Chapter 1: The First Time, But Not The Last

Chapter Text

Percy took one step into the revolving glass doors, finding herself in the Station's waiting room. She studied the rectangular room in case anything had changed, everything was the same except the receptionist's chair... It's sleek black leather was torn to shreds... Beside it, on the floor, was a white feather, Percy studied it closely.

"It seems like i'll be on a wild goose chase~..." Percy said to herself.

"Huh? What does that mean!?"

Percy calmly turned around, feather still in hand, to see the chin of one giant Oscar. "Well it seems that someone came in here and laid this feather for us to find..." Oscar puffed his collar, causing Percy to take a gander at his uniform. It was loose as always, two of the top buttons weren't buttoned and he had his sleeves rolled up, plus he didn't have the shoulder pads, as usual... However there was one problem, a cut in the uniform was visible on the right shoulder. Oscar may be lazy, but he always kept clean and complete shirts. "And it seems you may have had a run in with them." Percy continued.

Oscar followed Percy's glance, "Oh that, it was nothing!" Oscar said with a smile, "But what's this about a goose chase?"

Percy sighed, "Oscar I've already explained it, someone has broken into the precinct..."

He shook his head, "That's not what I meant, what do you mean about a wild goose chase? The goose is right there..." Oscar pointed behind her.

Percy turned back around and what she saw was confusing. A snow white goose stood in the middle of the room, it's claws dug into the dark blue carpet. It's beady eyes stared into Percy's... There was only silence for minutes, until Percy broke the tension with one word.

"Oh..."

In response the goose let out a loud HJONK, still staring creepily into Percy's eyes.

"Uh, Percy meet Billy... Or Tom Honks if you ask Meryl..."

Chapter 2: Odd Indeed...

Notes:

Short but, these are probably just gonna be short stories ab the Goose. Maybe i'll incorporate Billy into the main fic :3

Chapter Text

Percy watched as Oscar chased Billy, the goose she had met yesterday morning, around the entire police station. They bumped into desk after desk and even broke a printer! Eros wanted to get rid of the damn goose but it always came back to the station, plus Oscar is really good at convincing Chief Keller... so John let Billy stay. As long as Oscar kept him from destroying the station. Of course Mason usually helped Oscar in his goosey escapades. However, Oscar had a secret weapon...

Percy watched as Oscar stopped in his tracks, he cupped his hands by his mouth, ready to scream. The goose jumped on a shelf out of reach from Mason, the goose hjonked at the short detective as he tried to reach him. Then it noticed Oscar, he stared at him with it's beady eyes, he was suspicious of the tall human.

Oscar breathed in, "MERYL!" he screamed with all his power.

Meryl rolled from her cubicle, she wasn't even a meter away from Oscar, and her face said enough... She was tired of Oscar's antics. She sighed as she began, "Tom Honks come here..."

Billy hjonked as he jumped from the shelf, honking the whole way to Meryl. He wagged his tail when he arrived to his mom, he wanted beak scratches.

"Heya little guy... I'll only give you beak scratches if you promise to behave."

The goose let out a loud hjonk in response, hoping for scratches.

Meryl giggled as she began to scratch his beak, Billy melted into Meryl's hand. When she stopped, Billy honked and waddled towards his bed, which was under Oscar's desk. Billy circled the bed like a cat, trying to find the most comfortable spot and sat down, hiding his legs under his fat white body. He honked at Oscar, possibly saying sorry.

Oscar just smiled at the goose, he didn't mind.
