   Oh wow, I listened to this earlier and it's uncanny how each title basically comes together as a drabble!! And the lyrics—I definitely see how each verse applies to Jorleesi. Of course they dance after death, high in the halls of the kings who are gone and everyplace 💔 I wish they didn't wait, indeed, but at least we can fix it through fic and relive through the feels with your playlist! Thank you!

      I'm so happy you enjoyed it. I was trying to pick songs to represent their relationship over time. I really debated whether or not to include that last song, because it is so sad, but it also really fits (unfortunately).

   Okay, so, wow. First off, thank you so much, kind creator, for making this for me! It's absolutely gorgeous and has made my day!

   It's been years since I've come across a fanmix, which is kind of strange, because those things were my bread and butter in the early '10s! I discovered so much new music that way. I guess fanmixes just became less popular when everyone moved off LiveJournal, but listening to this really made me remember how cool they are. So thank you for using this oft-forgotten medium.

   I have been listening to this fanmix literally all day. Before this morning, I hadn't heard any of these songs before, and I hadn't even heard of most of the artists. So I really didn't know what to expect, but the lyrics you pulled out are so gorgeous, I knew I would be deep in my Jorleesi feels! I think you did such a great job of finding songs that evoke the characters and tell their story. I don't know if you intended the songs to be chronological, but I listened to them in order and it really felt like it was Dany and Jorah's whole arc, from beginning to end.

   In terms of favourites, I think Honest Man by Ben Platt is the most perfect Jorah song! If Game of Thrones was a musical (HBO take note), that is 10000% what he would sing to woo his Khaleesi! I especially love the chorus, it's very "I don't have a whole lot to give you, and I know I'm not the kind of guy you imagined marrying, but I'm an honest, good man and I will treat you well for as long as I live." Which is just so Jorah. He's pretty self-aware (and a little self-deprecating) of who he is and what he has to give, and all he wants is to be good to Daenerys.

   I also completely fell in love with Don't Wait by EXES feat. Dashboard Confessional. It's such a beautiful song, with so much emotion. I love that it's a duet between a man and a woman, their voices overlap so beautifully, and the lyrics they each sing are so fitting to the characters. The line about laying down armour is so perfect for this pairing, if painful - after Jorah spent so long fighting for Dany, he never got the chance to serve her at a time of peace and stability, with her in her rightful place on the iron throne. (No, I'm still not over it...) I will definitely be listening to this song on repeat!

   And wow, the final song, Dancing After Death by Matt Maeson, completely blew me away. It's the perfect ending to Dany and Jorah's story - sad but hopeful and ultimately triumphant. I love how it builds from something very quiet and low-key into this very powerful anthem. It's the kind of song that makes you feel like, despite their tragic ending, their journey meant something. The lyrics are beautiful, too - I adore the idea that they're reunited after death, finally just a man and a woman, finally lovers. It's such an epic and fitting conclusion, and what they deserve!

   Anyway, thank you so much again! I am so grateful for the time and effort you put into creating this and fuelling many more Jorleesi daydreams (which is totally what I needed in 2021!)

      I'm so thrilled you like it! I did mean for the songs to be listened to chronologically, I was trying to map their relationship through the series with song, and I am so pleased that came across. When I heard Honest Man for the first time, I too thought, there could be no song better suited for Jorah. Don't Wait's line about laying the armor down made it a perfect song for them, about how they are both saying that his time for fighting is done. Dancing After Death was the hardest song to include in the mix, because I hate to think about them dying, but it was so beautiful and hopeful that I had to add it, it reminds me a little bit of the Jenny of Oldstones song from the series in that way.

      I'm happy I was able to introduce you to some new artists, all them are great singers, I have used many of their other songs on different fandom fanmixes, and there is a reason why I keep being drawn to their music.

       I'm so glad you like it, and I'm happy to introduce people to new music, these are all great artists. I really did try and capture the full spectrum of their relationship, including the end, "Dancing After Death" was such a hard song to add to the mix, it is so bittersweet, but it fit so well I couldn't deny it.

    Ah I love Spotify playlists and this is an amazing one - the cover art is gorgeous too and I love that you shared some of the most 'Jorleesi' parts of the songs as well. There are some great songs in here that I haven't heard of before and I love that there is a little angst and a lot of 'what if we did do this thing' vibes, which is just perfect for them. Thank you for creating this!

    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I am so excited and happy that you made a playlist!!!! I always love discovering new artists and music, and I am collecting Jorleesi songs myself. From that list, I actually only knew Ingrid Michaelson (which is always a win from the start), so I cannot wait to listen to the others. Did it take long for you to collect them?
    From the lyrics, they sound awesome and really quite fitting for a lot of stages in their relationship. The lyrics of that last one 😭😭😭😭😭

    Fanmixes are so underrated these days, so thank you so much for this!!!

       It took about a week to compile the playlist, I already had a couple songs I liked that I thought really fit this pairing, but I went searching for the rest from artists I liked. I tired to find songs that covered the journey of their relationship, even the angsty parts. The "Dancing After Death" song just kind of fell into my lap, it was one of those Spotify suggestions, so chalk one up for the algorithm, when I heard I thought it would be a good ending for the mix, even if I was hesitant to include it because it is so sad and bittersweet.
