Story changes:
Sole survivor NEEDS to go to Memory Den after finding Nick Valentine. Trust me, after about a month, you won't remember much about what happened. In addition, if Nick gets to see the face of the kidnapper he'll have a better lead that a simple scar and baldness. They live on gruesome and radioactive environment! Many are bold and walk with scars for God's sake!
Finding Kellogg takes a lot more time since he has only briefly hid in Diamond City and long before Sosu arrived. After all, why hire Nick if you could had just heard a rumor how the notorious Kellogg used to live in Diamond City? Also, dog's sense of smell is great but not that jacked.
Nick manages to hack Kellogg's memories on his own. No need to force sole survivor's brain into his just to add more unique game-play. Also he does get momentarily more bugged due to Kellogg's memories. (Such a lost potential, Bethesda.)
Going into Glowing Sea is no easy task. After all, why would Virgil then hide there if you can just pop in a few Rad-Xs? Instead sole survivor has to hire a guide who knows the area as well as get a clean hazmat suit. No toilet or snack breaks in seas of radiation, after all.
Brotherhood has the technology that can help track coursers, which is why they get to join the operation to find the Institute. Also they join the fight to take the courser down.
Railroad cracks the courser chip and joins the operation by pretending to be Minutemen.
Building the complex teleporter is not an easy task, which is why it takes time, money and few more crazy adventures to collect all needed components.
Mechanist's Lair becomes a sanctuary for robots as well as place where Minutemen develop their weaponry, helping them to rebuilt their faction.
After the Bling Betrayal story, Danse becomes a new Elder and the Brotherhood divides into two wings, pro-Danse and pro-Maxson. (Again, Bethesda, such a lost potential.)
The Institute does not get destroyed, but instead gets conquered by Minutemen and Brotherhood of Steel, with the help of Liberty Prime. After all, Brotherhood is all about confiscating technology and use it themselves to gain more power. Besides, how will they learn to identify synths in the future if the whole place gets destroyed? This events happen in about four years after sole survivor's awakening.
Minutemen and Brotherhood of Steel get into few arguments and conflicts because of the rule over Commonwealth. Railroad in the meanwhile work in the shadows, making the conflicts easier or worse.
The raiders from Nuka World decide to attack Commonwealth only after the mysterious Institute has been conquered and Brotherhood kicked out of the lands. Minutemen are to be sent there to stop the thread before it's put into motion. Sole survivor accidentally gets to be the Overboss and a double agent.
Elizabeth, female sole survivor:
At the start her age is about 25. Maiden name Guerrero, but uses her husband's name. Comes from rich family.
Got pregnant during a picnic with Nate in public park.
Wears her husband's family and wedding ring on her left thumb.
Can’t stand cold, due to bad memories of cryo-sleep.
Gets often mugged due to her expensive wedding rings, Pip-Boy and exotic beauty that hasn't been touched by radiation or harsh elements. Really cautious about people touching or hugging her due to being abused.
Kellogg was unable to lethally harm her, because of the restriction in his cybernetic brain chip due to Father. Managed to however plant a scar on her right temple.
Becomes one of eight Minuteman Majors who follow orders of General Garvey.
Has been spied by Deacon from the very start of her awakening. Got a code name "Wanderer" from him.
Bad near-sight, excellent far-sight, making her a passable sniper. Used to wear glasses which she replaced with silver ones she got as a present from Hancock.
Bad at math, biology and physics, best at social studies and history.
Special skills cooking, acting and singing. Also great at dancing and playing chess. Her singing caught the attention of Hancock who offered her a deal to sing in his bar. Sometimes she sing in a trio called Liberty Ladies, with Magnolia and another singer Rose as part of it. The acting roles include Silver Shroud, Atom's Messenger and Raider Overboss.
Smoker. Enjoys wine and soft drinks. Rambling drunk type who talks about how screwed up the old system used to be. Not a fan of comics. Enjoys Silver Shroud show. Wants a pony.
Owned a black car and a dog before the War.
Sister Eleanora, mother Victoria, father Ramón.

Elias, male sole survivor (the male version of Elizabeth for alternative scenes or stories of Fallout 4):
After Institute was defeated Elias learns he's a synth, who's original self died after Kellogg froze him again.
Wife’s family ring on pinkie finger while his is on his wedding finger.
Better leadership, survival skills and fire-arm knowledge due to army experience.
Homosexual, who had to hide his orientation during his family life. He did however love his wife, Nora, as a person and trusted friend. Both took Elias' last name, Guerrero.
More daring, stronger, less agile and sneaky, and very masculine.
Has a perfect pitch, mixes mean martini and looks good in a tuxedo.
Likes Fancy Lads Cakes although he never cared much for them before war. Absolute fan of comics. Loves wine and soft drinks. Rambled drunk who might get into bar fights if his pride is hurt. Wants to be a pony.
Has a scar on his back from a fragmented bomb when he was in the army. Get on his left temple one from Kellogg. Gets a knife scar on his cheek from frightened Hancock after learning Elias was a synth.
Nickname: Ellie, Love, hon (Nora) Eli (feminine teasing) El (formal masculine) brother, stud, Sunshine, beautiful bastard, (by Hancock) El, boss, Bastard (MacCready) Guerrero, kid, mister (by Nick) Sir, Major Guerrero (by Preston) Señor Guerrero (by Curie) Sir, (by Codsworth). Stage name: Silvero.
Dogmeat:
Wears a blue bandana he got from Erickson and K9-UNIT bag vest.
Well-trained probably by last owner. Best trick: stand on back paws as well as find help when others are in trouble.
Will have puppies in the future, one of which Shaun gets to himself.
Nicknames: pooch, canine compatriot (Hancock) pup (Codsworth), mutt, (Gage)
MacCready:
Gunner tattoo (blood type O-) on his left temple. Hides it under his hat.
Age 22 when first met. 17 when he became a father.
Small size and short due to low nutrition as a kid. Does have a strong upper body though. Has scars from tampering government property. Rotten teeth and bitter breath.
Lives in Goodneighbor, later in (Little) Covenant as Mayor.
Very good with kids and sympathetic towards them.
Heavily implies being lonely, depressed and suicidal before bonding with sole survivor.
Can use many kinds of weapons, best a sniping though. Not too literate and can read simple texts. Best at survival in wilderness. Does know how to bribe or convince people.
Smoker and drinker from age of six. Likes Rock and Roll, high places and comics. Not a fan of robots or fish. Hates dark tunnels and ferals and aliens.
Misses one issue of Grognak the Barbarian from his collection, one with Matadonold and Skullpocalypse team up against Grognak.
Nicknames: RJ (rare by few)
Duncan:
5 years old when sole survivor meets his father for the first time.
Duncan moves to Commonwealth after 2 years, when he gets better and is able to travel.
Has one missing tooth and often wears military medic helmet.
Keeps a swear jar for his father.
Nicknames: son, buddy, Little Rascal (MacCready)
Nick Valentine:
Can modify and calibrate himself, like his coolant to adjust his heat, tighten loose finger joints or arm sensitivity.
Does not need to sleep, only puts himself on idle mode. No need for eating or breathing. Does feel pain or defensive recognition of irritation. Does not acknowledge real world when he runs simulations or diagnostics in his head. Eyes glow in dark.
Resistant to radiation but does require cleanup so he wouldn't carry radioactive material among others. Has a rad counter installed within.
Runs badly due to old age and sole survivor kicking his leg in self-defense when Kellogg memories took over his body. Gradually loses his older memories due to limited memory capacity.
Has been hiding from Edward Winter who has risen in power after apocalypse. Eddie Winter does not recognize Nick, which the synth takes advantage of by plotting without the mob boss knowing he is still haunted by the old world detective.
Enjoys or used to enjoy quality drinks. Smoker. Enjoys Jazz Noir. Very literate person who knows many classics. Does not care for sea travel, it ruins his cigarettes.
Tall and a little intimidating, like many other synths.
Bad at taking photos.
Has no dick... in training.
Nicknames: Nickie (Piper) Boltbucket, circuitboard, (Hancock)
Hancock:
Constant Mentats and Jet addiction, which causes him shaking if he doesn't get his daily doses. The withdrawn effect becomes more violent if prolonged too long. May overdose, black out and end up in the most weirdest places, sometimes far from home.
Has to have an escort outside Goodneighbor, or he might get killed by assassins or by his own carelessness.
His skin is leathery and smelly, but does not rot all the time, otherwise it'd be a mess. Bathes rarely since water makes his skin smell worse.
Has a few advantages of being a ghoul: Invisible to ferals, stronger sense of smell and visibility in darkness, resistant but not immune to radiation, lesser need for food and water BUT cannot live without for more than one to two weeks. Can't maintain body heat which is why he hates cold. Sensitive to bright lights.
Biologically has lived almost or over 40 years, decade of which was being a ghoul, so he's stuck being about 30 or over.
Bisexual, maybe even pansexual. Has varying experience and many admirers from all around Commonwealth. Does not flirt with anyone young enough to be his unknown child from his youthful and careless years.
Calm and in control of tough situations, not so great shooter or fighter due to luxury life he's gotten used to, more of a surprise attacker. Has nerves of steel when killing someone up close, even with a knife. (Trust me, it ain't as easy as it looks, specially for your mentality.)
Smooth talker but horrible singer. Never uses a word Smoothskin. Speaks only American, no other languages.
Night owl as well as light sleeper due to restless dreams and ambushes he has to deal with being a mayor.
Cigarette and cigar smoker, classy drinker and good at chess. Favorite music is Jazz and live singing. Favorite Mentats is berry flavor, since it makes him feel intellectual. Favorite comic series Guns an' Bullets and game Red Menace. Not a fan of art, unless it includes naked bodies. Knows a few things about old history, toward which he has a tongue in his cheek attitude.
Wears golden historical signature rings and has a few golden teeth due to fights or ghoulification.
Misses one big toe. It is however unknown how he lost it since the man always changes the story.
Used to live by the sea which is why he is great fisherman and swimmer. Not a fan of shellfish though.
Used to be blonde with curls and blue eyes, as well as really dangerous and handsome.
Owns a bald, ghoulified horse named Sargent Reckless. Breed: Mustang. Nickname: lady
Nicknames: viejo, John-dear, dear, Handsome (by Elizabeth/Elias) Mayor Hancock (Codsworth) freak, abomination (Danse) Mr. Hancock, Sir (Shaun)
Fahrenheit:
Is Hancock's daughter. Used to live till her adulthood without a father since he ran away at young age after learning her mother had gotten accidentally pregnant. Both her and Hancock act as if she used to be her old squeeze to keep her real connections safe.
Good at playing chess. Really good strategist.
Head of the Neighborhood Watch.
Can’t stand cold due to psychological traumas from cold winters or freezing nights outside.
Uses a flamethrower as a weapon. She's in some level pyromaniac with screwed up nerves which is why she can handle it. (Seriously, read up why flamethrowers got banned in warfare and you'll understand.)
Does slightly envy Shaun who gets the attention she missed during her childhood.
First name Etna. Her mother was Hestia Fahrenheit.
Piper:
Invites sole survivor to live with her, in exchange to tell more about the old world. Splits the rent.
Runs her own studies and tests to identify synths.
Gives dating and relationship advise in Diamond City.
Bisexual. Has hots for Magnolia.
Works with Nick sometimes to get some juicy gossip.
Enjoys Nuka-Cola and reading comics until she passes out to relax.
Sweet tooth.
Codsworth:
Uses hover tech instead of rocket to fly in the air (Come on, that thing’s gonna burn the carpet, grass and the young Shaun without even noticing.)
Gets to live in Diamond City where he serves as a cleaner and cook in Piper's house.
Takes a summer vacation to go to Sanctuary Hills to clean the old home and grave of sole survivor's spouse. Old habit that still needs reprogramming.
Installed with movement sensors, self maintenance and Spanish language translation. Using Spanish language audio was not permitted due to governmental rules which stated "In America you speak American."
During 200 years managed to develop more complex personality, which made him seem more alive.
Preston:
Becomes the General of Minutemen.
After becoming a General, he stays away from fight and gives orders to his subordinates in safe locations.
Admires sole survivor for their sense of justice and kindness, even if it's naive at times.
Enjoys light drinking, history and science. Hates rain.
Management and compassion issues, which is why he worries so much about the settlements.
Curie:
Gets her data transferred into Gen. 2 synth body, which has been in possession of Railroad. The body used to be sentient prototype, until it started to malfunction. (Because honestly, how and why would Railroad keep a brain-dead body, specially when they are on budget and short on man power.)
Joins the Minuteman as a medic.
Uses a rubber mask and wig to hide her robotic features.
Knows English, French, Japanese and Spanish. Knows a lot about biology, chemistry, physics and statistics, but she is not too good in practice, specially with the new body.
Does not need to eat or drink, but enjoys to taste anyways. Likes Fancy Lads Cakes. Is even eager to try alcoholic beverages but does not enjoy its taste.
Still getting used to her new body, which makes her sometimes clumsy when walking and really bad as stealth and sneaking.
Does not like unstable land, like boats.
Danse:
Gets to live after Blind Betrayal. Becomes Elder, after getting enough support from his men and friends and challenging Maxson to a combat.
Experienced with modifying weapons and power armor. Keeps his armor always polished and from rusting.
Likes western country music, as well as Fancy Lads Cakes. Not a fan of comics or alcoholic beverages. Considers wanting to try bowling and baseball for training purposes.
Really self-sacrificial. Inexperienced and awkward with flirting.
Owns a dog named Krieg that he keeps in his quarters. Takes him with only to less dangerous missions. Named after Paladin Krieg who sponsored Danse.
Nicknames: Crew-cut, Tinman, Tinsoldier (Hancock) bucko, (Nick)
Longfellow:
About 70 years old and misses some teeth. Early bird.
Good at counting and a little literate. Heard many stories about the past to know some history. Knows how to swim.
Favorite alcohol is whiskey.
Tolerates only Erickson out of all super mutants.
Used to have dog called Jax when he was a young boy.
Like any other grumpy old man, does not trusts doctors or fancy tech. Looks down on people who rely too much on guns.
Is confident to teach sole survivor all he knows, since they need all the knowledge and wisdom the old hunter possesses.
Best gift he ever got from sole survivor is a pair of socks with no holes and a book with boat pictures.
Eventually after few years from meeting Sole Survivor, when the Fog and age catches up to old man, he'll take his last rest with jug of punch at his head and feet and smile on his lips.
Gage:
Probably has some surface-level relationship with Nisha.
Acceptably literal, very smart and strategic, which is why he'd rather stay behind the person who's in charge. Not too good with math or tech though, not including simple terminal handling and typing.
Uses Sole Survivor as a tool by complementing and brown-nosing, just to manipulate and turn them into a real raider boss. Is able to sound very sincere and concerned, but only acts out to buy Sole Survivor's trust.
Enjoys more Sole Survivor's fake Overboss persona, rather than the their true "sissy nice gal/guy personality". Has been thinking about them being together rarely.
Out of all Sole Survivor's friends that help them being the Overboss, Gage only barely tolerates Dogmeat.
Doesn't enjoy chems or alcohol, fearing to dull his senses and drop his guard. For same reason he's lacking deep sleep.
Hates both ghouls and ferals. Worst one he ever met was Hancock, who's not only a ghoul, but an addict, obnoxious smart-ass and is untouchable because of the Overboss.
Doesn't bathe often and has rotten teeth.
Lost his eye when Connor set him up.
The only reason he gets to live at the end is because the Overboss never had it in them to be a real raider.
Shaun:
Really smart and creative. Best at tinkering old and new technology. Fixes and modifies many of his parent's weapons.
Scared of thunder since he has never heard it before.
Gets Arlen Glass' Buttercup Toy as a present which he tweaks to walk.
Occasionally works for Daisy where he gets to fix broken tech.
Builds Hancock’s Plasma Flintlock.
Does not see Hancock as a parent, since parents are boring and he is too cool. Instead, the man gets to be his guardian.
After ten years he becomes older by moving his memories to his older synth body, which has been stored in the Institute for future.
Becomes a detective under Nick's teachings.
Nicknames: son, sweetie, honey, chico (Elizabeth/Elias) kid, buddy, kiddo, Little Man (Hancock/MacCready/Piper/Nick)
Nate:
Loving and caring. Dry humor against those he doesn’t like.
Suffers from PTSD after war. Sees nightmares and is sensitive to gun-shot like noises. Sometimes is on guard, easily gets into a killer-mode when threatened. Carries a scar on his temple from a fragmented bomb.
Only child in family, black sheep.
After getting married he inherits Martin family ring, that belonged to a war-hero before him.
Fan of comics.
Nicknames: dear, hon (Elizabeth)
Nora:
Patient and kind.
Studied to become a lawyer.
Owned a black car.
Not fan of comics.
Original characters:
Sargent Knight Arin, Danse's pupil/subordinate:
Main role in the story: Goes on the missions Danse would normally not go due to his high rank. Also Arin serves as a bridge between other people and Brotherhood, since they are not that communicative faction.
Current rank Sargent Knight, later Paladin when Danse becomes an Elder.
Very tall, muscular and unfeminine due to harsh environment she had to survive in.
Used to be mercenary, got a scar on her right side of the face from a really dangerous job.
Got implants during BoS mission where she lost most of her upper torso. The implants consist of metallic sternum, ribs, shoulder blades, heart and spine. (Unlike in the previous games, these do not give her special abilities or boost her strength, only keep her functional and alive.) (Proctor Ingram has implant legs made with same but older technology.)
Was saved by a reluctant ghoul when she was a young teen, which is why she is not a full-on racist against ghouls. Never trusts super mutants, even if they are friendly.
According to Knight-Captain Cade's notes, used to sit close to the broken tv, is healthy like a bull, and has never been in sexual contact with non-human species.
Skillful with weapon tinkering, good with lock-picking.
Steals sometimes due to old habits. Enjoys drinks and sometimes getting drunk.
Brotherhood code name: RN-306SK
Never dears to call her superiors by other names than their highest rank.
Nicknames: soldier, sister, Sargent Knight (by Danse) Big Girl (Hancock)
Bethany Martin, Father/Director's granddaughter:
Main role in the story: A friend and an ally from the Institute, who would naturally be a better help to Sole Survivor navigate throughout the whole facility. Also, why the hell the Director has no offspring, in case if something would happen to him and his precious, clean DNA? A part-blooded is still better than a parent who might or might not survive in Vault 111 or in the wilderness!
Knows a lot about biology, biotechnology and synths. Knows how to identify them from humans and is one of the few who knows about overall recall code, which can shut down any synth who hears it.
Short and petite, which makes her an easy target to mug or harass, considering her vault dweller -like smooth skin.
Pacifist and freezes when threatened.
Bad survival skills, knows only what she saw her great-grandparent do while spying with the Watchers.
Scared of thunder and hates rain. After all, there are none in the Institute.
Bad eyesight which is why she needs her glasses.
Nicknames: Beth (Elizabeth/Elias) Knockout, Beautiful, Pretty Gal (MacCready) Betty, Starlight, kid (Hancock) kid (Nick)
