Chapter Text
The world is spinning.
Beep.
That is a lie, you know, because you are not on Earth, or anywhere near it. Instead, you are in a space station, one cruising at speeds faster than you, but even then it was not spinning.
The scientist watches you at the corner, eyes narrowed as the girl nearby him started to talk. You strain your ears, but remember the tests it was run through and winced. Instead, all you hear is mumbling, words blurred by the clear glass and the greenish gelatine-type of goop that separated you from everyone.
Beep.
Wait, where is everyone?
[the girl disappears?]
Beep.
[the man walks away, scowling]
The station is quieter than it ever was, but somehow that made the beeping noise louder than it ever was.
You cannot blink, you cannot move, you are bound.
[the world fades; another lie, as only his perception of it decreases to a steady nil]
It was never your choice in the first place, was it?
