Chapter 1: Yugi: Who is the Imposter?

Chapter Text

Yugi loaded up the game and made sure his microphone was working. In the lobby was himself, Joey, Tristan, Tea, Bakura, Duke, Serenity, Mai, Mokuba, and Marik. Everyone was running around, making sure all the controls were working.

“Okay, do you guys know how to play?” Yugi asked. Everyone did, except for Serenity.

“I don’t really know how to play. I only vaguely know about this game.”

“Okay, let me explain really quickly. We’re all these little space people and we’re in a giant spaceship. The main goal is to complete all the tasks that are assigned to us. However, two of us are going to be imposters, and their goal is to try and kill everyone else. So, we have to get our tasks done before everyone gets killed.”

“Okay, I get it,” Serenity said.

“When you find a body, report it and then we discuss who could have killed them. When we’re doing tasks, you are muted, and we unmute during discussions. You can also call emergency meetings, but each person only gets one per round. If you die, you can still do tasks, and you can chat with other dead people, but you can’t talk during meetings.”

“That makes sense, because you know who the imposters are.”

“Finally, imposters can sabotage lights, reactor, oxygen, and can close doors. You can also vent if you’re an imposter to get around the ship easier. They can also fake tasks, so be watchful. And that’s pretty much the basics, so are we all ready?”

“Ready!”

Yugi smiled. “Okay, I’m going to start the game, good luck.” Yugi sighed as the countdown began. Yami appeared behind Yugi, ready to observe and learn.
“Okay, crewmate this time,” Yugi said. “Alright, let’s head over to weapons, got some files to download.” He walked over with Tea and Duke and walked up to his first task.
“I’ll keep an eye on those two,” Yami said as Tea and Duke were walking around, with one of them starting the weapons task.

“Okay, done with that. One of them is doing weapons because there’s an animation, but I can’t tell who it is… it could be both though.” As Yugi was thinking, an alarm was heard.

“Oxygen! I’m right here!” He ran down with Tea now as the timer was running down. When he got to the room, he walked up and brought the number pad up. “Okay, 34413. Tea was watching me, so she can vouch for me.” Duke then came running in and turned around as the alarmed stopped. “Hmm, little sus of Duke right now.”
Yugi started running towards navigation when a dead body was reported.

“Alright! I found Mokuba’s body over by reactor! I was on my way to do Simon Says, and I found his body. I did not see anyone else near me,” Joey reported.

“Tea was with me and I saw her doing weapons. Duke was with us too, but I can’t vouch if he did weapons or not,” Yugi explained.

“I did, I was doing them with Tea. You both left before I finished,” Duke explained. Yugi nodded.

“I went down to admin to do the card swipe and then headed down to storage to do the fuel task,” Bakura explained.

“I did see Mokuba heading towards lights, but I lost track of him because I had to go up to Admin. I didn’t see you though Bakura,” Serenity said.

“Well I went to Admin at the very beginning, so it must have been later in the round. I went down to storage for the fuel, and I was heading up to the tank when the oxygen was going off,” Bakura explained again.

“Oh okay.”

“Yugi was the one who did the oxygen on the right, who did it on the left?” Tea asked.

“That was me,” Tristan said, “And I saw Mai coming into the room, then the oxygen stopped.”

“Okay, so Marik, where were you?” Duke asked.

“I was in Medbay doing my scan. The oxygen went off and I wanted to finish my scan so I wouldn’t have to do it again. That’s why I wasn’t there.”

Nobody spoked for a moment before Joey did. “I’m gonna skip, I don’t have enough information.”

“Same.” Everyone started voting to skip.

“I have a question, and please don’t see this as suspicious, but can imposters report bodies too?” Serenity asked.

“Yes, they can. Imposters can self-report and report the other imposter’s kills,” Yugi answered. The voting stopped and everyone voted to skip. “Well, this is a slow start to the round, but yeah, I don’t have enough information.”

As the second round started, Yugi headed back to weapons. “Okay, I still have tasks in navigation,” he said. Joey appeared next to him. “Hey Joey, you coming to Nav with me?” Yugi went up to the control and did the center task. “Okay, Joey, are you doing tasks?” Once his task was finished, he ran up and did another download task.

“Yugi, look!” Yami pointed and Yugi looked over to see Bakura entering the room and standing there.

“Hmm, he’s just standing there. Is he watching us? Or is he making sure we’re doing tasks? Little sus there.” Yugi walked out and headed down towards Shields to do another task. “Maybe I should go back and see if there’s a body up there. I did just leave Joey alone with Bakura.”

As Yugi was deciding what to do, the lights started dimming. “Oh great, there’s gonna be a murder, I know it.” Yugi started running towards the lights passing Serenity. Once Yugi was about the enter light, a dead body was reported.

Yugi heard noises coming from Tea. It sounded like she had something to say. “I just saw someone get killed! But the lights were dim and I couldn’t tell who it was! This literally just happened!” she explained loud and fast.

“Okay, so who was it you found… it was Duke?” Serenity asked. “Wait, Tristan’s dead too!”

“Oh that’s not good. Did you find his body too?” Bakura asked.

“No, I just found Duke’s body right by lights. Someone else was in there, and I know someone was in front of me, but I forgot who it was!”

“Joey was with me in Nav, and if we’re going to talk about all of this, then I need to say something! Right now, I’m a little sus of Bakura,” Yugi proclaimed.

“What? Why me?”

“You were in Nav with me and Joey, and you just stood there and watched us, almost like you were about to kill one of us.”

“No, I was almost done with my tasks and I thought one of you was going to kill the other. That’s all. When you left Yugi, I went through weapons to go to Cafeteria because I had a task up there.”

Yugi still had his suspicions but couldn’t say anything as Mai spoke up. “I was with Serenity in Medbay, and I saw her do a scan. She left and I did my scan. I don’t know where she went afterwards.”

“I saw her coming from the top of storage when the lights went out and I was on my way there,” Yugi vouched.

“So that means the only one who isn’t cleared is Marik. Where were you this round?” Joey asked.

“I was in the reactor doing tasks. The lights went out and I was heading towards lower engine and then the body was reported.”

“Hm, why didn’t you head for lights right away?” Yugi asked.

“I was going to. I had one more task so I thought I could get it done and someone else would turn the lights on, since there’s still a lot of us here. I was nowhere near electrical this round.”

“Um Marik, last round you didn’t bother with oxygen, and this round you didn’t bother with lights. That’s a little sus,” Mai said.

“And you’ve been by yourself these past few rounds, are you a lone wolf or something?” Yugi asked. “I’m kind of leaning towards Marik.”

“Yeah, we’ve all been able to vouch each other, but nobody has been able to vouch for Marik. I’m voting!” Tea said.

“Wait, wait, I was going to lights, I just did a quick task before I did so! I was going to fix the lights! Believe me! I was!” Marik defended himself.

“I’m voting too,” Yugi said as he clicked Marik’s name.

“Eh, I don’t know, I’m skipping,” Joey said.

Serenity and Mai placed their votes, with Bakura waiting a few more seconds before placing his vote. Marik finally placed his vote. “Guys, I swear I was going to go fix the lights once I was… well, okay then,” he said as the votes were counted and Marik was voted out with five votes, with Joey and Marik voting to skip.

“I hope we’re right,” Yugi said as Marik’s spaceman was ejected.

“Well, good luck guys!” Marik said before everyone muted for the next round.

“Okay, I just remembered I have a Medbay scan, so let’s go and do that,” Yugi said as he ran over to the scanner. As he was scanning, Mai walked into the room. “Mai? You here to watch me scan?” Yugi had just finished scan when an Emergency meeting was suddenly called.

“Hi everyone,” Bakura said. Yugi looked at the screen and saw that there were no new deaths.

“What is it Bakura? I have only one more task left!” Joey complained.

“I just wanted to talk about something. I wanted to bring it up last time, but we were so focused on Marik that I couldn’t!”

“What is it then?” Tea asked.

“Alright, so I have a question for Mai, you said last round you watched Serenity at the scanner on Medbay, correct?”

“Yeah, what about it?”

“Okay, Serenity, did you see Mai do her Medbay scan?”

“…No, I left when she started her scan.”

“Then how do we know whether she did her scan or not, no one saw her, and she could be lying.” Yugi gasped as Mai tried to counter.

“No! I did do my scan! No one was there to witness it, but I did it!”

“Mai, I was doing my own Medbay scan and you came into the room, did you have another task in there?” Yugi asked.

“No, I’m finished with my tasks. I was looking for any suspicious activity! I went to Cams, didn’t see anything, so I was going around trying to find something.”

“Something, or somebody to kill?” Bakura placed his vote at this time. Soon after, Joey did too.

“Eh, I’m not sure…” Tea said after she placed her vote.

“I’m telling you guys the truth! I’m done with my tasks!” Mai said, placing her vote.

“I don’t want to do this… but that last play was just too sus,” Yugi said as he clicked on Mai’s name, and Serenity voted soon after. The final score was vote to skip from Serenity, Tea and Mai, and a vote for Mai from Bakura, Joey, and Yugi.

“WHAT THE HELL!?” Mai shouted as the votes were shown. “You guys just made a big mistake!” Mai’s spacewoman was ejected, and Yugi had a realization as the next round started.

“Oh crap, was Mai innocent?” Yugi asked as he went to finish his tasks.

“It’s possible,” Yami said. “You have to be careful and think things through when you’re faced in a situation like that.”

“If that’s true, then I’m putting even more sus on Bakura,” Yugi said. He ran up to the next download and started his task. As he did, an alarm went off. “Reactors this time.” As his task completed, Yugi started running towards Reactors.

“Hello Tea, I trust you” Yugi said as they finally reached reactor. Joey and Bakura were already there, and Yugi and Tea ran up to the pads. Yugi clicked on the hand scanner, and the activity went back to normal. “Okay, back to my tasks,” Yugi said as he exited the room. I think I have one in electrical.” He ran down to the room, not seeing anyone on the way down there. He was about to approach his task when a dead body was reported.

“Bakura! Bakura! Explain yourself!” Joey yelled. Yugi looked at the screen and saw Tea’s dead body, and Joey seemed to know who it was. “Bakura! We were all at Reactor, Yugi leaves, I leave, I see you leave, and when I went back into reactor, Tea was dead! Explain yourself!”

“Look, I didn’t see what happened. I was doing another task in reactor, and that was covering up my screen! How do we know that you weren’t the one who killed her?”

“No! I left right after Yug did! It was you! I’m sure of it!” Joey rebutted as he casted his vote, followed by Bakura soon after.

“Serenity, where were you, just so we know?” Yugi asked.

“I was trying to get to reactor, but I still don’t know where everything is. I had arrows, but that was about it.”

“Okay, I believe that. And can I just say, Joey was with me near the beginning in Nav, and we were alone for a while. He could’ve killed me there and he didn’t. And finally, I’ve had trust issues with Bakura. He was staring at us when Joey and I were doing tasks, and he got Mai voted off, even though she was innocent. I really do think it’s him,” Yugi explained as he casted his vote.

“I told you, I was doing a task and didn’t see anything! I’m pretty sure Joey is self-reporting!” Bakura said.

“Serenity, it comes down to you,” Joey said. “Who are you going to believe, a killer, or your own brother who would never harm you?”

“Wow Joey, that just makes you sound even more suspicious,” Bakura said.

“Okay, okay. I think I know what’s going on. Earlier, Mai and I were in Medbay, she watched me do the scan thing. I did walk out before I saw her do her own scan, but she seemed pretty adamant that she did it. I believe Mai, and I’m pretty sure she was innocent, and you got her voted off. I’m voting for Bakura.” Serenity placed her vote and the score was Bakura with three votes, and Joey with one vote.

“…Crap,” Bakura said as the votes were shown.

“I TOLD YOU I WAS INNOCENT!” Mai screamed.

“I’m sorry Mai,” Joey said as Bakura’s spaceman was ejected.

“Oh wow, it was Bakura!” Yugi said as the victory screen appeared. “I’ll admit, I was sus of you, but then the back of my mind was saying ‘eh… I don’t know’.”

“I saw Bakura vent and I was about to turn and head for the button and then he killed me!” Tristan proclaimed.

“So wait, was Marik the other imposter?” Serenity asked.

“Yeah, I was,” Marik answered.

“That was risky, killing me right by lights when everyone was on their way there,” Duke said.

“I know, I was going to vent out of there, but then the body got reported before I could go anywhere. And no one saw me and couldn’t vouch for me, so I knew it was over for me.”

“I couldn’t even participate in discussions! I was the first one dead!” Mokuba said. “But I did get all my tasks done, and then I was just following Bakura the entire time.”

“I’m not going to forget any of this!” Mai exclaimed again.

“Oh man, that was a good game.” Yugi said. “Are you guys up for another round, same or different map?”

“I am! And let’s try another map,” Joey said. Everyone else agreed soon after.

Yami smiled behind Yugi. “I may have to give this game a try.”

“Do you want too? I can have you take control for this round.”

Yami shook his head. “I’ll watch one more round, and then I’ll give it a shot.”

Chapter Text

Starting the next round, Joey looked at his screen and saw that he was an Imposter, along with Mokuba. “Oh, interesting,” Joey commented. He started the round by going to the top of the lobby and faking the key task that everyone else was doing. He then walked over and faked the maze task, afterwards heading to the lava pit and faking the temperature task. “Okay, I’m actually gonna try to get a kill here,” he said to himself.

At that point, the lights went off. Joey ran through Vitals, into office past Admin, and out towards Weapons and Communications. Checking to see if no one else was around, and with the lights coming back on, he ran upwards. Once he was by Electrical, Marik was running by. As soon as he was in range, Joey clicked the ‘kill’ button and Marik was dead.
Joey quickly ran back over near a hole and jumped in. He was deciding where he wanted to vent to when the body was reported.

"I found a body!" Mai said as the meeting started.

“Okay, Serenity, I know it looks bad, but I really just want to be with you,” Duke said.

“Where was the body?” Tea asked as Serenity laughed a little.

“You know, Marik got caught last game, so I’m not surprised he was killed first,” Bakura said.

“Wow,” Yugi said as everyone started laughing. “Throwing him under the bus are we? Is it you again?” he asked.

“He left me to kill everyone last game, so I'm fine with this,” Bakura said. "Okay, I'm kidding..."

“Is it really you again, where was the body?” Tea asked again.

“Well, that was last game, but I’ll never forget,” Bakura said again. “Back when he was the devil!”

“Okay, this was above Communications,” Mai said finally able to talk. “To the right of Electrical fence.”

“I saw some people walk into Laboratory…” Tea said thinking about who she could clear.

“I’ve been with Serenity; we’ve been together like…”

“That’s what I was about say,” Serenity said. “Duke saw me trying to complete tasks.”

“We’re like… glue on a sandwich,” Duke finished. Serenity agreed.

“Tristan, what did you do this round?” Tea asked.

“I went down and I did the little maze thing, the light thing that you have to track, and then I went up and I did the… uh… switch next to the telescope,” Tristan explained.

“I saw you walk into Laboratory last, and that… it seems like you would cross paths with the body,” Tea mentioned.

“I did see Mai and Tristan do the lights with me,” Mokuba said.

“I will say, I did see Mai. Mai fixed it and I walked in too late and Mokuba walked in after,” Tristan explained.

“I just want to thank Serenity for not killing me as we hung out together for the first time in months,” Duke said.

“And shout out to Yugi for not stabbing me,” Bakura said. “Because I think he has something against me, so good stuff.”

Everyone started talking at once as the voting countdown was at ten seconds. “I’m gonna skip for now,” everyone said as they placed their votes.

“Is no one gonna comment on what I said about Tristan? Like, he could’ve crossed paths with the body?” Tea said at the last second.

“Eh, I don’t know, he seems like a good guy,” Bakura said.

“That’s a very big accusation to make on the very first round. It was just one body,” Tristan said.

“I’m just saying, I’m just saying,” Tea said as everyone vote to skip.

“I completed one task, so I’m just doing my job,” Duke said as the next round began.

Joey took a deep breath, glad no one caught on that he didn’t say anything that entire discussion. “Okay, we uh… got away with it,” Joey said as he ran with everyone into Office. “Well, that’s great.” Walking out, he soon made his way up to the Laboratory. “I don’t know what to do next…”

Joey walked down near the door that leads to decontamination. “I literally have no idea…” he kept saying to himself. “Let me just…” He hopped into the hole he was nearby. “No wait, this is a bad idea,” he said seeing that Tea was near one of the other holes. “Oh, okay,” he said as he looked at all the holes he could jump out of.

Joey jumped out of the hole near office, where he could see someone in decontamination. He took a peak inside, but there was no one there. “Oh, interesting,” he said as he walked back into Admin. “Someone just went out of there. Fascinating.” He walked out and was nearby Weapons and Communication. He walked around and saw Duke doing a task in Communication. Joey ran up and was about to kill him when an emergency meeting was called.

“Okay, someone called a meeting right as I clicked report,” Tristan said. Everyone then noticed who it was that got killed.

“No! Serenity!” Duke exclaimed.

“Okay, I was gonna say it was early on, and she just had to have died, so I clicked on the button because I just saw it on Vitals,” Bakura said.

“Tristan, you were over the body?” Tea asked.

“Yeah, it’s down in the bottom right next to where you match up the Specimen things,” Tristan explained.

“I’m still suspicious of Tristan after that round,” Tea added.

“Hold on, Mokuba, did you see anything?” Bakura asked again.

“I saw Mokuba come from that direction,” Yugi said.

“Mokuba went down there,” Bakura noted.

“I was down below, in the walkway between the Specimen and the area because I was trying to make sure no one came that way from bottom right,” Mokuba tried to explain.

“Tea, you just saw me do the Lava thing,” Tristan said trying to make his case.

“There is no way…” Bakura started, still on the Mokuba case.

“So I was between the doors at where Yugi was coming from,” Mokuba said trying to defend himself.

“No, Mokuba. There’s no way because I saw you going there,” Bakura said again.

“I was making sure nobody came from Serenity so whoever was above me got her,” Mokuba said again. Joey wanted to say something, but Bakura spoke up again.

“Came from Serenity? What do you mean? We didn’t even know Serenity was down there.”

“Well Serenity is the one that’s dead and Tristan just said he was over the body!” Mokuba said in a last-stitch attempt to make his case.

“Mokuba, I am so sus of you right now,” Yugi said as everyone started casting their votes, chuckling.

“I don’t like that,” Tristan said as more people casted their votes. Joey, who was quiet the entire time, wasn’t sure what to say or do, since it was clear that people were now against his imposter buddy.

“I… this is all my fault. I didn’t stick with Serenity…” Duke said in defeat. Joey then heard his name being called out.

“Joey, what were you doing? You’ve been awfully quiet,” Bakura said.

“No, I was up with Duke at the end there. Duke, who was approaching us while we were in that room?” Joey asked.

“Uh…” Duke started.

“Do you mean communications?” Mai asked, “Because that was me.”

“Okay, that was you?” Joey asked.

“Yeah I was coming in,” Mai said.

“I was in the complete opposite direction of that,” Tristan said.

“And where was Serenity’s body?” Joey asked. Someone was about to answer when Tristan spoke up again.

“I… I don’t like what Mokuba just said, but Tea is also throwing out heavy accusations against me, so I just have to…” he trailed off.

“Because I’m suspicious of you,” she replied.

“I… I’m voting for myself because it’s my fault Serenity is dead…” Duke said. Everyone started chuckling. “I should’ve stuck with her. Serenity, I’m sorry.” Everyone was still laughing as the votes were tallied up. One vote for Duke, one for Yugi, and four for Mokuba.

“Maybe he killed him?” Tristan said jokingly.

“You’re throwing your vote at Yugi, Mokuba?” Bakura asked.

“Wow,” Yugi said slowly as Mokuba was thrown into the lava, with a few people laughing.

“I guess we’ll never know,” Bakura said as the next round started.

Joey sighed, moving a little. “Okay, uh… oh, I’m the only one left in here,” he said as he moved past Bakura and headed down and out of office. He ran past Weapons and Communication.

“Duke, probably came up here,” he said going into Communication, where Mai was doing a task. Joey ran up and faked his task. Seconds later, Duke came running in. “Oh damnit, there’s the timer,” Joey said as he watched the countdown slowly. Duke then ran out, and Joey followed behind. Right as they made the corner towards office, Joey quickly killed Duke and ran away. He jumped into the hole that was nearby, and vented to the Storage area.

Popping out, he quickly ran back outside and ran over to the Laboratory. Tea passed by him going in the opposite direction. “Interesting,” he said quietly to himself. “I can try faking this,” he said as he stood on the scanner. Once he did, a body was reported.

“This was outside Weapons,” Tristan said.

“Where was Weapons again?” Joey asked.

“Bottom middle,” Tristan explained.

“Hey Mai…” Bakura started.

“No wait, Joey," Mai started, "Joey, you said you were following Duke last time and this time, right? So where did you go?”

“I went to do the thing with Duke,” Joey bluntly replied. Snickers were heard once he finished speaking.

“Duke’s dead now,” Bakura said.

“Yeah, he’s dead,” Tristan added.

“Yes?” Joey asked. “…And?”

“Did you kill him?” Bakura asked.

“No! No! …Maybe. He might have deserved it.” Joey could hear the others laughing as he continued his thought. “But I’m gonna say no.”

“Okay, I don’t know if he’s a genius or a moron…” Tristan said. Joey had to laugh along at that. “Tea, what were you doing?”

“I was finishing my sample task, and then…” she trailed off.

“I was actually up in the Medical area, wherever that is, top right-ish…” Others started to speak up when Tea suddenly spoke.

“I saw Joey there, I did see him there,” she said.

“Yeah, I was up there,” Joey agreed. There was a small pause.

“Oh wait a second,” Bakura started. “You have Tea and Joey confirming each other?”

“Can I point something else out?” Tea asked before Bakura could finish his statement. “I’ve been suspicious of Tristan for two rounds. He was over the body last round, he reports the body this round.”

“Yeah, because I’m doing my tasks, and the bodies are everywhere,” Tristan defended.

Bakura spoke up. “He went hard on Mokuba, so unless we don’t have the other guy yet… Mai, I have a question for you, you came into the room a little bit late…”

“We don’t know if Mokuba was bad,” Tea quickly threw out.

“Because I went straight to the Upload… I went to Communication to do my Upload where I left Joey and Duke…” Mai started.

“Why are you protecting Tristan, Bakura?” Tea asked.

“I’m… I’m feeling Tea or Joey,” Tristan said quickly.

“Because I think we got a bad guy already, I think we have one of them,” Bakura answered.

“We don’t know that!” Tea said back.

“I think it’s Joey,” Mai said as she voted for him.

“I’m voting Tea,” Tristan said as he voted for Tea. “She keeps accusing me, and I don’t like that. This is my defense!” Bakura and Yugi both voted to skip, while Joey still didn’t make any vote.

“I’m pretty sure we got the first guy correct,” Bakura said.

“Yeah, I think so too,” Tristan agreed as the round started again. “It’s Tea or Joey in my head…”

“…Okay then,” Joey said as everyone ran around again. “I have no idea what to do now,” he said with a small laugh as he exited the office back by Communications and Weapons. “Should I sabotage something?”

As Tea ran off, Joey stopped to look at his map of fake tasks. “Hmm… Oxygen?” He started heading in that direction, with Tea following close behind. The two of them entered the room with the tree, where Joey walked up and faked the wiring task in there. After a second, Tea ran out of the room.

“Okay, she might be going for the emergency meeting, I don’t know,” Joey said as he ran up the hallway towards Lights and Security. Joey then ran past Lights and outside by Reactors, going all the way back to the Laboratory.

“I have no idea what to sabotage. First time being imposter, and I don’t know what to do!” Joey walked into Lab and saw Mai by the telescope. Walking up to her, Joey killed her and ran towards the bathroom. He jumped into a hole and vented all the way down to Office. Joey walked up and left to the outside. The lights started dimming, and Joey ran back up to see if anyone else was up there. He walked up to lights and opened the door. He peeked inside, and stepped out. “Okay…” he said to himself. “Should I fix them…?”

He then saw Tea run up towards Electrical, and Joey quickly went in and killed her… right as Tristan passed by, door closing behind them.

“Oh, well… that’s a problem,” he said while chuckling to himself. He was still on a cooldown, and had no choice but to just follow Tristan and hope the body doesn’t get reported before he could try to kill him. “This is going to be an issue.”

Tristan finally got the door open and reported the body. Just as he did, an idea formed in Joey’s brain.

“This is Big-Brained time.”

“Okay…” Tristan stared, but before he could say anything else, Joey interrupted him.

“It was Tristan! I saw him do it! Oh my God, I saw him!” Joey yelled out quickly. “I literally saw him!”

No, no, no, no, no,” Tristan repeated. “Joey was at the door, he didn’t report anything, and then he came chasing after me thinking he could kill me again but didn’t realize there was a cool down.”

“No, I was actually stuck in there, the doors were locked down…” Joey tried explaining. Bakura then spoke up.

“No, I disagree. There were two people dead. Joey couldn’t have known that you can kill two people in one round.”

Oh… My… GOD!” Tristan screamed in the background.

“No… it doesn’t matter. I literally saw him kill him,” Joey said.

“YOU’RE LETTING THE DUMBEST PLAYER GET AWAY WITH THE SMARTEST THING!” Tristan yelled again.

“Wait, you gotta remember. Tea confirmed Joey was on the top right and now Tea’s innocent,” Bakura said. “It’s you, and I was with Yugi a lot this round.”

"No, no, no! And Tea’s screaming at the computer right now because she accused me so much!” Tristan said again.

“Okay, so she’s screaming and look, if I’m wrong then at least…” Bakura started saying before Joey spoke up again.

“I literally saw him do it!” he said with a small laugh in his voice.

“Oh my fucking God,” Tristan said as he placed his vote.

“Yugi, you trust me, right?” Bakura asked.

Yugi laughed. “Oh God, You’re the last person I trust.”

“We’ve been hanging out for so long,” Bakura said as he placed his vote. Joey finally voted for the first time in this game for Tristan as Yugi continued laughing.

“We definitely got one of them, since there’s four of us,” Tristan noted.

“Oh, I hate to do this Tristan,” Yugi said. “I hate to do this.”

“OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU MORONS!” Tristan yelled again.

“I hate to do this too because he helped get the other guy… so I don’t fucking know at this point!” Bakura said with a laugh.

“Oh my God, you guys got played so hard!” Tristan said as the votes were tallied, one for Joey, three for Tristan.

“I don’t know,” Yugi said with another laugh.

“Joey, don’t you be lying to us,” Bakura said.

“Joey, I swear to God…” Yugi said as Tristan got thrown into the lava.

“And now he’s gonna gloat about it for days, you’re welcome,” Tristan said annoyed.

“Is this… is this big brain?” Yugi asked.

“Uh…” Joey stared before everyone muted.

“How do I do this?” Joey saw that he had a cool down, so he decided to follow Bakura the entire time. As the lights went out (Joey figuring Mokuba was the one who did that), Bakura headed towards Electrical. Joey followed behind. Soon, Yugi caught up with them as the three went in. Once the lights were fixed, Yugi and Bakura headed back out, most likely heading towards the button. Joey ran up behind Yugi and swiped at him, ending the game with an imposter victory.

“I can’t believe that worked,” Joey said. “I can’t believe it.” Everyone was laughing in the background.

“He admitted to killing Duke!” Tristan yelled.

“I was pointing so many fingers at Tristan, and Bakura was ‘protecting’ him so I thought…” she said before laughing again.

“Joey totally lied! The first round, he and I weren’t hanging out together at all. I was so confused, I didn’t say anything. I was thinking… was I with him?” Duke said.

“Joey, I locked those doors for you so you had a chance to lower your cooldown with Tristan,” Mokuba said.

“I appreciate that,” Joey said. “Wow, Tristan saw me kill, and we’re both in this room and I’m like ‘Oh God, thirty seconds, what am I gonna do’?” Everyone laughed in response.

“I was like, oh he can’t kill me I’ll report the body,” Tristan added.

“I still can’t… my lies were terrible, and everyone still believed them! I said I killed Duke!” Joey said.

“Your lie was so bad, I believed it!” Duke said.

“And I was Third imposer for sure. I owe Tristan an apology,” Tea said laughing. “Everything was just pointing towards Tristan.”

“Okay, that was fun though. I’m ready for another round,” Joey said.

“I have to go. I wonder if I can get Seto to play a round or two,” Mokuba said.

“I’m going to let Yami play a round too,” Yugi said. “He said he’s ready to play.”

Marik laughed “Oh he is? This is going to be interesting.”

Chapter Text

Yami was sitting in front of the computer with Yugi sitting next to him. “Ready for your first game of Among Us?” Yugi asked.

Yami chuckled. “As ready as I’ll ever be.”

“I’m still shocked that Kaiba’s joining us this time,” Tristan said.

“You guys are in big trouble if my brother is the imposter this time!” Mokuba said proudly.

“Look, I only agreed to play this game because Yugi and I made a deal,” Kaiba said.

“Let me guess, Yugi said he’d duel you if you played this game?” Tea asked. There was no response from Kaiba, which caused everyone to laugh.

“…Shut up,” Kaiba said quietly.

“Do you need me to go over the rules for you?” Bakura asked.

“No!” Kaiba said quickly.

“I already explained the rules to him, so we’re good,” Mokuba said.

“Geez, can ya tell moneybags to calm down. I’m ready to vote him out already,” Joey said.

“Joey, the game hasn’t started yet,” Duke said.

“We’ll see about that, mutt,” Kaiba said.

“Hey, how about we start the game, that sounds like a good idea,” Tea said quickly, trying to put a stop to the arguing.

“Alright, we’re starting,” Mai said as the countdown began.

“Good luck everyone,” Serenity said as the game started. Yami’s eyes widened a little when he saw the Imposter screen, and then he looked at the other Imposter.

“You and Kaiba?” Yugi asked. “Oh, this is going to be good.”

“Agreed,” Yami said as the round started and everyone started running around. Yami walked over to the Download tasks and faked it. He saw Tea, Tristan, and Mai walk into Weapons. “I might leave the killing this round to Kaiba,” Yami said as he ran down Cafeteria and into Admin, where he once again faked his Upload task. Bakura walked in and started doing his card swipe task. “…Although.” Yami then walked over and sliced Bakura. He quickly ran to the vent nearby and hopped in.

Looking at his options, he decided to vent back into the Cafeteria and walk over to Weapons. Serenity was at asteroids, and Yami walked down towards Navigation when an alarm started going off. “Oxygen,” Yami said as he headed towards the room. He walked in and saw Mai at the panel. Tristan was coming out from Navigation. Suddenly, a body was reported.

“Hmm, interesting,” Duke said as the discussion started. “Bakura’s body was found by the card swipe task on Admin table.”

“Where did everyone end this round?” Yami asked. “I ended in Oxygen with Mai, and Tristan was coming out of Navigation.”

“I did see you guys fixing the Oxygen,” Tristan said.

“I was about to fix it in Admin and then I saw the body,” Duke said. “Also, Joey’s dead too.”

“I saw him going towards Electrical, I stayed back in Storage to do my gas task,” Tea said.

“Okay, where was everyone else?” Yami asked.

“I was doing a task in Shields, and then I ran into Storage when the Oxygen went off,” Mokuba said. “I was heading to Admin to fix it, but Duke beat me to it."

Kaiba and I were on the left side in Reactor,” Serenity said. “I was in the middle of doing the task where you have to repeated the buttons when Oxygen was called.”

“That one’s a pain in the ass,” Duke said. “Kaiba, what were you doing over there?”

“I was in Reactor too, doing another task. Then I went down towards the Lower Engine, wanting to go into Electrical to do more tasks, and then the body was found,” Kaiba responded.

“Hmm, why didn’t you head to Oxygen when it went off?” Tea asked.

“I figured the dweebs would take care of it, and it looks like I was right,” Kaiba responded.

“Tea, you said Joey was going to Electrical last time you saw him?” Tristan asked.

“Yeah, so I assume his body is in Electrical somewhere. I was filling up the Lower Engine when Oxygen went off. And I did see Kaiba coming down, so his story checks out,” Tea explained.

“Hm, going to Lower Engine… you didn’t sneak into Electrical and kill Joey, did you?” Duke asked.

“No I didn’t. I was in Lower Engine doing my gas task, Kaiba can vouch for me, right?” Tea asked.

“…Sure,” was Kaiba’s response.

“Okay, I’m going to skip, but I’m putting some sus on Tea,” Tristan said as he placed his vote.

“It’s not me,” Tea said as she placed her vote. A few others voted after her.

“I’m going to put a little sus on Kaiba for not fixing Oxygen when it went off. At least Serenity had an excuse,” Tea said.

“I’m just glad I finished that task before the body was called,” Serenity said.

Yami voted to skip, which is what everyone else voted to do as well. “I think we should start grouping up, this way we can know who was with who if anyone else dies,” he said.

“I’m staying with Tristan, he was on the right with me the entire time,” Mai said as the next round began.

“Okay, I think the plan this time is to not kill anyone this round. I need to gain trust from everyone,” Yami said as he followed Serenity into Medbay. She started her Medbay scan while Yami faked the vial task.

“Are you going to try and marinate her?” Yugi asked.

Yami chuckled. “You really know me, partner.” As Serenity finished her scan, Yami followed her out of Medbay and back into Cafeteria. The two walked into Weapons, seeing Duke walk up and into Cafeteria.

“Okay, I hope Kaiba can get at least one kill this round,” Yami said as he walked into Navigation. Serenity was doing a task, and Yami faked another task next to her. Deciding to help Kaiba, Yami switched off the lights.

“Okay, this should help Kaiba get a kill,” Yami said as Serenity left Navigation and headed south. Yami followed her. Due to his imposter vision, he could make sure he was still close to Serenity when the lights went off.

As the two were entering Storage, the lights came back on. Mokuba was running to the gas task. Yami and Serenity were about to run past him when a body was reported.

Everyone heard a gasp from Tea. “Okay, okay! Everyone!” she started saying as the discussion started. “Guys! If you can see someone right now, they are not the one who killed Mai! I literally just saw the vent flap, but I couldn’t see who it was that went in there!”

“Where was she?” Yami asked.

“This was in Electrical in the back by the vent. The lights were off and after we fixed them, they were just coming back on when I saw Mai’s body, and I saw the vent flap! This kill literally just happened, the killer is in the vent, so if you can see anyone, they didn’t do this kill,” Tea explained.

“I was with Yugi the entire time,” Serenity said.

“We were, and I was worried I’d lose you when the lights went out, but I found you,” Yami said.

“I saw the two of them in Storage when the lights came back on. I was doing my gas task,” Mokuba said.

“I saw Duke come into Electrical, and then I had the light panel up, so I wasn’t sure if anyone else came in. When the lights were back on, Duke ran out to the hallway. That means I’m sus on Tristan and Kaiba,” Tea said.

“I was in Admin doing my card swipe at the end of the round,” Tristan said.

“I was by Security doing my wires task, and then I was going to stay on Cameras to see if I could find anything,” Kaiba said.

“Nope, one of you is lying,” Tea said. “I saw the vent close and then reported the body, meaning the killer was in the vent at the end of the round. And right now, Kaiba said he was by Security, and guess what? There’s a vent in there that connects to Electrical.”

“Well then it wasn’t me, because I was in Medbay when the lights went out, and I went through Upper engine and down by Security. That’s when they came back on, and I was starting my wire task.”

“Tea, how do we know this isn’t your kill and a self-report?” Tristan asked.

“No, I saw the vent close. I went to the back after Duke and I fixed the lights, and I saw Mai’s body and the vent close as the lights came back on. Like I said, this kill just happened, like a second ago!” Tea said.

“Duke, can you confirm this?” Yami asked.

“…Honestly, I left after the lights came back on, so I have no idea what happened in the back,” Duke said.

“I know who I’m voting for,” Tea said as she placed her vote. “I literally just saw this happen, and from all the information I have, I have an idea of who it is.”

“Hmm, I still don’t trust you Tea,” Tristan said as he casted his vote.

“Real quickly, I want to hard clear Serenity. She was doing her Medbay scan and I saw her,” Yami said as he placed his vote to skip.

“He did, thank you,” Serenity said as she placed her vote. Everyone else placed their vote and the final tally was four to skip, one vote for Kaiba, and two votes for Tea.

“Duke! You’re going to believe in Tristan!?” Tea asked.

“I don’t know!” Duke said.

“It’s not me!” Tea said as the next round began.

Yami chuckled a little as he ran down into Admin to check the Admin table. “You’re doing really well as Imposter,” Yugi said.

“Thank you.” He sighed a little. “Kaiba isn’t going to like this, but I think the safest kill is Mokuba. If we can get enough sus on Tea, maybe she can be voted out.”

“Sounds like a plan,” Yugi said. Yami ran out and went into Storage. He headed towards Electrical, passing by Tristan and Kaiba. He went inside and was about to head to the back when an Emergency Meeting was called.

“Okay, I’m not happy about that last vote,” Tea said as the discussion began. “We’re going to try this again, and I need everyone to give as much information as they can about the last round!”

“I don’t see the point of dwelling on this,” Kaiba said. “We already have all the information we need.”

“No, we don’t! Tea said. “I’m going to calmly explain what happened. The lights went out, I went to Electrical to fix the lights. Duke was there when they were fixed, and he left out the door. I went to the back of the room, saw Mai’s body, and I very briefly saw the vent close, meaning the imposter was in that vent when the body was reported. I asked everyone to tell me who they could see, which means this kill wasn’t Duke, Yugi, Mokuba, Serenity, or myself. That means it’s either Tristan or Kaiba. One of you was lying about where you were at the end of the round. Both of you, give me your exact paths last round.”

“Okay,” Tristan started. “I started that round by going to Upper Engine to do a task there. Mai passed me, and she headed south. I then went into Reactor to do the number pad task. Once I was done with that, I walked back into Cafeteria. I saw Duke pass by me, and then the lights went out. I saw Duke running towards lights as they turned off, and I was scared that the killers would be around there for a kill. So I went down into Admin so I could do my card swipe. I just finished it when the lights came back on, and then the body was found.”

“I did see Tristan right before the lights went out,” Duke said.

“Then you can confirm that I went to Admin!” Tristan claimed.

“…I didn’t see you after that, so I can’t confirm whether you did or not,” Duke said back.

“Kaiba, what was your route?” Tea asked.

“I started in the Cafeteria, doing the garbage task. I then walked into Medbay to start my sample task. I didn’t see Yugi or Serenity, so I’m assuming this was after they left. The lights went out, and I left Medbay, went to Upper Engine, and ran by Security. I did my wires task outside, and then I went on Cameras to see if I could catch the killer before the lights came back on, and then the body was found,” Kaiba explained.

“…Wait, you went to Medbay before the lights went out?” Tristan asked.

“…Yeah, what’s your point?”

“I never saw you enter. I was in Upper Engine, so I should have seen you, right? Or am I just being dumb?” Tristan asked himself.

“Do you really want me to answer that for you?” Kaiba asked. “You must have just missed me.”

“Serenity, Yugi, did either of you see Kaiba walk into Medbay?” Tea asked.

“I didn’t,” Serenity said.

“Me neither, but he could’ve been somewhere else when we were there. We were there at the very beginning, and Kaiba said he was doing another task before he went into Medbay,” Yami said.

“My sus is on either Kaiba or Tea,” Tristan said.

“Why am I still on your sus list!?” Tea asked.

“I still think that could’ve been a self-report! And I’m still sus from the first round!” Tristan responded. “I’m voting for Tea again!” he said as he placed his vote.

“What!? You literally have no evidence!” she exclaimed. “I might vote for you this round just for that!”

“You and your imposter buddy can vote for me, but all you guys are doing is outing yourselves,” Tristan said as Tea placed her vote.

“I have no idea what’s going on!” Mokuba said. “Are we voting for someone or not?”

“We’re on seven, and there’s still two imposters!” Tristan said. “We should vote for someone at least.”

“Okay,” Mokuba said. “But I have no idea who to vote for!”

“Me neither!” Serenity added. “Someone is lying, and I don’t know who!”

“It’s not me Serenity!” Tristan said. “I swear! It’s either Tea or Kaiba and I’m leaning more towards Tea. I already voted for her, so…” Kaiba then placed his vote. “Who did you vote for?”

“Who do you think?” was Kaiba’s response.

“I’m voting for whoever my brother is voting for!” Mokuba said.

“Well then, I voted for Tea.”

“What!?”

“Okay, then I’m voting for Tea too!” Mokuba said as he placed his vote.

“Tristan is playing you guys so hard right now! I’m thinking it’s him and Kaiba!” Tea said.

“I vote for Tea last time, but I think this time I’m voting for Tristan,” Duke said as he placed his vote.

“Yugi, Serenity! It’s not me!” Tea said. “I think it’s either Tristan or Kaiba! Please vote for one of them!”

“Okay, I know who one of them is,” Yami said as he placed his vote. “I’m hoping we can catch the second one after this.” The voting ended, and the final tally was three for Tristan and three for Tea.

“Wait… how did we tie if there are seven of us?” Tea asked.

Serenity gasped. “Oh no, I forgot to vote! I ran out of time!”

“Oh, this is bad,” Mokuba said. “Everyone, get your tasks done as quickly as you can! Ghosts, you guys need to move!”

“I’m finished with my tasks, so I’m going to try to catch one of the killers!” Duke said as the next round began.

Yugi was laughing during the entire meeting, trying his best to keep quiet. “I’m loving all this chaos!” he said.

Yami chuckled. “I think we need to kill either Duke or Mokuba. Or… It’s a little risky, but we can try to kill Tea and blame Tristan for it, or vice-versa.” Yami walked over to Security and went on Cameras. “Okay, Kaiba is with Mokuba over by Navigation.”

“Kaiba wouldn’t kill Mokuba, and I think he’d be pretty upset if you killed him,” Yugi said.

“Mokuba was pretty adamant on following Kaiba, so we might be able to use that to our advantage,” Yami said. An alarm sounded as Reactor was called. “Oh, were right here,” Yami said as he got off Cameras and ran into Reactor. “Might as well make myself look good.”

He saw Tea and Duke enter Reactor as he went to the top hand. Duke and Tea went to the bottom, and the Reactor was fixed. “Okay, now that that’s done…” he walked over and faked the number pad. Tea and Duke left and headed towards Electrical.

“What to do…” he said to himself as started heading towards Electrical.

“I wonder if Kaiba got a kill already?” Yugi asked. Yami walked past Electrical and into Storage, stopping at the gas tank to fake a task. He saw Duke and Tea doing a dance around the entrance to Storage from Electrical, presumably being sus about each other. Yami walked over and joined them as the lights started to go out.

Yami then quickly sniped Duke, but Tea doubled back and the body was reported. “Oh boy,” Yami said as the discussion started.

“Wait… Yugi?” Tea asked.

Yami laughed. “Tea, I just saw you double back and kill Duke as the lights were going off.”

“Okay, it’s Yugi.”

“No. After I fixed Reactors, I went down to Storage to finish gas because it’s my last task, and I briefly saw the two of you by the entrance. The lights went off, and as they were almost off, I just saw Tea running away, and Duke’s body fell. This literally happened a second ago.”

“Where were you before the Reactor call?” Serenity asked.

“I was on Cameras.”

“Oh, it was you on Cameras,” Mokuba said. “I was wondering about that.”

“Guys, it’s Yugi. I was with Duke that entire time.”

“I don’t believe you, because Tristan was accusing you and was on to something and now he’s dead,” Kaiba said.

“It’s Yugi and Kaiba then. Vote Yugi out first, and then go for Kaiba,” Tea said as she casted her vote.

“I don’t think so, because Big Brother was with me for that round, and he never killed me,” Mokuba said.

“I’m done with my tasks and so I was protecting you from the killers,” Kaiba said. “Anyways, this is self-report,” he said as he placed his vote.

“I saw Yugi kill Duke! It’s him and Kaiba!” Tea said again. “That means Kaiba was the one who killed Mai and was hiding in the vents in the previous round!”

“You’re still holding onto that? I think Tristan was onto something that round, and you did it again this round,” Kaiba said.

“I saw Tea kill him, she thought I wouldn’t see because the lights were going off, but I saw the split second she killed him,” Yami said as he placed his vote.

“I was with Yugi for a majority of the game, and he never did anything to me…” Serenity started. “But I didn’t see him do that many tasks…”

“I was finishing my gas task when I saw this,” Yami said. “I was able to confirm you. If I was imposter, I wouldn’t say anything and instead try to put sus on you, but I didn’t.”

“Yeah, but… oh I don’t know at this point!” she said with a small chuckle.

“I’m voting!” Mokuba said as he casted his vote. “Serenity, it all comes down to you!”

“Oh no…” she said. “And I can’t skip either…”

“I saw Tea kill, and Tristan put a lot of sus on her, and now she’s dead. That’s enough information to deduce that she’s an imposter,” Yami said.

Serenity took a deep breath. “Okay… I’m gonna… I’m gonna vote!” she said as the final votes were tallied. Tea and Serenity voting for Yugi, while Yami, Kaiba, and Mokuba voted for Tea.

“Well, we just lost,” Tea said.

“Oh no, did we?” Serenity said.

“Yep, but you did vote right," Tea replied.

“I didn’t even know Kaiba killed Tristan. That actually helped a lot,” Yami said with a chuckle.

“That was risky move Yugi,” Kaiba said as Tea was ejected. A second later, everyone unmuted as the victory screen showed, with Yami and Kaiba standing tall.

“Okay, no one suspected Kaiba when I was one of the first ones killed?!” Joey asked.

“I was thinking the same thing,” Yami said.

“Can I present Tristan with the Third Imposter award?” Bakura said.

Tristan sighed. “Fine. I owe Tea an apology.”

Tea laughed. “I forgive you… for now.”

“Mokuba, you can’t always be agreeing with Kaiba for everything,” Mai said. “You brother killed me right in the middle of my task.”

“Yeah… I guess so,” Mokuba responded. “When did you kill Tristan?”

“When you were in Navigation. I walked back up and got a snipe kill on Tristan. I walked back to you and was grateful that you went down to Shields instead of Oxygen to get to the Reactor,” Kaiba explained.

“Oh wow, that was sneaky,” Mokuba said, “But I’m glad you got to play a round with us!”

“Hmph, that wasn’t half bad, and I got to kill the mutt. That was satisfying,” Kaiba said.

“HEY!” Joey yelled.

“Anyways Yugi, meet me at Kaibaland at eleven tomorrow for our duel!” Kaiba said as he left the game.

Yugi laughed as Yami smirked. “I’ll be ready… after a few more rounds.”

Chapter Text

“Alright, let’s not get killed this time!” Tea said as the game started. On the screen, she saw that she was an imposter, along with Serenity. “Oh, this is gonna be interesting,” she said.

Looking at the fake bar task, she saw that no one had keys this game. So Tea started walking down as a few others, including Serenity, went up to do the Navigation task. Tea walked into Storage and stood by the gas task. She pulled up the Sabotage map.

“Okay, what should we start with?” she asked herself. “How about the lights.” She clicked on the button and the lights started going out. She exited Storage and saw Duke running past her. Tea quickly ran up to him and killed him.

“Okay, get out of here!” Tea said as she quickly ran into Storage and hopped into the hole that was in the corner. She hopped back out from the hole in the Office by the Button room. As she ran past Admin, she saw someone was in Decontamination. She ran outside and passed Communications when a body was reported. Tea unmuted as the discussion started.

“Duke’s body was over by Storage!” Bakura said.

“Mai, what were you doing in Lab? You almost came in, and then you doubled back out,” Yugi asked.

“I thought I had a task in there, but it was actually the drill thing in the room next to it,” Mai said.

“Who fixed the lights?” Serenity asked.

“I did,” Noah said. “I was doing my first Wire task in there and when the lights went out, I went and fixed them, and Joey came in afterwards.”

“I was by Vitals this round, and I saw Duke dead on there when the lights were out. So it wasn’t a recent one,” Tea said. “I did see someone in Decontamination, who was that?”

“Oh, that was me,” Mokuba said.

“How could you see anyone in there when the lights were out?” Joey asked.

“You can see the animation when someone’s in there, even when the lights are out. You just can’t see who it is,” Tea explained.

“Oh… right,” Joey said sounding defeated.

“Tristan, where were you?” Yugi asked.

“I was in Oxygen, and I was heading up to fix the lights when they went out, but they got fixed, so I went back to that tree room to do the task in there,” he answered.

“I still wonder if Mai doubled back and killed him when she exited Lab,” Yugi wondered.

“No I didn’t. Once the lights went out, I walked into Lab to see if I could catch anyone in the act, since I knew you, Bakura, and Serenity were in there,” Mai said.

“Tea, you said you were by Vitals?” Mokuba asked.

“Yes, I was,” Tea responded.

“Because I did my Card Swipe and I didn’t see you at all. But then again, the lights went out.”

“I got there when the lights were still off, so it’s possible you didn’t see me, because I didn’t know you were in there. I couldn’t see you,” Tea explained. “I saw Duke was dead on Vitals, and then I was running past Admin when the lights came back on.

“I’m skipping for now,” Yugi said as his vote was placed. “But I’m still suspicious of Mai.”

“I’m thinking it could’ve been Tristan. He could’ve been lying about his location,” Mai said as she placed her vote. A few others placed their vote as well.

“Serenity, where did you go when the lights went out?” Bakura asked, placing his vote.

“I was still on the telescope task, and I started heading towards lights when I was done, and the lights came back on when I just got out of the lab, and so I started my Weather Node task,” Serenity explained as she placed her vote.

“Alright, everyone get your tasks done,” Tea said as she voted to skip, along with everyone else.

“Sorry Duke. We’ll find out who did this to you!” Serenity said. Tea swore she heard Tristan mumble something under his breath, but it didn’t matter now as everyone muted.

“Okay, let’s get this out of the way,” Tea said as she ran up with everyone doing the card flip task. “Alright, that’s done, now… Let’s go to Specimen.” Tea said, running down and past Admin into the Decontamination, along with Bakura. The two stayed away from each other as the door opened and the two ran down the hallways into the room. Tea walked up and started faking the sorting task, while Bakura was doing his Download task.

Tea was about to walk up to Bakura when Joey came down from the top and ran over to do his Number Pad task. “Crap,” Tea said to herself. She walked over and started faking the Simon Says task when an alarm went off. Joey ran off to the Admin Decontamination, and Tea quickly ran to Bakura, who was now heading up towards Lab Decontamination, and killed him.

“Oh… that might not have been a good idea,” she said as she ran back up towards Decontamination. As the door opened and she waited, the alarm stopped. “That got fixed quickly,” she said. The other door opened, and Tea walked into Lab. She didn’t see anyone in there. She walked up to the Sample task, just in case anyone walked in.

Suddenly, an emergency meeting was called. Tea unmuted as the discussion started.

“Okay, I have something I need to say!” Joey said.

“Wait, two people died this round!” Mokuba exclaimed.

“Yep, I saw it on Vitals, and I have some suspicions for one of them! Bakura is dead, and the last person I saw him with was Tea down in Specimen!” Joey said. “What do you have to say for yourself?”

“Okay,” Tea started. “I know this looks suspicious, but here’s what happened. I did see you and Bakura down there when I was doing my tasks. I started the Simon Says task when the Reactor went off. I saw you leave, and then I saw Bakura leave too. So, I can clear Joey for his kill, but I think someone came down from Lab and killed Bakura, because that was where I saw him going towards.”

“Hmm…” Joey hummed slowly.

“I think someone was up in Lab, and they killed him either in Decontamination, or when he just got in there, because I was in Specimen for the entire round,” Tea said.

“Well I have no idea now, since Mai is also dead, and she was my only suspect,” Yugi said.

“Okay, let’s try this. Is there anyone who can hard clear anyone else?” Noah asked.

“I still have to do my Medbay scan if anyone wants to join me,” Mokuba said. “Then I can hard clear someone else if anyone else has that.”

“Okay, but can anyone else hard clear anyone?” Noah asked. There was silence, and Noah spoke up again. “Okay then, thanks for the information everyone.” A few people laughed at this. “Who saw Mai last?”

“I saw her going towards Electrical, but that’s all I know,” Tristan said. “I didn’t see her when we were fixing the Reactor.”

“I fixed the left Reactor, but I didn’t see her,” Serenity said.

“I fixed the right one,” Yugi said. “And Noah was there when I was done. I was doing the Weather Node and was about to switch it on when the meeting was called.”

Tea sighed in relief in her head. She could’ve been noticed by Yugi if Joey was a second or two late. “Okay, and Joey, when did you see these two bodies fall, before or after Reactor?”

“They were both after the Reactor, but that’s all I got,” Joey said.

“You know, by pressing the button, and not finding the bodies, we have no idea where they are,” Noah said.

“I think Bakura might be up in Lab, because I saw him heading up there when I was doing my task,” Tea said.

“And I saw Mai heading towards Electrical,” Tristan said. “And she didn’t come up to fix Reactor, so either she was down in Oxygen, or someone killed her before she could get up here… and Serenity fixed the left reactor.”

“But I came from Cams, and I didn’t see Mai anywhere, so she might have passed me, and when the Reactor went off, I left Cams to fix it.”

“That still seems like you would have encountered her at some point,” Noah said.

“No, I didn’t see her at all, she must have died in Oxygen or something!” Serenity said. Tea could start hearing desperation in her voice.

“…Okay, but I’m still putting you on my sus list,” Noah said as he placed his vote. “And as for Bakura’s death… I’m thinking either Joey or Tea.”

“What!? But I was the one who called the meeting!” Joey said.

“Yeah, I don’t think it was him, unless he vented somewhere,” Tea said.

“True, but you also hid the body, so we don’t know exactly where he is.”

“Do you really want more people to die!? There were two dead on Vitals! All of us could have died there, and I want to catch the killers before anything else happens!” Joey said.

“Calm down Joey!” Yugi said. “We’ll figure it out!”

“I’m voting for Tea. She was the last one to see Bakura before he died!” Joey said as he placed his vote.

“I told you he left when I was doing my Simon Says task, and I stayed in Specimen the entire time! I have no idea where he was when he died, and so I’m assuming he’s in the lab,” Tea said as she placed her vote to skip.

“I still don’t know,” Mokuba said as he placed his vote. “It could be Tea, but still…”

“I know it looks bad, but I swear it wasn’t me,” Tea said.

“Okay, I’m going to skip for now, but keep an eye on Tea everyone!” Noah said as he placed his vote. A few others placed their vote afterwards.

“Are we sure we want to skip on seven?” Tristan asked.

“We don’t know for sure who the imposter is, and if we get the wrong person, they have the advantage,” Yugi said.

“…Fine,” Tristan said as he voted. The final tally was Joey voting for Tea and everyone else voting to skip.

“I’m watching you Tea,” Joey said as everyone muted and the next round began.

“Okay, watch out for Joey,” she said to herself as she followed a couple people into Oxygen. When she got there, she went into the tree room and faked the task in there. Joey walked into the room with her. “Maybe I shouldn’t kill anyone this round, gain an alibi,” Tea said.

Pulling up her Sabotage map, she clicked on the Lights button, and the lights started dimming. She ran out of the room, and saw Joey trailing her. “Okay, if he’s going to follow me everywhere, then I really can’t kill anyone this round,” she said as she walked into Electrical. Tea decided that she would fix the lights, and once she did, the lights came back on, and she saw Tristan and Serenity coming in the room.

“Okay, I don’t know if she killed anyone,” Tea said as she ran out of Electrical, with Joey behind her. The two ran back down into Office, Tea noticing that someone was on Cameras. Running into Office, Tea went to Vitals and checked them out.

“Okay, she killed Mokuba,” Tea said. Joey must have seen it as well, because he followed Tea up to the Lab entrance. When they did, a body was reported. Tea unmuted as the discussion started.

“Okay, Mokuba’s body was in Storage, by the gas tank,” Yugi said.

“I can clear Joey for this, because we were together that entire round, and he was with me when the lights were fixed,” Tea said.

“Right… I can clear you for this kill… but I’m still suspicious,” Joey responded.

“I did notice something weird,” Tristan said. “I was on Cameras, and at first there was no one there, but then when I looked again, I saw Yugi in Lab by the drill thing. He just kind of appeared there. And I know there’s a hole nearby…”

“Oh no, it was lag. I went in there from the lab,” Yugi said.

“Well, we have to vote someone out this time. The killers only need a double kill to win,” Noah said. “And going off of all the information I know, I think Tea is one of them.”

“We’re still going on wit this? I told you it wasn’t me!” Tea said.

“I’m voting for her too!” Joey said.

“I also think it could be Serenity, because she’s been acting a little sus, and she’s been quiet for a lot of these meetings,” Yugi said.

“Because I don’t have a lot of information,” Serenity said. “I feel like I haven’t seen a lot of people this game, and when I do see others, they don’t do anything super suspicious.”

“I don’t know about you sis, but I still think one of them is Tea, and so that’s who I’m voting for,” Joey said as he placed his vote.

“And I’m saying that if you vote for me, you’re going to lose, because then the killers will only need one kill!” Tea exclaimed.

“I’m going to vote for Serenity,” Yugi said. “I think she’s one of them, and isn’t saying anything about it,” Yugi said as he placed his vote.

“Hmm, I think I will too. Sorry Serenity,” Tristan said, placing his vote.

“Hold on guys!” Noah said. “I do think Serenity is sus, but I think we’re safer voting for Tea because there’s more information on her, and she still could have gotten Bakura’s kill.”

Serenity placed her vote. “Who did you vote for Serenity?” Tea asked.

“I voted for you. I agree with everyone else that you’re suspicious,” she said.

Tea was about to say something else, but then she stopped. 'Hold on a second. Noah, Joey, and Serenity voted for me. Yugi and Tristan voted for Serenity.' Tea’s eyes widened and she let out a small gasp. 'That means!'

“You should just vote for yourself Tea,” Joey said. “We caught you red-handed!”

“You know what, I’ll do it! I’ll vote now,” Tea said as she placed her vote for Serenity, tying the votes between her and Serenity.

“What!?” Joey asked.

“You did not!” Noah said.

“Oh crap, we’re doomed,” Tristan said.

“Stay by the button everyone!” Tea said with a small laugh in her voice as everyone muted and the next round started.

“Okay, we got this. We just need a double kill, and we need to call the sabotage at just the right time.” She looked at how much time was left on the meeting cooldown. “Okay, so let’s call the Reactor in three… two… one!”

Tea clicked on the button and the alarm started going off. She ran out of the button room, with Serenity following her. Tea saw a few others following them. When they passed Communications, Tea started heading to the Left Reactor, and she saw Serenity going to the right.

“Okay, we can do this,” Tea said as she walked up to the hand and waited. “Where are they?” she asked. The countdown on the Reactor was ticking, and it was a few seconds later that Joey walked up to the Reactor. Tea quickly killed him and ran down the stairs.

“Serenity! Quick! Get a kill! Get a kill! You can do it! Get a kill!” Tea said quickly.

When nothing happened, Tea started getting worried. “Please don’t come over here…” she said. She gasped when she saw Serenity coming back towards her. “What’s going on?” she asked, starting to panic.

Suddenly, Yugi walked up to them, and Serenity ran over and killed him, ending the game with Tea and Serenity appearing on the screen in victory. Tea sighed in relief as she unmuted.

“That was a close one! My heart was bounding that whole time!” Tea said. “Nice one Serenity!”

“I told you guys! And no one listened to me!” Joey said.

“You guys were on the mark with my death!” Bakura said. “As soon as I saw Tea running towards me, I was like ‘yep, it’s her’ and then she killed me.”

“I was so nervous that entire game,” Serenity said. “Every time I killed someone, I thought I was going to get caught right away!”

“You won though, so I’m proud of you sis,” Joey said.

“I was glad I managed to tie the vote!” Tea said.

“We kind of walked into that one,” Noah said. “I told you guys we were safer voting Tea.”

“I was wondering if we could get another kill when I killed Mokuba,” Serenity said.

“That’s a risky place to kill… but at the same time, there’s a vent there, so you could just hide in there until the body got reported,” Mokuba said.

“I’m still upset I was the first one killed!” Duke said.

“Maybe next time,” Yugi said with a small chuckle.

Tea exited out of the game. “Anyways, I have to get going. GG Serenity,” Tea said.

“Same,” Serenity said back.

Chapter Text

“Okay guys, how do we feel about changing the map?” Yugi asked.

“I’m up for it. Is it the one we haven’t done yet?” Serenity asked.

“Yep!” Yugi said. “There are different tasks on this one, and there’s a thing where you can check the sensors and see who passed by at certain locations.”

Tristan stretched his arms as Yugi kept explaining the map to people who haven’t played on it. He had played on the map a few times, and while he preferred the other maps to this one, he felt like this map did have its advantages, like the vents for example.

“Are we all ready?” Tea asked.

“Ready!” Mokuba said.

“Okay, everyone’s here. I’m starting up the game. Good luck!” Yugi said. Tristan muted up as the game started. He looks at the screen and saw that he was a crewmate.

“Aw man. Can I be imposter at least once?” he asked as the game started. He checked his map, noticing that he didn’t have any tasks in the starting room. He saw a few people walking over to do tasks as he ran out and down the hallway. He pulled up his map again, wondering what task he should start with.

“Alright, let’s go into Reactor first.” He ran up past Medbay, into the locker room, and opened the door to Decontamination. Yugi was with him as they ran through Decontamination, and the top door opened. The two ran into Reactor. Tristan ran over and started his number pad task. After that task was done. He ran over and saw Yugi doing his assembling the gem task.

“Okay, he’s doing that task,” Tristan said slowly as he ran over and started his sorting task. After putting the bones, leaves, and gems in their respective boxes, the Reactor alarm started going off. “Oh hey, I’m already here,” Tristan said as he ran over. Yugi also ran with him. The two stood on either side of the Reactor and placed their hands on the pad, stopping the meltdown.

“Okay, now what should I do?” Tristan asked, pulling up his map. Suddenly, a body was reported. Tristan unmuted as the discussion started.

“Tea’s body is down by Weapons, under the Cafeteria,” Bakura said.

“Oh, Joey is dead too!” Mokuba said.

“Before we start talking about this, I just want to say, it’s really easy to get a lot of kills in one round on this map, just because it’s smaller than the others. So we have to be kind of quick if we want to win this as crewmates,” Yugi said.

“I one time saw the imposters win on this map in two rounds,” Noah said.

“Oh wow, that’s fast,” Mai said.

“Okay, so Tea was over by Weapons?” Duke asked. “Who saw her last?”

“I only saw her at the beginning doing a task where we all spawned in,” Tristan said. “I went up to Reactor with Yugi and haven’t seen anyone else this round. We were the ones who fixed the Reactor.”

“I can confirm that,” Yugi said. “And right now, I think I can clear Tristan if there were two deaths… but if those deaths were one person… then it could still be Tristan.”

“Nah, I can clear both of us. We could’ve killed each other at any moment, and we didn’t.”

“Alright, we should be good then,” Yugi said.

“Who saw Joey last?” Serenity asked.

“I saw him going up towards the upper area, where Admin, Electrical, and Oxygen are. I didn’t see anyone else head up there though,” Bakura said. “I was in Cafeteria doing tasks in there and I went down to do my Weapons task and I found Tea there.”

“Hmm,” Duke said. “Bakura, are you sure this isn’t a self-report?”

“No, it’s not. I was running down the hallway and saw Joey heading North, and then went down to Cafeteria. I didn’t even see Tea during that entire time. When the Reactor went off, I was already in the Cafeteria doing tasks. I’m thinking there was someone else in the room with us.”

“Alright… so where was everyone else?” Mai asked.

“I went back to the beginning of the level because I had tasks to do there,” Noah said. I didn’t see anyone around there though.”

“I did see Joey run past me when I was doing a task in Admin. He was running into Oxygen, but that was the last I saw him,” Duke said.

“…I have nothing right now, I’m skipping,” Noah said as he placed his vote.

“I have Medbay scan if anyone wants to clear me,” Bakura said as he also placed his vote.

“I can clear Yugi, but that’s pretty much it,” Tristan said as he placed his vote to skip. A few others placed their votes as well.

“…Good meeting everyone,” Mokuba said with sarcasm in his voice. “Everyone, get your tasks done,” he said as he placed his vote. The final tally was everyone voting to skip.

“Mokuba, you were quiet throughout that entire meeting,” Yugi said.

“I didn’t really have any information to give. I didn’t see a lot of you this round,” Mokuba said as the next round began. Tristan muted and pulled up his map.

“Alright, I have two tasks here.” He walked up to the trash chute task and pulled down the lever. Once that was done, he went down to just outside the storage room and fixed his first wiring. As he did, the lights started going out.

“Oh, that’s not good,” he said as he left the wires and started heading North. He got to the area where the three hallways meet when the lights finally came back on. He ran into Electrical and saw Noah, Yugi, Mai, and Serenity there.

“Are there any dead bodies around here?” Tristan asked as he walked into Admin and looked around. “…Nothing,” he said slowly as he went to the card task and entered the card code 34626. Once he did, he left Admin and went back south.

Suddenly, a body was reported. Tristan unmuted as the discussion started.

“Real quick, who was there at lights?” Yugi asked. “I saw Noah, Mai, and who else?”

“I was there!” Serenity said.

“And I got there at the end and saw everyone leave,” Tristan said.

“Okay, and where was the body?” Yugi asked.

“Mokuba’s body was on the Medbay scanner. I was going there to do my Medbay scan, because I said I would do that task last meeting in case anyone wants to confirm me, and his body was right there.”

“Well, considering that everyone was at Electrical fixing the lights… Duke, where were you this round?” Yugi asked.

“I went to Reactor to do tasks up there, and then when the lights went out, I ran back down into Decontamination, and then I walked out, and went into Communications to see if I could see anything on the sensors, and then the body was reported.”

“Communications is right above Medbay, and I didn’t see you coming from Reactor at all,” Bakura said.

“The lights were out, so of course you weren’t going to see me. I didn’t see you either. I’m sorry I missed a body, but I didn’t see anyone,” Duke said.

“Well… it could be someone in Electrical that joined us at the last minute to look innocent. Right now, I only trust Yugi and Tristan since they were cleared for those first two kills,” Mai said. “So, I’m also sus on Noah and Serenity.”

“I was up in Oxygen watering the flowers before the lights went off,” Serenity said.

“Did anyone see her getting the watering can from Storage?” Mai asked.

“I got it last round, so I didn’t have to go there this round,” Serenity explained.

“I did see Serenity heading that way earlier in the round,” Yugi said. “Do we have any other leads?”

“I still think it’s Duke,” Bakura said as he placed his vote.

“It’s not me. If everyone else was up by Electrical, then I think Bakura’s self-reporting,” Duke said as he also placed his vote.

“Oh great, it’s between the two of them, isn’t it?” Tristan said, rubbing his forehead. “I don’t know who to vote for… I kinda want to skip.”

“Should we be skipping on seven?” Mai asked. “This map is pretty small, remember?”

“I think we could skip, but we’ll have to keep an eye on Duke, and if even the slightest of suspicious things happens, we call a meeting,” Noah said as he placed his vote.

“Or we can all stick together, and if anyone else decides to stray away, we vote them out. That way it’s harder for the imposter to kill someone,” Yugi said as he also placed his vote.

“I’m sticking with you Yugi,” Tristan said as he placed his vote to skip. A few others placed their votes as well.

“Please let this be the right choice,” Serenity said as she placed her vote. The final tally was two votes for Duke, one vote for Bakura, and four votes to skip.

“Wow, okay!” Duke said. “You’re really going to believe Bakura?”

“Because I know it’s you!” Bakura responded as the next round began. Tristan muted as the next round began.

“Okay, time to really think about this,” he said. Checking his map, he saw that he still had a lot of tasks left. “Do I even want to finish my tasks? I feel like I’m going to die either way!” He sighed and ran over to Yugi, who was doing his vending machine task.

“Eh, might as well stick with Yugi for now,” he said as Yugi finished his task and ran North, with Tristan following him. They ran up to Admin, where Yugi started doing another task. Tristan walked over and looked at Admin table.

“Alright, nothing too much going on here.” Once he got out of Admin table, the lights started going out. “Oh here we go again.” He ran over to Electrical and up to the panel. He flicked the switches and the lights came back on.

“Alright, I’m gonna go back, and see if something happened.” He ran out and went to Admin. Seeing nothing in there, he ran out and walked back down the hallway.

“I might go button and see if-“ Suddenly, as he approached the Cafeteria door, he saw someone pop out of the vent that was right next to him.

Tristan gasped loudly. “OHHHHHHHHHH! NO! NO! NO! DON’T KILL ME! BUTTON!” he said frantically as he ran down to the button table, with the imposter hot on his trial.
Right in the nick of time, Tristan approached the button and called a meeting. Tristan unmuted and started speaking quickly and loudly.

“I know who it is! I know who it is!” Tristan exclaimed.

“Mai’s dead!” Serenity gasped.

“Yeah, but we can still get one of the imposters out! I was running down from Admin to see if there were any dead bodies, and guess what I saw? I saw DUKE! He hoped out of the vent, and chased me down trying to kill me! But I got here just in time!” Tristan said, pride evident in his voice.

“Well Duke, do you have anything to say about this?” Yugi asked. There was a moment of pause before Duke finally spoke up.

“Can you go into the vent?”

Everyone started laughing, even Duke was chuckling. “Alright then, we’re voting for Duke!” Tristan said as he placed his vote for the imposter.

“Real quick, did anyone see Mai last?” Noah asked.

“I only saw her at the beginning of the round,” Serenity said. “She was heading towards Reactor last time I checked.”

“Was there anyone else near that area?” Noah asked.

“…I don’t think so,” Bakura said.

“…You don’t sound convinced. Did you see someone go in that direction?” Noah asked as he placed his vote.

“No, I didn’t,” Bakura said as he also voted. “Anyways, we’ll get one of the imposters out right now, but I’m still keeping an eye out for the other one.”

“So, we’re all voting for Duke?” Yugi asked.

“Yeah, he vented in front of me,” Tristan said as Yugi placed his vote.

“Wait a second, I haven’t even said my peace,” Duke said.

“Alright, you have ten seconds, defending venting,” Tristan said with a laugh. Everyone else was also waiting to hear Duke’s defense.

“…I don’t know how to do it.”

Tristan stared laughing, followed by everyone else. “Oh man, I should have taken my vote back,” Tristan joked as everyone finished placing their vote. The final tally was Duke voting to skip, and everyone else voting for Duke.

“Aw man, my first time as the imposter, and that had to happen,” Duke said as he was dropped from the ship.

“Better luck next time,” Tristan said as everyone muted and the next round started. “Alright, at least we have one imposter out.” He opened his map, looking to see which tasks he still had. “Alright, let’s do this one,” he said as he ran down and over to the weather balloon task. As he started the task, he started thinking about who the other imposter could be.

“Right now, I trust Bakura, since he was also pushing for Duke. Serenity. I think I trust her too. So it’s between Yugi and Noah… But I was able to clear Yugi for those first kills. Which leaves only Noah.”

Once he finished the task, he opened his map again. “Oh, I have to go back to the Reactor. Great.” He ran up into the Cafeteria, and into the hallway. He ran up and over, passing Communications and into the locker room. He stopped at the doors to Decontamination, where he saw Noah on the other side.

“Hi Noah…” he said as the door opened. As Tristan went inside, it was only a second when he was Noah open his mouth and stab him. Tristan’s ghost flew over his body as Noah hopped into the vent that was nearby.

“Well, I should have seen that coming.” Tristan said as the Oxygen alarm started going off. He unmuted for the other ghosts.

“Hi Tristan,” Mokuba said.

“Hey guys. I just got a revenge kill,” Tristan said as he flew up and did his last set of wires.

“That was so unfortunate for Duke,” Tea said.

“Yeah, it was. I almost had you too. When I saw you pass by, my only thought was that you had to die,” Duke said as the alarm stopped.

“Too bad!” Tristan said as he started laughing.

“How many of you still have tasks?” Mai asked.

“I’m done with all mine,” Tea said.

Tristan pulled up his map. “I still have one more up in Oxygen.” He flew up to Oxygen, where he saw Serenity running to do the watering flowers task. Tristan flew over and did his filtering task.

“Uh… I still have all my task… hehehe,” Joey said quietly.

“What the- What have you been doing this entire time?!” Tristan asked.

“I was watching Noah. I wanted to see who he was going to kill,” Joey said.

“Get your tasks done! Or else we’re not going to win this game!” Mai exclaimed.

As Tristan finished his task, he saw Serenity running down, and so he followed her. “I’m gonna stick with Serenity for the rest of the game now that my tasks are done.”

“Hey, what about me!” Duke asked as his ghost floated over to them.

“I was here first!” Tristan exclaimed.

The two ghosts followed Serenity as she ran into Admin to enter her card code. The two then saw Noah running up and before the two knew it, they saw him swipe Serenity and run into Electrical.

“No!” both Tristan and Duke said as they saw Serenity’s ghost flying over her body.

“Wait, why are you upset?” Mai asked. “Noah could win this. He only needs one more kill.”

“But not Serenity!” Duke said.

“Hi guys!” Serenity said as she unmuted for the ghosts.

“Serenity!” Joey exclaimed. “I’m sorry that good-for-nothing imposter killed you!”

“Joey, that’s how you play the game. You had no issue when Serenity was the imposter with me,” Tea said.

“That’s different!” Tea was about to respond when a body was reported. Tristan muted as the people still alive started discussing.

“Okay, I found this over by Admin table,” Bakura said.

“Oh… wait… okay, I think it’s Noah,” Yugi said.

“Why me?” Noah asked.

“Because I’m pretty sure it isn’t Bakura because he was the first one to suspect Duke, and because the game didn’t end, he was right about him. And I know it isn’t me, so that leaves only you,” Yugi explained.

“I’m thinking along those lines too… But maybe it could be you Yugi, and you could be secretly laughing to yourself and putting all the blame on Noah.”

“I think that is what he’s doing, because it isn’t me,” Noah said. Tristan could hear the desperation in his voice, and he knew that there was no way Noah was winning this.

“No it isn’t. I’ve been susing Noah all game, and I haven’t said anything because we were all focused on Duke, but Noah was also quiet for most of the game, and he wasn’t going all out on Duke when he was clearly the imposter. Also, Tristan cleared me in the first round from those two kills!” Yugi explained.

“And you’ve been quiet during this game too. Duke must have gotten both of those kills because you were too busy marinating Tristan,” Noah accused. Tristan saw Bakura placing his vote. “Bakura, who did you just vote for?” Noah asked.

“I voted for Yugi,” Bakura said.

Tristan almost spit out the soda he had started drinking. “What!? Bakura! What are you doing!?”

“What?” Yugi asked.

“Yeah, I voted for you,” Bakura said. “Vote for who you think the imposter is.”

“I’m voting for Yugi too, this game is over,” Noah said as he placed his vote. Tristan though he heard something in his voice, but he couldn’t figure it out.

“You guys are going to throw the game. If you both voted for me, then we lost! I was cleared first round, remember?” Yugi said. “I’ll still vote for Noah, but we…” Tristan saw the tallies, and breathed a huge sigh when he saw two votes for Noah, and one vote for Yugi.

“Oh, thank God,” Tristan sighed.

“Oh… Bakura… we’re you joking?” Yugi asked.

“Of course I was,” Bakura said. “There’s no way Noah is winning this one.”

Noah sighed as he was dropped from the ship. “Yeah, I should’ve killed Bakura instead, since he was pretty much clear, and so was Yugi, but I wanted to try to get everyone in one go.”

Tristan unmuted as the victory screen appeared for him. “Bakura, you really had me going there for a second!” Tristan said.

“Yeah, what was that for?” Joey asked.

Bakura chuckled. “I just wanted to have a little fun. I think Florence would be proud of me for that deception.” Tristan could imagine the spirit getting flustered at the mention of that name.

“Hey, Bakura. You should let Florence join us for one game,” Noah said.

“Yeah, I think he would like this game, since it involves killing everyone…” Duke said, trailing off a little.

There was an awkward silence before Bakura spoke again. “Alright, he’ll play, but only if we stop calling him ‘Florence’.”

“Well then… what do we call him?” Tristan asked.

“…I have no idea!” Bakura said chuckling.

“This can only go so well,” Mokuba said.

Chapter Text

“Alright guys, we’re shaking things up a little!” Tea said. “This time, we’re going to be playing with Proximity Chat!”

“What’s that?” Serenity asked.

“It’s still the same game, but this time instead of being muted, we can talk to each other outside of meetings, but only if you’re next to someone else,” Tea explained.

“Oh, I get it.”

“Why do I have a feeling this is only going to generate more chaos?” Mai asked.

“That’s the entire point,” Mokuba said. “We need to spice things up a little.”

“I’m ready to try it out,” Bakura said.

“Hey, I thought Florence was playing with us this time,” Duke asked. He clearly remembered Bakura saying something like that last time.

“He’s… uh… not in the mood today. He’ll play next time, I promise,” Bakura said.

“Maybe I can get Seto to join us again. He can never say no to me,” Mokuba said with a chuckle. “Anyways, are we all here?”

“I am!” Yugi said. “And to add on to you guys, I’ll have Yami join us again next time.”

“…What can possibly go wrong?” Noah asked. “Anyways, can you start the game Tea?”

“Sure, is everyone’s settings correct?” After getting everyone’s response, the countdown began. “Alright, and we’re playing on Mira again, so good luck.”

Duke watched as the game began and the screen showed him as a crewmate with everyone else. Unlike the previous games, he could hear people talking as the map appeared.

“Okay, we’re beginning!” Joey said. “I’m totally an imposter guys, so stay away from me!” There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

“Oh, I’m so scared,” Mai said as she ran down with a few others, who were talking amongst themselves. Duke ran over and started his gas task. Once he filled up the tank, he ran down and into the hallway. “Okay… where’s Serenity? I feel safe when I’m with her.”

“Duke?” Duke’s character stopped at hearing the new voice. A second later, Tristan’s character ran up to him. “What did you just say?”

“I said that I’m looking for Serenity,” Duke said.

“Well, what if I’m looking for Serenity too?” Tristan asked.

“Well too bad, I’m finding her first!” Duke said as he ran into Medbay, with Tristan following him. Yugi was on the scanner when they got inside.

“Uh oh, are either of you here to kill me?” Yugi asked. “Can you at least let me finish my scan first?”

“I’m not gonna, I’m only looked for Serenity,” Duke said. “And she’s not here, so I’m out. See ya!” Duke then ran out of Medbay and into the hallway again.

“Hey, you’re not gonna find her first! Not if I kill you first!” Tristan yelled.

“I knew it! You’re gonna kill me!” Duke said as he ran down into the cafeteria. As he did so, the Reactor alarm started going off. “Oh come on! He’s going to kill me!”

Before he knew it, Duke found himself being chased around the table by Tristan. The entire time, he had been yelling for someone to turn off the Reactor so he could call a meeting. Tea then ran up from the Weapons task.

“Uh… what are you two doing? Why aren’t you fixing the Reactor?” she asked.

“He’s gonna kill me and then go after Serenity!” Duke exclaimed.

“Actually…” Tristan stopped by the button. “I’m not, I just wanted to scare you into leaving me and Serenity alone. I don’t have the ability to kill.”

Duke was silent for a second as the alarm finally stopped. As soon as it did, Duke hit the button and called an emergency meeting.

“Oh, someone killed Noah,” Bakura said as he saw his character x’ed out.

“Alright, we’re all going to vote Tristan out right now,” Duke said.

“What!?” Tristan exclaimed.

“Why? Did you see him vent or kill or something?” Mai asked.

“No, but he threatened to, and that’s good enough for me.” As soon as the voting began, Duke placed his vote for Tristan.

“Wait, wait, let me explain,” Tristan started. “Duke and I were both trying to find Serenity, and I said I would kill him as a joke, but I can’t kill, and now he wants to vote me out over it!”

“Wait a sec, why are you two looking for my sis?” Joey asked.

“Isn’t it obvious? I need to protect her from the imposters,” Duke said. “I let her die before, and I’m not going to have it happen again!”

“Well, the fact that you let her die in the first place means I should be the one protecting her,” Tristan said.

“No way!”

“Alright you two! Enough!” Tea said. “You two can figure that out on your own, but if there’s nothing else to say, then I’m skipping!” Tea said as she placed her vote.

“Was there even a point to this meeting?” Mokuba asked.

“We can try to make a point. Did anyone see Noah last?” Bakura asked.

“No, Joey and I went up to Reactor when it started going off. We didn’t see him at all,” Yugi said. A few others placed their votes.

“Serenity, who do you want to be your bodyguard?” Tristan asked.

“What are you trying to do?” Duke asked.

“How about we let Serenity decide who she wants to protect her?” Tristan asked.

“…Um,” Serenity started saying.

“Here’s an idea, how about neither of you!” Joey said.

“And how are you gonna stop us?” Duke asked. “…Unless you’re the imposter.”

“I’m not,” Joey said as he placed his vote. “But hey, if I vote one of you out, then that means you two can’t fight over Serenity.”

“Now wait a sec!” Duke started.

“Anyways, I’ve had enough of this meeting,” Mai said as she placed her vote. The final tally was Duke and Joey voting for Tristan and everyone else voting to skip.

“Oh come on!” Tristan exclaimed. “Even you Joey?”

“I’m watching you two!” He exclaimed as the next round began.

As a few of them ran off while chatting with each other, Duke and Tristan ran over to Serenity. “Hey, Serenity, over here!” Duke said as he ran towards the Weapons task. Serenity and Tristan both followed him.

“What’s up?” she asked.

“Who do you want to be your bodyguard, me or Tristan?” Duke asked. “Think about this carefully.”

“Pick me,” Tristan said.

Serenity walked in between them and Duke could hear her giggling a little. “How about both of you be my bodyguards,” she suggested.

“…Fine, I guess we can work with that,” Duke said. He then saw that he had the Weapons task, and decided to knock it out since he was here. “Can I do this task first?”

“Sure,” Serenity said.

“Get it done quick! Someone could come in here and kill us!” As soon as he finished speaking, the lights went off. “Aahh! Serenity! Are you still here!?”

“I am!” she replied.

Duke shot the last asteroid and exited the task. “Serenity, Tristan, are you guys still here?”

“Still here!” Serenity said.

“Same!” Tristan said a second later. After another second, the lights came back on. “Okay, we’re all still here.”

“I’m going to lights!” Serenity said as she started running back up to Cafeteria. “Follow me you two!”

“Coming Serenity!” Both Duke and Tristan said. As they reached the top of Cafeteria, Bakura ran past them.

“Hello!” He said.

“Hey, keep away from the girl!” Duke said. “We’re protecting her, and we’re not going to let you kill her!”

“Oh, well I can’t anyway,” Bakura said as he ran away from the trio.

“Alright Serenity, we were heading up to lights?” Duke asked.

“Yep!” Serenity said as the trio ran into the hallway, up and into Electrical. Once they arrived at the lights panel, the three ran around Electrical.

“Alright, we’re up here, so what do we do now?” Tristan asked. As soon as Tristan asked his question, Bakura came running back into Electrical.

“Hey! You can’t come any further!” Duke said. He and Tristan stood between Serenity and Bakura. “You’re not allowed anywhere near Serenity!”

“I’m not going to do any-“ Bakura was in the middle of talking when a body was reported.

“You weren’t going to do what?” Duke asked.

“I was going to say anything,” he finished.

“…Do I want to know what’s going on with you guys?” Tea asked. “Anyways, I found Yugi’s body in the hallway under Decontamination.”

“I can clear myself, Tristan, and Serenity for this kill. We were together the entire round,” Duke said. “And none of you better think of trying to kill Serenity because me and Tristan are her bodyguards!”

“Bodyguards, both of you!?” Joey exclaimed.

“…Really, is there anything you two won’t do for her?” Mai asked.

Both Duke and Tristan were silent. “…Not for me!” Duke finally said.

“Hey, I was just about to say that!” Tristan exclaimed.

“Guys! Yugi’s body was dead by Decontamination! I think we have more important things to talk about rather than Serenity’s bodyguards!” Tea said.

“In that case, I say Bakura is the guilty one! He tried to attack Serenity this round!” Tristan said. “Duke and Serenity are both hard cleared, and Bakura…”

“I told you I wasn’t going to do anything,” Bakura said.

“Right,” Duke said.

“I don’t believe you,” Tristan added.

“…Okay, so from what I’m gathering from the ‘informative’ meeting is that the killer is either Joey, Mokuba, or Mai,” Tea said.

“It ain’t me! I’d never kill Yug like that!” Joey said. “I think it was Mokuba!”

“No way, I was in the Office and Oxygen this whole round doing tasks,” he replied. I saw Duke, Serenity, and Tristan passing me and going into lights, and then Bakura joined them a moment later.”

“Then where were you, Mai?” Tea asked.

“I was in Reactor, however, Yugi was leaving Reactor when I last saw him. Someone was waiting for him at the bottom of Decontamination. How do we know this isn’t a self-report, Tea?”

“It’s not a self-report, and I’m suspicious of you Mai since you were near Yugi last.”

“You’re wasting your time, hon,” Mai replied as she placed her vote.

“Well, I’m confused. Between this and the whole bodyguard thing going on, I have no idea what’s going on,” Mokuba said as he also placed his vote.

“Serenity, who are you voting for?” Duke asked.

“We’ll vote with you,” Tristan said. Duke could hear Joey sighing.

“I’m actually going to skip,” Serenity said as she placed her vote. Duke quickly placed his vote to skip, and he saw Tristan placing his vote as well.

“…At this rate we’re never going to find out who the imposters are,” Bakura said.

“If anyone attacks Serenity, then we’ll know,” Duke said.

“Right!” Tristan added.

“…So we’re not going to talk about Yugi’s death anymore? Is that it?” Tea asked. “Bakura’s right. We’re all gonna die.”

“Everyone except us and most importantly Serenity!” Duke said.

“…I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to be finishing my tasks,” Mokuba said as he placed his vote.

“I’d like to have a talk with you two ‘bodyguards’,” Joey said as he placed his vote. The final tally was one vote for Mai, one vote for Tea, and the rest voting to skip.

“Great meeting guys,” Tea said, sarcasm in her voice. “We’ll let someone else die before we figure out who the imposter is.”

As the next round started, Duke and Tristan ran back over to Serenity. “Alright, where are we going next? Lead the way, Serenity!” Duke exclaimed.

“You three are staying right here!” Joey said as he ran over to the group. “I’m going to be the bodyguard protecting my little sis from her ‘bodyguards’,” Joey said. “You three aren’t going anywhere under my watch!”

“Oh come on man,” Tristan said. “We’re not going to hurt her. I’m not an imposter.” Tristan then turned to Duke. “You’re not an imposter, are you?”

“No, I’m not.”

“Good.” As soon as Tristan spoke, Duke saw Serenity run towards the supply closet, and he chased down after her. “Hey, where are you going? Where’s Serenity?”

“She ran in here!” Duke said as he ran into the supply closet. Within a second later, he found Serenity at the end. “Hey, what are you doing back here?”

“This is where the watering can is, right?” she said. Tristan and Joey ran inside and met up with them.

“Oh… yeah,” Duke said. “Well anyways, we’ll all be safe in here… unless there’s an imposter among us.” As soon as he finished his sentence, the lights started going off.

“Uh oh! Is everyone still here?” Tristan asked.

“I’m still here!” Duke said.

“If any of us die, then we know at least four prime suspects,” Tristan said.

“You mean three suspects!” Joey said. “I still don’t trust any of you, and I know I’m not an imposter!”

“Well then, we’re just going to have to… wait, Serenity? Are you in here?” Duke asked. There was no answer. “Serenity?”

The lights came back on, and Duke, Tristan, and Joey were the only ones in the Storage room. “Hey, where did she go?” Tristan asked.

“You two must have drove her away!” Joey said. “If she ends up being dead, I’m going to personally ask the imposters to kill you two next!”

“We’ll find her!” Duke said as he ran out of the room. Tristan and Joey were close behind. Duke ran down to the Weapons area and looked around. “I can’t find her in here,” he shouted. He ran back up in the cafeteria, where he saw Tristan running around.

“She’s not in here!” Tristan said. As soon as Duke and Tristan were about to head north, a body was reported. As the meeting started, Duke breathed a sigh of relief.

“Serenity! You’re alive! Thank God!” Duke said.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Sorry I left you guys-“ As Serenity spoke, Mai and Tea both interrupted her.

“It’s Mai! Vote her out! She just killed Mokuba!” Tea yelled.

“No, it was Tea all along! She was just trying to get everybody off her trail, but she self-reported all of the bodies she found,” Mai said.

“I saw her kill! She killed up at the Greenhouse! I was already suspicious of her for the previous kills, but now I know for sure it’s her!” Tea said again.

“No it isn’t! You thought you could be clever by self-reporting and trying to shift the blame to others, but it isn’t going to work!” Mai said.

“I was literally talking to Mokuba asking him if Kaiba will ever play another game with us, and he died before he could answer,” Tea said. “And I saw you running away within the corner of my eye as you did!”

“Well too bad we can’t ask Mokuba if that’s true or not,” Bakura said.

“We weren’t near any of this, Tristan, Serenity, Joey and I were all in the Storage closet and the Cafeteria this whole round, even when the lights went out,” Duke said. “But we did lose Serenity at one point…”

“Not important right now! We need to vote Tea out!” Mai said as she placed her vote, most likely for Tea.

“No, we need to vote Mai out!” Tea said as she placed her vote, most likely for Mai.

“Well great, now were at a stalemate here, and you two are distracting me from not only doing my tasks, but figuring out who the imposters are,” Joey said. “How about you two stay away from my sis and we can beat this game?”

“Why, so you can kill her?” Tristan asked.

“Man, betrayed by her own brother,” Duke said. “Just another reason why she needs our bodyguard services!”

“Will you two stop it already!?” Tea asked. “Mai literally killed in the middle of my conversation with Mokuba!”

“No, Tea’s the one who killed!” Mai said.

Bakura could be heard groaning. “Alright, I’m voting for Mai just because Tea’s story sounds more believable,” he said as he placed his vote.

“What!?” Mai shouted. “No way you’re voting for me when it isn’t!”

“Well, I just did,” Bakura said back. “Now we’re just waiting for all of you guys.”

“Well, I was making sure these two behaved, so I have no idea who it could be, but I also don’t want to vote for Mai so…” Joey said, and he placed his vote.

“Thank you, Joey,” Mai said sweetly.

“Oh now wait a second, when you do something for someone you love, it’s fine, but when we do something for someone we love, it’s a bad thing?” Tristan asked. He then placed his vote after a second pause. “In that case, I’ll vote your sweetheart out!”

“Hey!” Joey exclaimed.

“God, this is a disaster. Serenity, Duke, what are you two going to do?” Tea asked.

Duke placed a hand on his head, trying to think of what to do. He knew he already did this once before, but he couldn’t think of another option. “I’m going with whatever Serenity wants.”

“Really!?” Joey exclaimed.

“Serenity hasn’t even had a real chance to speak!” Tristan said. “Serenity, who do you think it is?”

“Um… I have no idea to be honest,” she said with a small laugh. “I’m going to skip,” she said as she placed her vote.

“Alright, I’m skipping too,” Duke said as he placed his vote to skip. The final tally was Serenity and Duke skipping, Joey and Mai voting for Tea, and Tea, Tristan, and Bakura voting for Mai.

“This game is so stupid, but at least we got an imposter out,” Tea said.

Mai could be heard sighing. “We’re all going to lose,” she said as she fell through the air. As the next level began, Joey spoke up.

“Can the imposters kill either Duke or Tristan next?” he asked as Tea and Bakura ran out of Cafeteria and into the hallway.

“Hey! You said you wouldn’t do that unless Serenity ended up dead,” Tristan said.

“I’m done with this bodyguard nonsense. The only person who will protect my little sis will be me, and that’s final!” Joey said.

“Guys,” Serenity said. “How about we go up to the office, and we can talk about things up there, I have a few tasks in there.”

“…I don’t think I’ve done any of my tasks,” Tristan said.

“I’ve only done a few,” Duke said, looking at his task list.

“At this rate, we’ll never get a task win,” Joey said as the group ran up the hallway and into the office, when they got in there, Serenity ran up to Admin table, and the others gathered around her. Suddenly, the lights started to go out.

“Uh oh, Serenity, are you still here?” Duke asked.

“Yeah, I am,” Serenity replied.

“I’m going to fix the lights this time,” Tristan said. Duke couldn’t see Tristan running across the hall into lights, but he trusted him this one time.
And now he had some alone time with Serenity, except for…

“Aw man,” Joey said. That was all Duke heard from him before the lights slowly came back on, revealing that Duke and Serenity were still in the Admin room…

…And Joey’s dead body was next to Serenity.

Duke’s eyes widened a little. “…Oh,” was all he could say.

“Alright, I’m back, what did I… oh,” Tristan said when he came back from fixing the lights. Serenity started giggling a little.

“Um… okay, uh… This changes things,” Duke said.

“Duke, I think our client isn’t who she says she is,” Tristan said.

“Yeah, you think?” Duke said. “Though that does explain why the kills were slow this game.”

“Wait, was Mai the other imposter or something?” Tristan asked.

“Yeah, she was,” Serenity answered.

“Sooooo,” Duke drew out. “How are we gonna do this now?”

“Well, we’re already committed this round, so we might as well-“

Suddenly, Bakura ran up to them. “Guys?” And a second later, Duke watched Serenity lunge and kill Bakura.

“I… don’t know what we should do now,” Tristan said. A second later, Tea came running up towards the group, and paused when she saw what was going on.

“Uh, you guys mind telling me why there are two dead bodies on the floor and neither of them are being reported?”

“Uh, funny story actually,” Duke said. One of the bodies was reported, and the meeting began.

“Well if none of you will report the bodies, then I will. The imposter is one of you guys, and now I need to figure out which one of you it is,” Tea said.

Duke, Tristan and Serenity were all silent for a few seconds. Finally, Tristan spoke up. “I think Duke and I need to have a discussion with our client here.”

“What?” Tea asked.

“Yeah, nothing against you Tea, but the three of us need to be the last ones standing. It’s… official bodyguard business,” Duke said.

“Bodyguard business? Really?” Tea said. “From the way you two are acting, I feel like you guys know more than what you’re saying.”

“I mean… we kind of do?” Tristan said. Serenity could be heard laughing a little.

“And you kept it from us this entire time, didn’t you?” Tea asked.

“Well, we actually didn’t know until this round,” Duke said truthfully. “Though I did have this feeling in the back of my mind for a while…”

“Yeah, and like I said before, the three of us need to talk about where to go from here so…” Tristan then placed his vote.

“Wait, who did you vote for?” Duke asked.

“I voted for Tea,” Tristan replied.

“What!?”

“…Alright, I will too,” Duke said as he placed his vote for Tea.

“Wait a second, what’s going on!?” Tea asked. “Why am I getting votes all of a sudden. All I asked was why you guys we’re reporting the bodies. And I helped get Mai out, and she was the other imposter! Otherwise, the game would have been over!”

“Oh, we all know you’re not the other imposter Tea,” Tristan said. “I’m really sorry it came down to this but…”

“But what?” Tea asked as Serenity placed her vote. “Wait, did all three of you vote for me?”

“I voted for you,” Serenity said. “I think you should place your vote, since you’re not going to be winning this round. I’m really sorry.”

“I’m so confused here, but it doesn’t even matter, does it?” Tea said. I’ve still got about thirty seconds; you guys have that amount of time to explain what is going on!”

“Ummmmmm…” Duke said, trying to let the time run out.

“Well?” Tea asked. “I’m waiting.”

“Sooooo…” Tristan started saying, also trying to run the timer out.

“…I’m not going to get any kind of explanation, am I?” Tea said. She placed her vote with the final tally was Tea voting for Serenity, and everyone else voting for Tea.

“Alright, so Serenity is the other imposter and we’ve been protecting her this whole time. We didn’t find out until this last round, and now the three of us need to have a serious discussion about what to do now. I’m sure you understand why we need to vote you out, right?” Duke asked.

“…You guys suck,” Was all Tea said as she fell through the sky. As the next round began, Duke, Tristan, and Serenity stood next to the meeting table.

“Alright, so where do we go from here?” Duke asked. “I mean, we could try to finish our tasks and get a crew win, or we can let Serenity kill one of us so she can get the imposter win.”

“I think it’s only fair that since we protected her from nothing, and we neglected our tasks, we don’t deserve to have a victory,” Tristan said. “We’ll let Serenity win this round.”

“Really, but I only killed two people,” Serenity said.

“Yeah, but because we were always around you, Mai had to do most of the killing all by herself, so we kind of messed up your imposter game as well,” Duke said.

“You two really are something,” Joey could be heard saying.

“Hey, last I checked you’re dead!” Duke said as Joey muted again.

“I could kill one of you two, my cooldown is done, but I don’t know which one of you I should kill,” Serenity said.

“You can kill Duke, then we’ll be the only survivors,” Tristan said.

“What? No, kill Tristan! Then we can go away together and start a new life, a crewmate and his killer lover,” Duke said.

“That sounds stupid,” Tristan said.

“And you two would be any better?” Duke said.

“Guys,” Serenity said. “I know what we can do!” One second later, the Reactor alarm started going off. “Follow me!”

Serenity ran up the hallway, with Duke and Tristan following behind. They ran up and down the left hallway, past Communications, into the hallway to Decontamination, and walked inside.

“So what are we doing?” Duke asked as they ran through Decontamination. “Are we stopping the Reactor?”

As the three entered the Reactor room, Tristan ran up to the first panel. Duke was about to run to the other when Serenity spoke up again.

“No, don’t fix it!” She exclaimed.

“Huh? Why not?” Tristan asked as he stepped away from the panel.

“If the Reactor timer runs out, it’ll be a win for me and Mai, and I won’t have to kill either of you two,” Serenity explained. “Will that work for my bodyguards?” she added with a laugh.

“…I guess that works, since neither of us will die in that case,” Tristan said.

“Actually, we both will die since the Reactor will be destroyed,” Duke pointed out

“Oh.”

Duke looked at the sidebar and saw that there was a little bit of time before the Reactor would end the game. “So, how are you guys doing?” He asked, trying to make a conversation.

“Doing fine, other than the fact that we’re about to die in ten seconds,” Tristan said. “And that means we lose the game.”

“I’m doing fine, but I’m sorry that Mai had to do a lot of the work,” Serenity said. “But we’re still going to get a win!”

“Alright Duke,” Tristan said as the timer counted down from five. “We officially dismiss our bodyguard services, right about… now!” Duke watched as the screen faded, and Serenity and Mai’s ghost appeared on the screen.

“Thank you, guys!” Serenity said. Her voice was overtaken by the voices of the others.

“What kind of game was that!?” Joey asked. “I demand a redo! This game doesn’t count!”

“I agree,” Tea added.

“And next time I’m imposter, I don’t want to be doing all the work,” Mai said.

“Kind of glad I was the first one killed,” Noah said. “I don’t know if I could survive all of that madness, though it was really funny to watch.”

“Same,” Mokuba added.

“Well, I’d rather not get hounded by bodyguards next game,” Bakura said. “And I think he’s ready to play too,” he added, referring to Yami Bakura.

“I also want to play with proximity chat again, that was pretty fun,” Yugi said. “So how about it? Want to play another game?”

“Only if the bodyguard officially retire,” Joey said. “You two promise?”

Duke and Tristan both sighed. “Fine, we promise.”

“Aw, I’m gonna miss having bodyguards,” Serenity said. “But it’s fine, let’s play another game!”
