Chapter 1: Day One: Unstoppable/Perfect Union
Chapter Text
Fire.
Fire everywhere.
That was the first thing that came to Izuku’s mind as he woke up.
The second thing was brown. Brown hair, brown eyes, and pink. Pink costume. Uraraka ‘Uravity’ Ochako was in his field of vision as he woke up, and she was oh-so close to his face. Had he not just woken up right now, he’d be blushing his face purple.
“Deku! Deku you’re alive!” Ochako spoke with relief in her voice, she grabs him by the shoulders and lets him up.
Izuku’s head hurt- it hurt like it got hit by Muscular’s punch- as Ochako helped him sit up. He looks around.
The building in front of him was on fire- thankfully nobody was trapped there- and Tenya and Shoto were fighting three gigantic villain Mechs with all they had. Everyone was bruised, Izuku’s forehead leaking with blood being the worst injury.
He recollects what happened a few minutes earlier.
Everything was going fine, Tenya, Shoto, himself and Ochako were patrolling together on a fine evening. A scream erupts behind them, where they see five Mechs appear out of nowhere while the woman is backed into a corner. Apparently Detrenat, a villain organisation which had appeared suddenly a few months back, were causing trouble again. Instead of sending villains, they sent Mechs with the strength of a Nomu to do their bidding.
These Mechs were different, though. They were bigger, stronger, and had bombs on their arsenal. Their underestimation is what caused this situation right now.
As usual, Izuku jumped forward, putting himself on the Mechs’ line of sight while Tenya sped up and took the woman away with him. Izuku then proceeded to punch all of the bots with a 40% punch in rapid succession, with practised ease. They encountered these robots a lot and knew most, if not all of their weaknesses.
Expecting the robots to fall down like a pile of dust, Izuku stood heroically, grinning like he’d saved the town from exploding. Five bots were too easy to defeat by now.
Except they weren’t normal.
Undeterred, the robot behind attacked his back, too fast for Izuku to recollect his guard.
The punch connected, and Izuku was sent across the street like a football, crashing into the building nearby.
Then as Izuku tried to get out, the bomb lugged a bomb towards the building, exploding at point-blank range.
And here we are. Suit slightly charred on the slides and the chest, Izuku finally managed to stand up, ready to jump back into the action again.
“Deku! where are you going! You’re possibly not thinking to go fight in those injuries, are you?” Ochako questioned the Hero.
His body begged him to stop, but he ignored them. With a huff he answered, “‘M fine.”
She stopped him. “No, you are not! You can’t move without hurting yourself. Let Ingenium and Shoto take this one.”
He tried to continue going. “Can’t….hnngh...risk them...getting..hnng..hurt..” He then sat back down, breathing heavily. Everything hurt, and judging by how his chest felt heavy, he might have broken a few ribs.
“You don’t have to do this alone, Deku. I can come with you.”
“I- wait, huh?” He stopped in confusion.
“You’re not alone in this. We can fight together.” Ochako suggested.
He considered the thought. Him fighting along with Ochako, the love of his life best friend, fighting along with him, taking down bad guys and saving them. Getting injured together, sleeping alongside each other in the hospital, making up power moves together, goi- *BOOM*
Izuku broke out of his thoughts as Tenya and Shoto were sent back flying into the building wall. His backup was gone.
Without a moment for Ochako to intervene, he jumped up forward at the last robot standing. His body hurt, and his mind screamed at him to stop, and run, but he refused.
Heroes don’t run. They fight, and they win, no matter what.
Izuku reached the robot, jumped up and cocked his arm back, and threw the hardest punch he could.
*BAM*
Nothing.
The punch did absolutely nothing.
The robot looked pissed, as it attacked Izuku back.
Everything went black.
Izuku woke up again, his head hurting more than before and no Ochako on his side.
Panic.
Where is Ochako?
He quickly got up, ignoring his body’s agonizing screams, and looked around for Ochako.
His eyes widened.
Ochako was in bad shape, her helmet had cracks in it, bruises littering her torn bodysuit.
He tried to move to her, but his body refused to move.
Damn it!
Izuku grunted in frustration. Why was he so useless?! Why couldn’t he defeat it in time? Why did he have to watch her , of all people, get hurt?!
“You don’t have to be alone, Deku.”
He opened his eyes again.
Alone.
He was alone.
He didn’t have to be.
“Izuku, you dumbass,” He cursed himself under his breath.
He stood himself up.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
He was ready.
“Ochako!”
“H- *CRASH* What? Deku? You’re awake?”
“Ultra Power Move: Gravity Smash!”
Ah.
“Midoriya Izuku, you genius.”
She understood what Izuku meant, but the robot was still tailing her.
“A little help, Deku?”
“Got it!”
A rock quickly came flying at impossible speeds straight at the robot’s head, buying her 10 seconds.
She quickly touched herself, floating upwards in Izuku’s direction.
Izuku quickly jumped upwards- oh god this hurt- and grabbed Ochako’s hand, making him lose weight as well.
“Thank god the robot doesn’t have rocket jets.”
Ochako chuckles at the remark. “Yeah.”
Izuku flicked his finger with 60%, rocketing himself upwards in the air.
A few seconds pass by, when a shout erupts from the sky, a green dot. “OCHAKO, NOW!”
She presses her fingers together, not even bothering to say ‘Release’ as a giant load is unloaded off her stomach.
Green lightning appears around Izuku, red marking appearings all over his body as his descent on the robot starts.
He flicks himself downwards, accelerating his downfall.
He’s only thirty feet above the robot when his shout rings out: “SMASH!!!”
*BAGOOOOOOM*
The ground crackles under the robot as Izuku’s foot makes contact with the head, the Mech crumbling under the force of the attack, along with his foot shattering.
‘That’s gonna hurt like a bitch later. ’
Ochako grabs Izuku at just the right moment, making him weightless and breaking his fall, just a few feet off the ground.
She then presses her fingers, her Quirk going away.
They both fall unconscious on the moment they touch the ground.
Izuku wakes up again, this time his back being on a much softer substance.
His head looks around, recognizing the white ceiling and tiles of a hospital.
He then looks at his hand.
It’s firmly grasping Ochako’s hand, who is on the bed next to his, a thin side table separating the two.
He gives the hand a firm shake, in an attempt to wake its owner.
Ochako’s eyes slowly open, a smile graces her lips, as she notices the hand grasp.
“We made it.” Her voice is as quiet as a whisper, but Izuku can hear it clearly.
He looks at her beautiful smile and her enchanting eyes.
That is the moment when he decides that Uraraka Ochako, his best friend, his very first friend, is the one for him.
“I love you, Ochako.” His voice is none louder than hers, but it sends the message clearly.
“So do I.” She replies back.
He wanted to be with her, always.
Because together, they were unstoppable.

<???>
Class 1-A was chilling in their dorms, waiting for dinner time to show up. Meanwhile, Ochako was cooking in the kitchen, a certain dish in mind.
Spaghetti.
Ever since Mina showed her Lady and The Tramp, a pre-quirk era movie, one scene was engraved in her mind. Two dogs sharing the same spaghetto and kissing as their lips met.
A spaghetti kiss.
That scene has replayed over and over in her mind on multiple occasions, every time Deku and her replacing the spot of the dogs. And when one day, the recipe for spaghetti appeared on Tonio’s Cooking Show, the absolute best cooking show in the world, hosted by Tonio Trussardi, she knew what she would make the next time she’d cook.
She perfected and practiced over and over, the dish looking exactly like Trussardi made it after a few tries.
Okay, a few DOZEN tries.
But she had done it. And the day of reckoning was here. For someone who was conservative about money, those habits were thrown out of the window today, as she’d only bought the best ingredients this time.
All for Deku. And now it was done.
The spaghetti looked as if it came out of a magazine, and smelled ten times better. If she weren’t thinking about Deku right now, she would have started devouring the pasta right then and there.
Then in a satisfied sigh, she texts everyone in the Group chat:
GravityGirl : Dinner’s done guys! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
TheRockBUTHARDER: Finally! I could smell the food from up here!
BiteZaDusto: YOU BETTER SAVE A PLATE FOR ME ROUND FACE
GreenBean: Coming!
BakerMan: I can smell the food too! It’s making me drool already!
Her classmates arrived and marveled at the look and smell of the spaghetti.
“Wow, Ocha! I never knew you could cook this well!”
“GIMME THE FOOD, NOW!”
“I’m drooling just by the smell….”
Pride filled her as she received compliments left, right and center. As everyone took plates one by one, at last it was hers and Deku’s turn to get the food. Just as she planned, there was only one plate left.
They finally decided to share and took their helpings of pasta on the plate and sat on a table, right in front of each other. They both dug their forks in, and took one spaghetto in their mouth, and slurped down the spaghetti. Deku closed his eyes in sheer pleasure of the food, and Ochako was making sure that she was eating the same spaghetto.
Her face went beet red just by thinking about it.
They came closer, and closer and closer, until-
<Back to reality>
*RING RING RING RING RING RIIIIIIIIIIING*
Ochako jumps awake with a yelp, the loud alarm clock abruptly snatching her out of her dreams.
‘It was all just a dream. But why am I dreaming about Deku again? I thought I’d gotten over it.
…
WHY AM I BLUSHING ABOUT IT?!’
<Later in the day>
Ochako was frustrated.
Why the frustration, you ask?
She was frustrated at how absolutely cute distractingly interesting Izuku’s antics were.
How he twirls his pencil in such a cute queer manner everytimie he finishes wrting something.
How he heart meltingly cups his chin while thinking of something.
How he briefly looked at her and shone that beautiful inspiring smile of his.
She was frustrated that Izuku was so goddamn adorable that her heart and mind couldn’t focus on anything else.
And she liked it. It filled her with warmth.
<That night, back into Dreamland>
*PITTER PATTER*
It was raining. Although Class 1-A was relieved to get some rain in the middle of June, a very hot month so far, it also meant no going out, which was a bummer.
Why bummer, you ask?
Well, because today was a Friday, and Friday nights were movie nights!
As the sun set, everyone groaned on noticing that the rain wasn’t slowing down at all.
Iida tried cheering them up. “Come on, guys! We, the students of UA shouldn’t lose spirit because of some rain!”
“And do what exactly, Mr. Class Rep?” Jiro snarked back.
“Study!” Iida said victoriously.
“Why can’t Momo make umbrellas for us again?!” Toru groaned.
“Well, Aizawa-sensei has forbidden us from going out until the rain stops.” Izuku speaks, cupping his chin.
Everyone collectively sighed.
“Wait, Mina?” Sero asked.
“Yes?”
“Don’t you have one of those pre-quirk movies you talk about a lot? What was it, uh, Zodgilla and Giant King or something?”
“Oh yeah! You guys haven’t heard of Godzilla vs. King Kong, have you? and before you ask, no, not GodzillO, it’s GodzillA.”
Some people’s hands went down, and almost everyone shook heads.
“Great! Lemme get the CD and we’ll start in a few minutes!”
“I’m gonna go make snacks!” Sato excuses himself.
<Half and hour later>
The movie was rather stupid.
A giant mutant lizard fighting a giant gorilla- however, seemed to be more entertaining than they thought.
There were the occasional oohs and aahs and yelps, but nothing more than that happened.
Izuku yawned. He’d seen this movie before, being a hero otaku, he had to know the reference to Godzillo’s name. Ochako, who was next to him, noticed his yawn and giggled. “Feeling sleepy, Deku?”
“Hey, don’t blame me! Rain and incorrigible mutter are like the best background noises for sleeping!” Izuku defends himself.
“Well, to be honest, I’ve seen it too, my grandpa had a whole collection of thy pre-quirk era movies.
We used to watch them every time we went to his place.”
“*Yawn* That sounds nice.” Izuku groggily rubs his eyes, seeming to go asleep at any second.
“Hey, do you wanna go to-” Ochako was abruptly cut off by Izuku leaning on to her shoulder, gently snoring.
Surprised, a blush forms on Ochako’s cheeks, but luckily everyone was too enraptured by the movie to glance at her direction.
Izuku felt nice against her shoulder. She shifted herself to put him in a more comfortable position. Finally, his head was on her lap, Izuku producing a goofy smile.
Unconsciously, she took a small strand of his soft, curly viridian hair in her fingers and twirled it around.
‘This is nice.’ Ochako’s mind thought, as she stifled a yawn.
Slowly, her head was on top of his, and both snored in midst of the rain.
<Back to reality>
Ochako slowly opened her eyes as the sun peeked through her window blinds, gently warming her face.
She couldn’t stop herself from grinning dreamily.
She slowly got up from her bed, noticing that she had gotten up before the alarm. Her dream played again and again in her mind, and she couldn't have enough of it.
That was when she knew.
She loved Midoriya Izuku.

Chapter Text
Pregnancy was weird.
Knowing that a human being was inside you, made you a bit self-conscious about what you put into yourself.
Then again, the baby might be influencing your decisions, explaining the weird cravings.
Even still, Ochako would feel a bit guilty when she came up with a new weird craving like Ramune or Orzotto.
Even if Izuku didn’t show it, seven years’ worth of experience of being his girlfriend- now wife-, told you precisely how to read him. And her Izuku-reading skills told her he was scared.
Shit-scared.
And truthfully, Izuku was- who wouldn’t be?! A freaking human being was developing inside your wife- YOUR CREATION, by the way- mentally controlling her to get weird food cravings? What if it saw you? What if it didn’t like you as a dad? Why has Ochako gotten so big? Will the baby explode? Please don’t explode! Pleasedon’texplodedon’texplodedon’texplodedon’texplodedon’texplodedon’texplode…
Such thoughts riddled his mind all the time, every time. Because you know what? It just made him want to love his child the best he could all the more. Give him hugs, kisses, snuggles, toys, whatever he/she wanted.
He wanted to be the best dad he could be, unlike his own dad.
He wanted to be there for his child. He wanted to be the one that would witness its first steps, hear its first words, send it off to school for the first time, all that good stuff.
And he wanted to do it with Ochako. Together. Seeing her smile when she told him the news, that beautiful, beautiful smile, with her enchanting brown eyes glimmering in happiness, that sight….
It made him fall in love with her all over again. It made him remember the good old times of high school- when he’d been a hero-in-training, harbouring a gigantic crush for a certain brunette with a smile that’d make his heart melt.
And she was his wife.
His wife.
Midoriya ‘Deku’ Izuku’s wife. The quirkless, useless, bastard now had a WIFE, and she was pregnant.
He couldn’t stress how much she didn’t deserve him.
But she was with him anyway, all along the way.
And that put him on Cloud Nine.
The day of his birth was DEFINITELY on his list of ‘Top Five Days Of My Life’.
It was stressful. Ochako cried a lot, Izuku cried even more than her- not sure how that’s possible- but in the end, it was all worth it.
The sleepless nights, the fear, the tension, the stress, it all melted away like it was nothing.
Because looking at his child… his brown hair and his green eyes and the expression of pure wonder on his face.. it was like...
He’d seen himself in a mirror.
And he loved him, he'd never stop loving him over and over.
<Four years later>
Izuku was relaxing on a day off in his living room, soaking in the sunlight, when his baby monitor beeped.
Toshinori appeared on his screen, wailing. “Daddy, hewp! I got the hapabadeedee going habapadoodoo!”
Hold on.
The hapabadeedee? going habapadoodoo?
Oh no.
Oh GOD no.
"Ochako, we have a problem!"
"What now?"
"We have a hapabadeedee going habapadoodoo!"
"Oh no."
Izuku and Ochako ran to Toshinori’s room in a panic, hapabadeedee in the habapadoodoo was serious business.
As they burst in through the door, they saw Toshinori’s favourite snack, his mochi floating just above Izuku’s reach.
“Mommy, hewp… stummy huwty ‘cause hepabadeedee going hebapadoodoo…” Toshinori hobbled over to his mother who took him in her lap. cradling him slowly.
Toshinori’s quirk was Gravity Manipulation, a mix of Inko’s and Ochako’s quirk. He could manipulate the gravity of any object by just looking at it, in exchange for ‘stummy hurties’. Even though it had only manifested a month ago, Izuku was so starstruck by his son’s quirk that he had already filled up two notebooks on his son, only rivaled by a whopping four notebooks on Ochako, which discussed everything about her, ranging from her personality to the hugs she gave. Toshinori’s control over his quirk was somewhat stable, but it would flare up here and there occasionally, causing hepabadeedee going hebapadoodoo’s to happen.
The reason this was a subject of panic was that Toshi’s quirk seemed undeterred by his weight limit sometimes, last time this happening was a cubic meter of wall floating away from the wall and out the window, into the garden.
Toshi was now asleep in his mother’s arms, both parents giving a sigh of relief.
He was sure something, but he was worth all the trouble.
Ochako saw herself in Toshi, herself from when she had gotten her quirk. Clueless, giggly, and nauseous. And his smile reminded her of Izuku’s.
He looked like her mirror reflection, more or less.
And she couldn’t stop herself from loving him more and more.
Both parents saw themselves in their child.
And if loving a part of yourself was narcissistic, then they'd proudly call themselves that.

Chapter Text
“Oi Izu! You went to the doctor today, don’t try ta hide it from me! Tell me, what’s your Quirk?” Kacchan skipped excitedly towards Izuku, he was his best friend, obviously he’d be excited.
“I- um- I- K-Kacchan…” Izuku sputerred nervously.
“Tell me, what is it?” Kacchan demanded again.
“I-I…..I don’t…...have a Quirk…” Izuku hung his head in shame.
Kacchan looked at Izuku in disbelief. The entire park quietened around the two, attention now grabbed by the pair.
“You don’t have one?” Kacchan tightened his fist.
THe other kids laughed, pointing their fingers to Izuku.
“He doesn’t have a Quirk? How lame!”
“Useless!”
“Loser!”
Insults and names echoed around Izuku, tears flowing fully down his cheeks.
“Deku.” Kacchan spoke, voice as quiet as a whisper.
“Kacchan..?” Izuku tried approaching his friend- his ONLY friend.
Kacchan grabbed Izuku’s arm and shouted to all who’d listen.
“Listen up, extras! Izu right here is Quirkless! Now, what does that mean? Lemme show you..”
Kacchan then lugged his arm straight at Izuku’s gut, causing him to groan in pain and fall down.
“I punched Izu, but he can’t do anything! He’s Quirkless! He’s Deku ! He’s a punching bag! He can’t do anything to you!” Kacchan kicked Izuku a few more times for emphasis.
Everyone in the park followed suit.
Chantings of ‘Useless’ and ‘Deku’ echoed throughout the park as kids jumped in on Izuku’s skinny body, punching and kicking every part of it, because he was a punching bag.
He was Deku, a wooden doll , everyone used him, he had no free will.
Midoriya Izuku considered his life to be crappy.
But he also thought he deserved it. A Quirkless, useless Deku never came useful to anyone.
A wooden doll, a gratified punching bag was all he was.
He was a dying flame, in front of the Sun. He did not count.
It certainly didn’t help that he was homeless, both of his parents six feet under.
<Five years ago>
Life being Quirkless was…. not pleasant, to put it lightly.
Getting routinely beat up by your ‘friends’ as well as your drunkard father wasn’t exactly what Izuku had imagined in mind.
He’d wake up, quickly creep out of the school, only to get beaten up there, then come back with bruises all over your body, and then getting beaten up again for being helpless and weak.
His mom would try to save him, but alas, she’d get caught in the crossfire and get beaten up too.
In the end, both Inko and Izuku would be crying the pain away, bruises littered over their bodies alike.
His mom was one to always protect. She was the kindest person he knew, who always supported him and loved him, no matter what. Midoriya Inko was an angel, nothing less than that.
She was the only source of light in his life, she was the only thing stopping him from going insane.
Until she herself lost it.
When Izuku was ten, he noticed his mother’s behaviour...changing. The usually jubilant and glowing green eyes were… dull. She looked perpetually tired and less responsive overall. SHe didn’t stop loving Izuku one bit, but even he could see the fake smiles she’d put on for him.
One day, Inko broke.
Izuku remembered that day vividly. It was a nice, sunny day. Izuku’s school was off, so he was in the verandah, enjoying the lukewarm sunlight.
Then he heard shouts from inside the house.
“Hisashi, I’ve had enough! You always come back home drunk. You hurt me and Izuku, and now you reek of perfume! What’s going on with you?!”
“Don’t tell me.. what to do.. BITCH!” Hisashi looked disheveled, his shirt uneven, hair ruffled, and a whiskey bottle in hand as he raised the other hand to hit his wife.
*SMACK* *THUD*
Inko fell back on the tiled floor, cheek hand-printed by Hisashi’s slap.
“This is what happens when a wife behaves badly.” Hisashi angrily spoke, wisps of flames escaping him lips
He gave a short exhale, shooting a bit of fire with it.
Big mistake.
Inko had purposely left the gas stove on.
And gas was flammable.
VERY flammable.
Inko screamed. “Izuku, RUN!”
And run he did.
Immediately, the entire house burst into flames with an explosion. Hisashi screamed in pain, he was burning from his own quirk! “Burn in hell, asshole.” Inko spat at him, who was also on fire.
Izuku screamed. “Mom, NO!”
The fire eventually spread through the entire house, Izuku being the only survivor. Even the ashes of Inko couldn’t be found when the house was burnt down.
That was the day he stopped feeling. He didn’t even cry for Inko’s death, he just stood there, with the same blank expression on his face, eyes dull green, as if their shine was stolen by someone.
Just like Inko.
It.. disgusted him. Not being able to feel anything scared him. He couldn’t feel grief for his mom’s death, he couldn’t feel any pain from the cuts and bruises he got for his house exploding, he didn’t feel any anger for Hisashi, nor did he feel any tears wetting his cheeks.
He just felt… empty. Like a non-living wooden doll, he felt no emotion.
And that made him sick of himself.
He tried to off himself many times, at this point he’d lost count, as to how many times. Once, he’d jump off a building, only for his thick-headed skull to survive through it, and get out of the hospital and out on the streets two days later. Once he tried to stab himself to death, only for a hero to find him full of stab wounds. Once he tried to drown himself, only for him to fall unconscious and float back onto the surface again. He tried to hang himself, the rope broke. He tried to drink poison, his stomach puked it out. He’d deliberately look for villains so that they could kill him, but to no avail. Once, when a slime villain had actually caught him, freaking ALL MIGHT came to save him.
Eventually he accepted that he was too useless to even be able to kill himself, so he let nature do its course and tried to starve to death.
But of course, he failed in this too.
But this time, he didn’t regret failing.
His guardian came in the form of a pretty brunette girl with a bob-cut, who later introduced herself as Uraraka Ochako. As he lay unconscious in the Dagobah beach, because of course, trash belonged with trash, Uraraka, bless her soul, took him to her apartment and gave him food.
At first he didn’t believe it one bit. Midoriya Izuku, who’d been subject to abuse all his life, had almost forgotten what kindness was like, ever since Inko had died five years ago. It felt...foreign. It didn’t feel right for him. He didn’t trust Uraraka.
He couldn’t.
Trusting was not hardwired in his brain. He was scared , absolutely terrified. Never had a person done a good deed to him without asking for payment in return. He did not know how much this level of kindness cost. He feared that even his useless, pathetic life wouldn’t be enough payment for it. He always expected that anyone who’d come near him would use him and throw him in the trash, but not her .
She was another angel , like his mother. She showed how kindness felt like. It felt warm, the feeling was unknown to him. All feelings were unknown to him, in fact.
But this... this kindness thing…
It felt nice.
She slowly, but surely, taught him how to feel. She fed him, took care of him, tried to be his friend, his first real friend- Izuku had soaked her entire shirt after hearing that- and didn’t hate him.
Who was she? Why did she want to be friends with a useless ol’ wooden doll? He did not know.
But what he did know was that he was grateful. He was indebted to her. That he couldn’t thank her enough for saving him.
On the day he told her that he trusted her, she broke into tears of happiness, almost giving him a panic attack.
“H-hey, Uraraka?”
“Yes, Izuku?”
“Why did you save me? I’m like a dying flame in front of the Sun, I’m irrelevant, useless, abso-”
“Izuku, what did I tell you about that kind of talk?”
“S-sorry…”
“But you’re still wrong. You’re not a dying flame!”
“Then why do I see you shining so brightly, and not me?”
“That’s because… I’m like a mirror! I reflect all the brightness you give! You are sweet to a fault, Izuku. Whoever told you those things was wrong. If I’d been there, I’d sock them in the face and tell them that they are dead wrong. I’ve never seen a kinder, sweeter boy than you. You inspire me, you know that?”
“*sniff*-Th-thank you, Ur-Urararaka…”
“Hehe.. looks like you added one too many ‘ra’s there, silly.”

Chapter Text
Midoriya Izuku was sick.
Well, at least he thought he was.
Ever since he’d raided the yakuza, beaten Overhaul and saved Eri, Uraraka Ochako kept appearing in his thoughts. She did appear in his thoughts even before the work study itself, but his feelings about her had been dampened due to his mind focusing on Eri, the one he couldn’t save.
Now that the issue at hand was fixed, those feelings came back full force. He found that he couldn’t stop himself from glancing at Uraraka’s
beautiful
concentrating face in class, and that he couldn’t pull himself out of dreamland whenever he looked at her
stunning
smile. He remembered when she’d worn the Thirteen hoodie he’d gifted her for her birthday,
and how she looked so goddamn cute in it.
The first few days weren’t so bad, the occasional daydream and a few glances didn’t hurt anyone.
But then, it started to get worse.
He simply couldn’t focus with Ochako being in the same room. He’d gawk at her endlessly, or daydream about her until the bell rang. Those days he’d have to borrow notes from Iida to catch up, who thankfully gave them without any question. Even then he couldn’t stop himself from going tomato whenever she glanced at him, or when he’d accidentally, or purposefully touch her. He’d ponder over these feelings everyday, and arrive at the same question everyday: ‘Am I in love?’
So he’d ask the most trustworthy and wise person he knew.
His mom.
Inko was internally squealing with joy when Izuku came to her next Saturday to talk to her about this. She knew how isolated he’d used to be when he was younger, to see him hopelessly fall in love with someone brought tears to her eyes.
So she told him. He was indeed, hopelessly in love.
He took a few days to get his thoughts together after learning this new piece of information and came to the conclusion that yes; he was in love.
After a bit- okay, a LOT- of internal debate, he came to another conclusion.
He should ask her out. Or should he?
He pulled a coin out from his pocket.
<Two years ago>
“Happy birthday, Izuku!” Inko brought in an All Might cake, ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZUKU’ splattered all over it.
“Th-th-thank you, mom!” Izuku hugged her, tears falling from his face.
“That’s not all I have for you!” Inko then produced a nicely gift-wrapped box, small enough that it fitted in her palm.
Izuku gently took it from her, and opened the box. There was a coin inside. It had a crest of Olive leaves, and it was completely viridian, the same color of his hair.
“This is the coin my dad passed on to me, who was given this by his father, who was given this by her mother, and so on. And now, I’m passing it on to you. Whenever I had a tough decision, I’d flip this coin and do whatever that side of the coin wanted me to do. This coin has never failed me. And now, I want you to rely on this coin in times of distress too, Izuku. I hope it serves you well.” Inko smiled a gentle smile.
There was a pause.
Then Izuku latched on to his mother. “I-I-I love you, mom! I’ll take good care of it!”
“I know you will, my baby. Now, let’s finish this cake, shall we?”
“Ur-Uraraka-san, I-I-I w-wa-wanted to tell you so-s-something.” Izuku came to her, albeit being a blushy stuttery mess.
“Two things, Deku. First, are you sure you don’t have a fever? You’re as red as the reddest tomato I’ve seen in my life! Second, what’s up? What did you want to ask me?”
“One, no, I don’t have a fever. T-two, I-I….I- hold on a second..”
“It’s okay, take your time.”
“I-I l-like yo-y-you, U-Ur-Uraraka-s-san. S-so will you-” Izuku said, voice as quiet as a whisper.
“H-ho-hold on. What did you say, Deku? I can’t hear you.”
“I said, *inhale**exhale* I-I l-like y-y-you, Ur-Uraraka-san. N-not a-a-as a fr-fr-friend, b-bu-but as something e-e-”
“As something else.” Uraraka finished for him, now face burning hotter than his.
“Ye-yeah. S-s-so do-”
“Do I wanna go out on a date with you?” Uraraka finished for him. Then she took a deep breath, somehow her face turned redder, and stuttered the word out of her system.
“Y-ye-y-e-ye-ye-s. N- I mean, yes.” Uraraka answered finally.
He was shocked beyond belief. Midoriya Izuku, who’d been told over and over again that no one would want to be near him, nevermind like him, had asked out a girl.
And she said yes.
She. Said. Yes.
Izuku couldn’t be happier proving someone wrong.
He also couldn’t be happier getting a Tails in his life.
Had he got a Heads, he’d still be dreaming about Uraraka, in his room, pathetically waiting for her to ask him instead.
But now, she had said yes, and they were going on a date on Friday.
Luck is truly something.

Chapter Text
Izuku was confused. And scared- he was confused and scared. And flustered too- don’t forget flustered.
Izuku was flustered, confused and scared.
What would make him feel so many things simultaneously, you ask?
Well, the reason was that he held a girl’s hand . Not just a girl’s hand, he held his crush’s hand.
Now, you might be thinking that touching a girl’s hand isn’t that big, get yourself together, Izuku, you dumbass, you stu- *Technical Difficulties*
And you’d be right.
But for Izuku, this was as big as hooking up with someone whilst being under the influence of alcohol, just for one simple reason.
He hadn’t ever held a girl’s hand before (And his mother didn’t count).
Holding Uraraka’s hand, feeling her soft, warm hand against his scarred, cold hand felt nice .
Too nice. It almost made him suspect if her hand was secretly cottage cheese.
But all theories aside, it made him feel...complete, though he wasn’t sure how that worked. It made his cheeks burn hotter than Endeavor’s flames, and those flames can liquefy iron in seconds.
Now you would be asking, how did Midoriya Izuku, a very observant person, find himself in this mess in the first place?
To answer that, we have to go <Yesterday>.
UA was a school which did not know what the word ‘mercy’ meant.
Which is why Class 1-A was training after a VERY draining day at school, more tired than ever.
However, Izuku didn’t mind. He was always up for improvement, seeing how he’d had his Quirk for only seven months, and how everyone else had 125 more than him to refine their Quirks (that’s 10 years, and 5 months, by the way), he wasn’t one to deny training. He was one to snatch every opportunity to do it.
Which is why Izuku was trudging the line of consciousness, and the lack of it, yet again. He only had five hours of sleep, after which he had woken up at four to do extra training in the morning, then morning classes from eight to eleven, then afternoon classes from twelve to two.
And now it was three in the afternoon, where Izuku had had his lunch thirty minutes ago, and now the drowsiness was kicking in. Izuku mentally didn’t mind training all day, but his body, which was already only BARELY strong enough to hold that power-draining Quirk of his, absolutely DID mind.
He was on top of a rock, working on his agility by dodging Sero's tape, when his body suddenly started shutting down. His vision became hazy, his movements became sloppy, and his body struggled to keep Full Cowl in control. Aizawa, being a very observant teacher and knowing the signs of one overworking themselves when he saw them, called off the training and ordered- not suggested, ordered - Izuku to go to bed early.
Izuku groggily nodded, and stepped forward to go who knows where. Little did he know, there was nowhere to step at.
So now we see a very sleepy Izuku falling down a twenty-foot rock, nearing the ground as you read these words. His face gets closer and closer to the ground until-
Uraraka catches him.
She giggles as Izuku falls onto her arms, on the verge of passing out. “Guess I saved you again, huh Deku?” She says teasingly, to which Izuku is only able to reply with a nod.
As she sets him down on the ground, she offers to walk to his dorm with him, to which he reluctantly agrees.
By the time they reach his dorm room, and are about to say goodbye to each other, both of them notice something horrifying.
They were holding hands. Their fingers were intertwined like the roots of a tree, as if they were…
A couple.
Izuku and Uraraka, who were now thoroughly blushing, break their hands apart, and run away with a quick “Bye” from either party.
Which brings us to now.
Izuku had been asked by Uraraka to come to her dorm at 6 PM, and Izuku was sweating bullets.
‘What’s gonna happen? Is she mad at me? Does she hate me now? Does she just want to talk? Does she hate me? Will she not want to be my friend anymore?’ and a million more thoughts zoomed past his head at impossible speeds, but he calmed himself, and finally managed to knock lightly at Uraraka’s door.
After a short yelp, the answer came. “C-come in.” Uraraka said, trying to sound confident, but she was every inch as confused, flustered and scared as he was.
The doorknob turned, and the door creaked, revealing Izuku, who wasn’t doing any better about the situation. They met each other’s eyes, and their blush deepened, causing both of them to look away with a jerk.
“S-so..” Izuku attempts to commence something called cah-myoo-ni-ca-shun.
“Y-yeah…” Uraraka’s brain fails to think of anything else.
A few moments pass in an uncomfortable silence.
“Deku.” Uraraka starts again.
“H-huh? What?” Izuku comes back from thought-land and answers.
“A-about yesterday...” She continues.
“I-I’m sorry Uraraka! I didn’t mean to! I shouldn’t have! I was so sleepy and I didn’t notice! It’s okay if you hate me now…” Izuku hangs his head down in shame and turns around to walk out of the room.
“N-no! Deku, wait!” Uraraka grabs his arm in an attempt to stop him.
Ah.
There it is.
Her soft hand, against his hard arm.
WHY THE HELL DID IT FEEL SO GOOD?!
Izuku’s blush grows, and he turns back.
‘I don’t hate you…holding hands with you yesterday... it made me realise something.” Uraraka looks up to him, forgiveness in her eyes.
“Can you close your eyes for a bit?” She asks him.
Izuku obliges, and his eyelids close.
He feels Uraraka’s soothingly soft hands cup his cheeks.
Then, slowly, Uraraka’s lips meet his.
He feels like he’s in a dream.
But he isn’t.
Which makes it all the better.
The kiss is sloppy and hasty, and there are teeth involved, but to both of them, it’s just right.
Eventually, they both pull back, the need of air surpassing the want to continue kissing each other.
“I realised that I love you.”
