Brave New World: Artemis

Summary:

My name is Thea Queen. For years I have lived in the shadow of my brother as we fought to save Star City. But now I'm on my own in a new town, trying to make a difference. I'm on my own path now and I intend to show everyone that I'm more than just the Green Arrow's sidekick. I am Artemis. Part 9 of Brave New World Series.

Notes:

Well, the wait is over. Brave New World: Artemis is finally up. I could not put off writing it anymore, but please, since a majority of this is OC, keep in mind I might not update it as much as I do my other stories, simply because instead of just writing old content from the show in a new way, I'm actually creating an entirely new plot. Now anyways, on with Artemis.

Chapter Text

"So, what do you think?" Thea asked as she led Ryan, Cisco, Roy and Nyssa into the old, abandoned, Ivy Town clocktower

"I think I wish your brother had picked Sara's old base to put lair 3.0 instead of his bunker, because I have so many ideas for what I can do to turn this place into a kick ass superhero base." Cisco said.

"Well, to be fair, how can we call the bunker the Arrowcave if it's not underground?" Roy pointed out.

"Good point." Cisco said.

"But I take it that means you like it?" Thea asked, since Cisco was the expert when it came to building superhero bases, since he'd been the one who'd built the bunker and she'd seen Star Labs and honestly, she wouldn't be surprised if some of his technology had led to the tech onboard Sara's ship then Waverider.

"Yeah, I've already got a ton of ideas for this. How many floors?" Cisco asked.

"Counting this one and the basement below it, about 50 and I doubt we'll need all of them." Thea said.

"I agree." Cisco said.

"Then perhaps this would be a good location to run that private detective agency I told you about, since after all, the reason your brother picked the location of his bunker was because his cover for it was his campaign office when he was running for mayor of Star City." Nyssa said.

"She's right. One key to keeping a superhero base secret is to provide a genuine excuse about why you'd be there. When Barry was first starting out, we said that he was spending so much time at Star Labs because he was still receiving treatment after getting hit by lightning. Now his excuse is that he owns it." Cisco said.

"What about Batwoman?" Roy asked.

"According to my sister, who actually fought Batman once, the Gotham vigilante's base of operations is located underneath Wayne Tower." Nyssa said.

"That makes sense, since isn't Bruce Wayne Batman?" Roy asked, since Oliver had clued them in on that.

"Yes he is. Though he did the billionaire CEO cover way better than Ollie did." Thea said.

"To be fair, Bruce Wayne never had to deal with someone like Isabel Rochev." Nyssa said.

"Any idea on where Supergirl operates out of?" Roy asked Cisco.

"Barry said that Kara usually operated out of the DEO headquarters back when she had her own earth, not sure if that's changed, but if it has, I don't know who built her a base or where it is." Cisco said.

"Anyways, can we get back on topic. Before we design this place, shouldn't we give it a name?" Ryan asked.

"I am already loving your choice in tech support." Cisco said.

"Well, I had to follow in the tradition of getting my own nerd. I'm just glad that we have Nyssa to, in addition to her field responsibilities, will also be our team medic." Thea said, since Nyssa did more medical training than they'd thought, since apparently her father had decided that teaching her to patch herself and by extension others, was necessary.

"Though I do think we should try and find an actual medical doctor." Nyssa said.

"We just got to Ivy Town, I don't think we can trust any doctors yet." Thea said.

"Fair point." Nyssa said.

"Okay, so what are we going to call this place?" Roy asked.

"How about, Ground Zero." Cisco said.

"How long have you been saving that one?" Roy asked.

"For years and you can't deny that it works, since this is ground zero for your team. Every mission, every operation starts and ends here." Cisco said.

"Plus it sounds very cool. I like it." Thea said and since it was her base, she had final say.

"Okay, so how exactly are we going to do this, since we can't exactly renovate public property like this without permission?" Ryan said.

"That's why it's not public property anymore. My mom bought this tower for me as a graduation gift." Thea said.

"Okay, let's talk." Cisco said as they began discussing the exact plans for Ground Zero.
