Chapter Text

It's the first day of Middle School and it's time for the children to move forward with their lives and go into one of the best times in their lives as some would say. This school in particular is nothing special but holds the story of a group of young friends who will soon meet and rise to the top of the heroic world they live in.

It is currently the beginning the year and the students introduce each other. It goes to a punk rock looking girl who starts their introduction "My name is Kyoka Jiro, I love music, my Quirk is Earphone Jack, it is pretty self explanatory, and with it I dream is to become a pro hero in the future." with strong and cold conviction. This though is given some chuckles from her classmates due to the nature of her Quirk but she doesn't care.

Soon after her is a boy with blonde hair with a black lightning bolt in it who was visibly angered earlier when people laughed at their fellow student over their dream but calms down before getting up and introducing himself "My name Kaminari Denki! I love anything cool, hamburgers, and the ladies! My Quirk is Electrification and it allows me to discharge energy through my body like a stun gun! I also plan to be a hero in the future!" he gives a bright smile and soon sits back down. 

Next is a short boy with purple balls on his head who sat next to Denki who comes to the front of the class clearly nervous at having to do this. He soon speaks up "My name is Minoru Mineta and I like fruit and gardening. My Quirk is Pop Off and it lets me throw the sticky balls on my head which last depending on my health, my dream is to become a cool guy!" He says it with such conviction it almost stops the class from laughing at him. That's almost though since they all soon laugh at him dashing the little confidence he had coming to the front of the class. Denki soon pities the boy and pats his back saying it's okay.

Finally the last of our main cast, the kid behind Denki gets up and heads to the front of the class. They have nice dirty blonde hair in a bob and no real noticeable emotion. Their skin seems more yellow than the regular person and somewhat scaly skin along with a decently sized tail coming from behind their legs along with their eyes seemingly closed which makes it impossible to discern their eye color. "My name is Prota Nymphis, I love watching anime with my Moms when I can and playing video games, my Quirk is Bleeding Heart, I want to be a Pro Hero like The Monster King one day. Oh also I go by They/Them." There are a few quiet murmurs at that but they start to move back to their seat.

Though before they go back to their seat their teacher speaks up "Um Nymphis, you didn't explain what my quirk does."

They stare at them for a few seconds and just say "I know" and go back to their seat. This makes them sweat drop and just continue with the day with classes going on like normal until a extremely attractive teacher got the attention of both Kaminari, Mineta, and Prota to some degree (No one notices their noise bleed) and needed Jiro to use her quirk to show why you don't fuck with her. After their continued perverted antics a few other times Mineta got the hit to hold off for now though Kaminari didn't.

It was soon lunch and Mineta was sure he was going to be alone because he could already see that everyone was already paired up. He plops himself down at an empty table in a corner and soon taking out their food and munching on their food. Soon though the two weird blondes come up to him asking if a spot is taken. This truly confuses the guy for obvious reasons but he allows them to so and they start talking like friends would, or at least what he'd think friends would do at his age, he's never really had friends before but he just rolls with it.

His curiosity soon gets the best of him though and he asks the thing that has been nagging at him this whole time "So why are you guys sitting with me? I mean I'm not the most popular guy and you have that Jiro girl as a friend right Kaminari?"

Kaminari laughs at that, "Yeah we're friends but she has other friends that she hangs with so she decided to spend lunch with them instead."

The seemingly emotionless kid soon speaks up as well "Well I wanted to sit away from people who seemed annoying."

"Ha! You mean awesome dudes!"

"I regret my decision immediately."

He first feels pretty bummed out for being the second choice but if they're this fun then he's pretty happy that they're spending time with him. They spend the rest of Lunch together and they really hit it off. Before lunch ends they share their contact information and spend the rest of class doing nothing special until it comes to PE. The class is always humiliating due to his size and general lack of physical ability but it is worse because the kids get to show off their Quirks the first day and have some fun.

"Hey Mini Grape!" a Dodgeball going at high velocities soon smacks the grape headed boy in the face sending him flying into a wall. Soon after that 5 more strike him in quick succession with the same boy laughing his ass off.

"Oh my god that was awesome!" Another boy that the previous student seems to be friends with seems to take great joy in the short student's misery.

Yeah the fun doesn't apply to everyone. Especially when their teacher had to leave a bunch of first years alone to talk to the principle for some reason. Mineta didn't really care about this at this point because of his injuries.

Mineta soon tries to get up with his face incredibly bloody with his mouth gushing blood. Everyone seems to either be trying to ignore him or laughing at him for being injured. Mineta starts to cry from both pain and the humiliation he's received until a blonde electrokinetic walks between the two jerks and smiles "You shouldn't mess with your peers like that. Though I have to say that skill you have is pretty electrifying!" He let's his charge out shocking both students and making them spasm out as they fall over, out of it.

Prota then walks over to the injured boy and gets down on their level. The soon put one hand on their shoulder and then opens their other hand allowing for a green heart to form over their palm with them letting their eyes be seen. They appear to be glowing the same shade of green of the heart. "Hey hey hey. Mineta it's going to be okay. They won't hurt you again." They allow for the heart to let out light that bathes over Mineta and they slowly allow the injuries to be healed quickly.

Kaminari soon walks over after taking care of the two students and puts his hand on the other student's shoulder "Yeah man! We plan on being heroes so we can't allow for something like that to just pass us by and not help! Don't worry dude, we'll be here for you." He gives their short friend a wide smile and that seems to fill him with hope.

Once Mineta is healed enough the light from the heart fades and that same heart soon fades to a bright red along with Prota's eyes and hair shifting to similar shades. They get up and head over to the two boys who fucked with Mineta earlier and talk to them while they are down. They look up and Prota moves in to whisper in their ears something the rest of class is unable to hear but they can tell just from the look on their faces that it was enough to make them remember what was said for their rest of their school lives. The now redheaded student looks to the rest of the class with a sickly sweet smile with their piercing red eyes with the strange red heart sending out waves of energy to the class, everyone knows not to say anything when their teacher returns after they see that.

The day is soon over and Mineta is leaving the building. He is soon called over by the two students who have been there for him all day. He has a wide smile as he runs to them to head home together. This is the start of something great between them and they will aim for the top together, but they haven't decided on that yet. They're just 3 Middle Schoolers who are going to be there for each other.

Chapter Text

It's been two months since the students became friends. After Prota scared their class during that PE class they were pretty much left alone entirely out of fear of Prota. None really mind this change since it mean Mineta is not messed with and Kaminari is viewed as a hero for helping the boy. This elevated their position in the school pretty highly from rumors alone protected Mineta. Though this only applies to their year mind you so they can't be so cocky as to assume they now rule the school but they are safe from same year bullies for a while at the very least.

The three students along with Jiro have gone to a quaint little Café that they usually go to after school. The business is owned by this nice woman with a spider mutation quirk. She's a very kind woman who who helps those with Quirks that are seen as disgusting or villainous by the general public because she understands how it feels to be treated in such a way. She actually comes and places a four coffees for the group. "There you go kids 2 black, 1 iced, and a latte." She then leaves them to their business.

That business is soon brought up as they by the dirty blonde of the group when they all begin drinking their coffee "So you guys plan to go to a hero school after we are done with our third year right"

Kaminari is the first of the pair who begin talking about their heroic asperations "Yeah man! Me and Kyo-Chan are going to UA and be the best heroes out there!" He gives his usual smile and is luckily not jabbed in the ear by Jiro but he came close to it.

Jiro sighs "Yeah we plan to get into the her course, what about you Prota?"

"Same as you guys actually. Both of my parents graduated from there so I plan to do the same."

The two are surprised of the flex "Holy crap that's awesome Prota! Are they already training you then?"

"Well Mother is usually the one who trains me since she's the one who's actually the hero while Momma works in support. All of Mother's suits since graduation were actually made by here." They already knew of their family situation but none of the specifics of who they are. They really just know they are some randos in the hero industry.

Jiro doesn't speak but it is clear she is thinking the same thing. They begin talking about their hero aspirations in more earnest but their friend is entirely left out. He is so happy that their friends want to do something they truly want but he still bummed he is left out. 'Is this how it's always going to be? My friends going out in the field beating bad guys and being loved while I'm just forgotten and ignored. What am I going to do?'

Mineta is soon brought out of his musings by Prota bringing something up something amazing "Would you guys want to come train with us?" This surprises the whole group but Kaminari and Jiro are not going to turn down such an offer.

"Hell Yeah!"

"Sure!"

Mineta doesn't say anything since he's sure his friends have just forgotten about him until Prota begins to speak to him"Hey do you wanna join us man? I mean you may not want to be a hero but working out can still be good for you."

He begins to think on this and it is a pretty tough choice 'Do I just go with them. I don't really care about it but.' "Sure that sounds real fun!" 'I don't want to be left behind. I need to be stronger'

Prota gives a kind smile and then pays the group's bill. They then catch a train to wherever Prota was leading them. That is after calling their parents about it but Jiro's call stands out to them.

"Yeah Mom, I'm going to Prota's place... No that's Pandora. Prota is the one with the Heart Quirk. They're Denden's friend... Yeah that's them... Yeah we'll be back as soon as we can... Yeah love you too, bye." She then hangs up

Kaminari is the first to speak up "Hey you really have to tell them about being a hero eventually"

Jiro sighs "Yeah but they want me to be a musician so bad. I don't know what to do!"

Mineta soon speaks up "What are you guys talking about?"

Kaminari sighs "Kyoka never told her parents about wanting to be a hero."

Jiro does the same thing "Yeah they've wanted to be a musician ever since I was little so I don't want to tell them yet."

Prota gives there two cents "You have to do it eventually since they have to know about your training since they are going to question any bruises and injuries in general from your training."

Jiro nods "I'll tell them eventually. Let's just get to where we're training."

Everyone sees to leave it at that and soon hop on a train to Tokyo and head on a bus to a certain agency. This is The Heart of The Royal Guard Agency. This is the agency #6 Hero Royal Knight Hero Undying. This is Prota's Mom's agency. This obviously astounds the group of who their friend is just walking into the building like it is nothing. They follow him in though and the skeleton wearing a coat at the front desk greets the group with a cartoonish smile

"Hey kiddo, I see you brought your friends with you today. Boss is going to love the new punching bags." He chuckles after that and sends a chill down the group's spines

"Hello to you too Sans. Shouldn't Doge be here and not you?"

"Oh she went home early because she was sick. She was apparently so scared that the boss wouldn't give her a bone at the end of the month that she came in sick. Newbies amirite?" Most of the group doesn't catch the pun but Prota does and just sighs

"Okay Sans, just tell Mother that I am here dude. Also cut it with the puns, no one but you likes them." Their hair flares red in annoyance before it returns to normal calm dirty blonde. They then sit down in the waiting room with their friends following them still stuck in shock.

Kaminari soon speaks up "What the fuck dude"

"Hm?"

"You didn't tell us your Mom was fucking Undying!"

"Yeah I can't really project that type of thing after what happened to my Uncle"

This confuses the group but before they can ask what that was about a suit of armor comes out of an elevator and runs towards Prota and pulls him into a bone crushing hug. "Hey squirt! How was school?" They soon let go and pull of their helmet and everyone sees a blue scaled woman with a long flowing red ponytail and an eyepatch

"Great to see you too mother. It went pretty great but you are probably scaring my friends." And she can soon seen the group of students that were brought with her child and she now see that they are pretty awestruck at seeing the #6 Hero.

"Oh they just know I'm so awesome! Well kiddos I'd like to introduce myself but how about we head downstairs to the training area to do that?" everyone just nods out of fear of one of the top ranked heroes in Japan.

The group is led to the elevator and go underground. As they do so Undying speaks looking to Mineta "You're kid that was attacked by those dicks right?"

Mineta gulps and nods "Yeah they really messed me up. Turns out one of those guys can freeze items and have them charge up kinetic energy in whatever they decide on. I guess I was just an easy target for them to have some fun with their quirk. I'm just lucky that Denki and Prota were there to knock them down and heal me." He starts to smile towards the end along with the rest of the group.

"Well that's my kid, a true hero!" The door soon opens and they walk through into what seems to be a training room. There is a door leading to the left and a wall panel next to it "Welcome to Royal Guard's Trainer Grounds. I had Alphys fit this place out with everything to train our men for the field. Our agency mainly focuses on battle and rescue. As most know my quirk is Arcane Fighter allows me to create constructs from what I call Magic and fight with them along with using said magic to strengthen me greatly. I usually stick to Spears because of preference. What most don't know is that it took years to really understand how to use my quirk in a way that's more than just create point magic thing and stab with it. So besides just helping you guys be fit like me, I'm going to help with your quirks! That is to say if you want to be the least bit capable of getting into the most competitive Hero School in Japan which has a 0.2% chance acceptance rate." During this whole speech she is flexing just to show off along with creating and throwing spears. This both inspires and scares the students while it just leave Prota neutral since they are just to their mother's energy.

Mineta pipes up though "Um ma'am, I don't know what I want to be but I don't think I want to be a hero..." 

Undying gives him a deep glare "Then why are you here?"

"Um... I just want to be stronger, be with my friends I don't want to have them protect me all the time."

"But they want to be heroes so why is it a problem if they do?" She is glaring into his soul right now.

He is truly terrified. Terrified enough to speak honestly "Because I don't want to be weak! I've been weak and relying on people my whole life to keep me safe and I don't want to be that way anymore! I thought Middle School may be different but I still needed my first friends in a while to stand up for me!" well more scream it out of fear.

Kaminari puts their hand on his shoulder "Dude."

"I know it's stupid but I just don't want to have to rely on you guys for everything. I may be the size of one but I'm not a 5 year old. I don't need the big kids to watch out for me, or at least you shouldn't." He sighs

Undying gives out a hearty laugh "Well kid you at least have spunk to ya! That's what you need to get stronger. So let's get to you weaklings let's train!"

They all cheer but soon regret that happiness as The #6 hero is a slave driver. They are going to need lots of rest after this

Chapter Text

A few months have passed and school has recently restarted due to summer break ending. Sadly as that time is normally a time of great relaxation it was not for Kaminari who failed their finals and had to take courses over the summer. That was the subject of much teasing by Jiro and the others in his friend group. They have also been taking to training from Undying (who they later learned was named Undyne earning a chuckle from Kaminari and "special" training from the woman herself) pretty well. They also started to hang out at Prota's home and they were surprised that the home of the #6 Pro Hero was relatively normal with the exception of Prota's room being pretty big with a walk in closet. They were also surprised at them having an interest in music of all things but that was explained since they had very different tastes compared to the others and was uncomfortable talking about it.

Currently though the school day is part of the way through and everyone is sitting through their History taking a quiz simply doing as normal students would. Though this is taking its toll of Kaminari obviously and it seems he is sparking from his ears due to all the effort they are putting into the task. In the middle of this though a scream is heard from the hall that is soon cut off. This alarms the students but they just assume someone tripped and return to their test. Soon after the students have their tests turned in another scream is heard, but this time that of a girl who left the room to the bathroom and runs back in the room "Toga is drinking Saitou's blood through a straw!" She then runs to the rooms trash can and throws up from the sight of the event.

This alarms the student as some call there parents while some rush to the door despite their teacher calling for them to not do so and return back to their seats. Prota, Mineta, and Kaminari are some of these students and they soon witness the situation and start to feel sick. Prota is the first to react but is horrified when they see the state the boy named Saitou is in. They see the blonde girl with Cat features (i.e Cat Ears and a tail) and then all the blood that covers her mouth. They see it all but push their fear down and let themselves out and have their hair turns to it's battle ready shade of red and along with their eyes they soon open but they are the same shade of green as the heart they soon create. They seem to create a frying pan from it and rush to the boy.

Quirk: Bleeding Heart

The user of the Quirk can summon a heart, or as they prefer to call it their soul, that embodies 1 of seven aspects. Red (Determination), Cyan (Patience), Orange (Bravery), Blue (Integrity), Purple (Perseverance), Green (Kindness), and Yellow (Justice). They all allow them to use different abilities along with a different weapon based off of which aspect is used. 

Red (Determination) is the base and allows for the user to create Knives and Fire. 

Cyan (Patience) allows for the user to use Bandages to bind enemies and what appears to be toy weaponry to annoy enemies.

Orange (Bravery) allows for the user to move incredibly fast and strike with such speed while wearing gloves with the shape of a heart on them in black.

Blue (Integrity) allows for the user to move much slower gain striking kicks along with a pair of boots with a design similar to the gloves.

Purple (Perseverance) allows for the user to use a magical fountain pen of their own creation to impart orders and actions into them to help them in a myriad of ways. An example of such is giving an adrenalin boost by writing Boost.

Green (Kindness) allows for the user to create a Frying Pan which can be used as a weapon but is much better used as a shield since it can change shape into different 

Yellow (Justice) allows for the user to hover with boosters out their back and six shooter which can shoot it's so that they vary in strength if the user wishes or is just low on power. he weapon still needs to be reloaded.

The downside of the Quirk is that the user's Soul is a major weak spot of the the quirk. If it is destroyed it takes a while for the Quirk to regenerate leaving the user vulnerable and much weaker without it.

The girl named Toga turns to him and looks at them with a face of sadness, fear, and euphoria which makes Prota hesitate for a second and allow her to get up and begin to run.

This does not matter to them as much as the student currently bleeding out. They chuck out the straw still stuck in the wound and begin to use their Quirk to begin to heal their wound but that doesn't really help with the blood lost "Hey! do not fall asleep on me man! You gotta Persevere! You have friends and family that'll miss you don't you?! Force yourself for them at the very least!" They begin to pull the boy up and start to change both their eyes, heart, and weapon to purple. That causes the frying pan to turn into a fountain pen that is then used to write the word "SURVIVE" which seems to give them the energy get up with help from Prota "Come on! You aren't going to die on us!" 

He soon grits his teeth and speaks for the first time "Hell No I'm Not!" It seems as if a new fire was lit under him.

Mineta and Kaminari soon come with Kaminari supporting Saitou as they say that they are taking him to the infirmary to the teacher. They soon reach there and he is taken care of by their school nurse as an ambulance is called for him due to his condition which they are surprised he is even standing due to the amount of blood lost. As they are taken to an ambulance the police pull the three student aside to speak to them.

"So do you understand what you have done boy?" It was some gruff detective with a Tiger Mutation Quirk

They still have their hair red along with eyes open though lacking any glow due to the inactivity of their Quirk. They scoff "Save a Saitou's life? If I did nothing then he could have died. That crazy bitch drank like half of his blood and without my help he wouldn't have been able to be taken to the infirmary safely! Also I'm not a boy dipshit! They/Them asshole" This is greatly alarming his friends since the only times they've seen their friend act in such a way was during spars against robots and their mother. They are scared for the detective's safety.

"The fuck did you call me brat!" Just as they were about something a crash is heard as they see a greatly armored body with a red ponytail sticking out of it greatly intimidating the detective.

"What the fuck happened." It wasn't a question but a demand for the officer to explain what happened.

"U-um, a a student attack another with an Box Cutter and began drinking their blood through a straw." He quickly regained his confidence "They were then scared off by that boy and-" They are cut off by a mana spear being thrown next to them.

"Use the right pronouns asshole. I know that they corrected you" He is now paralyzed by the fear caused by an angry mother/#6 Hero

Prota just sighs "Mother I can handle this dick by myself." That made the man almost piss himself from knowing he's dealing with the kid of one of the most volatile heroes around next to Endeavor.

"Okay brat, just tell me what the hell happened back there?" She seems much more caring when talking to her child

"I just had to make sure Saitou didn't fucking die because of that crazy bitch before help came so I used Kindness to heal him and Perseverance help him push through to get to the Infirmary and and later the Paramedics."

"Crazy Bitch? I think you'd have to be crazy to pull some shit like that. Hey Tora Dora!" This made the detective look stiffly at her "Why did the girl do that to the victim? Was it some fetish shit?"

He starts to stutter as he is asked the question "S-s-she has a quirk called Duplicat. With it she can transform into anyone but only if they get the right amount of blood or just regular DNA though it isn't as strong. She also needs blood to keep herself in control. From what we know currently she receives the blood bags every 3 days so that she can keep her head on straight. This just seems to be a situation of her deciding to have some "fun". We also know from her friends that she had a substantial crush on the victim. Seems pretty open and shut in my opinion."

Prota squirms and remember their face from when they turned to them but they decided to not say anything at that point. Their Mother looks at them but decides to leave them be and ask them later at home. After everything is done Prota and their friends leave and head over to Kaminari's place to relax until they saw a group of students surround a purple haired first year that they've seen from time to time in the lunch room time to time. They seem to be screaming at him stuff along the lines off "Tell us why you did that to Himiko!" and "You made her do that didn't you."

Kaminari tells their friends to wait a second and heads over to the surrounded student "Hey what's going on here? You know it's not nice to harass a fellow student right?"

A dark haired girl who appears pretty plain is the first to speak up "This jerk is the one who made Himiko do that to Saitou!"

Kaminari begins to glare at the boy "Oh did this bastard have some blackmail on her? Not cool man, not cool"

"No this piece of shit used his brainwashing Quirk to make Himiko do that to Saitou! He was jealous that the two actually had friends so he decided to ruin both of their lives! We just need to get him to the police and we can save Himiko!"

Now Kaminari may be an idiot but he isn't naïve enough to assume that they are right. But they see it as a reasonable enough idea that he could have done it due to having a quirk capable of doing that "Well I guess that seems reasonable enough. Just get the police here to do it and not do some mob justice stuff." The crowd begrudgingly agrees and calls for the cops. Kaminari goes back to their friends and heads to his place leaving the boy to the police to prove their innocence regarding this event.

The moon hangs over the forest she's been hiding in for a day. She's been recently found by some low level hero and she's been stuck running since then. She's still running. She has to keep running. She can't stop. She can't slow down. She must live. She must live. She. Must. LIVE! While distracted she runs into a tall man who then grabs her and drags her behind a tree shushing her "Hey quiet down" She bites his hand drawing the delicious red liquid she's been starved of for years. Soon she hears some heroes and police run by her position and she's let go of after a while after they leave.

"Hey you okay kid?" She then gets a good look of him. He has pitch black hair and burnt skin adorning what seems to be his entire body with piercings at the points when they meet healthy skin. She is stunned at the man in front of her "Oh yeah, I guess it's a shock seeing the mess that is my body. It doesn't hurt anymore if that's any solace. So why is a cute cat girl Middle Schooler running from heroes and police?"

She is horrified but he saved her so it makes sense that she talk "I attacked another student and was drinking his blood through a straw."

He then laughs "Holy shit that's hardcore! Wish I could do that to my Old Man. Oh yeah I never introduced myself, the names Dabi, vigilante, and victim of our fucked up hero system. How about you?" 

She gulps hearing she's talking to the vigilante that's been appearing lately "Um, I'm Himiko Toga. I guess you can say I'm also a victim of the system."

He smiles kinder than she would have expected "I guess we got something to bond over then. How about we head over to my place so we can get you away from  those assholes." She nods and heads with him through the night hoping that whatever the future has in store for her won't be as bad as the other day.

I'm going to rewrite this. I lost interest in the OC and think I'll try this again. A lot of the old ideas I had for this will be worked out for an even better version of the story. Hope you'll guys will like the remake
