“You said you wouldn’t break my heart, but here we are.”
“Jimin, please.” the younger begs, his brown eyes reflecting the pain they both felt.
The blond scoffs, looking away for a moment, biting his tongue. Trying to not release the words his anger wanted to scream out. “Please what? You fucking lied to me Jungkook. You could have just told me the truth.” Jimin cries out, clutching his small hands at the hem of his grey t-shirt trying to hold back.
They had always been honest with each other, no matter what, this was new territory for them both and they both tread lightly, not wanting to accidentally step on a mine.
“I didn’t know how you would react! I love you and I know you love me and trust me but, this was an ex, someone you knew. I didn’t want to risk upsetting you or causing something between us to happen.” Jungkook tries to defend the actions he knew where so wrong to start with. He nervously runs his hands through his air as the air between them thicken.
“I know how I would have reacted. I would have been fine, it wouldn’t have bothered me as much as you think it would and I’ll tell you why.” He replies, stepping forward, anger seeping out into the atmosphere around them.
It was almost 1am as they stood on the empty street, a few blocks away from their Busan apartment. While although the wind around them whipped rapidly, Jimin’s cold impression, empty eyes and a pale face caused Jungkook to shiver.
“Because I trust you.” he spits at his face, inches away causing the younger to swallow his pride and stay quiet.
He knew he was in the wrong.
He knew he fucked up, bad.
Jimin laughs, an emotionless and even evil laugh at the situation. With their faces till inches away Jimin continues, “Because I fucking trust you Jungkook. I wouldn’t have lied to you about seeing my ex for a coffee. Especially if that ex was married and had a child on the way. Do you see why I’m hurt now? Can you understand why my heart is in pain?” he yells out on the empty street, the sound of a dog barking faintly filling the otherwise empty void.
“I do Jimin, I’m sorry bab- “
But, before he continues, Jimin moves back, hands in fists by his side. “No, you do not get to fucking call me that right now. Not after you didn’t trust me enough to tell me the truth.” he states, voice laced with rage towards the other. “Jimin, I do fucking trust you. You’re my boyfriend of two years, we live together, you know me better than anyone. Of course I fucking trust you.” Jungkook replies, moving closer to his boyfriend, trying to fix the issue he started.
The elder begins to run his shaky hands through his blond locks, trying to calm himself down. He was beyond furious at it all. From Jungkook’s lie this morning about meeting Jin, to finding out he met his ex-instead from Taehyung and then all the ignored calls and messages Jungkook never bothered to reply too.
He never thought Jungkook could hurt him like this, but, here they are.
“If you trusted me, if you truly do as you say. You wouldn’t have lied to me this morning. You would have had enough faith in me to trust that I would I trust you. That I would believe nothing was going to happen. That it was a simple coffee to catch up on each other’s lives.” Jimin says softer now, the softest he had spoken all night.
He was tired. He didn’t want to have to keep proving himself to his partners. He was sick and tired of all his partners doubting him when he trusted them so much.
“But it was, Jimin. It was an innocent coffee meetup. I promise you that.” Jungkook’s voice now full of hurt and pleading. Trying to heal the boy he loves, the boy he hurt in the first place. The person he promised he would protect no matter what, who would come first above all.
I guess no one really does keep their promises, no matter how much you love someone.
“I believe that. I would’ve believed that if you’d told me before. It’s a shame though that you couldn’t.” the elder states, his voice tired and painful. It had been a long night for the both of them. from the awkward and tense dinner with their friends, to the heated argument at home that seemed to never end. To right now, the street they landed at when their fight couldn’t be contained in between their four grey walls.
“Jimin…” Jungkook’s voice drifts off, unsure what to say to save what they have. The blond just shakes his head, trying to fight off the tears that were destined to fall upon his broken face. “Please, just let me take a walk on my own okay? I need to think.” he says, beginning to walk away. “Jimin wait!” Jungkook tries to stop him as if his clutching onto the last straw left of their relationship.
“Please, if you love me let me heal alone.” Jimin says, voice pleading with so much pain it hurt Jungkook’s own heart to hear him like that.
The pair walk in different directions as do their conflicted hearts.
Jimin keeps his hazy eyes on the pavement, focusing on each step his black boots took rather than the whirlwind of memories and emotions circling around in his mind.
He loved Jungkook, he did, so much. His heart right now was aching at the distance between them, his body begging to be held by the younger’s arms. The arms that always made him feel safe and loved.
But, not now. Jimin was hurt, and he had every right to be.
He needed to think, to make sure that this was the person he wanted. Every couple had fights and low points, but, it’s the way you get through them that determines the strength of your relationship. It’s the way you feel when fighting with someone you love that lets you know how you feel about them.
Do you miss them? Does it hurt you to know they’re hurting? Does every cell in you want to fix things?
Or do you not give a shit if it all burns up in flames?
If it falls apart like a sandcastle on the shore, the waves causing it to tumble down?
Life and relationships seem perfect and happy when everything is good. It’s when everything is falling apart that allows you to see someone for who they truly are, and allows you to see the stability of your relationship.
Jimin hears noise from the right of him and sees two young boys, in their teens, both wearing suits as if coming back from some formal. Their hands clutch at one another so tightly as they kiss, smiling into the exchange. So blissful and unaware of their surroundings.
The blond smiles at them as he is reminded of his own fond and nasty memory involving his boyfriend and suits.

“You looked so fucking hot all night, I was losing my mind thinking about all the things I wanted to do to you.” Jungkook whispers in his ear as they finally unlock the door to their apartment. Jimin smirks at him and pushes him against the closed door once they are inside. “Really? What were you thinking about Jeon Jungkook?” he says, voice sultry as he moves to kiss underneath his partner’s jaw, eliciting a small moan from him.

“Mhh, well how I’d make you feel so good. Pleasure you however you please. Kiss you all over, touch you all over. Whatever my baby wants.” the younger replies, hand sliding up Jimin’s side to cup his cheek, guiding his pillowy lips to his own. Their mouths blend together as if their lips were made for one another, slotting perfectly into place.

They both moan into the kiss as their hands grab at one another suits, eager to take off the uncomfortable clothing and feel one another.

Jimin leans back, smirking illegally at the younger as his darkened eyes move up and down his boyfriend’s body. “I want you. I always want you.” the blond lets out before diving back in, engulfing the others lips with his own, swallowing all the sweet whines that emerge. Jungkook then begins to move forward, his hands reaching the back of Jimin’s thighs signalling for him to wrap them around his waist, which he does, swiftly.

The younger carries them to their bedroom, aesthetics of grey and white surrounding them. Jungkook sits down on the edge, lips still attached to Jimin before they break apart. The couple gazes into one another’s eyes. Jimin’s small, but, sinful hands placed softly on Jungkook’s cheeks as the latter’s hands rest gently on his waist.

Anyone could see the utter love and adoration the pair shared for one another, simply by the way they looked at each other. Their eyes held every word that could describe their love for the world to see.

The blond perks up his eyebrow as a thought comes to mind. “Well, baby, there’s actually one thing I really want to do…” he smirks at his partner, his fingers lacing into the ends of the dark locks he loved pulling at.

A sinful grin appears on Jungkook’s face in response. “Oh yeah handsome? What is it?”.

Jimin bites his glossy bottom lip which has become red and swollen due to all the kissing, and leans into the brunette’s ear, softly but, seductively whispering, “I want to ride you.” before playfully tugging on his earlobe and pulling away.

Jungkook gulps in response and Jimin instantly feels something underneath him growing, arching his eyebrow at his partner. “Jimin, the shit you do to me…” the younger’s voice fades as he leans in, kissing him swiftly. Jimin giggles and pushes his partner flat on his back, hovering over him. “Oh baby, I’m just getting started.” the blond replies as his boyfriend smiles up at him, before leaning down and kissing him once again.

They spend that night completely infatuated with the other, lips and hands everywhere, each touch allowing the other to know how much they love, trust and want one another.
Shivers run down Jungkook’s back as he makes a turn, walking down the very long road that eventually leads to the home he shared with the boy he loved the most.
His hazy eyes look up at the bright, full moon that was shining above him. He and Jimin loved laying down on their balcony, staring up at the moon and stars above them.
Jungkook knows in his heart that there was no else other than Jimin for him. He was it. He was his moon; the beautiful presence that shined in his darkest moments, the person he loved to spend time with the most, where he felt the safest and most loved.
That was all because of Jimin.
Jimin was the one who approached him two years ago. Jungkook had been staring at the blond man for weeks now, secretly hoping that that would somehow get them together. Thankfully, Jimin noticed him too. Noticed the way he played with his hair when Jimin caught him staring. Noticed how he smiled softly to himself when Jimin would stare back.
The pair quickly fell for one another. They would speak every day, have dates almost every Friday night and within a few months they were in love. A year later they moved in together.
Jungkook remembered that day so clearly…

“Wait…this is officially our place? I thought we couldn’t afford it?” Jimin questioned as the pair walked up to the steps, a key in the hand of the younger. “Well, luckily for us the real estate agent is a good friend of Namjoon-hyung, so he was able to meet our budget.” the brunette says, opening the door as his boyfriend stands there in shock, mouth wide open matching his eyes.

Jungkook chuckles at Jimin’s expression as he pushes the door open, signalling for Jimin to walk through. Slowly, the blond walks in and stares at the empty rooms that he was already filling in his mind. He had loved this apartment the first time they saw it. The multiple rooms allowing for a nice sized bedroom and a study for the both of them to have their own space. A balcony that had a beautiful view of Busan.

It was everything he wanted….and now it was his.

Lost in a trance, Jimin barely notices Jungkook walking up behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist.

“So, does my baby like the surprise?” the brunette says, resting his head on the other’s shoulder, kissing him there gently.

With tears in his eyes Jimin spins around, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend’s neck. He smiles softly, unable to form a coherent sentence and instead dives in to capture the other’s lips in a sweet kiss.

Jungkook sighs into the kiss, his arms tightening around his partner’s, bringing him closer. “I’m assuming from that reaction you love it.” he says as they part, staring into Jimin’s watery eyes. The later nods softly, trying to swallow the tears urging to flow out.

“Jungkook, I love it so much. I love you so much. Thank you. I dreamed of having a place like this. The space, the view, everything. It’s all I ever wanted and…. I also dreamed of having a boy like you. One I could come home to and kiss hello. One I could build a life with. Maybe one day adopt some pets and have some children, start a family. I want all of that with you.” Jimin says honestly, now causing the other to shed his own tears.

“Oh baby” Jungkook replies, engulfing him in a hug. They hold each other for so long they don’t even realise until the light outside begins to darken. “I love you so much” the brunette says moving away to rest his forehead against the other’s. “I’m so fucking happy you want all that with me because so do I. You’re my future, my path, my everything Jimin, and I’m so excited and ready to share every day with you.” he continues.

Jimin smiles at the words and glances to the balcony outside, overlooking the darkening sky. “How about we start with gazing at the moon and stars, my love?”. Jungkook smiles softly and kisses his boyfriend’s forehead. “I wouldn’t have it any other way” he replies, taking the other’s hand and heading to the balcony, lying down on the wooden flooring as they watch the stars’ sparkle amongst the big, bright moon.

The pair spend that night sharing tears, kisses and embraces.
Underneath the glittering galaxy they started a life full of love and happiness, but, also one with pain and hurt.
Because, that’s life right?
The comfort and lightness people found in the night was never a permanent feeling. They had to face day, face reality, face things that seemed to not exist in those nights.
The moon and stars were there for Jimin and Jungkook every night, but, with the utter bliss and serenity they found in the dark together, it couldn’t always be like that.
Love and relationships involves sadness and heartache. If it was all butterflies and sunshine, no relationship would last. It’s the pain, it’s the arguments we have with one another that allow for our relationships to strengthen.
Fights are hard, but, are needed.
It’s when you stop having the urge to fight for the person you love, when your heart has had enough, when you don’t want to fix things with someone is when it’s over. When you no longer miss them even during an argument is the moment you realise there’s nothing that can fix something that was tattered, broken and bruised.
The couple, walking on different paths to the same location stop momentarily. Having a flashback to one of the most important and needed argument they ever had.

He knew he shouldn’t have blurted out something as serious as that in the middle of sex. “Jimin, please talk to me” Jungkook begs outside the other’s bedroom door, half clothed eager to sort out what had just occurred.

“You don’t say I want to live with you in the middle of sex Jungkook! That’s a serious step, a huge fucking commitment.” Jimin can be heard from the other side of the door, fear and frustration laced in his tone at the others comment.

“Why does this scare you so much? I thought you loved me? Plus, we always stay together whether it’s your apartment or mine, so why are you so against it?” the younger argues back, trying to understand why such a sweet gesture of his love for his boyfriend caused him to react like that. Sure he probably shouldn’t have said it during sex but, it just came out.

He knew he had wanted this for a while now but, he had been struggling to build up the courage to ask him this because it was such a huge step. One he had never taken with another partner before and it also terrified him.

“Because of my ex!” Jimin blurts out and Jungkook was taken back, not expecting that response.

A moment of silence passes until the sound of a door opening can be heard. Jungkook leans back against the wall opposite the door staring at his partner draped in one of his bed sheets, his eyes slightly watery.

Jungkook stares at him with confusion, as the other finds it hard to make eye contact as his mind relives the painful past momentarily. Jimin takes a deep breath before telling his partner everything.

“The guy I dated before you I had known him since high school, we were in a relationship for four years; two years in high school and two outside. I asked him to move in after four years. He panicked and said it was too soon despite how long we’ve known each other. Anyway, he freaked out and went and fucked another guy and we broke up. It hurt a lot okay? Knowing that living with me scared him so much he left me. I didn’t date anyone for almost a year, then I had some flings here and there to feel something but, no one stuck…until I met you.” Jimin lets out, leaving his boyfriend speechless.

“Jimin…” Jungkook is unsure how to respond. Hearing the pain his boyfriend’s ex had done to him made him want to punch the guy, but, also hold Jimin and let him know he would never do that to him.

“So, I do not want to lose you over living together. I love you so fucking much it shouldn’t be okay to love someone that much. Hence, why I do not want to rush into this. I do not want to risk losing you okay? I won’t be able to survive that…” tears begin to flow down the other’s perfect face and Jungkook walks over, cradling his boyfriend’s face and wiping away his tears with his fingers.

“I love you. I am so serious about this. I just didn’t know how to approach it, hence why it came out when I was in the middle of fucking you. I want you Jimin. I want to share a space with you and call it ours. I want to spend every night looking at the moon and stars from our balcony. I promise my love; you aren’t scaring me away. I’m way too obsessed with you for that to happen.” Jungkook tells him, kissing his forehead gently causing Jimin to smile.

“I needed to hear that.” Jimin replies, wrapping his arms around his partner’s waist, pulling him closer.

“I needed to say it. So…how about Thursday afternoon we check out some apartments?” Jungkook says smile forming on his own lips.

Like a domino effect, Jimin smiles back, his eyes turning into small crescents. “Yes! I would love that.” Jimin replies, moving forward to kiss his boyfriend. Quickly they head back to the bedroom to continue what they were previously doing, now with something to celebrate.

This was the start of the life and relationship Jimin had always wanted, and he couldn’t wait.
That memory shines brightly in both their minds.
They still felt that way. They still wanted to spend forever together.
Both the men begin to walk faster, even run back to their home to solve it all.
Jungkook arrives to his front door and begins to fumble for his keys until he realises the door was already unlocked, slightly ajar. He steps in slowly, closing the door behind him and notices a familiar figure outside on the balcony, the moonlight casting a shadow on the blinds behind him. “Jimin?” he says, moving closer to the sliding door that was also left open.
The blond whips his head around, eyes watery, face marked with his tears and his red lips bitten from him trying to stop himself from crying. Without another word shared Jimin throws his arms around Jungkook and the pair hug, holding onto one another as if their life depended on it.
They stay like that for a few minutes, the stars surrounding the dark sky above them as they engulf themselves in each other’s arms.
“I’m so sorry baby. I should have told you, I know. I’m such an idiot! I love you so much I’m so sorry my love. I trust you so much and I shouldn’t have done that.” Jungkook rants on. The pair both begin to cry at the younger’s words, Jimin moving his head to face the other. His small hands cupping his boyfriend’s face.
“I know, it’s okay baby. You made a mistake, your human, it’s okay. I forgive you. I love you so much too.” the blond tells him as Jungkook lets out a sob at the words, grateful the man he loves was able to see just how sorry he was.
“Oh baby come here.” Jimin says, pulling him closer and connecting their lips. Their lips melt together so smoothly and it feels right. Being together was so right. Despite their arguments and differences, they were meant for each other.
Amongst all the souls in the universe these two had managed to find one another.
And they were never going to take their luck for granted.
Falling in love is normal, it happens to almost everyone. But, the luck part comes in when the person you love, loves you back. When you find your soulmate and everything clicks into place like two pieces of a puzzle.
When they part Jungkook gazes into his partner’s eyes who had the same amount of tears his did. “I was thinking about the fight we had when I asked you to move in with me.” he whispers, arms tightening around the other’s waist.
“So was I, it’s what made me come back here. Because I meant every word I said that night Ggukie.” Jimin tells him, leaning his forehead on the other, finding so much warmth from him that he had been absent of all night.
“So did I. I have loved spending my days and nights with you so much. I know not every night will be peaceful and happy. Even though we got through this hurdle there will be more because that’s life. Life goes on. You make mistakes, shit happens, but, then you just move forward because there is no point in looking back” the brunette tells him from the heart, bopping Jimin’s nose slightly with his own.
“And…on my walk I realised something…I want that all with you, forever. I want the good and bad times with you. I want to make love to you every night and have arguments with you about whether dc or marvel is better. Jimin, I want a future with you. So…”
Jungkook then gets on one knee, holding Jimin’s left hand as the elder stares down in shock, unable to comprehend what was happening.
“I know I don’t have a ring…but, I figure you could pick it out yourself since you’re so fussy about the types of rings you wear.” Jungkook teases causing Jimin to laugh softly through his tears.
“Park Jimin. I love you so very much and I want to spend a lifetime staring up at the night sky with you. Will you marry me?”
The nerves of the younger is evident through his shaky voice. But, his heart is certain that this is what they both want and this is what their future entails.
“Yes! Fuck yes I will. I love you so much Jungkook it’s insane. I want to be your husband so bad.”
Jungkook smiles at the others words so brightly that he shines in the night sky. He stands up to kiss his now fiancé.
“I can’t wait to be your husband.” the younger replies, and moves forward to attach his lips to the others’. Their arms move around to cling to each other’s waist and back, closing the space between them.
“So, shall we lay down and look at the moon and stars tonight fiancé?” Jimin asks once they part, his eyes sparkling as he looks up at the other man.
“I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do.” Jungkook replies as the pair move to lie down on the outdoor furniture that they bought when they first moved in.
The soon to be married couple make love under the galaxy, as they celebrate their everlasting love and devotion to one another that was so beautiful, the sky above them could not compare.
