Chapter Text

A portal opened above Azur Lane's HQ as a white humanoid robot appeared out of it with elongated arms and legs and a "tail" attached to its center back a pair of semi-large hands where at the ends of it's arms both lined with large golden claws, it's feet resembled high heel shoes, it's "chest" had a pair of gold colored "vents" while the it's shoulder blades on the front where colored blue as the area of it's chest right below the chin was colored red with a white flower emblem. It's head was white with some black and a set of golden horns that almost resembled a crown and a red pointed chin that almost resembled a beard. It's green eyes scanning the area as it's body was covered in cracks. It landed next to a hangar before sitting down as a bright light engulfed it's body as darkness overcame its vision.

Belfast, Enterprise and the commander all approached a nearby hangar to check out a new shipment of planes that had arrived for the Carriers. They entered the hangar as they examined the planes. Enterprise picked one up as she examined it it wasn't to heavy and it wasn't to light either. It seemed to be a perfect plane for any Carrier but at the same time she preferred lightly armored planes since those tended to be much faster than others. Belfast looked over as she saw a man dressed slumped up against a wall. He was wearing a white jacket over a custom vest that had blue shoulders, golden yellow chest area and the rest of it being colored white, he wore white pants with white shoes that had red soles, he also had a black shirt on underneath the vest and jacket with a red puff tie around his neck stuffed under his vest, he was wearing a pair of fingerless gloves that had the backs of the hands colored white, the palms black on his back was a white backpack with a large flap hanging down on the bottom of it that was white mear the base but gold meat the tip. The man's hair was a golden blonde color with some black in it as Belfast looked towards Enterprise and the commander.

"COMMANDER COME QUICK" Belfast called out as Enterprise and the commander saw the man and came running as they saw he was unconscious. They instantly began talking about what they should do with the man as he woke up his green eyes looking around before noticing the two females and one male talking as he got up and jumped back several feet performing a backflip in mid air as he landed. He looked at them confused before an image of a large armored robot appeared behind him as wisdom cubes surrounded his body. A bright light engulfed his body as the man now had an armored breastplate that resembled his vest covering his upper body, armored gloves with large golden claws covering his hands, an armored belt that had an armored mini skirt attached, armored high heel shoes that looked like his previous shoes, and theblower half of his face was covered by a pale white mask that resembled a vent as a red pointed chin extended out from it. He summoned a large mace as he held it in one hand as he looked at then with glowing green eyes. Enterprise although confused at first summoned her rigging she got ready to fight. The man rushed Enterprise as she released a volley of her energy like arrows. They hit their mark but what shocked everyone was that they bounced off almost ricocheting off this mystery man's body. He then surprised everyone as he extended the grip of his mace turning it into a pole arm weapon as he had the tip of it against Enterprise's throat. The commander approached the man pulling out a revolver as he held it to the man's head Belfast intervened.

"STOP" Belfast shouted as everyone looked at her she approached the man he looked at her. "Who are you"

The man finally spoke as he gave his name.

"MSG Barbatos Lupus Rex" Barbatos said as The commander looked surprised.

"You arrived earlier than expected" the commander said as he remembered his superiors telling him that a man with that name would be arriving to the base alongside another. "Where's Gusion"

"Unknown" Barbatos said as the commander sighed before holding out his hand to Barbatos.

"Either way welcome to Azur Lane" the commander said as Barbatos dematerialzed his armor and weapon before walking away. Belfast looked at him as part of her found his demeanor rude but another part of her found this attitude of his somewhat attractive.

Chapter Text

Barbatos walked through the base as he decided to find the training area and hone his skills with his mace. As he walked he was watched by the various ship girls on the base as one of them approached him.

"HALT" a commanding voice said as Barbatos stopped only to take on glance at her as he grunted in response. "Who are you"

"None if your business child" Barbatos said as the ship girl gained a tick mark on her head.

"HOW DARE YOU" The ship girl shouted at the Gundam in anger. "I AM"

"Dont care" Barbatos said as the ship girl finally lost it and summoned her rigging as Barbatos summoned his armor surprising her as she fired Barbatos swung his mace to side sending the large bullets into a nearby building as it partially collapsed screams where heard as small child like ship girls came running out. Another ship girl stepped out as she summoned her rigging which was similar to Enterprise's.

"Queen Elizabeth who is this" the ship girl asked as the younger ship girl replied.

"A prick Centaur" Queen Elizabeth replied as Barbatos looked at Centaur. When he did she flinched she accidentally fired an energy arrow at Barbatos which ricocheted off his shoulder and struck Queen Elizabeth's rigging severely damaging it as she cried out in pain.

"QUEEN ELIZABETH" Centaur shouted in shock as she got another energy arrow ready and fired again this time aiming for Barbatos's head as it hit it's mark but bounced off. "WHAT"

"Was that supposed to hurt" Barbatos asked annoyed as Centaur fired a volley of arrows as they all hit Barbatos but either bounced off or ricocheted into something else. To of her arrows had actually collided with each other mid air after the first one ricocheted off her foe. "That's not going to work"

"How" Centaur asked as Barbatos looked at her.

"My armor is immune to energy weapons" Barbatos said as he approached Centraur as various ship girls summoned their riggings. Barbatos looked around as the commander came running.

"STOP HE'S OUR NEW RECRUIT" The commander shouted as everyone looked at him as he caught his breath after some explanations the commander sighed. He assigned Queen Elizabeth to mess hall duty and Centaur and Barbatos to bathroom duty. He figured that was the best punishment he come up with since Queen Elizabeth attacked the gundam over a misunderstanding and Centaur for aiding her. Barbatos was also being punished since he technically redirected Queen Elizabeth's bullets into a building damaging it. However Queen Elizabeth was being sent to the medical bay to get examined since her rigging was severely damaged. The commander groaned as he now realized that with Barbatos's attitude some of the more hot headed ship girls were bound to probably attack him. "This is going to be a long war"

Chapter Text

Barbatos had been at the base for a week now as the commander wondered where Gusion was. He had contacted HQ and they told him the gundam had been deployed but his tracking device had shutdown so no one could tell where he was. He took a sip of his coffee as he wondered if the arrival of the gundams was an omen or not.

Meanwhile...

A new type of siren stepped out of a portal and onto the mountain overlooking the base of Azur Lane her body was covered in black armor from head to toe with six glowing red eyes adorning her helmet's faceplate. She held out her hand as a holographic popped up revealing a shadowy figure with glowing red eyes staring at her.

"This is Silencer reporting in" Silencer said as the figure stared at her. "Permission to engage sir"

"Granted" a Male voice said as Silencer nodded.

"Understood sir" Silencer said as she ended the call and got a strange alien ship shaped sniper rifle ready as she took aim. She saw a man dressed in mostly white as he stopped and looked at her. The state she got made her flinch.

Meanwhile...

Enterprise and Centaur were walking with Barbatos when he stopped and started the Mountainm they were showing him around until he stopped without warning.

"Is something wrong" Centaur asked as Barbatos summoned his armor as he got his mace ready. "What are you"

Barbatos flew through the air as he landed behind his target. The female siren looked at him confused for a moment before she spun around aim her rifle as Barbatos slammed his mace into the barrel of the weapon snapping it in half shocking the siren he gripped his mace like a baseball bat and hit the siren girl with it sending her crashing into the pavement of the docks as Centaur and Enterprise were surprised until Barbatos landed on top of the siren roughly crouching as he did so to maximize the impact as the ground catered and sent a tidal wave out to sea as the siren coughed up blood. Barbatos pressed the pomel of his mace between her breasts as she looked at Centaur and Enterprise saying only two words.

"Help... me" Silencer said as Barbatos extended the grip of his mace turning it into a pole arm as the pomel impaled Silencer through her heart killing her instantly while at the same time sending blood flying into the air. Barbatos ripped the mace out of Silencer's chest as he walked around to her side as he raised the mace over his head as Enterprise and Centaur watched the brutality of the gundam as he slammed the mace into Silencer's head crushing into a bloody paste.

"He's a monster" Centaur said in shock as Enterprise spoke up.

"No" Enterprise said seeing Barbatos covered in blood. "He's a demon"

Chapter Text

Barbatos walked through the base as he looked around before sitting down on a bench as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He then pulled out a box of matches as he lot it before lighting his cigarette. He smoked the cigarette as he looked at the book the commander gave him it was more or less a rule book for what was and wasn't permitted on the base.

Meanwhile...

A portal opened above the base of Azur Lane as a man dressed in a khaki leather jack, khaki pants, a black shirt black gloves and khaki shoes stepped out. He looked around his green eyes scanning the area as he saw him. Barbatos sitting on a bench. He smiled as he summoned his own armor consisting of a shield like object resting over his lower back, a strange backpack with a pair of mechanical arms, an armored breastplate, and a strange visor that had a single lense in the center possibly designed for marksmen. For his weapons he pulled out a large halberd he gripped it in his human hands while robotic hands gripped a pair of rifles as he aimed one at Barbatos. He carefully took aim before squeezing the trigger as the bullet hit it's mark and split the cigarette in the Gundam's mouth in half as he looked over glaring as he summoned his armor. The new arrival barely had time to react as Barbatos pinned him to the ground beneath an outdoor lamp as Barbatos instantly recognized his for.

"Miss me" The man asked as Barbatos punched the man in his scalp earning a pained yelp from him as he covered his head.

"Your lucky I recognized you so quickly Gusion" Barbatos said as the man stood up as the commander and Enterprise approached them. "Commander this is the other recruit who finally arrived MSG Gusion Rebake"

Gusion flipped Barbatos off as he either didn't notice or care. The new gundam bowed before the commander as he looked at Gusion confused.

"What he said but anyways I'm great at sniping from a distance and close quarters combat is a breeze thanks to my halberd" Gusion said as the commander looked at him surprised. "Before you even ask why I was so late I am not the best at navigating"

Barbatos face palmed upon hearing this.

"So you got lost dumb ass" Barbatos asked as Gusion looked at him angrily.

"OI FUCK OFF YA MOODY WOLF PRICK" Gusion shouted as Barbatos glared at him from the corner of his eye. "OH REAL SCARY"

Gusion and Barbatos began to argue as the commander groaned wondering if Gusion was going to be equally bad if not worse than Barbatos with his attitude. Enterprise parted his back as a single thought came to his mind again.

'This is definitely going to be a long ass war' the commander thought as Barbatos and Gusion where still arguing.

Chapter Text

A man sat in an ornate chair as he was obscured by darkness. He appeared to be sleeping as a door opened nearby. He grunted as Purifier stepped inside.

"Ready for your first assignment" Purifier asked as the man sat there. "I'll take that as a yes here's the coordinates to Azur Lane's base go ahead and take care of Barbatos"

The man opened his eyes as they glowed red.

"Anything else I should know" the man asked as Purifier shook her head.

"Just get it done" Purifier said leaving before taking a glance over her shoulder. "Dont fail us Bael"

Meanwhile...

Barbatos stepped outside as he had been here a couple of months now. Gusion wasn't making the adjustment to the base any easier but as far as Barbatos knew for the time being this was home. Belfast had given Barbatos an emergency radio which could be both cranked and solar powered and told him to take a break. Barbatos would have objected but something about the ship girl made him think twice about said objection. Barbatos then thought of the maid as he slowly noticed how she always seemed to be looking out for him. Of course he could be imagining but still it made him wonder. He began cranking the small handheld radio as he did so for roughly a half hour. He then turned it on as he began flipping through the channels before finding some oddly soothing and almost classical the music continued to play until a voice spoke up.

[Thank you for tuning into Big Kahuna Radio] a male voice said as Barbatos didn't mind listening. [I'm your host Kahuna Honu and today we got warm weather, clear skies and a daily dose of the update to war against the Sirens]

Barbatos continued to listen as he was genuinely curious.

[Although there have not been any major conflicts there have been rumors that Azur Lane has received a pair of new recruits] Kahuna Honu said before continuing as Barbatos remembered that Azur Lane did disclose non-classified information to public for both PR reasons and to also let the public know that there were people out here fighting for them. [Not a lot has been disclosed about these troops save for their names so if your listening out there I'd like to thank both Barbatos and Gusion for choosing to fight against the sirens]

Kahuna Honu continued with his report as Barbatos listened.

[To the both of you I raise my glass of Hawaiian Sun Fruit Punch in your name] Kahuna Honu said before continuing. [Hawaiian Sun it's always sunny in Hawaii so enjoy the taste of summer all year long with Hawaiian Sun and they're multiple flavors]

Barbatos rolled his eyes upon hearing the ad as he continued to listen.

[Now to go with these clear blue skies I think some music from The King of Rock and Roll himself Elvis Presley and his song Blue Hawaii would be perfect] Kahuna Honu said as the song began to play. Barbatos happily listened to the old school rock song as he kept walking through the base. He was completely unaware that he was not only smiling but also being followed. As Barbatos stopped for a moment to to reach into his pocket he heard someone running up behind him as he leaned to the side however the radio was destroyed by a sword with a black grip and guard and a golden yellow blade as a "gundam" rushed forward. He was completely covered in armor and has a pair of wings on his back with thrusters built into them his glowing red eyes looked at Barbatos as the gundam looked at the damaged radio then the new gundam as he became angry and summoned his own armor as he slammed his mace into his foe's sword.

"Yiu bastard that was a gift from my friend" Barbatos said angrily as he realized what he said confusing himself long enough for his foe to draw a second sword and slashing him across the chest sending him back a few feet. His opponent had his arms at his sides as he looked at Barbatos. "Who are you"

"I am MSG Bael" Bael said as he got his swords ready. "And I will be the one to strike you down White Wolf of Azur Lane"

Chapter Text

Barbatos was sent flying back as he stopped several yards away as Bael rushed him again repeatedly slamming his swords into Barbatos's mace as the gundam struggled to keep up with his foe. Bael pressed on with his assault as Barbatos was forced to do little more than repeatedly block the incoming attacks. As the two of them fought through out the base Barbatos decided he needed to up his game as he finally managed to push Bael back.

"Initiate Armor Phase II Full Armor" Barbatos said now his armor completely covered his body. He now resembled a robot instead of an armored human. Barbatos extended his mace into it's full length pole arm form as he got ready. "Your not going anywhere"

Barbatos rushed Bael slamming his mace into Bael's swords with so much force that all of the glass in the surrounding area shattered from the force of the impact. Barbatos swung his mace at Bael managing to hit one of his wings severely damaging it as Bael stabbed him in his right leg. Barbatos head butted Bael as he arched his head bag recoiling in pain as Barbatos punched him in his abdomen. He then pulled out Bael's sword as he stabbed Bael in his arm. He kicked Bael back as the gundam recovered his other sword as Tester appeared between them.

"Bael change of plans your needed back at base" Tester said as Barbatos swung his mace at her only for it to phase right through her. "Did you really think I'd be stupid enough to actually appear before you physically"

Barbatos watched as Bael disappeared into a portal just as Belfast, Enterprise and the commander came running to him. He collapsed onto one knee as his armor dissapeared completely as everything went black.

Chapter Text

Barbatos slowly woke up as he felt something around leg and saw a cast around it. He noticed that his leg was hosted in the air with a contraption keeping it in place so as to prevent any further harm. He sighed as he laid back staring at the ceiling as the curtain in front of him was pulled back. He looked up and says Belfast standing there holding a tray of food as he looked at her surprised.

"I brought you breakfast" Belfast said as she set it in front of Barbatos as he looked at the tray of food and saw an omelet stuffed with bacon, ham, onions and cheese along with a stack of pancakes with some butter and enough syrup to for each of the small hotcakes. He also saw a cup of tea with some milk, some sugar cubes and some honey. He looked at Belfast as she smiled at him. With some help Barbatos managed to sit up as he mixed the tea with the milk, two cubes of sugar and some honey as he stirred it for a few minutes before taking a sip. It was good as he carefully took his fork and knife and began to eat the omelet as he found it quite delicious. While he did more often eat breakfast sandwiches and protein bars he found this more delicious. He continued to eat and eventually finished as and wiped his mouth with a napkin. Belfast looked at him as he looked at her. Barbatos smiled at her as he thanked her. She then produced a new emergency radio and gave it to him.

"Belfast you didn't have to" Barbatos said as Belfast shook her head.

"No I wanted to do this for you" Belfast said as Barbatos looked visibly confused. "To be fair your somewhat rude antisocial and quite frankly an ass"

Barbatos scratched the back of his head as he thought she did have a point.

"But at the same time you show that you care for the rest of us" Belfast said as Barbatos looked at her. "I know you sometimes read bed time stories to the younger shop girls and tuck them into bed"

"To be fair they asked me to" Barbatos said as Belfast continued.

"You also help some of the stronger ship girls with heavy lifting such as moving cargo around" Belfast said as Barbatos spoke up.

"The more people that help the faster it gets done" Barbatos said as Belfast continued.

"And you also feed the Meowficers and Manjuu at breakfast, lunch and dinner even sometimes giving them treats between meals" Belfast said smugly wondering what excuse Barbatos had for that.

"Well I er I mean" Barbatos tried to give an explanation as he sighed in defeat. "Ok fine their adorable and I just figured it's easier to feed them at designated feeding times with the occasional snack"

"That's what I thought" Belfast said as Barbatos rolled his eyes.

"Ok fine guilty as charged" Barbatos said as Belfast smiled. "How did you even know all that anyways"

"Your not as discreet as you like to think" Belfast said as Barbatos sighed. "Just know that even with the rough start of your first arrival after seeing what you do in your spare time a lot of us have come to realize that your more kind than you let on"

"Alright Belfast point taken" Barbatos said as he quickly realized something. "Wait whose going to read"

"Hood will take care of reading the younger ship girls bed time stories" Belfast said as Barbatos then brought up another point.

"And the cargo sorting" Barbatos asked.

"The Commander has made a better schedule that doubles the amount of ship girls who work in the cargo bay" Belfast said as Barbatos looked ar her surprised.

"The Manjuu and Meowficers" Barbatos asked curiously.

"All accounted for and thanks to some training now come to the mess hall for designated meal times and have been more or less trained to complete their tasks given to then for a treat if they want one" Belfast said as Barbatos laid back in bed. "Get some rest because once your healed up I have a surprise for you"

"Alright" Barbatos said as he went back to sleep.

Chapter Text

The commander looked at the vacation request in front of him. Belfast had given it to him for two weeks off. As she said she was doing this for a good friend and bringing them along. He signed the paperwork as he got to the next vacation request and was surprised to see the name on it.

"Is she going with Barbatos" The commander asked aloud to himself.

Meanwhile...

Barbatos was finally free from the medical ward as he was finally discharged. His leg was fully healed as he saw Belfast up ahead. He approached her as she looked at him and smiled. Barbatos returned the smile as the commander approached the two of them.

"Alright Belfast I've approved your request so you and Barbatos are free to leave the base whenever you are ready" the commander said as Belfast nodded.

"Thank you Commander" Belfast said as she led Barbatos was confused. She led him to a nearby civilian model plane where Enterprise waited for them. As the two of them approached Enterprise smiled.

"She's all fueled up and ready whenever you two are" Enterprise said as Barbatos was still confused.

"Thank you Enterprise" Belfast said as Barbatos looked at her.

"Where are we going" Barbatos asked as Belfast smiled.

"Somewhere fun" Belfast said as Barbatos tilted his head to side as they got onto the plane.

"Alright next stop Hawaii" Enterprise said as Barbatos was still confused.

"Hawaii" Barbatos asked as Belfast looked at him.

"You'll see when we get there" Belfast said as Barbatos shrugged and waited with Belfast through the flight. After awhile Enterprise looked behind her and saw Barbatos and Belfast had both fallen asleep resting their heads on top of each other's. She smiled as she turned back to flying.

"They'd make one hell of a cute couple" Enterprise said as she continued flying.

Chapter Text

Enterprise landed the plane as Barbatos and Belfast woke up they got changed as Belfast changed into a Hawaiian floral print shirt and black skirt with sandals while Barbatos changed into a navy blue polo with white palm trees printed on it with black cargo shorts and brown hiking boots. They stepped off the plane as they saw several civilians approaching them. As a woman placed a blue and purple flower lei around Breakfast's neck as another placed a white and blue flower lei around Barbatos's.

"Aloha welcome to Hawaii" an enthusiastic young man said as Barbatos looked around seeing the airport. "We hope you enjoy your stay"

"Of course thank you" Belfast said as Barbatos picked up a duffel bag, a suit case, a backpack and a rolling luggage bag if some sort. Belfast offered to help but he politely declined as he carried it all effortlessly. They eventually exited the airport and hailed a cab as they arrived at a hotel.

"Would the two of you like to share a room" the receptionist asked both Barbatos and Belfast blushed. "I can give you the couple's suite on the top floor for a little extra"

Barbatos without thinking more or less blurted out his answer.

"S-sure" Barbatos said as Belfast blushed harder. He paid for the room as they took the elevator up as they waited in silence as instrumental Hawaiian music started playing. The doors eventually opened as Barbatos saw a small hallway leading to double doors as he walked up and opened them with the key card. He held the door open for Belfast as she stepped inside and was surprised by what she saw. Barbatos entered and he to was stunned as the suite had a second floor. He saw that the suite had an indoor jacuzzi, a stereo, an indoor theater, a minibar, a luxury bathroom and a queen sized bed. Barbatos then saw the view from the large window that was an entire wall as he saw the ocean and the beach outside. He walked up to the window as he was mesmerized by the view. "I don't know what to say"

"It's beautiful" Belfast said as Barbatos looked at her.

"Yeah it is" Barbatos said as Belfast looked at him. "About sleeping arrangements you can have the bed I'll take the couch"

"No you take the bed I'll take the couch" Belfast said as Barbatos andujar argued before Belfast said something that made them both blush. "We'll both share the bed then"

Barbatos blushed as did Belfast as Barbatos decided to turn on the radio as a song ended and a familiar voice spoke up.

[This is Big Kahuna Radio and I'm your host Kahuna Honu] Kahuna Honu said as he gave his usual report and add. [Now kick back and relax as we play My Little Grass Shack by Lisa Loeb]

The song started to play as Barbatos sat back as he pulled out a cigarette and match as he lit it and took a drag off it.

"This is pretty relaxing" Barbatos said as he heard Belfast gagging as he saw her covering her nose. "Something wrong"

"Sorry it's just I can't stand the smell of burning tobacco" Belfast said as Barbatos looked at his cigarette and put it out in the ashtray. "You didn't have to do that"

"If the smell bothers you then I won't smoke while your in the room" Barbatos said as Belfast looked at him. "It'd be rude if I didn't take something like what you said into consideration"

Belfast smiled as Barbatos continued to listen to the music.

"You really like Hawaiian music" Belfast asked as Barbatos nodded.

"It's calming and relaxing and even invigorating in some cases" Barbatos said as Belfast sat next to him. "And Kahuna Honu is a great DJ"

"Truth be told I prefer classical music but this is also good" Belfast said as Barbatos nodded.

"What do you want to do tomorrow" Barbatos asked as Belfast thought for a moment.

"Why not look around first then decide" Belfast asked as Barbatos smiled.

"Sure" Barbatos said as he and Belfast sat on the couch relaxing.

Chapter Text

Barbatos walked along the beach dressed in a pair of black swim trunks with the left leg dyed blue so as to depict a palm tree at dawn he also had on a black swim shirt. Belfast said she'd meet him here as he waited. Barbatos turned around and saw Belfast as he blushed seeing her in a white two piece bikini with a white cloth ties around her waist she approached Barbatos as he looked at the sky as the smell of copper filled his nose.

"How do I look" Belfast asked nervously as the cute but nervous expression she gave Barbatos sent blood gushing out of his nose as he grabbed his nose.

"Crap I think I lost a couple of ounces of blood" Barbatos said as Belfast got worried "I'm fine you look fine"

"Alright" Belfast said as they came across a surf board rental place. Belfast and Barbatos looked at each other as they rented a pair of surf boards. They took them out to sea as Barbatos found it difficult to gain his balance.

"Barbatos you alright" Belfast asked as Barbatos gave her a thumbs up. "Are you sure"

"Yeah I'm s- OH SHIT" Barbatos shouted cutting himself off mid sentence as the surf board flew out from under his feet as he fell back first into the water. He came to the surface as he gave Belfast as he gave her a thumbs up the surf board slammed into his head. "OW"

Some surfers nearby started laughing at Barbatos as he rubbed his head. He decided to float on his back as Belfast helped him out just as a wave crashed own on them. Barbatos groaned as he and Belfast washed up on shore. Belfast sat up as she saw Barbatos holding his shirt out to her while looking away as he was blushing as she was confused. She looked down and screamed as she covered herself as she quickly put on Barbatos's shirt as a white bikini top floated in the water nearby.

Chapter Text

Barbatos and Belfast decided to visit a bar as they approached it. It was called Tiki Star Lounge as they walked inside. It was decorated with bamboo and tiki statues. The ceiling was decorated to resemble a night sky as Barbatos was impressed with decor. Both Belfast and Barbatos approached the bar ad the bartender looked at them.

"Aloha what will you have" The bartender asked as Belfast ordered a Piña Colada while Barbatos order a Blue Lagoon. Barbatos looked over as he saw someone fly off of something and land on a padded floor he became curious as he saw what appeared to be a strange machine made to resemble a bull.

"Who else wants to take on the mechanical bull" a man asked as Barbatos grew curious and approached. "We have a new challenger that'll be $100 please for the entry fee"

"A $100" Barbatos asked as the man nodded.

"If you win you get 50% of the profits from the others who failed" the man said as Barbatos looked at him.

"What's the high score" Barbatos asked.

"One minute" the man said as Barbatos decided to wager.

"How about I pay double and go for double or nothing" Barbatos asked as the man looked impressed.

"Alright kid $200 and if you win you get all the profits made up to this point" the man said as Barbatos held out his hand.

"Deal" Barbatos said as the man shook his hand as he then paid up.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen we have a new challenger what's your name kid" The man asked.

"Barbatos" Barbatos said as the man looked surprised. He walked up to Barbatos.

"You mean Barbatos from Azur Lane" the man asked as Barbatos showed him his ID as he scanned it and got back a positive read. "Alright ladies and gentlemen looks like we got ourselves a celebrity in the house so out your hands together for Barbatos"

The song Tiny Bubbles by Don Ho started to play as Barbatos balanced himself on the bull as the beginning was just orchestral. He looked over as he saw Belfast watching as he decided to put on a little flare. Just as the mechanical bull bucked itself forward Barbatos was thrown into the air as everyone thought he was done for until he landed on the bull standing on it's back as everyone was shocked. What happened next was that Barbatos started dancing on it as it bucked back and forth. He timed his steps and and jumps to the bucking of the bull as he moved his hips in unison with the bull's movements. He kept dancing as the bull kept moving as everyone stared in shock. Belfast found herself mesmerized by Barbatos's movements as he kept dancing never losing his rhythm or his balance as the song eventually ended as did the bull as Barbatos jumped once more this time landing on a sitting position as he looked at everyone and saw them staring as the bar was quiet. The whole bar erupted into cheers as the man approached Barbatos with the money he owed him.

"A deal's a deal Barbatos" the man said with a smile on his face. "That was one hell of a show"

"Thanks" Barbatos said accepting the money as he walked back to Belfast. "Evrything alright"

"That was amazing" Belfast said excitedly. "How did you do that"

"Long story short let's just say a gundam's brain is a borderline computer" Barbatos said as Belfast smiled at him. They drank in peace as they ordered more drinks until Barbatos saw that Belfast was getting drunk. He carried her back to their room piggyback style as Belfast was wasted.

"Hey *hic* Barbatos" Belfast said with a blush as Barbatos continued to carry her.

"Yeah Belfast" Barbatos asked as Belfast hiccupped again.

"Why dont we *hic* make things a little more fun *hic* tonight" Belfast askednas Barbatos blushed. He had to admit that while Belfast was beautiful he wouldn't want to take advantage of her while she was drunk. He carefully put her on the bed as she looked at him confused.

"Sorry Belfast but I think that's a question you should ask me when your sober" Barbatos said as Belfast became drowsy and fell asleep Barbatos placed a blanket over her as he walked to the couch and laid on it. He stared up at the ceiling as he sighed. A week had already gone by and he was enjoying the vacation so far. However the more time he spent with Belfast the more he wondered why he had such strong emotions around her. Truth be told the emotions he felt actually made him terrified.

Barbatos and Belfast were walking along the shore as the two of them were having a good time. However Barbatos looked over his shoulder as he pushed Belfast to the ground as he summoned his armor and blocked a golden sword with his mace.

"Who the hell are you" Barbatos as he saw his foe was like him except in his full armor form and covered in magenta armor.

"I am MSG Grimgerde" Grimgerde said as he swung his other sword at Barbatos cutting his arm. "I am here to kill you"

"Yeah well take a ticket" Barbatos said as he pushed Grimgerde back. "Initiate armor phase two full armor"

Barbatos changed into his full armor full as Belfast summoned her rigging as Barbatos clashed with his foe. Belfast took careful aim before firing as Grimgerde jumped back avoiding the shots as they each exploded in sending columns of sand into the air. Barbatos looked over as he saw Grimgerde rushing towards Belfast as he got between them getting stabbed in his abdomen by both of Grimgerde's swords. Barbatos then "stabbed" Grimgerde in his abdomen with his mace as Grimgerde stumbled back while ripping his swords out of Barbato's abdomen. Belfast watched as blood gushed out of both their abdomens as Grimgerde disappeared into a portal while Barbatos vomited blood threw his face mask as he fell backwards onto the beach as Belfast knelt down as she placed his head on her knees. Barbatos reverted back to normal as he stated at Belfast her face appearing upside down from his view as he could see she was almost crying.

"Why are you crying" Barbatos asked weakly as he wasn't dying but rather in a lot of pain.

"You could have died" Belfast said as Barbatos looked at her.

"You know I have to risk my life" Barbatos said as Belfast shook her head.

"No that was reckless" Belfast said as she looked at him. "Why would you do that"

Barbatos was confused as Belfast continued.

"You dumb ass dont you know there are people who care about you" Belfast asked as Barbatos stared at her.

"What" Barbatos asked confused as Belfast snapped.

"FOR FUCKS SAKE YOU DENSE IDIOT I LOVE YOU" Belfast shouted tears falling from her eyes as Barbatos then realized why Belfast was so nice to him. Everything she did for him was because she cared as more than a friend and he misunderstood her reasoning and hints. Barbatos carefully placed a hand on her face.

"Belfast" Barbatos said as she looked at him. He didn't know why but his body moved on it's own as he kissed her. She was surprised but quickly melted into it as the eventually separated.

"Do you love me as well" Belfast asked as Barbatos looked at her.

"Yes" Barbatos said as Belfast helped him up. They began to walk back to their room. She knew how to patch him up thanks to some classes she took at the base.

"I'll fix you up at the room alright" Belfast said as Barbatos nodded as they continued their trek.

'If this is what love feels like then it is both amazing and scary as hell' Barbatos thought as they continued walking. 'However I do know one thing and that's that I want to be with you Belfast and I will protect you to my last breath'

Belfast had finished patching up Barbatos's wounds as she let him rest on the bed. She was extra careful in not getting any bloodstains on anything and had thankfully managed to convince the hotel staff that the reason why he wasn't walking well was because he was drunk. She stepped outside onto the suite's balcony as she pulled out a satellite phone to call the base.

[Hello] a groggy voice asked as Belfast recognized it as Enterprise.

"Hi Enterprise it's Belfast I was wondering if you could pick us up tomorrow" Belfast asked as Enterprise became curious.

[Your not due back for another four days did something happen] Enterprise asked as Belfast told her what happened. [Yeah no get ready asap because I'm leaving now see you in a few hours]

Belfast went about packing the bags as she got changed into her uniform as Barbatos woke up.

"Did something happen" Barbatos asked as Belfast handed him his uniform.

"Get changed we're leaving in a few hours I told Enterprise and she's coming to pick us up" Belfast said as Barbatos did so Belfast had already finished as she sat down. She placed a hand over her face as she seemed upset as Barbatos got his pants and shoes on as he walked up behind her. "Dammit I wanted this vacation to be special to get to know you not end early with you nearly dying"

"Belfast it's alright" Barbatos said as she looked at him he hugged her as she returned the hug. "It's not your fault and besides I still had fun"

"Really" Belfast asked as Barbatos looked at her.

"Yeah I mean what's a little prick to the torso" Barbatos asked as he looked at her smiling. "If anything it's just some battle scars"

Belfast shook her head as she looked at him.

"You know for someone who acts like a hard ass you can be goofy sometimes" Belfast said as Barbatos rubbed his head. "Why were you such a hard ass anyways"

Barbatos looked down as he sighed. He figured he might as well tell her.

"When I was first created I had multiple different bodies that the higher ups had me use" Barbatos said as Belfast looked at him. "Each time I fought I'd nearly die and then they'd rebuild me into a new body with upgrades such as better armor, new weapons or even both"

Barbatos looked down as he frowned.

"I was just a test subject that they eventually deemed completed they thought I lost my memories each time I "died" and figured the next me wouldn't care about being built off the previous me's failures" Barbatos looked at Belfast as she saw the look in his eyes the look of someone who had been through hell. "They were wrong and to make matters worse they did the same to Gusion"

"So you really do care about him" Belfast said as Barbatos looked down.

"I do but when you consider what I had been through it made me think having any sort of relationship whether it was friendly, familial or romantic was pointless" Barbatos said as Belfast seemed shocked as he continued. "Hell what we have right now between us part of me wants it to work and another part of me doesn't because of how scary this all is"

"Barbatos" Belfast said as he looked at her. "Any kind of romantic relationship can be terrifying and for good reason but what you need to understand is that if you truly love the person who you are in such a relationship with you can work past that fear and make it work"

"Belfast I know we just started our relationship and all but I still cant help but wonder" Barbatos said as she looked at him. "How I managed to not only get a beautiful girl like you but also one who is kind, caring and smart to fall for some mechanical devil like me"

Belfast smiled as she kissed Barbatos as they finished packing and waited for Enterprise to call them.

Chapter Text

Barbatos and Belfast got to the airport as Enterprise was going to be arriving soon. They waited near a runway as people inside the airport were wondering why they were there. However that curiosity was soon ended as a strange woman appeared in the air with a strange machine hovering behind her body as it glowed yellow before firing a beam of yellow energy at the main building of the airport causing it to explode sending broken glass, shrapnel and debris flying in various directions. Barbatos tackled Belfast to the ground to avoid a large piece of debris from hitting them as he looked up and saw the carnage. He immediately summoned his armor as he went into his full armor form.and rushed towards the building while Belfast summoned her ringing. Barbatos got to the destroyed building as he moved some debris to the side and what he saw made him snap as he saw a dead woman holding her dead child. Barbatos looked around before seeing the culprit as his anger overcame him. He rushed the siren as Grimgerde appeared between them and kicked him into the runway below. Barbatos held his mace up as Grimgerde slammed his swords into it causing the ground around them to crack and crater. Barbatos looked at Grimgerde with pure hatred as he decided he had enough of him.

"Deactivate safety inhibitors" Barbatos said as a warning sign flashed in his eyes. "Override code Alpha Omega 216"

The code was accepted as Barbatos could feel his body becoming hotter and hotter.

"Maximize power output to limbs and thrusters" Barbatos said as he began to push Grimgerde back. "Initiate Alaya-Vijnana System override code Alpha Devil 666"

Barbatos's eyes flashed red as he swung his mace to the side sending Grimgerde crashing into a nearby plane that was luckily devoid of anyone on board it as it exploded from the sudden impact. Barbatos let out a battle cry as he felt every inch of his body scream in pain and defiance to what he was doing as red "electricity" poured from his red eyes. He felt stronger but at the same time all he felt from this new strength was pain. Pain that he would turn into strength and in turn inflict said pain onto his enemies.

Chapter Text

Belfast fired at Purifier as the siren dodged with ease while taunting her.

"For a maid your not very efficient" Purifier said as she dodged more gunfire from Belfast. The two of them continued to engage in their fire fight as Purifier saw something out of the corner of her eye as she turned and saw Grimgerde flying at her as he crashed into her and the two of them crashed into the ground below. Belfast looked to the side as she Barbatos with glowing red eyes as he carried his mace extended into a pole arm dragging the tipe of it on the ground as he walked. She flinched upon seeing Barbatos like this as the gundam rushed Grimgerde and Purifier. Grimgerde got his swords ready as Barbatos appeared in front of him so fast it was almost like he had teleported. Barbatos swung his mace at Grimgerde's midsection with so much force he split him in half as blood gushed out of his waistline as Grimgerde appeared to be shocked at his own death as everything went offline followed by his body exploding as smoke and flames enveloped Barbatos. Purifier looked at Barbatos in shock as he turned to face her the glowing red eyes of his face conveyed only one message to her and it was death. Purifier actually became afraid as she took a couple of steps back as Barbatos walked out of the flames unscathed. Belfast could only watch in shock at the brutality of her boyfriend as she knew that despite Purifier being the enemy that what Barbatos was doing was pure overkill. Belfast watched as Barbatos got his mace ready to strike the siren down as Belfast got between as Barbatos stopped his mace a couple of inches away from her face as he seemed shocked.

"Barbatos please stop you've already won" Belfast said tears in her eyes as Barbatos walked around her to get to Purifier. "Barbatos dont do this"

Barbatos got his mace ready again as Belfast got between them again however this time Barbatos wasn't able to stop himself as he struck Belfast with his mace sending her flying back several feet as he realized what he did. In the confusion Purifier escaped as Barbatos ran up to Belfast as she laid on her back blood leaking down the left side of her face as Barbatos looked at his hands as they were shaking. He had done the one thing he could never forgive himself for and that was the fact he hurt the woman he loved. The plane along with Enterprise arrived as paramedics, police and fire fighters cleared the airport. Enterprise had luckily managed to convince them that they were apart if Azur Lane and were going to rectify the situation. Enterprise walked up to Barbatos as he carried Belfast onto the plane staying silent the whole time as Enterprise wondered what had happened. She then watched as Barbatos stepped off the plane and looked at her.

"Tell Belfast when she wakes up that I'm sorry" Barbatos said as he activated his thrusters and flew away before Enterprise could protest or ask what had happened. Enterprise then wondered what had happened between the two of them as she got into the plane and decided to fly back to base to file her report.

Chapter Text

Belfast laid in a bed in the medical ward of Azur Lane Base as she soon woke up as she looked around as the door to her room opened and the commander and Enterprise walked in. She looked at them as the commander sat down next to her.

"How are you feeling" The commander asked as Belfast looked at him.

"I have a slight headache" Belfast said as the commander nodded.

"Understandable since you suffered a concussion" the commander said as Belfast seemed confused.

"Where's Barbatos" Belfast asked as Enterprise looked away. "Did something happen"

The commander looked at Enterprise as she spoke up.

"We dont know" Enterprise said as she looked at Belfast. "Shortly after I arrived to pick you up he put you on the plane and left he told me to tell you when you woke up he was sorry"

Belfast felt tears come to her eyes as Enterprise looked down.

"What happened at the airport" the commander asked as Belfast told him about what happened. "We need to find him"

"What" Belfast asked as the commander looked at her.

"Barbatos is a valuable soldier and a good ally from what you told me and from Enterprise's report it sounds like he snapped at the death and destruction that happened during the battle" the commander said as Belfast still didn't know where the commander was going with this. "Despite being an ass hole he still has a heart of gold"

Belfast looked down as the commander looked at her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"We'll bring him back Belfast I promise" The commander said as he left with Enterprise. Belfast grippednthe sheets of her bed tightly as she began to sob unaware that the commander and Enterprise were listening in on her. "You really do care about him Belfast"

Chapter Text

The Sirens had arrived off the coast of Rio as they moved inland to destroy the area. However just as they were a few miles off the beach the water exploded in front of then sending a tower of blue high into the air in front of them as a silhouette could be seen within with glowing red eyes. One of the sirens rushed in to investigate and eliminate the target within as the water came crashing back down around it to reveal to it's shock Barbatos as he grabbed it by the face and without any hesitation or difficulty crushed its skull in his grasp killing it as its blood stained his armor. He let its dead body fall into the ocean as he stared those things down with every intent on killing them. He got close to another Siren as he caved it's head in with his mace sending more blood splashing on his armor as the Sirens came out of their shock and opened fire all at once to blow the Devil Dog of Azur Lane to kingdom come. The explosion sent out a massive cloud of smoke and flames as the Sirens wondered if they had killed him. However that wasn't the case as a golden yellow blade attached to a cable shot out of the smoke and stabbed six Sirens through their chests killing them all instantly as the Sirens released another volley of heavy fire as Barbatos erupted from the smoke his armor covered in soot and cracks as he began to slaughter the Sirens as the fight continued for what felt like hours but only lasted a few minutes as time was but a blur to Barbatos as he landed on the beach as one last Siren was crawling along the sand. Barbatos walked up alongside it as he placed a foot on it's head and crushed it. He looked up as he saw civilians recording him with their phones as he didn't care he turned to leave as he did so.

'I'll kill them all then we can be together' Barbatos thought as he flew through the air with his thrusters at maximum output. 'But first those fuckers need to be slaughtered and I will deliver upon them the genocide they deserve'

Chapter Text

The Commander was looking through reports as he found everyone and everything was mostly fine. However when he turned on the news it was a different story as he saw a video of Barbatos slaughtering Sirens with little effort. However the gundam appeared to be dirty covered in blood and soot. The commander wondered how they would get him back as Gusion walked in with Enterprise.

"We might have a lead for where Barbatos is" Gusion said as the commander looked at him. "Theres a lot of Siren activity just off the coast of Mexico so we think he might be headed there"

"What do you on plan on doing if he shows up" the commander asked as Enterprise spoke up.

"Convince him to come home" Enterprise said as The commander looked at them.

"And if he doesn't listen" the commander asked as Gusion spoke up.

"Then we make him listen by force if we have absolute have to" Gusion said as the commander looked at him. "Barbatos is stubborn and this little AWOL thing is probably going to his head so if he doesn't listen we fight him and tire him out so that he does listen"

"I suppose that's all we can hope for" the commander said as he didn't like the idea of engaging one of his allies in battle even if it was necessary something like this felt excessive and unnecessary but then again Barbatos was technically rogue and probably not going to listen to what they had to say of his own volition. "Get ready we'll head out ourselves and place Lieutenant Commander Isaac Simmons in charge until we get back"

"Yes sir" Gusion said as he left to prepare as did Enterprise. However they were not aware that Belfast was listening in and planned on accompanying them whether they knew about it/liked it or not.
