    In a small pocket of time, things felt almost civil - normal. But then, something dangerous was beneath it, and Thor had noticed it nagging at his senses ever since he'd hit sixteen. It had soured every interaction they'd had since.

    For a second, almost, Thor very nearly felt responsible for their ruined relationship. Then, the nagging sensation and the strange, likely misplaced sense of duty fell away to the way Loki's hand felt against his chest.

    Suddenly, he pulled back.
