Chapter 1: Work Hard; Cuddle Easy
Chapter Text
They are in the living room, exhausted from a long day of hero things, mostly paperwork on Izuku's part. Shouto is sitting on the couch, Izuku's head in his lap as he goes on about some new villain's quirk that had popped up recently. Shouto's fingers curl around Izuku's hair as he runs gentle fingers through the curly green hair.
He's only half listening, knowing that if he says anything, Izuku will stop and he's enjoying watching Izuku ramble.
Unsurprisingly, Shouto's accident prone fiancé had gotten injured once again, resulting in him being set to desk work. He knows that Izuku's day is filled with boring mundane tasks that Izuku can whip through in seconds.
"Shou? Are you even listening?" The smile that had snuck its way onto Izuku's face is fond and sweet, almost blindingly so.
"I am." Shouto smiles and rubs gently at Izuku's scalp, eliciting a small sigh from his lips.
He sighed, and wasn’t it a wondrous sound? It spoke of solitude, of longing, of the realization that he isn’t alone. Shouto smiled as he kept running his hand through Izuku's hair, mussed after a long day and the constant pressure of Shouto's hand. Tomorrow would always be the greatest unsolved mystery, but they both earned their reward today.
Chapter 2: The Ends
Summary:
Someone does the unthinkable to the number one hero.
Chapter Text
The fight had been intense. Like most fights are. The heroes covered in their blood, survivor's blood, and the blood of their enemies.
There was a hero missing from the scene though. Someone incredibly important to the world, someone that would be highly missed.
Somewhere in an alley sat that hero, propped against the chest of another person, looking less than alive. There was shallow movement as the hero’s chest heaved each breath.
They sighed, and wasn’t it a wondrous sound? It spoke of solitude, of longing, of the realization that they weren’t alone. The other person smiled as they ran their hand through the hero's hair, mussed after a long day filled with battle. Tomorrow would always be the greatest unsolved mystery, but the villains earned their reward today.
With a small adjustment of hands, there was a sudden twist and pop, the hero's body going limp.
A few streets away, the rest of the heroes could hear faint maniacal laughter that sent chills down their spines. They may have won the battle, but they didn't win the same reward that the villains had gotten.
