The Escape Of Tommyinnit

Summary:

Tommyinnit, son of a rich business owner, and basically a prince, escapes from his life and moves in with a few of odd-misfit-friends. What can he do while on the run from his father, hundreds of guards, and civilians, with a reward in place for his return? Well, I guess we'll see.

Work Text:

Violin music plays out through the hall, and the room is a stilled hush while guests hold short conversations. As Tommy watches his family's clients wander the room, he holds his chin in his hand. His father is speaking with a couple of patrons and the blond’s eyes wander to the three. He wonders for a moment what is being discussed, but he is interrupted by the creaking of the large, oak doors of the hall.

Tommy lifts his head and stands from his seat opposite the doors, and as he does two figures come into view. One short, wearing a sort of combat boots, loose pants, a white button-up, and a brown vest. But the weirdest part of his outfit is the ram-like mask he is wearing, presumably to cover his face. And next to him was an even stranger character. He was tall, extremely tall, and was wearing an old-looking, black suit. He too has boots and was covering his face with an odd half-black-half-white masquerade mask.

All was still for a moment, the violin music now cut off, as all attention was put on the two people that had just burst into the party. Tommy makes eye contact with them and raises his hand for a short salute to the duo before a loud “Woo!” sounds through the hall and the shorter punches the air.

Tommy jumps from where he’s standing, down the steps that lead to his family’s respective seats, and starts to make his way to the front of the crowd.

“Let’s get this party started, am I right or am I right?” The same voice sounds out, and the entire room erupts into chaos.

Tommy can’t see them but he’s sure the guards are trying to get the intruders already. Just seconds later his suspicion is confirmed as an armed man runs along the wall. Why hadn’t he thought of going along the wall?

Well, shit. Not like he could change anything now, though.

Guests are rushing past him to get away from the pair and he pushes through, muttering short apologies to the patrons. Tommy is almost to the doors and now that he’s there, he notices a muffled conversation he wasn’t aware of before from the shouting around him.

“Hey, guys. My friend and me aren’t really looking for any trouble, we swear-”

He’s finally able to see them but still needs to push past a few more guests to reach the group.

“We’re just here to pick something up actually so if you could just-”

Tommy makes it to the front and waves at the two and he can almost feel their eyes light up as the shorter cuts off his sentence.

“Right, there's the person we came to see.” The guards that surround the duo turn to Tommy as their hand raises to point at the blond, “So we can be leaving now…”

“Bye!” A guard moves to grab the taller’s arm but he ducks away from them as his partner rams into the guard that tried to touch his friend. Tommy’s hand is grabbed as the guard reels back and he is pulled through the door. More guards follow after the pair and the blond can feel his adrenaline kick in as he sprints through the large building with a masked man beside him.

He turns his head over his shoulder and gasps lightly as the other masked person runs up behind them. He stops his running abruptly and this apparently shocks the guards and the others running with him as he punches one of the guards in the face before moving to grab the shorter’s hand and following the taller out the last door, cheering as they run out, into the street.

As soon as they turn into a nearby alley, Tommy drops to lean against the wall as they all catch their breath.

“Well, that was eventful.” He whispers loud enough for them to hear and a short chuckle is the only response to his comment.

For a few minutes, there are just the sounds of heavy breathing and coughing as they all stand in that alleyway. Eventually, Tommy sits up straighter and wipes his face.

“Thanks, guys.”

The one wearing the ram mask removes it and reveals his face.

“And, that was badass when you rammed that guy, Tubbo.” Tommy laughs loud as he lightly punches his friend in the arm.

“Thanks, Boss Man.”

“Ranboo-” The masquerade masked man raises his head, “I honestly thought we were going to be caught when we were running from those guards.”

Ranboo grins slightly and nods in agreement.

“Well, what now?”

“We should probably get back to Wilbur.”

“Touché.”
