbed his temple with his free hand.

”Deucalion seems pretty set on keeping her, I don’t think there’s anything I can do.”

”Can’t we just…I don’t know, steal her?”

Cody shook her head. Liam was still quite new, he didn’t know all the rules of the community.

”If we do that, especially after the conversation I’ve just had with him, it’s considered an act of aggression against him as an alpha. And since I’m an alpha it would be a a full on war against our packs. And I don’t know about you but, while there’s no doubt in my mind we could beat them, I don’t really want that stress on the pack.”

“Well then what do we tell Isaac?” Liam asked quietly.

”I don’t know. He’s quite…delicate right now.” Derek said, the boys could hear his grimace through the phone.

”Well we can’t just keep him out of the loop forever, and he should know sooner rather than later. For his own sake.”

”I know,” Derek said tersely. “I just don’t know what to do. I’ve never seen him like this.”

”Neither have we. We went over earlier today and he just won’t stop drawing her,” Cody replied.

“I’m more worried about what’s gonna happen when he stops drawing,” Liam chimed in.

”Maybe we should just get him another cat?” Cody half joked, Liam shot him a look.

”Isaac will be okay. Eventually at least,” Derek said.

”But what about until then?” Liam asked quietly.

”Until then we do what a pack does best,” Derek replied, “be there for him.”

Chapter 10: Chapter Ten

Notes:

Let me know if I should have anymore characters break and then fix Isaac’s door, apparently (subconsciously) I really like adding that to this story?😭😂

Again thanks for the lovely comments💖💖

Chapter Text

You awoke to being pulled roughly by the chains, Ennis was scowling as he undid the shackles before throwing a white night gown at you. Despite it being a piece of clothing, he threw it with such velocity that it actually hurt.

”Get dressed. We’re going hunting today.” He said before walking away.

You sat up and inwardly cringed at the feeling of the very full diaper beneath you. You skin stung and you could tell you already had a rash but it was better than wet sheets.

You untapped it and reached for the cleaning wipes, you hissed in pain as they made contact with you skin. It was so red and inflamed and there were some blotches of dry skin littering your lower half.

You finished cleaning yourself with wet eyes and slowly peeled your onesie off. Half of last nights meal covered it.

You spent the majority of the hour grinding up beef, your wrist aches from the memory of it. You would’ve thrown up had you any food in your stomach, being a vegetarian and grinding up beef wasn’t a common activity to say the least.

You put on the white nightgown and shakily stood up. You didn’t need a mirror to know that you would have dark circles under your eyes. Kali had spent the majority off the night whispering hurtful things in your ear and shaking you violently if you fell asleep.

Hunting. That’s what Ennis had said they would be doing. You swallowed thickly.

Deucalion walked into the dug out, a smirk tugging at his lips. You quickly looked at the floor.

”Good, you’re ready. Follow me.”

He promptly turned and walked through the den. He led you up the stairs and opened the door, and were surprised when he let you out.

”What are you waiting for, run.”

You looked up at him.

”You only have a ten minute head start. Go on, try and escape little human.” Deucalion said before walking back through the door and shutting it. You stood there alone.

You actually and to remind yourself to run. Your legs still felt shakey beneath you but you mustered up all the strength to run as fast as you could.

You had no idea which direction to head, you just went the way you were facing. It wouldn’t matter anyway, they would just catch you in a matter of minutes. The thoughts of what torture they would put you under distracted from your burning lungs.

***

Isaac tightened his grip on the charcoal, he tightened it so much the piece snapped in his hand. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to maintain his composure. He leaned back and rubbed his eyes with the lower part of his palm.

Isaac grabbed what remained of his whiskey and drank it. It was barely a shot. He groaned.

Derek had come over on Saturday and helped him tidy up his studio. Isaac had mopped up the chalk drawing on his floor and sorted all of his drawings. His favourite drawing of y/n was now pinned to his wall along with other drawings of Loui and the pack. The rest of the drawings of her now resides in his cabinet with more miscellaneous sketches.

Isaac wiped his hands on his spare rag he kept for his dirty hands after drawing with charcoal. His hand ached.

He hadn’t stopped drawing since he got home from the hospital, Derek had managed to occupy him for about an hour when he came over, and Liam and Theo had talked him into eating the pizza they had brought with them when they had come over a couple hours after Derek had left. Isaac had missed the pack meeting this morning, he couldn’t face everyone right now, and the sight of Donovan, Stiles and especially Ally would probably make him start crying again.

Loui reminded Isaac to feed twice a day by meowing until he left his studio. Said cat was currently residing on the cushioned bench against the far wall, basking in the sunlight streaming through the slanted ceiling that was made of windows. Isaac stood up and walked over to him. He scratched at his chin and Loui chirped and rolled over so his belly was exposed.

”I’m going out to get more whiskey,” Isaac said. Loui stretched in response.

Isaac turned and left his studio, he grabbed his keys and his jacket. He opened his front door and started walking to town.

***

The cold pricked at your skin like little needles, you could see your breath as you ran. It had definitely been much more than ten minutes by now, and even then you seriously doubted they actually gave you that long. How they hadn’t caught up to you yet you didn’t know.

You doubled over for a very quick break, your lungs felt like they were on fire. Over your breath however, you focused in on a noise.

It was running water.

You remembered back to a book you read as a kid, it said dogs can’t track over water. Whether it was the same for werewolves you had to give it a shot.

You continued running and the sound grew, soon you saw the river. It wasn’t moving that quickly, the water was dark and it was about eight feet wide.

You stopped when you came to the bank and slowly got in. The water felt beyond freezing, you could feel the mud squelch beneath your bare feet, the water came to your mid thigh, wetting the bottom of your night gown. You trudged to the other side as fast as you could, shivering.

When you got to the other side you pulled yourself out. Again, you remembered something that might possibly help.

You flashed back to sitting in front of the TV, you were switching channels and briefly landed on a show about werewolves and vampires. A girl who was trying to run away from some werewolves and had ran around a bunch of trees when she entered a forest. It managed to spread her scent enough to make it impossible to track.

Again, you had no idea if it would actually work but it was worth a try. You ran around every tree you saw with a thinner trunk, running your hands along the bark. You stopped when you did it to about fifteen of them.

You then returned to running, your legs like jelly. Every once in a while you could’ve sworn you heard a twig snap, or a growl come from behind a rock, you were staring to give yourself a crick in the neck from whipping it around so much. But you didn’t stop running until you couldn’t hear the river anymore.

You doubled over again, you almost collapsed from exhaustion. The lack of sleep and food couldn’t be substituted with adrenaline anymore. You looked up and saw a particularly large tree with big roots.

You walked over to it. You didn’t dare let yourself think that your methods to stop them tracking you might actually work. They were going to catch you eventually, so what was the point in prolonging the inevitable?

You sat down and leaned your head against the trunk. You would just close your eyes for a few minutes. Just for a few minutes.

***

Isaac had grabbed his whiskey and was now walking back home. In the effort of minimal self care, (before he went back to drink and hunch over whatever drawing he wouldn’t leave alone for the next three hours), he decided to take the long way home through the woods.

Being alone with his thoughts made Isaac want to open the bottle right then and there. He couldn’t be thinking right now, he couldn’t be feeling. That’s why he hadn’t stopped drawing, it kept his mind off what was going on right now.

Isaac unzipped his jacket and reached for his inner pocket where the whiskey resided, he unscrewed the cap and brought it to his lips. But right before the liquid touched his tongue something made him stop.

He was lost in his own head he hadn’t noticed his surroundings. There was a scent. He knew that scent, but…it couldn’t be.

Isaac lowered the bottle and shook his head. He put the top back on and put it back in his jacket.

”Maybe I should stop drinking.” He said quietly to himself. He kept on walking.

Isaac stopped again when he heard something. Something very quiet. Something that, despite his werewolf senses, he wouldn’t have noticed over the sound of the river if he hadn’t taken a moment after he caught the scent.

A heart beat.

It was coming from the right of him, not too far from the nematon and the river that cut through the forest, separating the territories from neutral to Deucalion’s.

It wouldn’t be.

It couldn’t be.

Isaac walked briskly towards the sound. It got louder and louder as he got closer. He was about half a mile away from the river when his heart almost stopped.

There she was.

y/n was sat against a tree trunk, she was sleeping. Isaac had to rub his eyes to make sure it wasn’t some post-drunk hallucination.

But there she was.

Innocent as ever.

Sleeping against an oak tree.

Isaac tried to catch another scent, almost desperate to smell another werewolf. Hoping Deucalion would appear from behind a tree and tell him to leave.

That way he might do so empty handed.

Isaac didn’t think his heart had ever beaten so hard as he crept towards her, as quietly as he could.

’I’m on neutral territory,’ Isaac thought, ‘for all I know this is a lost human. It could be very dangerous for her to be out here alone without a werewolf.’

After babysitting the cubs of the pack, Isaac had mastered the art of picking up a baby without waking them up. He gently lifted her into his arms without her even stirring.

***

You were pretty sure you were dreaming.

You felt all warm, like you could stay where you were forever.

You were being carried, you could hear the tell tale footsteps on the forest floor of someone walking. But they were holding you tightly enough that you didn’t even feel like you were moving that much.

You groggily opened your eyes just a crack, you looked at who was holding you and smiled sleepily up at Isaac.

His brow was furrowed, like he was thinking very hard. But as soon as he saw you looking he smiled softly.

”Go back to sleep princess.” He said quietly.

You put your cold nose into his neck and closed your eyes, basking in the lovely dream before Deucalion caught you.

***

Isaac managed to get y/n back to his house with minimal disruption. She woke up once but went back down almost immediately after.

The majority of Isaac’s surrounding neighbours were the Smith pack, and like the Hale pack they held their pack meeting on a Sunday. So Isaac managed to get her in his house without anyone seeing.

He quietly opened his door (lock newly fixed thanks to Derek) and closed it behind him gently.

Isaac wasn’t quite sure what to do next. For the past week all he could think about was having this baby in his house, but now she was here he didn’t know what to do.

Isaac decided it was best to let her sleep, the dark circles under her eyes was a tell tale sign that she hadn’t slept last night. He tightened his grip around her just slightly as he seethed in anger.

How could Deucalion harm a precious little baby? y/n was more well behaved than any brand new baby Isaac had ever seen, and yet she had bruises on her neck that weren’t there on Friday.

Isaac was brought out of his thoughts by a growing wetness on his side. He looked down and saw a wet patch, he now only noticed that she wasn’t wearing a diaper.

He inwardly scolded himself for not noticing earlier. He carried her upstairs to his spare room.

Since babysitting more and more, Isaac had been given various items from his pack mates who had babies. He had a: travel crib, a ready stocked diaper bag and travel mat, a couple of baby books, basic formula, the odd toy and stuffed animal, a play mat, a few spare onesies and a lot of arts and crafts supplies down in his studio.

Isaac picked up the diaper bag out of the closet in the wall, he spread out the travel mat one handed and lay her down gently.

Her breathing picked up a bit, but other than that she didn’t seem to notice. He lifted up her night gown and let out a silent gasp.

Her entire lower half was covered in red, dry skin. Isaac felt sympathy pain just looking at it.

He grappled the tube of diaper cream and rubbed it tenderly on her sore areas, she whimpered a bit but still stayed asleep.

’She must be exhausted,’ Isaac thought.

He finished the diaper changed and lifted her up again before leaning down and setting her in the mesh crib. Isaac kissed her forehead gently.

”Have a nice nap my darling, I’ll be back in a minute to watch over you so I can be right here when you wake up.” He said quietly.

Isaac shut the curtains and walked out of the room, beaming as he closed the door. He finally had y/n I’m his house, and he intended to keep it that way.

Notes:

Yay, finally with Isaac🥳

Chapter 11: Chapter Eleven

Chapter Text

You woke up with your eyes closed. Part of you was confused. You weren’t cold, you were laying down on something very comfortable. You decided not to question it, surely Deucalion was about to come and wake you up in some painful way. You could bask in the comfort while you dozed.

But time passed and nothing happened, no one came to wake you up. You rolled over and you felt something soft beneath your ass, you wiggled and you felt a clean diaper beneath you. You finally opened your eyes and was very confused by the sight that greeted you.

You were in room. Like an actual room, one that you didn’t recognise from the den. It was pretty bare. It had white walls, there was a built in closet with slats in one of them and the carpet was cream. There were some blocks and a couple stuffed animals in a corner and in the opposite corner there was a wooden rocking chair. You were sat in a crib that was mesh and not too far away was what looked to be a travel changing mat next to a diaper bag. You looked down and you were wearing a onesie covered in bears.

You heard the sound of someone coming upstairs, it made you wish you had a pacifier. You internally scolded yourself for want something so childish. For actively participating in their psychotic game.

Part of you was worried about where you were and who was coming, but the other didn’t think anything could be worse than Ennis, Deucalion and Kali.

Only when the door opened did you remember your dream.

But apparently it wasn’t a dream because Isaac was walking towards you.

You breathed out a big sigh of relief and wrapped your limbs around his as tight as you could when he pulled you up against him.

”I just went downstairs to make you a bottle and look at you, already awake.” He said with a big smile on his face.

You just basked in his presence. The way he smelled, the way he held you tightly, his hands running through your hair.

“I’m so sorry you had to stay with those horrible people, sweetheart.” Isaac said with a sad voice. You nodded into his chest.

He walked over to the rocking chair, still cradling you. He sat down and you rearranged your legs until you were comfortable, tucking your head under his chin.

”I just couldn’t bare the thought of such a precious little girl being stuck in such a horrible place with people who couldn’t see just how perfect she is.”

You removed you head from Isaac’s neck and looked up at him. His eyes were warm, he smiled down at you, eyes crinkling.

”So you’re going to stay here with me now and I’m going to be your Daddy.”

The slight smile on your face faded at the last thing he said. Isaac was the best thing that had happened to you since you got here. But only now did you remember that you were kidnapped. Isaac just happened to be the best of a bad bunch. But at the end of the day, you were stolen by crazed monsters. Literal monsters, werewolves who take people and treat them like children.

They were all sick.

Thinking about it made your chest feel tight, you couldn’t face these feelings. You shook your head and buried it in Isaac’s chest.

”I know it’s all confusing princess,” he said in that voice that just made you feel so comfortable, “but I promise one day you’ll love it.”

The thought that one day you might actually like, let alone love, being treated like a baby made you feel ill.

You thought back to Donovan. He was perfectly comfortable looking, acting even sounding like a child. He was happily walking around in public with a man that carried his diaper bag and treated him like a son.

To anyone that knew you, it was no secret that you didn’t like your parents. They were fine growing up but there was always a comment to be made, nothing you ever did was good enough. So you up and moved the first chance you could, you ran to the opposite side of the country and hadn’t spoken to them in years, let alone seen them.

But there was a man now, choosing to be a parent to you. If he wasn’t crazy it would almost be sweet.

Isaac was rubbing your back, and you couldn’t deny it felt really nice, especially after your last couple days.

As bad as it was being kidnapped, it was either stay with Isaac and play the part of happy baby, slowly plotting an escape. Or, escape unprepared and get captured by your old owners.

You knew the minute you stepped foot out of Isaac’s house you would be dragged back to that den. So for now, you would stay here and put on a show.

”Are you hungry gorgeous? Do you want your bottle?” Isaac asked.

You moved out of his chest again and plastered a smile on your face, you nodded.

”Do you want to come with me?”

You nodded again. He smiled back and stood up, you hooked your legs onto his hips as he put a hand under you.

”Paci,” you said quietly. You felt a blush creep onto your face, annoyed and embarrassed that you had to act mindless. Isaac beamed down at you though.

”Okay, princess.” He then walked over to the bag on the floor, he crouched down and reached into a side pocket. He pulled out a blue pacifier.

He then put it in his mouth and pulled it right back out.

Part of you was kicking yourself for not seeing it coming. After being covered in your own piss multiple times by now, it was hardly the grossest thing that had happened since being kidnapped.

Still, you had to hold back a grimace as he put it between your lips and clipped it to your onesie. Your stomach growled.

”Let’s go get your bottle, you must be starving.”

Isaac carried you through his house. It wasn’t the biggest but it was nice and cute. As you went down the stairs you briefly saw a living room before he went into the kitchen.

He threw a cloth over his shoulder before grabbing the bottle that was on the side.

”Open wide sweetheart.” Isaac cooed.

You opened your mouth and let the paci fall, he then put the bottle in your mouth. You almost groaned at the taste. It was hardly your first choice for a meal but it tasted so much better than the hospital bottles. They were heavy and grainy, this one tasted like vanilla.

Isaac looked down at you all mooney eyed as you fed, and couldn’t deny it felt nice in a way.

Sooner than you liked the bottle was pulled away, you groaned and Isaac chuckled.

”Oh I know, you’re so hungry. Later if you’re up for it you can have some banana, okay?” He said moving you onto his shoulder. He burped you, it still made you blush but the fact that Isaac didn’t care made you feel a tiny bit less embarrassed.

You found yourself yawning again. Despite waking up feeling rested, having a full stomach and being cuddled made you tired again.

”How about I put on a movie?” Isaac asked, brushing hair out of your face.

You nodded and yawned again, he smiled and removed the cloth from his shoulder before moving to the living room.

The curtains were already drawn as he sat down on the sofa. You quickly made yourself comfortable by curling into him. He seemed to be content in letting you doze, he turned on the TV and soon you heard the tell tale opening song of Beauty and the Beast.

Isaac ran his hand up and down your back, every so often he would run his fingers over your scalp. He used just enough nail to send good shivers down your spine.

Just before you fell asleep you felt a soft kiss pressed to your hairline. You smiled as you slipped into unconsciousness.

***

Isaac hated to put y/n back in her crib, but he had to get his supper started, and it didn’t look like she was waking up any time soon.

Once he put some water on the stove to boil though, he had to stop himself groaning.

He had other business to attended to, and part of him was stalling.

But it had to be done.

So Isaac picked up his phone, dialled a number, and brought it to his ear.

”Hey,” he said when the dial tone stopped ringing, “I need you guys to come over, now. Like right now, but don’t tell anyone.”

***

Isaac was happy that Liam and Cody were very prompt, probably from hearing the seriousness in his voice over the phone.

Very soon he was welcoming the sight of them walking up the path to his front door from his window, he had pulled up a curtain and hadn’t moved since asking the pair to come over.

”Hey, dude what’s going on?” Liam asked once Isaac opened the door.

”Come in,” Isaac said tersely, looking around before shutting the door.

“Isaac, you okay?” Cody asked concerned.

Isaac sighed and turned to face them.

”You guys are my best friends right?” Isaac asked.

”Yeah,” they responded in unison.

”So I can trust you with anything?”

”You know you can Isaac,” Liam said.

Isaac took a deep breath and disappeared upstairs. The pair were left looking at each other in confusion.

”Is Isaac okay?” Liam asked hesitantly.

”I don’t know,” Cody replied, “I’m kind of worried considering this is the first time he’s spoke to us voluntarily since the hospital.”

The boys soon got an answer however, and once they saw what was happily nestled in Isaac’s arms their jaws dropped.

”y/n, these are your uncles Liam and Cody. Liam and Cody, this is y/n.”

Chapter 12: Chapter Twelve

Chapter Text

Cody was happy, really happy, that Isaac had called him and Liam and asked them to come over. But when he came downstairs holding y/n in his arms he wished he hadn’t called him over at all. He wouldn’t have recognised her if it wasn’t for all of the drawings Isaac had done.

“H-how…when..?” Liam stuttered, staring wide eyed at the babe, who was quite happily sucking on a pacifier, head resting groggily on Isaac’s shoulder.

“She was left all alone in neutral territory, I thought she was a lost human and came to the conclusion that a lost human could mean bad news for all of us.” Isaac explained.

“And the fact that she just so happens to be the baby you’ve been obsessed with since you first saw her has nothing to do with it?” Corday asked sarcastically.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Isaac said innocently, looking him right in the eye. “I just found a lost human in the woods.” He said smiling down at her.

“W-what are you going to do?” Liam said.

“What do you mean?” Isaac asked.

“We’re not like Derek or Scott, none of us have the money they do. The kind of money needed for a kid, and it’s not like you can apply for single parent credit, the community can’t know she’s here otherwise they’ll send her back to her original family. Not to mention you’d be arrested,” Liam exclaimed.

Isaac stayed silent.

“Have you told Derek yet?” Cody asked.

Isaac shook his head.

“When are you telling him?” Cody asked.

Isaac stayed silent again.

“Isaac you have to tell him,” Cody said in disbelief, “he’s your alpha, you should’ve told him before us.”

“We’ll I thought if I called you first I could prepare myself for the look of disappointment on his face. You know, you and he have a very similar facial structure.” Isaac replied.

“Do you really think now is the time for jokes?” Cody said rubbing his forehead.

“I found my perfect baby today, trust me, nothing can ruin today for me. I’m happy, I’m going to make jokes.” Isaac replied smiling.

“And we’re happy for you Isaac, we are.” Liam said.

“But it’s a hell of a lot easier to be happy for your friend when the reason he’s happy is a reason he could go to jail for.” Cody finished.

y/n, who seemed to be a lot more awake and who had apparently been tuned in for long enough to understand what the boys were talking about, took out her paci and piped up.

“Isaac bad?” She asked looking up at Isaac. “Isaac go bye-bye?” She looked to be holding back tears.

Isaac’s heart melted.

“Of course not, sweetheart.” He cooed down at her, “Daddy’s not going anywhere.”

***

Isaac calling over his friends was a hell of a lot more helpful than you thought it would be.

Isaac could get arrested for taking you, that was quite interesting.

Not only was he voluntarily being your parent for god knows how long, but he could get arrested if anyone found out. It was weird to think you could kidnap people and treat them like a slave and no-one bat an eye, but saving someone from that fate was a crime worthy of prison.

If it was illegal for Isaac to take you, then Deucalion had/would probably report you missing. That meant police (or whatever the equivalent in this hell hole is) would be looking for you, so even if you escaped it wasn’t as simple as going to the police.

But the fact that you escaping meant that Isaac might get arrested left you feeling…unsure. If escaping meant that you’d probably end up back at Deuc’s and Isaac would be arrested. And if you were to stay here until you were properly prepared for an escape, you would rather stay with the one of the only people who had actually showed you any form of kindness.

“Isaac bad?” You asked taking out the pacifier, you needed to keep up the performance in front of enough people as possible. “Isaac go bye-bye?” You asked letting tears start in your eyes. All for the performance of course.

“Of course not, sweetheart.” He cooed down at you, “Daddy’s not going anywhere.” You couldn’t deny your heart warmed at the way he spoke to you, and the way he rubbed your back with his big, strong hand. “You need to tell Derek,” Cody said, “you need to tell Derek now.”

Isaac sighed, “I know, I know…Pass me the phone.”

Thank you,” Cody said passing him the landline.

Isaac transferred you into one arm, dialled a number and brought it to his ear.

”Hey Derek, there’s something important I need you to tell you.”

***

”Scrub a dub dub, duckies in the tub.” Derek said pouring the rubber ducks into the bath, to which Stiles squealed in delight at.

”Duckies in da tub,” Stiles replied grabbing the iron man duck.

Derek chuckled and felt his phone vibrate in his jean pocket.

”Hey Isaac,” he said putting the phone in between his ear and shoulder.

”Okay I’ll come over once Stiles is clean…yeah usually it’s before bedtime but there was a muddy puddle incident… yeah Stiles likes chicken and noodles…okay I’ll see you later.” Derek put the phone back in his pocket and used his hands to scoop water over Style’s head.

”Guess what baby?” Derek asked putting baby shampoo in his hand. “We’re going to see Uncle Isaac after bath time for dinner.” Style’s face instantly lit up. “And we get to go in jammies, how much fun does that sound?”

”Yay!” Styles exclaimed, his smile warming Derek’s heart.

”I know people say you should wash behind your ears, but I have no idea how you get mud back here…”

***

”Are you guys gonna stay?” Isaac asked, setting her on the floor of the studio. “Look sweetheart, pretty colours. Why don’t you draw Daddy a picture.”

”Sure, why not. I haven’t given Derek a reason to kill me yet.” Cody said.

“What he means to say is of course we’ll stay,” Liam corrected shooting Cody a look.

”Fine, just keep her and Styles in the room when you tell him. Might keep the shouting to a minimum.” Cody mumbled.

”How long until he’s over?” Liam asked, pretending he didn’t hear Cody’s comment.

“Should be any-“

Ding Dong

”-minute.” Isaac finished after hearing the door bell.

”Oh god,” Liam said.

“We’ll start setting the table and keep an eye on her, you…figure out what you’re going to say.” Cody said, pushing Liam into the kitchen.

Isaac took a deep breath and walked over to the door, he paused for a minute and opened it.

“Uncle Isaac!” Styles yelled, practically jumping into Isaac’s arms. With the stress of everything Isaac barely remembered Styles’ usual tactic and almost didn’t catch him.

Styles didn’t care or even notice though, he just continued to babble about how much he missed Isaac.

Isaac forgot about his situation for a moment and indulged his nephew for a moment.

”I missed you too buddy, Derek it’s been too long. Why would you withhold my precious nephew from me?” He said, holding Styles protectively.

Derek chuckled, “Sorry Isaac, he’s just so sweet I have trouble sharing him.”

Isaac walked into his living room and Derek followed.

”Uncle Isaac, can I please colour in your special room?” Styles asked being placed on the floor as the grown ups sat down. Isaac almost paled.

”Such a polite boy,” Isaac barely managed to say, “but not right now. I’ve got special paints drying and they smell really bad.”

”Like Uncle Liam after lacrosse practise?” Styles asked.

”Worse,” Isaac replied.

“Hey!”

Derek looked towards the kitchen. He could smell Lim and Cody were over which wasn’t unusual. Styles however had no idea two other Uncles were over and looked very surprised. It soon clicked though.

”Daddy, Daddy, can I go see Uncle Liam?”

”Of course you can.” Derek said with a smile, Styles hopped up and toddled into the kitchen, but not before going to his Daddy and getting a kiss on the head.

”Actually I’m glad he’s out the room,” Isaac said looking back to Derek.

”You sounded pretty serious earlier, is everything okay?” Derek asked, a serious look coming over his face.

Isaac took another deep breath.

“It is quite serious, and before I even tell you I just have to say: If there was any way I could’ve avoided what I did I would’ve, but I just couldn’t. It…It would be as hard as letting go of Styles.”

”Wow, I can imagine how hard that would be for you, I know how much you want a baby and any of the packs pups are the closest you’ve got now.”

Isaac huffed out a laugh.

”I didn’t mean for me to give up Styles, I-I meant for you to give up Styles.”

Derek’s eyes widened. He stood up, slowly walked over and sat next to Isaac.

”Isaac, what did you do?” He asked quietly.

Isaac opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by a scream.

Isaac and Derek looked at each other for a split second before jumping up and running to the noise which came from Isaac’s studio.

Isaac’s heart stopped at the sight.

”I’m sorry, I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” Styles stammered out,

y/n was where Isaac left her, but from looking at her Isaac could see that the scream came from her. Styles was sat about a foot away from her looking guilty. Styles turned to the two.

”It was an accident Daddy, I didn’t mean to scare her.”

Derek’s face softened for a moment before he walked over to his baby and crouched down to him.

”I know sweetheart, I just think she wasn’t expecting it, we’re you honey?” Derek said, looking towards y/n. y/n shook her head, and smiled slightly.

”Here Styles, why don’t you join y/n in colouring?”

Styles looked very happy to finally be able to colour in Isaac’s ‘special room’ and turned back to y/n who had resumed colouring and quietly chatted to her excitedly.

Derek stood back up and walked over to Isaac, face stoic.

”Isaac,” he said, “what did you do?”

Chapter 13: Chapter Thirteen

Summary:

It’s y/n first bath time in this chapter. Obviously Isaac doesn’t do anything, but there is some description of how y/n is uncomfortable about a stranger touching her. Possibly triggering so read with caution if you think it will upset you.

Notes:

Dear wattpad user gentlywithachainsaw,

maybe next time you steal someone’s entire library on AO3, copy and paste it onto wattpad and portray it as your own, be smart enough to choose a different name.

Or keep ur age of ur bio because it took me less than 10 minutes to figure out u weren’t the same person and were just an asshole who took a hell of a lot of stories u didn’t write and passed them off as ur own.

But maybe I’m just jumping to conclusions, after all GentlyWithAChainsaw has been active since 2015, so maybe it is totally plausible that you had seen all of teen wolf and started writing fanfic at the age of 8.

Now, if you want to continue writing your own version of this story, or what you think/want to happen after chapter 13 I won’t stop you. In fact, I invite you to finish it yourself, but use your own ideas (p.s. this also would make the new work fall under the fair use act of copyright infringement).

Make better decisions next time.

Chapter Text

Isaac took a deep breath.

Isaac had a secret that no one knew. Not Derek, not Cody or Liam. No one.

It wasn’t a bad thing by any means, just convenient, and he never knew when it would come in handy so he never told anyone.

Isaac’s Dad decided one day that Isaac became too comfortable lying to him and started feeling his pulse when asking him something. In reality it didn’t really matter if he was telling the truth or not, having his fathers fingers on his throat was enough to get his heart racing and end up in him being punished.

So out of self preservation, Isaac learnt how to control his heart rate. And after finding out about werewolves, it turned out it was a very good skill to have.

Isaac didn’t like lying to Derek at all, but there was nothing else he could do now. And Derek knew that.

“She was left all alone in neutral territory, I thought she was a lost human and made the quick decision that it would be best for all of us if I took her in.” Isaac said, looking right into Derek’s eyes.

His heartbeat was steady. Derek didn’t know how he did it, but his heartbeat was steady.

The room was quiet for a long time, when the slice was finally broken it was by Stiles.

”Daddy,” he whined, “I’m hungry.”

Derek sighed and turned to his baby.

”I think your uncles are almost done with dinner, why didn’t you go ask them if you can help?” Derek said, plastering a smile on his face.

Stiles eyes lit up, he was hardly ever allowed to go anywhere on his own! He beamed as he toddled to the kitchen.

Derek didn’t turn straight away, instead he walked slowly over to y/n. Isaac could hear her heartbeat pick up and saw her lower lip pop out slightly. Derek leant down and picked her up, she looked visibly stiff perched on his hip

He walked back over to Isaac and placed her in his arms, she melted into his side.

”I want to be clear,” Derek started. He spoke quietly and calmly, but with such power that Isaac couldn’t help but look at the floor. “I know nothing about this, you told me nothing. I will defend you when this goes wrong but I didn’t know. We don’t tell Stiles her name or who she is, we don’t tell the rest of the pack about this. If the alternative wasn’t Deucalion I would not be on your side.”

”Believe me Derek, if it wasn’t she wouldn’t be here.” Isaac said, looking into his eyes again.

”Do you really mean that?”

Isaac thought for a moment, and he honestly didn’t know, he just looked back at the ground again.

”I don’t know if this is right or wrong, but I know it’s right for both of you. So until this resolves itself you keep her here, you never leave her alone, you don’t let anyone see her, and you don’t let any babies interact with her.”

“What about Stiles?” Isaac asked, readjusting y/n on his hip, who was currently fiddling with the paci clipped to her onesie.

”I’ll tell him you’re watching a baby from a different community from an ally pack.”

“Okay,” Isaac said quietly. “You said when this goes wrong.”

”Deucalion will find out Isaac, it might be before the society or after, but you need to be prepared. The only chance you have to not be arrested is to maintain the lost little story.”

Isaac nodded, trying to portray sincerity.

”Dinner’s ready guys,” Liam said, sticking his head into the living room.

***

”I’ll give her credit where credit is due,” Deucalion said crouching down and running a hand along the Forrest floor, “she’s one of the more clever humans.”

Deuc felt the vibrations of Ennis jumping back over the river. He wasn’t out of breath, but still sighed.

”There was a party earlier,” he started. “The majority of the senior class were in the forest today on neutral territory. Any scent that may of led us to her was covered by about 15 others.”

Deucalion looked like he was nursing a migraine by the way he was rubbing his head.

”She must of just slipped through the barrier, didn’t she live next to the woods?” Kali piped up. Ennis nodded.

”If she has we’ll never get her back,” Deucalion replied, his hand moved from rubbing his head to rubbing his bottom lip.

“Is that really such a bad thing? We hate them.” Ennis said.

”Undoubtedly, but I still don’t like having my property run away. She was supposed to be mine.” Deucalion said, the last sentence ending on a growl.

“But what else can we do? If she’s gone…” Kali said trailing off.

”Do you think this has anything to do with Isaac?” Ennis asked.

”I don’t think so, he’s not that stupid. But I’ll have a word with Derek anyway.” Deucalion replied. “and as for right now,” he said turning to Kali, “we go home. We’ll continue to track her on the full moon.”

”Are you sure you want to wait to track her?” She asked.

”We’re not going to get her back tonight, let’s just go home.”

***

Dinner was very uneventful. No one really said anything other than Stiles, he happily filled the silence all by himself though in between spoonfuls that Derek would feed him.

Despite his happy babbles though, you could practically physically feel the tension.

When the food was eaten everyone left, all of your ‘uncles’ gave you kisses and cuddles goodbye which you had to bite your lip through. They seemed nice but you didn’t know these people, and they just showered you with affection that just made you uncomfortable.

Yes, technically you didn’t know Isaac either, but he was the first nice person you met here so it was just different.

At least that’s what you told yourself.

True to his word, Isaac fed you a banana sliced up while the rest of them ate chicken stir fry, (chicken and butter noodles cut up for Stiles).

You were still starving but you didn’t dare ask for food, not only would it suggest you didn’t feel as young as you were acting, but the unhappy gurgles your stomach that came from eating the banana suggested that any other solid food after not having it for weeks would be a bad idea.

Your eyelids were heavy by the time Isaac came back after walking everyone out. He walked back into the living room where he left you and smiled down at you. He walked over and placed you on his hip where you happily lay you head on his shoulder and closed your eyes.

“Don’t fall asleep yet princess, we still have bath time to get through.”

That made you wake up very quickly.

Isaac, other than the general fear of having an unknown man near your genitals, never gave you a reason to be uncomfortable during diaper changes. He was quick and careful and never seemed to linger so by now you were almost comfortable with him touching you like that.

But somehow him bathing you seemed different, logically it probably was the same but being completely naked, exposed, basically at his mercy…

It made your heart clang in your chest.

You whined and we’re sure that Isaac could hear your heartbeat as he shushed you and tenderly ran his hand up and down your back.

”I know, I know it’s confusing. But Daddy would never give you bad touches.”

”Never?” You asked in a very small voice looking up at him.

”Never ever, I promise.” He said looking down at you. He gave you a small smile and walked towards the stairs.

Logic gave you absolutely no reason to trust him, after all, he was taking part in your kidnapping. But he looked sincere, and if he wanted to hurt you or do something worse he would’ve done by now.

”Okay,” you said quietly as he started to ascend the stairs.

”Okay!” He said, his small smile turning into a full on beam. Obviously happy that you trusted him and what he said.

Isaacs house was nice. It wasn’t that big but everything fit perfectly and it didn’t look like very thing was all crammed together.

He carried you upstairs and to the bathroom. It was small, it could probably only fit about three people in. It had a black and white tiled floor. The was a bath/shower on the wall opposite the small window above the sink.

Isaac kneeled down on the floor I front of the bath and placed you down next to him. He turned on the taps and grabbed the baby bubble bath that sat on the edge. You watched as he fiddled with the temperature but quickly turned your attention past him and into the hallway.

It was dark on the stairwell and you couldn’t see much other than a few closed doors and a small table with a lamp on.

It was a small house, other than locks it wouldn’t be hard to escape from.

But then what? Everyone in the neighbourhood was in on it, and that’s assuming Deucalion wouldn’t catch you as soon as you left the house.

The thought made you shudder.

Isaac, who had began to strip you naked, mistook this for shivering and quicker his pace.

You hadn’t noticed that you were topless and the realisation suddenly made you want to cover up. You crossed your arms over your boobs.

By the time Isaac had untapped your diaper and thrown it away the bath was ready, so before you could begin to try and cover yourself you were placed into the warm water.

You half expected for Isaac to get in with you, but all he did was roll up his sleeves and add some bath toys from a basket next to the bath.

You had to stop yourself thinking about how you were in a strange man’s house, naked having his hands rubbing baby wash all over you.

Isaac though, really seemed like he understood that. He washed you quickly and efficiently but never complained that you kept moving. If you moved away from your touch he would just wait until you were still again and would continue on the same area.

Any time you were still though and let him clean you, he praised you. And it was getting harder to deny the nice little feeling in the pit of your stomach at every ‘good girl’.

However, you had to bite your lip to stop yourself from screaming at him when he started between your legs though.

He was true to his word, none of his touches felt sexual. Bug that didn’t stop your rash from burning when it was touched with the washcloth.

Isaac picked up on that quite quickly though and apologised. But his remedy was to use his hand instead of the cloth for the inside of your thighs.

You closed your eyes and tried to picture yourself anywhere else. You started shaking.

’I know, I know princess. I know it’s scary, but I’m your Daddy. I need to keep you clean.’

By the time he was done you were crying again, but Isaac pulled you out of the bath with a big fluffy towel as soon as he could.

’Shh shh, it’s okay. You did so well, my brave little baby. Shhh it’s alright.’

He rocked you, and once again it felt nice. Almost too good to be true. But right now you had nothing.

Nothing except Isaac, so you grabbed onto him and just cried into his shoulder.
