Work Text:

It had been a little over a week since Jordan and Alejandro’s wings had come in. The half angels had been working hard at getting their instincts under control and finding the pocket dimension. It was tough training, but both Al and Jordan were happy to take the challenge head on.

After a particularly grueling day of training, Aziraphale had suggested a family game of poker. This had surprised his demonic husband as gambling was not something the angel typically enjoyed, being a game that encouraged sin. Aziraphale, thinking on his feet, suggested the group could bet with M&M’s instead of money. Still gambling and betting, but less ‘demonically tempting’. Crowley had cackled at Aziraphale’s logic, but had agreed to the revised ‘betting chips.’

The little family got changed from their day of training, throwing on light clothes as the heat made itself known. Aziraphale and Sam put together some snacks and organized the betting chips before the group began to play. Jung, having done some time working at a casino in the 80’s, had agreed to be the dealer during the game (he honestly just wanted to eat all of his candy without needing to bet anything).

Alejandro was the first person out, having been unable to bluff properly much to his husband’s amusement. Jordan was out second, only having lasted 10 minutes longer than Al. Both half angels seemed unable to tell any sort of a convincing lie. Sam, Crowley and Aziraphale went on, playing for another hour. Each being had the upper hand at one point or another.

When the final round was called and bets were being placed Crowley decided to up the ante.

“Oi, I’m all in and I’m also adding in a challenge.”

Aziraphale rolled his eyes and chuckled. “And what challenge, pray tell, are you adding to this bet dear.”

The demon cockily smirked, “Whoever looses must wear a pink flamingo floaty out to the pool and only the pink flamingo floaty… for at least an hour.”

Sam whistled and folded. “Too rich for my blood, I am out.”

Sam heard her boyfriend’s disappointed, ‘awwww’, muttered under his breath and snickered.

“Maybe next time we’re on vacation love,” she whispered in his ear before kissing his cheek.

The attention of everyone at the table was then drawn to Aziraphale. The. angel’s eyes were creased in concentration. Drumming his fingers against the table, the angel made a calculated decision based off of his hand. Nodding to himself he gently placed his cards down and moved his pile of candy into the pot.

“I call darling.”

“Alright Aziraphale!” Jung reached his handout for a high five and the angel gave it a little shake.

“Okay angel, candy in and verbal bet also accepted. What do you have?” Crowley smirked at his husband, holding his cards close.

The angel smile as he lowered his hand to to table. A royal flush of hearts had the table cheering.

“Well done Aziraphale! Amazing hand!” Alejandro had crowed.

“Thank you dear boy. I do believe that means I win my love.” The angel grinned at his husband and attempted to collect the candy pot.

“Wait Aziraphale, we still need to see Crowley’s hand. Crowley, if you please.” Jung motioned for the demon to lay his cards down.

Smirking, Crowley began placing his cards down one by one. 10 of Spades. Jack of Spades. Queen of Spades. King of Spades. And finally the Ace of Spades. The highest ranking royal flush.

Silence hung in the room before Jung started cackling loudly. “Oh my Someone! Crowley wins!”

Snorts of laughter sprinkled throughout the room until four Elements could no longer hold in their amusement, laughing historically at the thought of the very proper Aziraphale in nothing but a flamingo floaty.

The angel, for his part, had gotten over his dismay and began chortling himself. “Well played darling. You are quite to poker player.”

“Well, in the 50’s I was told to head to Las Vegas for three months. Had to fill my down time with something… poker was at least interesting.”

The angel nodded and smiled adoringly at his husband. “You’re still just full of surprises my love.”

“Indeed I am.” The demon smirked before getting out of his chair and stretching his arms over his head.

“I could use a swim after that, how about you lot.”

The Elementals all looked at each other before bowing out. “You two have fun with that,” Sam chuckled out. “We are gonna go watch the Loki series upstairs. Jung’s been dying to watch it.”

“Hey, Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor…and ridiculously hot! Plus he plays a chaotic god! That is a demon’s bread and butter thank you very much.” Jung held his head high before marching up the stairs his husband following behind and laughing.

Sam winked at her dad before grabbing Jordan’s hand. And running up the stairs calling down, “You two have fun now!”

Crowley and Aziraphale stood in the suddenly very quiet room. The demon patted his husband on the shoulder before kissing his cheek.
“You don’t need to wear the floaty angel. I was only teasi-“

“Nonsense. I lost a bet and I must follow through. For you to have chosen something so specific as a flamingo floaty I am presuming you all ready acquired one?”

The demon blushed before snapping a small miracle and a flamingo floaty package was in his hands. “I’ve actually had this in the back of our closet since before our wedding. I thought I could get you to wear it on the honeymoon… but then you wore nothing at all and I thought that was much better.”

The angel chuckled at his husband’s admission and reached for the package. “Well then dear. You change first and head out to the pool. I’ll meet you there momentarily after.”

**************************

Crowley was currently waiting for his handsome husband. He was enjoying the feeling of the hot sun on his skin while lazily floating in the pool when a throat being cleared had him open his eyes.

“Oh my Someone…”

The demon gasped at Aziraphale as the angel stood by the pool. His fair and skin twinkled in the sunlight, the sight making Crowley loose his corporation’s breath. Not even a bright pink flamingo floaty around the angel’s waist could take away from his beauty. And as instructed, the angel wore nothing else under that floaty…except for the Effort he decided to create just for his husband.

“Oi! Angel…you look. I mean, you are- ngk-woah.” The demon stumbled over his words as he swam to the side of the pool, hooking his arms on the side and staring at his gorgeous husband.

“Eloquent as ever dear,” the angel smirked at his husband before lowering himself into the pool. He moved over to Crowley and pulled the demon in for a heated kiss.

Moaning in delight the demon shuddered and growled into the kiss. “Fuck angel, if I had known how good you were going to look in that,!I would’ve insisted you wear it during our honeymoon. I would’ve ravaged you in the ocean for hours where no one could hear your cries of pleasure.”

The angel smirked and pulled the demon closer nibbling on his ear before whispering. “Why not do that now… a little clouded miracle and no one would be the wiser.”

The demon shivered in delight before snickering, “You tempting little angel. I may need to punish you for that.”

They angel snapped and a haze moved around the pool, one much like the cloud Crowley had created to keep the garden hidden before the wedding. Aziraphale lowered his hand into his husband’s swimming trunks, pleased to feel the Effort Crowley had created.

“Fuck angel, I’m gonna make you scream so loud.” The demon moaned out.

“Oh darling, not if I make you scream first.”

Two hours that haze hung in the air, a demon and an angel enjoying each other’s company over and over again. A few meters away a pink flamingo floaty had been tossed, long forgotten.
