Chapter 1: Bit One
Chapter Text
Venom 3 : All in the Family
This story won’t be written like a traditional one. I write some parts to include what we as the audience will see and what the camera is doing. Hope that doesn’t bother people too much. Also I’m using he/him pronouns for Venom in keeping with the movies. This will contain mild spoilers from Venom 2, so if you haven’t seen that yet, be warned.
We see a wide shot of the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s sunny and beautiful out. The next shot is the camera slowly moving down to the outside of a familiar apartment. The neon blue lights of the Schuler building aren’t on this early in the morning. The camera moves toward the window.
The next thing we see is a pillow. A dark, clawed hand slides across the surface of the pillow. The music turns dark and ominous just until the hand yanks the pillow back, revealing Eddie Brock’s sleeping face. (This is a direct parallel of Venom one.) The clawed hand then takes the pillow and whaps Eddie in the head with it.
Eddie jolts.
“Good morning~,” Venom coos in his much too deep voice, smacking Eddie again.
Eddie groans and lamely tries to throw the pillow back at the floating hand. He misses.
Another tendril of Venom slides into frame with a mug wrapped up at the end as Venom’s head forms. This new tendril hands Eddie the mug.
“Coffee,” Venom says before moving in to lick Eddie’s cheek.
Eddie makes a face, wipes the slobber off his cheek with his sleeve, and takes a sip. “Mmm,” he grimaces, swallowing, “Did you put chocolate syrup in this?”
“Of course.”
“Ah, yeah, course. Ask a silly question…”
Venom’s limbs are wiggling around, a few stretched out around the shelves in the apartment. “I am making breakfast right now.” He grins in Eddie’s face. “Chocolate chip pancakes!”
Eddie still drinks his coffee and hums. “Sounds nice.” He looks sleepy. It takes a moment and then venom pulls breakfast in. Two plates stacked high with sloppy looking pancakes rest on top of a plastic tray. The pancakes are drenched in syrup. At the last second another tendril brings in a fork. “Ah, breakfast in bed,” Eddie grins, “Somebody’s in a good mood.”
Venom purrs and Eddie reaches out to gently pet his head.
The camera cuts to Eddie and Venom doing dishes. Venom is helping dry them with a towel, tendrils extending from Eddie’s back.
“So, what did you think of that Spider kid?” Eddie asks as he rubs a sponge in circles. Venom only makes a grunting noise in answer. “Didn’t like him, huh?”
“I did not say that.”
Eddie smirks. “You didn’t say you liked ‘im either, bud... It’s okay,” he shrugs his shoulders, “I know he’s not the same species as you or anything.”
Venom scoffs. “If he were, I would like him even less.”
Making a confused noise, Eddie stops washing. “Whaddoyou mean?”
“My kind do not care for our young,” Venom elaborates. “You remember how Carnage tried to kill us! Carnage’s behavior is completely normal among us symbiotes. With us, it is either ‘Eat. Or be Eaten.’ Literally.”
“Oh yeah, I forgot Carnage was your kid… That sounds awful.” Eddie stands there for a minute. Venom hums in agreement.
“Do… do you think that if you have any more, uh… kids, that uh… That they’d be like Carnage?”
Venom is quiet for a long while. When he finally speaks, his voice is soft. “Most likely,” he says, “Those of my kind who are not ruthless and cruel are either eaten… or exiled.”
Eddie blinks a few times, surprised. He leaves whatever question he had unsaid.
“Maybe…” Venom starts, then hesitates.
Setting down the dish he had been holding, Eddie asks, “Yeah, V?”
“Maybe if they grow up with you, Eddie… Maybe our next spawn would not be so… bad.”
Eddie grins, looking almost wistful. “Ya think so?” He looks down into the soapy water in the sink. “I always kinda did want to be a dad, you know?” He looks at Venom, who has formed a head beside him. “Prove to myself that I could be better than my father was.”
“You would make an excellent parent, Eddie,” Venom says.
“Thanks, bud. I appreciate it.” He chuckles. “Never thought I’d be a parent to some weird alien slime monsters, but I suppose it’s something. Now come on, help me clean up. There’s still syrup all over the silverware.”
Cut to the next scene.
Eddie is walking down a street later in the day. He’s smiling and talking to himself, hands in his pockets. We can’t hear his conversation yet, he’s too far away. The camera stops moving with him, and he passes by it. It zooms out just enough to see a man’s face. He is staring in the direction that Eddie went off to. His face looks very serious.
The next shot is Eddie’s back. He’s laughing and hunching his shoulders up. “Geeze, come on, man, that’s gross.”
“You like it,” Venom teases in his head.
Eddie starts to answer back, but he is interrupted by a woman shouting his name. He pauses and turns, frowning and visibly confused.
“Oh, oh Mister Brock!” A young woman with red hair jogs over to his side. She is slightly out of breath. “Oh my gosh, Mister Brock, I am such a huge fan! I used to watch the Brock Report, like, all the time!”
“Ah, thanks, uh – Eddie’s fine.” He shuffles and looks down sheepishly.
“Can I get you a coffee or something? I have so many questions about the show!” She’s smiling up at him, starry eyed.
Eddie grimaces a little bit and looks toward where the sun hangs low in the sky. “Ah, I dunno,” he says, “it’s kinda late for coffee, don’t you think?”
The woman does not relent. “Okay, okay, how about dinner then?”
Fidgeting a little, Eddie looks at the sun again and then back at her pleading face. “Get a steak,” Venom says in his ear. “And a chocolate shake.”
Holding back a laugh, Eddie concedes, agreeing to the dinner. The woman introduces herself as Donna Diego as they start to walk.
We next see them sitting at a booth at some restaurant and we hear snippets of their conversation. Donna is asking questions about the Brock Report and about Cletus Kasady. When we come in, the question we hear from Donna is, “Man, and Cletus Kasady, I just can’t believe- I mean, last I heard you were a person of interest in that whole thing! You were a suspect!”
Eddie laughs and takes a sip of his chocolate shake, nearly empty by now. “Ah, yeah. I guess having an ex-fiancée that’s a really good lawyer pays off in one way or another. Saving a cop’s life doesn’t hurt, either.” He smiles at the awestruck look on her face. “But, really, I’m just visiting. Just checking in on the apartment and stuff, friends have a wedding in a little bit. You know how it is.”
They end up staying there late into the night. It is dark out by the time they exit the restaurant.
When they come outside and actually see how dark it is, Donna gets nervous. She’s moving her feet back and forth and fidgeting.
“Hey, um, I’m real sorry to ask this of you, after, you know… Everything, but. Uh… Would you walk me back to my apartment?”
Eddie makes a face at this.
Donna gets visibly flustered and says, “Ne-nevermind! It was stupid, I’ll just- I’ll just call a cab or something.”
Venom mutters to Eddie that she seems worried. “We could protect her,” he suggests.
“I guess.” Clearing his throat, Eddie addresses her. “Hey, yeah, I guess I can walk you home.”
Donna thanks him profusely. He just nods, pats her on the back once, and they begin walking the darkened streets.
Venom is chattering in Eddie’s head pretty much the entire time about what they should do once they go home. Eddie isn’t really paying much attention to Donna anymore. They’re just walking.
Donna pauses at the end of an alley. She points and says, “I’m the building just across the street there…” She looks at Eddie and he just shrugs and turns down the alley with her.
In an instant, everything goes wrong.
Suddenly there’s a horrible, screeching, wailing noise. It’s everywhere. Ringing off the walls and through the air.
Eddie yelps and slams his hands over his ears, but he can’t escape the horrible sound. He and Venom collapse to the ground, on hand and knee. His form is trembling and warping.
It is unclear to the audience if Venom is ejected from Eddie’s body before Eddie is struck and knocked unconscious. The last thing the camera sees as it falls and tilts, are a pair of shoes entering frame. Then everything goes black.
…
The camera comes back on, zoomed close in on Eddie’s face. He’s lying on the ground and begins blinking his eyes open. With a little groan (Tom Hardy noises) he pushes himself up onto his knees.
At first, we think everything is fine. Maybe Eddie just got mugged.
But then Eddie regains awareness and immediately clutches at his chest. “Venom?”
…
… Silence…
“Venom!?” Again, now more distressed. Eddie scrambles to his feet, looking around frantically. He screams for Venom.
…
There is no answer. There is no sound other than Eddie’s breathing getting more and more erratic.
He destroys the alley. Throws an entire dumpster over, looks under things, breaks things open. He is panicked. After throwing everything, Eddie lets out one last desperate scream for Venom.

Chapter Text
Cuts to an undisclosed location.
The first thing we see is the familiar blob shape of Venom trapped inside an air-tight vessel like the one used in the first Venom movie. He is obviously distressed- pounding against the glass in a desperate attempt to get out and go back to Eddie.
We hear people talking before we see them.
“I can’t believe it…”
“You were right, Trevor.” (Or Ramon. Whoever, really.)
The Venom symbiote pauses briefly at the sound before resuming its panicked flailing as a person comes into frame. He’s wearing some sort of long coat as he leans in to look as Venom.
“You probably don’t remember me… But I remember you.” (Ominous) The man grins at the symbiote.
“You and your pal Eddie Brock,” Venom freezes at the sound of Eddie’s name, “Cost me my job.” The man motions to the other people in the room with him. “You cost all of us our jobs, actually.” He watches Venom for a moment and continues.
“You know, up until I saw it with my own eyes- I thought Drake was crazy. I mean, aliens and humans fusing together? It’s something out of those old sci-fi movies… But You.” He is leaning in close again, grinning wider as Venom begins to freak out again.
“You proved me wrong.”
He touches his fingers to the glass and Venom flinches back as far away as he can possibly get. “I thought you died with him,” the man says. “You and Drake and the other one… I thought you all died in the fire. But then, what do I see just a year later? All over the news?”
His smile is something horrific now. “Another one! Another symbiote!”
“And when I saw him, I knew- I knew you were out there. I mean, where else could another of your kind have come from? The comet that Drake found is far beyond our reach now. No.” He lifts the glass container to smile in at Venom. “I knew it came from you.”
Straightening out, he turns to the others. “Why don’t we get started?”
There is loud zapping noises and even louder whirring. Venom is shivering in fear.
Fade to next scene.
We move to a scene inside what looks like an office building at first. The first thing we see is a man’s back as he sits at his desk. He is moving papers around.
“Mulligan,” a voice calls out and he swivels around in his chair.
“Yeah?”
“You’ve got a visitor.”
We see Eddie come around the corner. He looks like shit.
His eyes are red and puffy and he has dark bags under them. His clothes are wrinkled, his hair is a mess, and his face has dirty looking smudges on it.
Mulligan quickly stands up. “Brock!?”
“Hey, ah,” Eddie fidgets and looks shifty. “I eh… Been a while, huh?”
Mulligan gets in his face and whispers angrily, “You’ve got a lot of balls showing up here. Do you have any idea how many strings I had to pull to get your name cleared?”
Eddie literally will not stop moving.
Mulligan pauses and looks him over.
“You look like shit.”
Eddie lets out a sad little laugh, wipes his sniffly nose on his sleeve, and says, “Yeah. Yeah, I feel like shit.”
“Listen, can I talk to you? It’s kinda important…” Eddie glances as another detective walks by them.
Mulligan blinks up at Eddie a couple of times before he says, “Lets not talk here. Come on.” The two of them walk away and then we cut to a new shot.
We see the two of them sitting down outside of a café or coffee shop of some sort. Eddie is still fidgety- he is tapping his fingers against his cup.
Mulligan looks calm, but suspicious. “What’s this about, Brock?” Eddie’s eyes flick up to look at Mulligan. “I’m guessing you didn’t just feel like catching up.”
Eddie laughs sadly again. After taking a second to rub his hands on his cup, he talks. “Look, uh… There-there’s not a lot of people I can talk to about this…” He swallows. “You, uh. You remember my, uh- my partner from- from the whole Cletus thing? From before?”
Mulligan’s face falls flat. “Venom?”
“Ah, yeah.” Eddie looks away again. “He uh…” He sniffles, eyes watering. “Somebody took ‘im.”
“Took him?” Mulligan looks shocked. “I thought he was like, inside your blood or something. How could someone just take him?”
Eddie looks close to crying. He raises his hands and puts them on his head. He sounds almost hysterical when he begins stammering. “I-I-I don’t know! I don’t know! One-one minute I-I was walking some lady home and-and-and-and and there-there was this horrible noise and it hurt so bad and-and then the next thing I knew I was waking up without him!”
Eddie actually is crying now.
“Please, you gotta help me find him!” He reaches forward to grab Mulligan’s hands. “He can’t survive on his own! Oxygen hurts him! They might be hurting him!”
“Easy, easy, Eddie. I’ll… I’ll see what I can do… Do you remember anything?” Mulligan is staying surprisingly calm through all this. “Who was this lady you walked home with?”
“Her- she said her name was Donna. Uh, Donna D-Diego or something like that.”
“All right, we can start there, then.” He gets up. “I’ll let you know if I find anything, okay?”
And he walks away.
The camera follows Mulligan walking away from Eddie sitting at the little table. We hear a deep, grumbly voice say, “Well, he seems upset.”
Mulligan sighs. “Do you think you’d be able to find him?” After a moment of silence and no answer, Mulligan says, “Toxin?”
Toxin makes a noise in his head. “I have never met my grandparent… I wouldn’t know where to begin.”
Mulligan frowns.
“But…” Toxin continues, “…I know I would be upset if someone took me from you…”
Next shot.
Eddie is in his apartment, sitting in front of his computer. He looks like he’s been crying. His place is a wreck. Trash is all over the place. Sniffing, he raises his hands.
“All right, all right. Pull it together. Fuck- what do I do…? What would Venom do?” Eddie cautiously begins typing on his computer. The camera pans to show him looking up information on Donna Diego. The first results are her professional social media pages (like LinkedIn). And when Eddie clicks on them, he gasps. The first thing he sees is “Former Security Officer- Life Foundation. Four years.”
He begins to scroll through her page, seeing photos of her at her new job, her old job, at parties and events and outings with some of her friends and coworkers. The most frequent photos are of her and a woman named Leslie and a man named Trevor. As Eddie begins looking through their pages, he sees that they are all former employees of the Life Foundation.”
“Shit.”
He calls Mulligan, but gets his voicemail. “Fuck. Hey-Mulligan. Call me back when you get this. I found Donna- she’s- she used to work for the Life Foundation. Just. Just call-call me back.” After hanging up, Eddie sits there for a minute, rubbing his thumb over the ring on his finger.
He slams his hands against his desk, swearing again.
The next thing we see, he is getting up and grabbing keys, a flashlight, and a chocolate bar. As Eddie leaves his apartment, he puts his phone to his ear again. “Hey Anne, it’s me. Listen, I’m sure you’re sick of this shit already, but I’m uh… I’m going to the old Life Foundation building, I… Some-something’s…” He sniffles and walks out the back door of the building.
“Somebody took Venom from me.”
Notes:
each bit will probably be pretty short, but I hope you guys like them nonetheless
Venom needs to be rescued by his feral prince charming!

Chapter Text
Cut to next scene.
Eddie is walking around the abandoned Life Foundation building. He starts around the outside where the old rocket used to be, but most of it is long gone. Everything metal has been removed, probably to be melted down into other things. Some of the dock is left behind, but it’s not enough for him to look at. He goes inside. He’s using his flashlight to look into rooms and taking pictures with his phone of anything that looks important. Or that looks like it once was important.
Most of the building has been emptied out. The government and any remaining Life Foundation lawyers probably took everything that could be used against them. No signs of any dead humans or animals in here now. Just layers and layers of dust. It’s kind of disappointing. Eddie had hoped maybe he would find an old file or some sort of clue, but so far all he was finding were bad memories.
Eddie pauses at the cell that once held Maria. The place he first got Venom…
“We never should have come back here,” he murmurs. “Being fugitives on the run was the smarter choice… Fuck. Anne would’ve understood if we didn’t go to the wedding. This is all my fault.” He stares into the empty cell. It goes quiet. There’s maybe the sound of a rodent scurrying somewhere in the distance, but otherwise the whole place is still and silent.
The silence is broken by the shrill ring of his phone. He jumps, swears, and fumbles to answer it. He drops his light on the floor. “Ye-yah? Hello?” He stoops to pick it up as he answers.
“Brock. It’s Mulligan.”
“Hey! Hey, hey, so-so what’d you find out? You get my message?”
“I did, yeah. And I looked her up. The courts kept most of the files from the whole Life Foundation fiasco. Couldn’t find much about her. She’s pretty clean.” Eddie deflates.
“But it looks like one of her old buddies had a few run-ins with the cops. A Carl Mach. I’ve got a last known address for him- where are you? We could check it out.”
“I’m, uh, actually at the Life Foundation,” Eddie says and Mulligan makes a noise.
“No wonder you’re always getting into trouble… Stay there, we’ll come get you.” He tells him.
Eddie nods. “Oh-okay, I’ll head outside.” He hangs up and takes one sad look back at the cell before turning and heading out.
He waits outside in the dark, hands in his pockets. He fidgets as he stands there.
Eventually a car pulls up in front of him. Mulligan rolls his window down. “Come on, get in.”
Eddie does and looks around the interior of the car as he sits in the passenger seat.
“Was kind of expecting a cop car… Oh, is it just you?”
Mulligan frowns. “Of course it’s just me- it’s not like I can tell anyone I’m helping you look for a fucking alien.” Mulligan seems grouchy as he’s driving. Eddie goes quiet then and just looks at him for a little while. Eventually he turns his head and looks out the window, tugging on his necklace absently.
They reach an apartment complex. It’s late at night. There is not much light other than the streetlights. A few windows have lights coming from them. Probably people watching TV.
Eddie is the first to get out of the car. He is already feet from the door by the time Mulligan is out of the car.
He yells to Eddie to wait, but Eddie is already pounding on a door.
“Eddie!” Mulligan rushes up to him, “Eddie!” He puts his hand on his shoulder. That’s when the door opens.
A woman answers. She looks confused and a little bit angry.
“Hi-Hi! Is there a Carl Mach here?” Eddie is already asking, eager and in her face.
“Excuse me?” The woman looks even angrier.
Mulligan holds up his badge. “Hi ma’am, sorry to come so late at night. We’re just looking for Carl Mach.”
The woman scowls at them. “I don’t know a Carl. Go away.”
“No, no wait!” Eddie shouts, grabbing the door before she can slam it. “Please, you have to know something! Please!” The woman is trying to tug the door shut. Eddie is close to tears. “Please, please- they took him! They took-!”
She finally pulls the door shut, slamming it.
Eddie crumbles to his knees. He is openly crying now.
“They took Venom from me…”
Mulligan slowly lowers down to rub Eddie’s back in comforting circles. “We’re gonna find ‘im… We’ll find him, Eddie.”
“I should have kept him safe,” Eddie mutters, “This is all my fault.” Mulligan just stays squatting by his side, silent as Eddie grieves.
The camera pans up into the sky.
A Week Later…
The next scene we see after the time skip card is a shot of Eddie with Anne and Dan in their apartment. He looks depressed. Dan hands both he and Anne a mug. Eddie takes it with a mumble. The cat is lounging by the window.
“You’ll find him, Eddie,” Anne says.
Eddie just stares at the TV playing the news. It doesn’t seem like he’s really even watching it.
Dan says, “It’s only been a week. We- we’ve all seen- we all know how strong Venom is!”
“And what a stubborn ass he can be,” Anne says, smiling.
Eddie only laughs once. A sad, bitter little sound. Both Anne and Dan exchange a worried look.
“Eddie, come on, we all know that Venom is okay. If he can, he’s- he’s probably out there right now. Looking for you!”
“But what if he’s not?” Eddie asks, voice a trembling whisper. “What if, what if he’s hurt? Or what if they left him out in the air? No one understands him Anne- people don’t know what he is.”
Anne is about to say something else when the TV suddenly blares with a Breaking Broadcast. The report on the TV begins by saying, “What I am about to show you seems unbelievable, folks, but- it- it seems that… Monsters exist. We are going live from (place. I dunno).” And the TV shows video of smoke and explosions. There are people screaming.
The camera is shaky and then there is a streak of color across the screen.
Then another.
And then another still until finally, out of the smoke rises Scream. (Though Eddie and the others don’t know that yet. All they know is that its another new symbiote. The audience will recognize Scream.)
Eddie jumps to his feet. Anne drops her drink. Somebody swears.
The TV then shows two more symbiotes emerge from the smoke. The person holding the camera can be heard saying, “holy shit” before they are spotted and one of the symbiotes attacks them. The feed cuts out.
Dan immediately says, “You have gotta be shitting me.”
“There are more of them!?” Anne shouts, looking from the TV to Eddie and back. “What the fuck, Eddie!?! How!?”
“Venom…”
The TV continues to play and the woman on screen shows other videos, but Eddie’s phone goes off and he looks away. It’s Mulligan calling.
As soon as Eddie answers, he is talking. “Brock, you wanna explain this shit to me!?” He is shouting.
The camera shows the TV again while Eddie is on the phone. There are blurry images of Carnage on screen and the reporter is still talking. The headline across the screen reads “Monster in San Francisco?”
Eddie is talking to Mulligan and grabbing his keys. He ignores Anne as she tries to stop him and ask him where he’s going.
“It’s like Carnage. These- these have to be from Venom. They’ve gotta be his kids.” Anne finally managed to get Eddie to hear her asking him where he’s going. “I-I gotta- I gotta go, Anne. He’s- Venom might be there.”
“They’ll kill you!” Anne argues.
Eddie pushes past her and Dan. “I don’t care. I can’t just sit here on my ass!”
“Well we’re coming with you,” Dan says, “We’ve all seen what these things can do. You’re gonna need help.” The two of them grab their own keys and they all rush out of the apartment. Eddie hangs up as Mulligan is still yelling on the phone. He puts his helmet on and the motorcycle roars to life. He doesn’t wait for Anne and Dan, but they both follow behind him quickly.
We see a few shots of them speeding through traffic.
There are massive clouds of dust when they reach the buildings. Explosions are still going off and something is on fire. (Probably a car.)
Eddie jumps off his bike and throws his helmet to the ground. He runs into the smoke and dust. Distantly we can hear Anne and Dan shouting for him.
He stops in the middle of the smoke. He is coughing, but stops to look around. He raises his hands to cup them around his mouth and screams for Venom.
… There is no answer…
Eddie calls for Venom again.
Suddenly a tendril bursts out of the smoke. It slams into the ground, cracking the concrete. (Eddie jumps.)
Another tendril explodes forward and yanks down a streetlight.
Out of the clouds steps Scream. She grins like the Cheshire cat. Her rows of teeth glimmer ever so slightly now that she’s in the light.
“Hello again, Mister Brock,” she coos. Her voice is distorted and deep.
Eddie doesn’t even ask who she is. “Where is he!?” He snarls at her.
Scream laughs. “Who?” She cocks her head to the side, maw still stuck in that terrifying grin. “Oh, you mean your little tapeworm?”
“Don’t you fucking call him that!” Eddie looks furious. “Where is he!?!”
“Oh, I’m so sorry, but if you honestly think I’m going to tell you, you’re an even bigger idiot than I thought.”
She laughs.
And Eddie charges at her.
She grabs him with a tendril of her hair and flings him away easily. He slams into a partially destroyed car. He gets up and she slams him back down. He fights against the hold she has on him, biting into one of the tentacles. Scream doesn’t even seem to notice it.
“Ah-ah-ah,” she tuts at him. “Can’t have you sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong.”
She looms over him.
Eddie is visibly hurt. He is shaking with pain, but is still trying to get up. He is swearing at her and calling her every name he can think of. He keeps demanding to be told where Venom is. Scream appears to be amused by his anger.
Scream raises up a tentacle and strikes-
Only to be knocked back by a deep red shape. The dust clouds get blown away by the fast movement.
Scream shakes herself off, snarling, and lifts herself up to sit. She laughs as the smoke clears.
Hunched protectively in front of Eddie- is Toxin.
“Oh, Eddie!” Scream is laughing hysterically, “You never told me you had another one!”
Toxin turns his head to look at Eddie. “Are you all right?” He asks, shrinking the sword his hand was formed into back to normal.
“Carnage?” Eddie gawks up at him, even as he takes the hand Toxin offers him.
Toxin smiles. “I never got to meet my parent. Patrick tells me he was a piece of shit, though.”
Before Eddie can say anything else Scream’s tendrils slash across Toxin’s shoulder. Toxin roars with pain.
“Aww, how sweet!” Scream is shouting from across the street. “A little family reunion!”
She begins raising up using her hair tendrils. She floats and rises above them almost like something out of religious imagery. The sun glints off of her as she hovers over all the smoke and destruction.
“Well, if this is a reunion- maybe I should introduce you…!”
After she says this, tendrils shoot out of one of the few remaining dust clouds.
Then more tendrils come.
And more.
And one by one, the four other symbiotes emerge and move to stand beside Scream.
They are all menacing and huge, but Eddie (and the audience) notices that something seems different about them. None of them are as vibrantly colored as Scream is. Each one looks more like a smaller version of Venom than anything else. They only seem to have streaks and ripples of color throughout their forms.
“Say hello to daddy,” Scream coos.
Notes:
this one had a lot of illustrations in it, surprisingly.
Chapter 4: Bit Four
Summary:
A shorter bit here, but honestly one of my favorite parts in the story!
Notes:
The illustrations in this chapter don't have ink outlines because just drawing them in pencil was hard enough.
Chapter Text
In an instant the other symbiotes charge. Eddie widens his stance, clearly ready and willing to fight against the group. Toxin jumps backward, dodging their incoming attacks. He shoots out a tendril and yanks Eddie back with him.
Toxin is running and jumping and tossing Eddie around like a ragdoll as he tries to dodge all of the attacking symbiotes. He is horribly outnumbered.
We hear Anne shouting in the distance. Toxin’s head cocks in that direction for a brief moment before Lasher manages to hook Toxin’s arm and rip into it.
Toxin shrieks and loses his grip on Eddie. He gets sent flying and rolls across the ground. Anne and Dan both rush to him.
Toxin begins fighting off the other symbiotes as best he can, but he is visibly struggling.
“Eddie what the fuck is happening.”
“We gotta help him,” Eddie says, pushing to his feet. “Dan, Anne- we have to!” Anne is looking up at the fight, scrambling to help lift Eddie up.
Dan snatches his car keys out of his pocket. He looks determined as he grabs Anne’s arm and says, “Come on!”
We cut back to Toxin, who is getting hit each time he jumps away now. He can’t dodge with all five of the others going at him at once.
He is losing. Fast.
“Hey you! Whatever your name is- look out!” Toxin turns his head at the sounds of Eddie’s voice and leaps backwards, just barely avoiding getting hit by Anne and Dan’s car.
Anne and Dan are blaring a recording of horrible, screeching, noises out the windows. All of the symbiotes start freaking out and wailing.
Anne and Dan turn the sound up.
After a few moments all of the symbiotes but Toxin run away. (Toxin is freaking out, too, though. He’s half collapsed on the ground.)
They turn off the sound and Eddie jumps out and runs over to Toxin. “Hey, you all right?” He pauses when he sees who was under the symbiote. His head rears back in surprise. “Mulligan??”
Mulligan is pushing himself to his feet- Toxin retreats back into his body. “Come on,” he says, out of breath, “They’ll be back soon.”
Eddie doesn’t even question what he means. He just turns and hurries to go look through the destroyed buildings. He rushes past Anne and Dan.
“What are you doing?” Dan asks, getting ready to get out of the car.
Mulligan stops him. “No, stay in there. We’ll need that sounds again if they come back.” He follows after Eddie, calling to him to slow down.
As Mulligan walks away, Dan mutters, “Wait, when did he get here?”
Eddie is using his phone for a light as he searches inside one of the buildings. Mulligan joins him.
“Do you think yours is here?” He asks, giving up pretending he doesn’t have a symbiote of his own.
“Those other ones had to come from somewhere. Where else am I supposed to start?” Eddie turns to look at Mulligan. Toxin’s head is extending over his shoulder, staring at Eddie.
“What’s your name?” He asks the symbiote.
Flinching back for a second, he replies, “Toxin.”
Eddie smiles a little. “Does this make me a grandpa?”
Mulligan and Toxin exchange a look and then shrug. The little group resumes searching the building. Toxin helps flips heavy objects over and move them out of the way. He also makes sure to keep them from going into rooms with gas leaks and live wires hanging out in the open. At one point Toxin reaches out a tentacle to stop Eddie from tripping over something he didn’t see.
As Eddie steps over broken glass, Toxin tells them both to stop.
…
There is silence as they wait.
“This way,” Toxin takes over and envelopes Mulligan. He starts running through the darkened halls. Eddie rushes after him. (He trips a few times now that Toxin isn’t helping him.)
Eventually they reach a room at the end of a partially collapsed hallway. All eyes land on a cracked glass container in the room. Inside is a motionless pile of black goo.
“VENOM!” Eddie screams.
He sprints into the room, throwing anything in his way to the ground. He reaches the glass and tries yanking it open. He tries hitting the buttons on it. He tries punching the glass. Whirling around, he begs Toxin, “Open it! God, please!” He looks terrified. His breathing is heavy and fast.
Stepping forward, Toxin forms a hand into a spikey mace-like object. He strikes the cylinder once and it shatters.
“Venom!” Eddie reaches into the destroyed container, not caring that the shards of glass are cutting into his hands. He lifts the little black goo into his palms. Blood drips down from the sides of his hands as he holds him.
Venom looks so small.
“Venom. Venom, hey,” Eddie speaks to the goo. “Venom, please, it’s me. It’s me. It’s-it’s Eddie.”
He’s crying.
The tiny goo isn’t moving.
His voice breaks as he tries again. “It’s Eddie. Ven-Venom, come on, it’s me. It’s Eddie.” His face is close to the little blob. His tears are landing on Venom.
…
They wait.
…
Eddie looks like he’s going to fall apart.
And just when it seems to be too late, the little goo begins to soak into the flesh of Eddie’s hands.
It vanishes.
All goes quiet. Eddie is holding his breath.
Then we, the audience, hear a tiny, weak, breath of a whisper.
“Eddie…”
Venom sounds awful.
Eddie lets out a noise like the whole world dropped off his shoulders. It’s somewhere between a laugh and a heart wrenching sob. And then he does it again.
He laughs as tears run down his face.
“Hey! He-hey Venom! Fuck, I missed you so much!” He wipes his nose. “How ya feeling buddy?”
Venom’s voice is still weak. Terribly raspy and tired sounding. “Feel like shit…”
Eddie lets out another broken laugh. He doesn’t say a word as he pulls a chocolate bar out of his pocket. (He had been carrying one with him ever since Venom was taken. Everywhere he went.) It’s broken into tons of pieces, but he still opens it and puts a piece in his hand.
A tiny little noodle head forms out of Eddie’s wrist. It shlorps over the chocolate and eats it. Eddie gives the tiny noodle more pieces. Before the head recedes back into his skin, Eddie gives it a quick peck of a kiss.
“I’m so glad you’re okay.”
“They can eat chocolate too, huh?” It’s Mulligans voice.
Eddie doesn’t look at him. “Yeah. Yeah, they need phenethylamine. Chocolate’s not the best source of it, but Venom’s got a sweet tooth.” Once all of the candy is completely gone, Venom retreats back inside of Eddie.
“Hurts, Eddie,” he grumbles.
“It’s okay,” Eddie says, “I’m here now. I’ve got you.” He’s got his hand pressed up against his chest.
Venom grumbles quietly for a moment. “Hungry.”
Eddie laughs. “Yeah… Yeah, let’s go get you some more food.” He stands up and starts walking back outside. Toxin and Mulligan follow him.
As Eddie passes Toxin, Venom comments, “Who the hell is that guy?” Eddie chuckles and says something about explaining later.
When they get outside, Eddie shields his eyes from the bright sun. He blinks a few times before lowering his hand. “That’s weird…” He mutters.
Toxin retreats into Mulligan as he steps outside. He frowns. “They left…?”
Anne and Dan are both standing outside their car. When they see the two of them, they both rush over.
“Did you find him!?” Anne asks. They are both looking Eddie over frantically. “Eddie, did you find Venom!? Was he in there!?”
Eddie lifts his hand and points out his finger. The tiny noodle head emerges again.
Dan and Anne both laugh breathlessly. “Hey, Venom.” She reaches out and gently pets the little head.
“Are you guys gonna go fight the others?” Dan asks. The noodle head retreats.
Venom says in Eddie’s head, “Need food…”
“N-no, I- Venom’s too weak right now,” Eddie says for him. He puts his hand on his chest again. “We’ve gotta recover before we can do anything.”
“But- but what about the other guys?”
Eddie looks at Mulligan then.
He frowns. “There’s too many of them for just the two of us. We need help.”
Anne looks between them. “So what do we do? Just let them go?”
Eddie sighs. “There’s not much else we can do…”
“We just have to hope they don’t kill too many people or go on a murder spree like Carnage did… Hey, Mulligan, can you put out like a bulletin or something that sound and fire are what hurts them? Get it in the news? So people can protect themselves?”
“Yeah,” he says, “I’ll see what I can do…” Toxin’s head emerges again and he looks at the red symbiote. “Toxin and I will keep an eye out, too.”
Dan frowns. “Now, where did this one come from? Venom had six kids?”
Eddie chuckles and shakes his head- the camera fades out.

Chapter Text
We hear Scream’s voice before we see her. We open back up on a shot zooming out from her back as she walks into a nondescript room. She’s shouting, “Well!?!”
Once Scream is far enough out of our way, we see that she’s in the same room as the other people who kidnapped Venom. They all look frustrated and are either pacing, or muttering to themselves.
Trevor, the one who talked to Venom when he was in the glass jar, speaks up first. “Nothing. I’m getting nothing. Just-just… Just the barest of feelings.” He looks at his hands. “I can’t hear anything anymore.”
Scream snarls at that and looks at one of the others, her head snaps in their direction so quickly that her hair tendrils take a second to catch up.
Leslie just shakes her head, looking sad. She doesn’t say anything, just sits where she is and rubs her chest like it hurts.
Ramon says what he’s getting doesn’t sound like language anymore. “It’s like… baby talk,” he says.
Carl says, “I think they killed mine.”
This clearly pisses Scream off.
She grabs the nearest object and hurls it into the wall with a shriek of rage. She destroys something else, still screaming. Only after ripping something else apart, does she finally stop. She stands there taking in deep, heaving breaths.
The Scream symbiote separates herself from Donna enough to twist her head around and look at the room. Donna looks up at her, still panting. Slowly, Scream extends her tendrils to the others in the room, oozing slightly into them for a moment. She is quiet, almost like she’s listening to something we can’t hear.
“They’re not dead,” she says finally. “They’re hurting. Whatever those humans did caused a great deal of pain…” She retracts her tentacles and looks back at Donna. “They will need time to recover.”
Donna’s breathing picks right back up. She looks like she is shaking. Scream is still extended from her as she grabs a chair and slams it into the wall. Scream just watches her calmly, cocking her head with her toothy smile.
“That fucking Brock!!” Donna shouts, slamming the chair down over and over to the point that it’s in splinters now. “Twice now he’s done this shit to us! Twice!!” She finally throws the little scraps of the chair across the room. (They get embedded in the wall.) She looks poisonous as Scream begins to come back and envelope her again.
“I swear,” she growls, “As soon as you four are healed, I’ll kill him.”
The camera fades out once more on a close up shot of her face. The music is dark and ominous.
Two Months Later…
Eddie and Mulligan are sitting on a bench in some sort of park. Toxin’s head is protruding from Mulligan’s back and Venom’s head is protruding from Eddie’s. Eddie is tossing peanut chocolate candies to both of the symbiotes. (Venom still won’t eat the red ones, but Toxin doesn’t seem to mind them.)
“I just don’t get it,” Mulligan says. “Carnage never stopped killing, but these guys just go quiet after one day?” He huffs. “I don’t like it.”
“Perhaps they are planning something,” Venom suggests.
Eddie snorts. “Perhaps? Ooh, look at you using the big words.” Venom makes a face and hisses at him.
“It is strange, though,” Toxin says, “I often have to reign in my desire for killing with Patrick’s help. The others… Their hosts did not seem to have that control or desire for peace.”
Mulligan leans forward to look at Venom. “So… remind me again… What exactly did they do?”
Venom finishes crunching on his candy before he answers.
“I have told you before- they used some sort of noise makers to take me from Eddie, like the recordings Anne and Dan have. I was sealed inside that thing and taken to the laboratory. They extracted my next five spawn and bonded them to themselves.”
“Okay, well how long did that take? It wasn’t until like a week later that they went on their rampage...”
“Yeah, Carnage started that same day, didn’t he?” Eddie asks Mulligan.
“Literally a few hours after you left.”
Eddie frowns. “So- so maybe something’s wrong with them. Maybe something went wrong with the whole extraction process.” He waves his hands animatedly as he talks. He wiggles his fingers for emphasis on the words ‘extraction process.’
Mulligan gets ready to say something else, but Venom talks over him.
“Eddie, you are out of chocolates.”
Shaking his head, Eddie gets up. “All right, how ‘bout a trip to Mrs. C’s?”
“I’ll catch you later, Mulligan. Toxin.” He gives them both a little wave and walks away. Venom oozes back into him and the two make their way to their favorite shop.
As he walks, Venom asks, “Eddie?” Eddie hums in response. (Tom Hardy noises.) “Why did you kiss my head before? Back at the laboratory…”
“Hm? Oh, that? You said you were hurt.”
“So?” Venom presses for more.
Shrugging, Eddie says, “I dunno, that’s just what you do when somebody is hurt. You kiss it and make it better.”
“Do these kisses have healing properties?”
“No. No, they’re uh, just kisses.” Eddie has his hands in his pockets as he walks.
Venom sounds confused now. “Then how are kisses supposed to help if someone is hurting?”
“It just makes you feel better, I dunno,” Eddie says with a little huff. “It’s just a nice thing to do for the people you love. You’ve seen it in some of the movies we’ve watched. Parents do it with their kids a lot.” Venom makes a ‘harumph’ noise in Eddie’s head. Clearly that answer is not good enough for him.
Chapter 6: Bit Six
Summary:

Sorry this is so short, but I had my ideas and I stuck with them.
I hope you guys like this!
Chapter Text
When they reach Mrs. Chen’s the little bell on the door rings as they come in. “Hey Mrs. C,” Eddie calls. Venom waves a tentacle at her in excitement.
“Hey you two,” Mrs. Chen greets. “You’re looking better, Eddie.”
Eddie grins. “Yeah, well, I got my better half back, y’know?”
Venom gushes, “Aaawwww” in his head.
When they reach the chocolate, they grab a frighteningly large handful. “Oh! Eddie! Can we buy the jumbo size Swiss chocolate?” Venom asks, stopping Eddie to look at the comically large bar of chocolate.
Smiling, Eddie picks up the candy. He plops it on the counter with all the others and begins fishing around his pockets for his wallet. He’s finally got a hold of it and suddenly the glass door to the shop explodes in a rain of shattered glass shards.
Eddie flinches, as does Mrs. Chen, and the few other customers in the shop scream. Before Eddie can even blink, a tentacle zips into the shop and grabs his arm. There is a second’s pause where Eddie looks down.
He lurches as the tentacle yanks him out of the store. He shouts. (More Tom Hardy noises.) Once he lands on the ground, Venom quickly takes over.
“YOU!” Scream, well, screams. She flings something at them. Venom blocks it by forming a shield.
“What did you do!?” Scream’s voice is piercing. It rings out across the little street in San Francisco. There are people standing a distance away. Some are filming on their phones.
Venom jumps and scoots backwards when a group of people try to surround them.
When he sees who it is, Venom snarls, “You assholes again?”
“Who are these guys?” Eddie asks. Venom snarls, lowering themselves into a waiting position. Ready to fight back should they attack.
“The shitbags who took my spawn out of me.”
One of the men stomps forward. “Your spawn are defective!”
“We haven’t been able to communicate with them at all! They won’t even come out now that you used that sound shit on us!” The one other woman in the group yells.
“The spawn were too young!” Venom shouts. “They were not ready to be born!”
“Well what about Scream?!” Trevor yells, pointing at her. “She’s doing just fine!”
Eddie makes a comment inside Venom, “You said you were getting ready to spawn again.”
“Yes,” Venom answers. “Scream was to be the next born. She was the most fully developed.”
Scream wails and strikes at him. “You rotten thing! Why didn’t you tell us that!?”
Venom jumps, blocks, and uses his tentacles to scoop bystanders up and move them further away from the violence. As he tries to stop her, Venom shouts, “And when was I supposed to tell you!? Oh, excuse me, but it might be important for you to know that if you forcibly remove my babies from inside me, they might die because they’re not ready! Thanks ever so much for the consideration!”
Scream shrieks and starts attacking him with renewed vigor. She is throwing everything she has at them. Cars, streetlight poles, spikes from her own body- everything. (I am bad at writing action sequences.)
Venom does his best to protect the people and buildings around them from getting hit. Scream manages a powerful hit, shredding into Venom’s side.
“Fuck!!” Venom roars.
Using her hair, Scream begins wrapping and entangling them. The tendrils of her hair just keep coming and coming and coming. Venom is struggling. He is ripping at the hair, but anything he rips is replaced almost instantly. Even though he’s bigger, Venom is clearly not prepared to deal with this. She’s still shouting at them as she wraps them tighter and tighter.
“We were supposed to be a team!! We were supposed to be powerful! We were supposed to be like You! Like the Red One!”
Suddenly she is pierced through the shoulder and she howls in pain.
Her hair retracts as she whirls around.
Mulligan stands on the other side of the road. His arm is encased in Toxin, stretched across the street into a huge sword/spear. “Turst me,” he says as Toxin begins to fully envelope him. “You don’t wanna be like the Red One.”
Scream yowls and completely abandons Venom to charge at Toxin. She strikes at him and he dodges over and over again. As her hair finally gets a grip on him, she is shoved down hard by her shoulder. Venom is holding her down. Toxin grabs her head and starts trying to pry the symbiote off of Donna. (Like Riot in Venom 1.)
Just then-
A horrible, cacophonous sound, like the wailing of a dying animal, erupts from across the street. All three of them turn in time to see the monster forming. It bubbles and warps and gurgles before finally, there settles a massive symbiote.
There are three unconscious people lying around it. These are the other ex-Life Foundation employees.
And this. Is Hybrid.
Once she sees the giant symbiote, Scream smirks. A tendril of her hair smacks Toxin in the face as Hybrid charges with a horrific sounding bellow.
Venom gets tackled by the giant. He’s sent tumbling as Scream starts whipping at Toxin. Toxin shrieks at her before sharpening his arms into swords and slashing back at her.
Venom is completely on the defensive. On their own the other symbiotes are much too weak to pose a threat, but together as Hybrid they are overwhelming him. Venom can’t get a hit in. He’s just consistently blocking and blocking and trying to dodge and draw the beast away from any civilians.
Hybrid keeps beating them and beating them. It roars and yowls, but does not speak. It just uses its mass to pummel Venom into the ground.
“Fuck, really wishing we had some backup right now, bud,” Eddie says from inside. Venom snarls and finally manages a hit. Hybrid gets sent flying backwards, landing in the middle of the street, making a crater.
When it pushes itself up, Hybrid’s attention is no longer on Venom.
Its sights are set on Toxin.
Before Venom can say “shit”, Hybrid has a hold of Toxin’s head.
“No! No! No! No! Toxin!” Eddie and Venom are both screaming, sprinting as fast as they can.
They lurch as they are stopped by Scream’s hair grabbing them. Venom rips at the tentacles with horrific urgency. “Toxin!” The two voices scream.
Hybrid pulls Toxin off Mulligan and shoves the man to the ground.
“No!!” Venom and Mulligan cry in unison as Hybrid lifts the squirming, flailing symbiote toward his mouth.
Mulligan jumps to his feet and rushes at Hybrid. The massive symbiote completely dwarfs him. He doesn’t get far.
Scream’s tendrils slash out at him.
All we see is a spray of blood
And Venom goes berserk.
He slams into Hybrid and begins pounding on it. The Toxin symbiote falls onto Venom and we see him fade and dissolve into Venom. And we see Venom begin to grow and morph. Red begins to bleed into him as he grows larger.
His voice is altered and strange as he yells. There is rage dripping from him. He is Furious.
His maw opens and he chomps down on Hybrid’s arm.
Hybrid screeches.
A sickly green begins to bleed out from where Venom’s teeth pierce into Hybrid’s mass. Hybrid wails in pain. It flails and whacks at Venom’s head over and over again, but Venom does not relent. His jaws are locked tight. He’s frozen in place as the poison from his fangs seeps into Hybrid’s body.
After a moment, Hybrid begins melting and separating into multiple colorful blobs. The man (maybe Trevor. I dunno) underneath is dead.
Finally Venom unclenches his jaws and lets the body fall to the ground. He reaches one hand out and absorbs the baby blobs into himself. He rests there panting for a moment before turning his gaze to where Mulligan lies on the road.
He gets up and slowly, cautiously approaches. “Mulligan?” The combined, distorted voices of Venom and Toxin says.
Toxin concentrates his form, the red coloring streaked through Venom pooling where he moves, and seeps out of Venom’s chest. He hovers over the man.
“Patrick?” His voice is quiet. Shaky. “Patrick?” Toxin’s tendrils extend and trace over Mulligan’s face. They caress gently over his facial hair and move to his unblinking eyes. His tendrils begin to tremble.
“Patrick…?”
Toxin’s breathing picks up speed. He is shaking more violently.
“Toxin,” Eddie’s voice comes through and Venom’s face opens. “Toxin, I’m so sorry…”
It’s at this point we notice that Scream is gone. It’s just them in that street. Them and the bodies.
Mrs. Chen carefully comes out of her store, staring at everything in startled horror.
Toxin’s breathing sounds physically painful now. He is wheezing rapidly, still holding Mulligan’s head.
“I’ll kill her.” He snarls.
Eddie and Venom both blink in surprise. “Toxin-,” Eddie starts.
“NO!!” Toxin whirls on him. “Shut up!” He shouts, voice breaking. “You would do the same if it were Venom! Look at me and tell me you wouldn’t!!”
They are quiet for a minute.
“Eddie?” Venom asks, quiet in the tense moment.
Eventually, Eddie sighs and says, “You’re right. I would… If they had killed Venom, I…” He doesn’t finish. He has a pained look on his face as he imagines what could have happened.
Toxin’s floating head stares at Eddie and Venom for a moment before turning back to Mulligan. He extends a tendril and uses it to gently close his eyes.
Mrs. Chen approaches the small group of them. “Eddie…?”
Cut to next scene.
Scream is using her tendrils to move through the city at an incredibly fast speed. She is clearly running.
She destroys buildings and cars and hurts bystanders as she runs. She does not care.
We hear a loud ‘thud’ noise off camera and Scream pauses long enough to turn and look back.
Venom is standing on the roof of a building a ways behind her. Then we see…
Toxin leap up onto a building closer to the camera. It focuses on him. He lands and ROARS. (He sounds like Carnage.)
Scream starts running again.
“SCREAM!!!” Toxin’s voice carries across the city. He is hunting her. Chasing her like a predator about to make the kill.
And he plans to make the kill.
We know Venom is following as well, we can hear the heavy thuds as he jumps from rooftop to rooftop, but the camera focuses on the chase between Toxin and Scream. He is gaining on her. And fast.
Shooting spikes as he runs, Toxin looks frighteningly like his parent. There is Carnage in his rage.
A handful of the spikes hit Scream. She howls in pain, immediately her tendrils retract in and she collapses, crashing to the ground. She jumps to her feet just as Toxin lands. Shrieking, she charges in to attack him. Toxin charges too and they collide in a flurry of swinging tentacles. They slash and rip at each other. There is something frighteningly animal about the way they tear into each other.
Everything shakes when Venom lands and joins the fights. He grabs Scream while she’s distracted fighting Toxin.
She turns and tries to fight him as well, but this time she is the one outmatched. She is overwhelmed and losing fast.
When Toxin bites her, it’s over. The poison knocks her to her knees.
Toxin lets her fall.
He stares down at her, watching. The green slowly fades into her body. She melts off of Donna’s body and Toxin picks the symbiote up.
Donna weakly tries to reach for the Scream symbiote, but Toxin is already eating her.
He slurps her up just like Venom did Carnage.
Once she’s gone, Toxin looks down at Donna. “You should go to the hospital,” he says. “Or don’t. The poison will kill you if you don’t get help.”
He turns to Venom, who is receding back into Eddie. Eddie pulls out his phone to call for an ambulance. Toxin, after looking back at Donna one more time, recedes and shrinks back.
Revealing… Mrs. Chen!
Mrs. Chen looks over at Eddie, then, saying “Is this what it’s always like?”
Eddie sighs. “Way more often than you think.”
Mrs. Chen hums for a moment before shrugging and saying, “I could get used to it.” She smiles a little bit.
Fades Out.
Next Scene.
It’s late at night in San Francisco. We see Eddie in his apartment, cleaning up candy wrappers. A purple chicken walks up to him and cocks its head at him.
He smiles and scratches her head. “Hey, Agony.”
“Eddie, the kids are hungry again,” Venom says.
Straightening up, Eddie looks at the other colorful chickens wandering around the room. Eddie sighs. “Guess we gotta stop and see Mrs. Chen.”
We next see Eddie and Venom heading to Mrs. Chen’s shop. He goes up and tries the door, but surprisingly it’s locked.
“Back alley,” Venom supplies. Eddie goes around the corner.
“Hey Mrs. Chen! Hey Toxin!” He calls, smiling and waving.
“Hi Eddie,” Mrs. Chen greets as Toxin’s head emerges briefly to say, “Hey grandpa!”
“Oooh, don’t say that, you make me feel old,” Eddie teases. “Anyway, Mrs. C- do you got the stuff? The kids are hungry again.”
Mrs. Chen sighs and tells Eddie to wait there. She goes back into the shop after unlocking the door. While she’s in there Eddie shuffles his feet and fidgets.
“So when’s the next one supposed to pop out?” He asks into the open air.
“Soon,” Venom answers back, “Any day now.” Eddie hums and nods.
Mrs. Chen comes back out into the alley with hands full of bags. “All right, Eddie, here you go. Try to go easy this time, okay?”
Eddie does a little finger wiggle. “Oh, yeah, yeah, sure.” As he takes hold of the bags, a loud voice shouts and bright lights flood the tiny alleyway.
It’s the fucking cops.
“Let me see what’s in the bag!” One officer shouts.
Eddie and Mrs. Chen both stay perfectly still as the police approach. The cop who yelled grabs one of the bags roughly. The others keep their distance and keep their lights and guns trained on Eddie and Mrs. Chen.
The cop opens the bag and peers down inside, shining his light. He expects to find drugs, but instead finds… chocolate candies and chocolate bars…
After staring into the bag in silence for a moment, he looks up and stares at Eddie.
Nobody talks for a minute until Eddie finally says,
“I have a parasite.”
-End-
Chapter 7: Bit Seven -End Credit Scene!
Summary:
To celebrate the fact that I have power again after 3 days without it- here is the final bit of my story!
The end credits!
Chapter Text
The mid credit scene is a longer one.
It’s after the first bit of credits and starts with Eddie, facing away from the camera, making cooing noises. When he turns, we see that he has Sleeper in his arms.
“I don’t think the oxygen is hurting him,” he says as the little blob with eyes coos and gurgles.
Venom emerges to smile down at him. He wiggles a tentacle in the baby’s face. The little blob yawns, showing teeth as sharp and terrifying as Venom’s, and settles into Eddie’s embrace.
“He is very docile. Nothing like his siblings…”
Eddie smiles down at him. “Pretty cute, though.” He glances at his watch and yelps. “Oh shit, we’re gonna be late!” Venom quickly forms over Eddie and takes the shape of a very nice looking black leather jacket. He also forms himself into a baby carrier that cradles around Sleeper. Blinking, Eddie smiles. “Thanks, V.”
He grabs his keys and wallet and turns to the various animals waddling around the apartment. “Lasher, you’re in charge,” he says to a green Chinchilla sitting on the couch. “Make sure everyone behaves themselves.”
And then he rushes out of the apartment.
The next scene we see is Eddie parking the motorcycle outside of a large, nice looking building. There’s fancy flower displays out in the front. He pulls off his helmet and hurries inside. He reaches a doorway and sneaks inside. We follow him into the room and see Anne wearing a wedding dress, getting her hair done. She frowns at Eddie’s reflection in her mirror.
“You’re late,” Anne says.
Eddie walks over to her side. “Sorry, sorry,” he says, “Sleeper was being fussy.” He places his hand on the baby carrier gently and smiles a little. Anne huffs at him. Leaning down, Eddie grins at her. “You ready for this?”
She smiles, then, turning her head to look at him. “So ready.”
We don’t see Anne walking down the aisle (mostly because I don’t know if her dad is alive or not in the movie-verse.) but we see her and Dan share their first kiss as a married couple. Everyone at the wedding cheers and Eddie smiles from where he stands by Anne’s side as the Man of Honor. We hear Venom sniffling in Eddie’s head.
“I always cry at weddings,” Venom says, still sniffling exaggeratedly.
Eddie rolls his eyes. “You haven’t been to any weddings.” Venom calls him a pussy.
In the next shot, we see Eddie keeping people from looking at Sleeper. “No, no,” he tells the interested person(s). “He’s super fussy. If you wake him up, I won’t get him down again for hours.” When they finally leave, he sighs. He goes and snatches a drink from somewhere, only to be caught by another person. The bridesmaid who stops him is all smiles and bedroom eyes.
“Mmm, you know, there’s always something sexy about a man with a baby,” she says.
Eddie made a bit of a face at that. When she runs her hand over his bicep, he makes more of a face. Taking a step away, he says, “Sorry, I’m, uh, in a relationship.” The woman pouts unhappily and Eddie quickly scurries away. He huffs.
“Eddie!” Venom gets his attention, making a tiny tentacle to poke the side of his neck with. “Eddie, they are going to throw the bouquet!” He turns to look, smiling as people gather in front of Anne. She’s giggling and turns around. The camera focuses over on Anne. We watch her prepare to throw it behind her, doing that motion people do like they’re about to throw it without actually throwing it. As she tosses it into the air, the camera follows the flying flowers. We see it spinning as it goes through the air before it’s stopped and caught by a shimmering, gooey, black tentacle.
We move over to Eddie, who hadn’t moved from his spot at all, and we see Venom yank the bouquet over to him. Eddie takes it into his hands and blinks, wide eyed and face going pink.
Venom says, “Come on, Eddie. Make an honest symbiote out of me.”
And Eddie laughs.
"Love you too, Venom."
The end.
