Chapter Text

Tommy blew raspberries at dream and was annoying him.

"Tommy Shut up. I am trying to wri-" Dream started to tell Tommy to shut up but he was quickly interupted by the boy annoying him.

"NoW tHaT iNtErStAtE iS PavEd WiTh MeMoRIes- im making fun of you." Tommy stated and continued to mock dream by singing his song.

"Tommy!" Dream snapped and glared at him "Please. I am trying to write." He said again and stepped closer to Tommy

"What are you writing dream, is it- is it fan fi- is it fiction?" Tommy stuttered out as he walked over to the cat. Dream sighed quietly and rolled his eyes as he shook his head

"No. Its not fan fiction" he snickered and watched Tommy walk over to the cat. He smiled some in confusion, "What are you doing?" He asked as he watched Tommy pet the cat.

Tommy turned around then yelled "Come with me Pussboy!" He ran to the other side of the Cell the looked back and saw dream standing next to the cat

"Leave him- leave him alone man." Tommy huffed and pushed dream away from the cat. "Hello! Come with me! Lets teach you uh.." he started as he walked to the other side of the cell again. He looked back and saw the cat walk over to dream instead and raised an eyebrow. He watched the cat hop back onto the chest and started laughing

"Why are you- why do you always- hes so-" he gave up on the can't and went back to annoying dream.

"What are you writing?" He asked as he turned back to dream.

"I'm just writing to pass time. You know we're gonna be in here for a really long time. We can't even tell what time it is" dream answered and started walking around the cell some

"Oh Pussboy you are just so ugly" Tommy said to the cat as he walked over to it. That made Dream frown and furrow his eyebrows

"Wha- Tommy you're being mean" he scolded as he walked over to the cat as well. He started to pet the cat until Tommy punched it. Dream gasped and turned to Tommy startled. "Tommy!" He yelled and turned to him.

Tommy on the other hand was snickering "whats up dream" he mocked and started laughing "whats up, whats up." He said then went back to mocking dreams song as he ran around the cell.

"You are annoying." Dream said bluntly as he watched him. But Tommy just continued to run around the cell like an idiot mocking dreams music

"That is- i am making fun of you- I am making fun of you and its funny" Tommy said as he started to walk around Dream in circles

"Yeah I can tell and you're being annoying, you're doing it on purpose" Dream said, clearly unamused as he crossed his arms and walked to the lectern "You're not- sit still, I feel like- there's not been like- a minute straight in this entire time for however long you've been here-" he started but Tommy just started bouncing around him and making noise over him

"Bum bum bum- have you seen Charlie and the chocolate factory?" He asked them stopped to look at dream

". . .yes I have seen it" dreams said, very annoyed as he leaned against the sink

"Why are you leaning against the shitter?" Tommy asked, clearly trying to annoy dream

Dream just kinda blinked at him, walked away from the sink and turned to it. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and looked back at Tommy. "Thats a sink!?" He said, obviously more confused than annoyed

Tommy started laughing and moved away some

Dream just rolled his eyes and walked back to the cat. "I think that, the cat is..the best thing that has happened to us" he said then walked away toward the lava some

"Oh my god" dream said and looked back at Tommy after looking at the lava.

"Hello?" Sam spoke through the speaker into the room

"Sam!" Tommy yelled and rushed over to the lava "SAAM!" he screamed and started oacing back and forth some

"Hello?" Sam repeated and sounded a bit confused
"Oh my god- its been- how long has it been now?" Tommy asked and started pacing more. "Its been 19 days" he said confidently as he watched the lava excitedly "I am getting out of here alright?" He said matter of factly

"It has not been 19 days Tommy. How's it been going along in there" Sam said as he shook his head and waited for Tommy to answer him

"I'm good, dreams just been singing to me, repeatedly, about girls. That he loves" Tommy said and stood in front of the lava

"Okay" Sam said and smiled some as he shook his head, he was glad Tommy was still being his usual goofy self

"Are you um- what are you hear for sam? I can't see you" Tommy asked and started pacing again

"I'm here to drop some food down in there" Sam answered and started to get the food prepped "I figured you guys were getting low on potatoes?" He said, trying to just make small talk to keep Tommy calm

"Yeah" Tommy confirmed as he took a bite out of a potato and chewed it. "Yeah?" Sam repeated "Okay, yeah well-" he started to say something until Tommy cut him off

"Can we have uh- a bit less grub and a bit more scrub? Ain't that right dream" he asked and walked around the cell some then looked at dream

Sam frowned some "no, sorry I only have potatoes" he said then dropped down some potatoes and a clock.

Tommy took both items and smiled "oooo a clock! Get rid of the l boys" he mumbled the last part to himself and smiled childishly then started walking back to the lava

"Can i- can you- can you- Let me out." Tommy stuttered then swallowed anxiously

"No..Tommy you can't leave yet.." Sam said apologetically "I haven't found out what was causing the security issue yet.."

"Sam- Sam no i- I know what type of- i remember what I signed. I remember everything I've done ever. I'm like an elephant. Let me out. Now." He demanded, obviously starting to get anxious as he paced the cell faster

"Tommy i can't let you out.." Sam said again and Tommy seemed to start freaking out a bit.

"Sam- Sam- Sam- can you pull down the lava so I can look at you- please." He said and started to walk back to the lava.

"No Tommy thats against the protocol I cant" Sam said and sighed in frustration

"Whats going on. Whats going on" Tommy said, starting to get annoyed

"What do you mean whats going on?" Sam asked, obviously confused by Tommy question

Tommy sighed and walked back over to the cat "how much longer sam" he huffed and ate another potato

"I mean..just a while longer Tommy, I have to make sure the prison is secure. You know this Tommy you signed the book" Sam spoke and took a deep breath

"I know what I signed, I known my rights let me out sam." Tommy demanded and started pacing more

"If I let you out while there's an issue that could affect the security of the prison" Sam said started to get annoyed with Tommy. "Just hang in there Tommy" he said then left

"Wait wait wait wait wait- no no no no- Sam- Sam- Sam! Don't go- Sam please don't go! Dont...." Tommy started to panic but quickly stopped calling after Sam as he knew Sam was already gone. He took a deep breath and just stared at the lava

He turned around and saw that dream was right behind him so he pushed him away quickly and made a face

"Its not that bad Tommy, I've been in here longer than you, way longer than you. If anything its even better for me now. Because you're here and I have a cat, well it's not my cat, its your cat, but still" Dream said and shrugged as he walked over to the cat

When dream walked away from the cat and started talking more Tommy just kind of ignored him and walked to the cat. He scowled at it then hit it again. He looked at dream then back at the cat when dream said they could get out together. "No i don't want that. I dont want you getting out with me." He said bluntly then looked back at the cat

"Excuse me, you're in my spot pussboy!" Tommy shouted at the cat and started hitting it again.

"Tommy leave him alone- quit hitting him, Tommy stop!" Dream started yelling at Tommy when be kept hitting the cat and stepped in from of the cat so Tommy couldn't hit it anymore

"Do you like this cat dream?" Tommy asked and crossed his arms

"Yes. I do." Dream answered immediately

"Why?" Tommy said, seemingly mocking him as he watched dreams face

"Because-" dream started to say why but Tommy spoke over him

"Why does he keep- thats my spot" he huffed as the car ran back up and sat on the chest again. Tommy walked over to the cat he hit it again then walked awake. "Come this way pussboy. Come here." He said and the cat followed

"Tommy stop, stop you don't know- hes probably low on-" Dream started to say and Tommy just looked at him. "Oh what, do you love him? Do you love him." He asked as dream stepped closer to the cat.

Dream looked at the cat and smiled softly. "Yes, I do"

Tommy rolled his eyes and walked over to the cat because it had gone back to the chest to sit. "Oh my- Cats are so fucking dumb, their ears are just-" he started to say while repeatedly hitting the cat. He stopped then the cat let out a pained meow then collapsed. He had killed the cat.

"This way-" he started to tell it to follow him then realized jt was dead. He turned to dream then walked to him, getting in his face. "Yeah, and this is what happens when you love something.

Dream stayed silent and just watched Tommy as Tommy started to walk away.

"You know what..you've motivated me Tommy. You motivated me to get out and when i get out I'll get my revenge on everybody who wronged me." He said and Tommy started to panic. So be pushed dream away from him. But dreamed pushed him back.

"What the fuck Dream-" Tommy said as he punched Dream. Dream glared at him and punched back so Tommy hit him again. "Stop hitting me tommy." Dream said bluntly

Dream walked away from Tommy and Tommy threw a potato at him. "You're evil man." He yelled and dream just looked at him. "How am I anymore evil than you are? Tommy you just killed a cat!" Dream yelled back

"Fuck you man. Don't you ever compare me to you. You have manipulated so many people, you hurt people, you've betrayed people!" Tommy screamed at dream then punched him

Dream punched him back again and started to get pissed off. He kept punching Tommy again, and again, and again. Tommy pushed him off in fear and screamed, "Dream stop- SAM! SAM HELP!" He managed to slip away from dream and ran toward the lava

Dream followed him pissed off and annoyed. He pushed Tommy away from the lava and toward the water. "You can't do anything about this Tommy. I have the revive book. I got it from Jschlatt." He said with a smirk and cornered Tommy. "Bullshit! Jschlatt is dead. I've seen his grave, his corpse is there!" Tommy screamed back

Dream smirked and stepped closer to Tommy. "Then why don't you go say hi to him." Then he slammed tommyd head against the obsidian wall. He used so much force that it killed Tommy the first time.

Chapter Text

It had been about 6 hours since Dream had killed Tommy and he was waiting for Tommy to wake up. He had gone to sleep because he knew it would take anywhere from 5 hours to a day and a half. But when he woke up to a toddler crying, he knew something hadn't gone right.

He rolled over and sat up, obviously confused to the sound of a crying toddler. He looked at where Tommy's body had been and there was a blonde toddler that looked anywhere from a year old to maybe 3 years old

"Oh shit-" He whispered as he walked to..Tommy? "Fuck" he mumbled and pinched the bridge of his nose. He knew that he would have to call for Sam or figure out how to age Tommy back to his proper age.

He glanced at the lava and bit his lip, Sam hadn't come to check back on them yet so he did the only thing he could think off. He knocked the sink over, water splashing onto the floor and almost immediately evaporating from the hot obsidian. It steamed up and burned the hell out of Dreams arms

He grunted in pain as the alarm started to go off, it was the one that alerted Sam to something being broken or a block being placed. The alarm only seemed to scare Tommy more as he started sobbing in fear. Dream made a face and hesitantly tried to pick Tommy up. Tommy squirmed at first but stopped because dream was covering his ears now.

After about 2 or 3 minutes the alarm shut off and sams booming voice filled the cell. "What the hell are you doing dream." Sam questioned and was about to start lecturing him for breaking blocks until he heard a baby crying.

"Why does it sound like there's a baby in your cell, where's tommy?" Sam asked, the confusion in his voice audible. Dream signed quietly and knew he was about to get in more trouble but knew it would be easier for sam to just punish him and take tommy

"Damnit- Lower the lava Sam." Dream snapped and Sam just became further confused.

"Are you really that stupid dream? You know I'm not going to lower the lava. Answer my question, where is Tommy and why does it sound like you have a baby in your cell." Sam repeated and tried to look at the security camera he had in dreams cell. It was down so he rebooted it and waited for a few minutes

What he saw when the cam turned back on made him freeze and his heart drop to his stomach. He saw dream from a few different angles, holding a baby that was wearing the shirt Tommy had been in last night.

Without thinking he pulled the lever for the lava to stop flowing but drank a fire resistance potion just in case. "Stay where you are dream! What the fuck did you do!" He yelled and as soon as the lava was down he sent the platform out with him on it. He had his netherite Armour on and his Wardens Will sword as well

As soon as he got to dream he pointed the sword at dream and looked pissed. "What the fuck did you do dream." He growled as dream backed up some

"Tommy wouldn't quit hitting me so I hit him back. I hit a little too hard and he died so I revived him. But..it didn't work like it did last time so now..I guess Tommy is a baby?" Dream explained as he backed away from a very pissed off Sam.

Sam blinked and just kind of looked at dream like he was actually insane for a second. "Are you actually fucking insane!" Sam boomed in a loud voice, startling Tommy and making him start crying again.

Sam tensed and immediately looked at Tommy. ". . .I dont even know what to do with you right now. Give me tommy." He growled and practically snatched Tommy from dream. He was contemplating killing dream because he knew the idiot would just respawn and land in the water

But killing him didn't feel like a good enough punishment for what dream did. What he let dream do..he was supposed to keep Tommy Safe and now he was...well, not dead, but a toddler again. He held Tommy close to him as he backed out of the cell and pointed the sword at dream

"Stay here. You try anything else and I'll kill you." He said in a slightly terrifying voice and Dream surprisingly listened. He was probably just glad to be rid of Tommy

Sam watched dream start pacing some as he carried Tommy back to the other side of the platform. Once he was back to the controls he lowered the lava and looked at the still crying Tommy. He sighed quietly and pulled his warden mask off

"I'm so sorry kid..shhh shh" he whispered then started to gently bounce Tommy as he opened his communicator. He contacted the first person who came to mind, Puffy.

'We have a problem...meet me at the community house' he whispered to puffy then started to head to the community house. He really hoped that she would be there because he had no idea what to do. Right now he wanted to kill dream but he couldn't do anything while he had tommy

Sam took a deep breath and exhaled deeply as he walked into the community house. Thankfully, puffy was already there. By the look on her face he could tell she already knew the problem was bad.

Puffy looked at Sam with worry and confusion on her face. "I got your message whats-. . .why do you have a baby?" She started to ask what was wrong but got distracted by the fact that Sam was holding a baby.

"This IS the problem..its tommy.. dream... Dream killed him but when he brought him back it didn't work how it was supposed..and now Tommy is a toddler.." he explained and Puffy went from looking confused to pissed

"What do you mean its Tommy. This isn't funny Sam. Don't joke about Dream Killing Tommy. What the hell is wrong with you!" She yelled and startled Tommy who covered his ears and whimpered quietly.

She noticed the baby's reaction and tensed some when she saw Tommy's birthmark on the back of his hand as he covered his ears. The red in her face from being pissed drained when she saw the birthmark.

It really was Tommy.

"Fuck..give him here. Go deal with dream. I'll take care of Tommy but if you don't figure out how to fix this im gonna kill dream then you." She hissed and glared at him as she took tommy

He looked scared but as soon as she held him close to her chest, one of her curls brushed against his hand and caught his attention. He looked at it and grabbed it then pulled on it a bit

The tight, bouncy curl straightened out some when he pulled on it so Puffy didn't even notice at first because she was still scolding Sam.

Sam looked like a little kid being scolded for failing a maths test. It was obvious he felt terrible but Puffy was still tearing into him for being irresponsible, stupid, reckless and a few other things

When Sam walked away Puffy looked down at Tommy and sighed softly. Tommy looked up at her and noticed her Horns then his eyes got wide and he looked really excited. It was honestly adorable and Puffy couldn't help but smile sadly.

"What are we gonna do tommy.." she said quietly and gently rubbed his back some. He was still playing with her curly hair and obviously couldn't respond but that wasn't the point

She took a deep breath and looked around some then started to Tommy back to her base. She didn't really want anyone to know about what happened to Tommy yet so she made it fast. When she got back to her base she took a deep breath and opened a chest

"Let's get you in some clothes that actually fit buddy.." she said quietly then found an old set of clothes that she hoped would fit him

After struggling with him for a few minutes he was now dressed in a green shirt and blue jean overalls as well as some socks so his feet didn't get cold and baby shoes

"Okay Tommy, let's see...You hungry?" She asked softly, hoping he at least understood her. She had no idea if he still knew everything he did like before or if he only knew what he did at this age.

When he clapped and made a happy squeak she smiled some and took it as a yes. "Okay then, you want some carrots, apple sauce or mashed potato?" She asked as she showed him all three options.

He reached for the apple sauce and giggled happily which made Puffy smile some. She scooped Tommy up and carried him to a table.

Puffy sat with him as she fed him the apple sauce and had to keep taking the spoon from him

"No, lemme hold the spoon, your gonna make a mess tommy" she said softly send gently booped him.

Puffy cleaned him up when he was done eating then scooped him up and tensed some as she heard a knock on her door

She walked to it and opened it hesitantly then tensed more when she saw who had come to visit her

Captainpuffy opened her door to see who had knocked and tensed some.

"Hey..bad..whats up?" Puffy asked anxiously as she backed up some in case Bad was trying to come in. BadBoyHalo raised an eyebrow when he saw Puffy holding a baby on her hip and got completely sidetracked

"Hey Puffy..? Why do you have a baby?" Bad asked and tilted his head some. His face lit up and he smiled brightly "Oh! Are you babysitting!" He asked and she exhaled quietly

"Uh..yeah, babysitting.." Puffy said quietly and looked down at Tommy. He was currently just staring at Bad, probably interested in the man's demon like complexion.

Bad smiled brightly and followed puffy while looking at the baby. "Awe hes so cute! Whats his name?" Bad asked and wiggled his fingers at Tommy then looked back at Puffy

Puffy opened her mouth to say Tommy but stopped herself quickly "oh um..." she looked down at Tommy and bit her lip then looked back up at Bad.

"Uh..Tom..us? Thomas. His name is Thomas" She said then watched Bad's face for a reaction. Technically she wasn't lying, Tommy's first name was Thomas. He just perfered to go by Tommy

"Awe! So cute! Anyways, I came over to see if you were busy. Nothing important, I can see that you are though so I'll heave you to it!" Bad told her then waved at Tommy

"Bye Thomas! Bye puffy, I'll see you around!" Bad said cheerfully as he turned to leave. He opened the door and saw that the rain clouds from earlier had cleared out which made him smile

Puffy let out a sigh of relief when Bad seemed to believe her and left. She felt a little bad because she had kinda lied to BBH by not telling him the full truth. But she knew that she shouldn't tell anyone

Tommy tugged on Puffys shirt so she looked at him and smiled softly. "Hey Tom's, you wanna go play with some flowers?" She asked softly gently booped him

He giggled at her and started clapping so she assumed that was him saying yes. "You wanna see some bees?" She asked and chuckled softly as she started to carry him to a nearby field

She looked around some then sat down with Tommy. She sat him down in front of her and handed him a few flowers from her inventory

He took what he was handed but dropped all of them but the Allium. Puffy smiled when she noticed this then giggled softly

"Thats actually the kind of flower that Ranboo gave to you when he first meet you. Do you like that flower?" She asked him, not really sure if he could understand her or not

Tommy just kinda looked at her and blinked so she assumed that he couldn't understand her. So she sighed softly and just watched him play with The Allium and a red Tulip

She sniffed quietly and watched him quietly until he tried to stand up. She went from sitting with her legs crossed in front of her to sitting on her knees quickly because she had no idea if he could walk by himself or not

Tommy just giggled and clapped as he wobbled over to her. Puffy relaxed some and looked at him as he wobbled some. When he was close enough to her he tried to push the flower into her hair.

That made Puffy laugh and gently take his hand. She took the flower and fixed it in her hair then smiled at him. "Thank you Toms" she said softly and he clapped then reached to grab at one of her horns

She quickly grabbed his hand and put a flower in it but didn't say anything about him trying to grab her horn. "Look at the pretty purple flower. Can you say purple?" She asked him softly

Tommy just kind of looked at her for a second then tapped on the flower with his hand "pa...pap.." he was trying to say purple so she said it again for him. "Purple" she repeated with a smile

"Par..pal. . .purpur?" He babbled and looked from the flower to Puffy. She smiled brightly and cheered as she clapped. "Very good Tommy!" She praised and opened her inventory

She pulled a cookie out of her inventory and thought for a second then handed it to Tommy. "Here, cookie" she said softly and he looked at it after she gave it. "Oocie?" He repeated and she giggled

"You eat it, its good" she said softly and pulled another one out then took a bite of it. She chewed it and smiled softly, "see, yummy" she said softly

He put part of the cookie in his mouth and nommed on it quietly. He had a few teeth but not very many. He wobbled over to her and sat in her lap as he started to eat his cookie. He rubbed his eye as he ate his cookie and looked around some

She chuckled quietly but just let him sit in her lap so he could look around. She leaned over some to make sure he didn't have too much of the cookie in his mouth then leaned back some as she yawned quietly.

He made a squeaky noise and jumped up, startling puffy as she looked around some. Tommy had seen a cow and got excited. She relaxed some and giggled softly

"You wanna go pet the cow Tommy?" She asked softly and scooped him up then walked to the cow. She remembered when Tommy had a pet cow names Henry. She pulled a lead out of her inventory and put it around the Cows neck

She let Tommy pet the cow and he started giggling and clapping excitedly.

"Do you like the cow Tommy?" Puffy asked him happily and he squealed in joy and excitement

"How about we Name him something, what do you wanna name him Tommy?" Puffy asked Tommy as she set him down then placed an enderchest.

She opened it and pulled out a name tag and a pen then used her netherite pickaxe to pick it back up.

She pulled the cap off her pen and looked at Tommy while she waited for him to pick a name

"He'ry!" He shouted and bounced up and down. She smiled softly at Tommy when he said Henry and wrote the name on the tag.

She scooped him back up and put him on the cows back while she held him up some.

She heard voices but didn't even care, she was helping Toby stay on Henry and talking to him. Thats all that mattered to her right now.

She smiled at Tommy and glanced over her shoulder as Sam walked over to her. She is ignored him and continued to talk to Tommy as if Sam wasn't there

". . .Puffy..can we talk?" Sam asked and Puffy didn't even look at Sam.

"Unless you found out how to fix Tommy. Go away." She said in the same soft, childish voice she had been using to talk to Tommy.

Sam frowned and took a deep breath. "Puffy please..dream said he doesn't know how to fix it but he knows someone who does.." Sam said quietly. His posture was tense and he was obviously stressed and upset

Puffy scoffed quietly and rolled her eyes. "Go away. Figure it out. This is your mess and I won't help you fix it. I'll look after Tommy because I care about him. But I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing it for him" she said, her voice no longer soft and higher pitched

Sam swallowed thickly and got very quiet before he spoke. His voice was quiet and cracked. "Puffy please… this isn't something I can do alone and you're the only other person who knows other than dream about that happened"

Puffy scoffed and scooped Tommy up before she turned to Sam. She poked him in the chest and glared at Sam. "You let this mess happen. You left Tommy unattended with dream. He was in your care when dream killed him and then turned him into a toddler. Suck it up and figure it out Samuel." She snapped at him and pushed him away from her.

"Now. If you'll excuse us. Tommy and I have to take Henry back to my house and we're gonna set up a pen." She said and started to walk past him with Tommy on her hip with the lead with Henry in her other hand.

Sam watched as Puffy took Tommy and a cow back to her base. He took a deep breath and frowned some. He knew this whole mess was his fault but he genuinely needed someone else to be with him for what he was about to do.

Dream had told him who might be able to help reverse the effect but specifically told him not to go alone or he could lose a life.

It was dangerous but maybe Sam deserved it for letting Tommy get killed by dream. He decided to just get it over with and travel to Las Nevadas.

It wasn't like Las Navadas was dangerous or too far to get there in a decent time. What with Nether portals shortening how long it took to get there, it was easy.

But he was dreading what was to come once he got there. Nevertheless, he made the trip and got there before noon. He took a deep breath as he made his way to Foolish's Sand temple and looked around some for Foolish.

"Hello? Foolish?" Sam called anxiously as he looked around a bit. "Sam?" Foolish called, making Sam jump some when Foolish called out his name. Sam was a bit jumpy at the moment

"Hey Sam. What's up?" Foolish asked and raised an eyebrow as he walked down to Sam

Sam forced himself to look at Foolish and smiled. "Hey, I uh..are you busy? I kinda need to talk to you about something but I don't wanna interrupt you if you were doing something" Sam started to stumble over his words and that made Foolish raise an eyebrow

"Uh..nope, not busy. What's up? You seem anxious, is everything okay?" Foolish asked as he started to walk past Sam to leave the temple.

Sam took a deep breath and followed the Shark totem. "Um..it's a long story but..I need to know if you have the revival book. Dream said it was in Las Nevadas and I need to know where it is exactly." Sam spoke quickly and almost ran into Foolish because he just stopped abruptly

Foolish stopped without warning and turned to Sam. "The what? Wait. Why were you talking to dream about a revival book?" Foolish asked, starting to get skeptical as he crossed his arms

Sam took a deep breath and looked at Foolish then opened his mouth to explain everything. He seemed tense and stressed as he explained what happened to Tommy and Foolish just kind of watched him

When Sam was done Foolish just kind of stared at him like he was insane for a second. "So let me get this straight. You left Tommy. In the prison with dream. Dream killed him. Brought him back as a baby. And you need a revival book to fix him." He reiterated and Sam let out a stressed sigh

"Yes, so do you have it?" He asked and looked at Foolish. Foolish looked at Sam in disgust for a second then punched him in the face.

Sam tensed, not expecting the sudden attack from the totem God. "What the hell is wrong with you Sam! Why would you leave Tommy with dream! How irresponsible could you be! Dream has hurt so many people and Tommy was one of them! How could you leave Tommy in there!" Foolish yelled and started to step closer to sam

Sam put his hand out in front of him to defend himself. "Stop- Foolish I didn't think dream would kill him- he was in there for a few days because I was trying to fix a security issue-" Sam started to explain but Foolish punched him again

"You left him there for more than a day! How fucking stupid are you Sam!" Foolish yelled and Sam backed away from him. "Stop! Foolish I had to! I couldn't risk dream getting out!" Sam tried to defend himself

Foolish was about to punch Sam again but something caught his eye and he backed away from Sam. Sam let out a sigh of relief until he turned to see what Foolish had been looking at

He jumped and scrambled away from the floating girl with blonde hair and a smile mask. "What the fuck- who are you?" Sam shouted, startled

The girl was wearing a green shirt either a black long-sleeved shirt under it, a green cape, brown shorts and brown knee length boots

The girl turned her head toward Sam and said nothing at first. Foolish sighed quietly and shook his head. "Drista stop trying to scare Sam. What do you want." He asked the younger goddess and walked away from Sam

Drista started giggling as she followed Foolish and didn't even further acknowledge Sam. "Dream used the wrong revival book so XD sent me to give you the right one. I like Tommy and I don't want him to stay a toddler" Drista explained and pulled her hood down.

Foolish looked at her and stopped walking for a second. "So where's the right book" he asked and she seemed to pause

". . .I don't have it- crap, XD is gonna be mad.. wait I need to check something really quick I'll be back Foolish" She said then disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Sam was still trying to process that there was just a floating girl who couldn't have been older than 13 or 14 talking to Foolish.

He knew Foolish was a Totem God but he didn't know that he talked to other gods? His brain was running a little slow and he just realized that the girl, Drista, she knew Tommy's name. And she knew what had happened

"Wait a minute- Who was that? How did she know about Tommy? Who's XD, is there more than one revival book?" Sam started to bombard Foolish with questions

But Foolish just pinched the bridge of his nose as he sighed deeply. "Stop asking questions. You don't deserve answers to any of them. Just wait here for Drista to come back with the right Book." He snapped at Sam, startling him

". . .alright..sorry" Sam said quietly and rubbed his nose. It had been bleeding from Foolish punching him but he knew he kind of deserved it

After about 10 minutes, drista returned and had a book in her hand. "Foolish..we have a problem..the book is missing a lot of pages" She said and handed him the book

Foolish let out a sigh of annoyance and took the book. "Who's been in the library?" Foolish asked, annoyance lacing his tone

Drista shook her head as she spoke. "That's the thing, I have no idea. XD doesn't need the library, I only go in there if I need something and it's never the Life books. Its things on how to reverse damage or bedrock" Drista explain and floated around Foolish because he had turned away from her

Sam just kind of watched her and stayed quiet until she said something about Life books. "Life books? What does that mean, are there more than two revival books?" Sam asked and Drista turned to him. He tensed some and stepped back from her

She creeped him out because she didn't seem to have a face. She was wearing a mask that looked like a different variation of Dream's smile mask.

She seemed to sense his discomfort and pushed the mask out of her face and onto her forehead. Underneath the mask she had a face, her eyes were green and she had freckles just like dream. She looked how he imagined dreams little sister would

". . .are you dreams sister? Is he actually a god?" Sam asked before he could stop himself. She smirked some then started laughing, her laughter slightly unsettling somehow

Sam glanced at Foolish, confused as to why Drista was laughing at his question. He hadn't thought it was funny or amusing in any way.

Then Drista looked at him as she floated around him. "Dream is my brother, yes, but he's no longer a God. He gave up his powers to be mortal and live amongst you mortals. He was a fool for it and now he's in prison. He wouldn't be in prison if he was the God of this world. You humans would have worshiped him for what he did and accepted it as him just being a God. But he chose mortality over being a God like an idiot." Drista explained and tilted her head some as she inspected Sam more

All the color drained from Sam's face when she spoke about dream and how he had been a god but gave it up. She spoke as if what Dream had done wasn't bad.

"He lives as a mortal so he is punished as one too. Had he stayed a God he wouldn't be where he is now...even though he deserves it for what he did to Tommy in exile." Drista continued speaking and her tone darkened when she said something about Tommy in exile

Sam furrowed his eyebrows some "what..do you mean? What did dream do to Tommy in exile?" Sam asked and looked at Foolish then back at Drista

Drista raised an eyebrow at him then scoffed quietly. "He tortured Tommy. He forced him to put his Armor and things in a hole then blew it up with tnt. I tried to give Tommy some of his things back but XD told me to stop interfering. He manipulated Tommy over and over again, he told Tommy he sent out party invitations but never did and made Tommy think nobody cared about him. When Tommy escaped to Techno, Dream hunted him down and Techno had to hide Tommy from him. I don't blame Tommy for not wanting to tell anyone what happened, it was horrible"

She told Sam everything that dream did to Tommy in exile and Sam felt more nauseous the more she told him. When she stopped talking he clutched his stomach and hunched over as he vomited into the sand.

He coughed and felt himself start shaking some. "I..I had no idea..if I had known I would have never let Tommy see dream..I would have done something sooner.." Sam spoke quietly and looked at drista.

Drista scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Yeah well, you can't do anything about it now accept-" she started to say something but Foolish cut her off.

"Drista, that's enough. I already know what you're going to say and it's not happening. He's not making a deal with XD. I already made that mistake and look where it got me." Foolish snapped at her and she looked at him.

That further confused Sam and he opened his mouth to say something, "Wait, Whos XD and..aren't you and Dream brothers? So technically isn't Drista your sister also whoever XD is.. are you family? Why would you need to make a deal with a God if you are a god?" Sam asked and Foolish tensed some

"Dream isn't my brother. Puffy adopted me and XD practically forced Dream onto Puffy. Drista isn't my sister and XD isn't my brother or related to me at all. I'm practically his pet. I wasn't a God before I met XD. He made me one and I still don't have the same powers as him." Foolish explained

Sam took a deep breath and nodded. "I see..but, If dream was a God, how did he give up his mortality and end up with Puffy? How does that work?" Sam asked and looked at Drista then Foolish

"When Dream told XD that he wanted to be mortal to live on this world..XD had to kill him and make him a child..he turned Dream into a baby and asked Puffy to look after him.." Drista was the one to speak this time. The way she spoke about XD made it seem like she was scared of him.

"So wait- Dream was a god, then this XD guy killed him..? Made him mortal and gave him to Puffy.. Is Puffy immortal? Because she looks the same age as me and I've known her for a while" Sam asked and looked at Drista then Foolish

"She..made an agreement with XD...you need to talk to her about it because i don't know much and Its not Dristas place to tell you about that." Foolish said then took a deep breath.

"I'll talk with XD.. You can stay or go. Its not my place to tell you to stay or leave." Foolish told Sam then walked back to the Pyramid

Sam nodded and swallowed thickly. "Right.. I'm gonna go talk to puffy then.." Sam said quietly and started to walk back to the portal.

Things just became a lot more complicated..

Chapter Text

Puffy smiled at Tommy as she gently booped him. She had brought him and his new pet cow Henry back to her base.

Henry was currently eating some grass while Tommy sat with Puffy and made flower crowns.

"You take the stem and fold it under this one..then add another flower. Which flower do you wanna add next?" Puffy asked Tommy and showed him his options.

He chose a red Tulip and an Allium which made her smile. He had been choosing those too a lot but she thought they looked nice together.

So she let him continue to pick the next flower when she needed it. Soon enough they had made two flower crowns, one for Puffy and one for Tommy.

Tommy giggled and clapped happily when Puffy put his flower crown on him. He stood up and insisted on putting puffys crown on her head

Puffy just smiled and leaned down some so Tommy couldn't reach. "Thank you Tommy" she said sweetly and smiled at him

"Pre'y shep!" Tommy shouted excitedly and clapped as he bounced happily. Puffy giggled with him and smiled softly

"Thank you Tommy, are you thirsty?" She asked him softly and he thought for a second then nodded

"Wan juic!" He shouted and made uppy hands at her when she stood up. He wanted her to carry him

She chuckled quietly but scooped him up and rested him on her hip as she carried him into the house.

She didn't think she had any sippy cups left but she was glad she checked. Because she found an old blue sippy cup in the box of old baby stuff.

She was glad she never threw it out as she set Tommy down and walked to wash the cup. He took that opportunity to run around the kitchen like a little gremlin

Puffy smiled softly as he ran around, filling the cup while Tommy was distracted. She started to leave the kitchen and looked at Tommy

He saw her start to leave and stopped running. "Were goen?" He asked her, his bottom lip starting to quiver because he thought she was leaving him

She quickly scooped him up and soothed him by rubbing his back. "Oh, none of that toms, i'm not going anywhere, here's your juice honey" She said softly and gave him his juice.

He took it and sniffed quietly as he drank it quietly. He finished drinking it then rubbed his eyes sleepily.

He had been running around collecting flowers with Puffy for almost an hour and then ran around while she got him juice. So he was pretty tired by now

Puffy noticed and started humming quietly as she rocked Tommy back and forth slowly in her arms. Tommy forced his eyes open and it was obvious he was fighting sleep

But after a few minutes of Puffy humming to him and rocking him, he ended up falling asleep with his head on her shoulder.

Puffy smiled softly then slowly and carefully laid him down on the sofa. She sat with him while he napped and grabbed a book to read while he slept

She stayed close in case he had a bad dream or started to fuss in his sleep. Thankfully though, he napped peacefully and for almost an hour and a half

Puffy looked up from her book when there was another knock on the door and assumed it was Sam.

So she got up and closed the book quietly as she walked to the door then opened it. She was about to say something until she saw Ghostbur instead of Sam

She saw that he had a basket that looked like it came from Niki's bakery and smiled softly. "Hi Ghostbur, what's up?" She asked him and he smiled at her

"Hi! Niki asked me to bring you some cookies and bread on my way to Phil's house! So I brought this to you" Ghostbur explained and smiled brightly at Puffy

She smiled back and gently took it, "Thank you Ghostbur, would you like to come in for a bit? I think it's about to rain and I'm not sure that you'll make it to Phil's in time" Puffy offered and stepped out of the way

Ghostbur looked at the sky as a drop of water fell onto his forehead. It startled him and he quickly moved inside.

"Oh no! It's already raining, I thought I would make it to Phil's.." Ghostbur pouted and rubbed at his forehead some.

He heard something and looked over Puffys shoulder to see Tommy waking up on the couch

Puffy turned around and saw Tommy rubbing his eyes as he started to sit up. She quickly walked over to him and set the basket on the coffee table

Tommy yawned sleepily and rubbed his eyes as he sat up and looked around for Puffy

He looked at her when she sat next to him and crawled into her lap. He was still sleepy from his nap and was kind of clingy

Puffy chuckled softly and let him sit in her lap then started to run her fingers through his hair.

"Awe, did you have a nice nap Toms?" She asked him softly and looked at Ghostbur

"Is that Tommy?" He asked, slightly confused because he could remember what Tommy looked like as a baby

Puffy bit her lip and nodded. "It's a really long story..but yeah, i'm gonna take care of him until Sam figures out how to fix him" she said softly and Ghostbur nodded

"I see. Is he okay?" Ghostbur asked and floated over to the couch. He looked at Tommy curiously and tilted his head some

"Hes okay for now I think..he's gonna stay with me until we fix him" Puffy told ghostbur as Tommy looked at him

Tommy blinked then seemed to get confused. "W'iba?" He said quietly as he tried to rub the sleep from his eyes.

Ghostbur blinked and looked from Tommy to Puffy and back, "What did he call me?" He asked and smiled confused

Puffy looked down at Tommy and thought for a second. "I think..he called you Wilbur.. he thinks your Wilbur" She said softly and looked at Ghostbur

Ghostbur stayed quiet for a second then nodded. "Well, I'm Ghostbur!" He said cheerfully and gently poked Tommy's nose, trying to boop him

Tommy scrunched his face up some and yawned quietly then sneezed. He sniffed and rubbed his nose then looked back at Puffy

His stomach growled and he looked at her horns then back at her eyes. "I hun'ry" he said quietly and puffy nodded

"Do you want a cookie or some more applesauce?" Puffy asked him softly and he thought for a second.

"Wan 'ookie" he said confidently and smiled at her. She giggled at him and nodded.

"Okay, you can have a cookie" She told him softly and helped him off the couch then grabbed a cookie from the Basket Ghostbur had given her a few minutes ago

Tommy sat on the floor and quietly ate his cookie and looked at the coffee table. He poked the leg as he chewed a bite of his cookie then took another bite.

Puffy smiled softly and stood up, "Ghostbur, do you think you can watch him for a second while I get him some milk?" She asked him and he nodded eagerly

"Of course!" Ghostbur said cheerfully and sat on the floor next to Tommy

Puffy snickered quietly and quickly got Tommy some milk in a sippy cup. When she came back Ghostbur was playing with the flower crown that Tommy had helped make

He looked at it then put it on Tommy's head and smiled softly. "I remember when me and Tommy would make flower crowns as kids" Ghostbur spoke softly as he looked at Tommy

Puffy smiled sadly and nodded. ". . .do you miss those times?" She asked him as she gave Tommy his milk and sat on the couch

"Sometimes, normally though I don't remember anything from when I was alive. There are days where I need lots of blue to get rid of the sadness and then there are days when I just kind of.. exist" Ghostbur said quietly and watched Tommy

Tommy stood up when Puffy came back and wobbled to the couch when she sat down. Puffy scooped him up and sat him next to her while she listened to Ghostbur

Tommy took a drink of his milk then took a small bite of his cookie, leaning against puffy as he ate.

"Would you ever want to be brought back?" Puffy asked him as she watched him stand up

"Hmm..I dont think so..I was a bad person when I was alive..thats why I'm thankful that Phil killed me" Ghostbur spoke softly as he looked out a window

Puffy tensed some and took a deep breath. "So..you remember what you did when you were alive? And that Phil is who..killed you?" She asked him and he looked at her

"No, I don't really remember what I did exactly..but I know that I did bad things. But then Phil killed me and now I'm here!" He said sadly at first then his tone became cheerful when he spoke of Phil

"I see..What do you remember? If you don't mind me asking" Puffy asked him and rubbed Tommy's back as he finished his cookie and drank his milk

"Well..I remember making flower crowns with Tommy when we were younger.. I remember learning how to play the guitar! Playing it for Tommy, starting L'manburg, making the Anthem, meeting Techno for the first time and then..the night I did something bad and Phil killed me" Ghostbur told her as he floated back to the couch and looked at Tommy.

Tommy looked at Ghostbur as he drank his Milk and stayed quiet as Ghostbur speak. It was almost as if he was listening to Ghostburs words and understood them. But differently than how a toddler would understood most words

Puffy noticed but didn't really say anything because she didn't know what to say. So she said nothing and just listened to Ghostbur.

"Do you have an umbrella i can use? I really must get to Philza's" Ghostbur asked suddenly and Puffy thought for a second

"Yeah, i'll get it for you, are you sure you don't wanna wait for the rain to slow down a bit at least?" She asked him and got up to get him and umbrella

"No, I have some things for him that I forgot to give him. Very important things" He said and looked at her as she handed him the umbrella

"Thank you Captain Puffy. Enjoy the cookies" he said cheerfully then left

Puffy waved some as he left, "Bye Ghostbur, be careful in the rain" she called out as he left.

Once he was gone she looked back at Tommy and smiled softly, "hey Tommy, you wanna go upstairs and play with some toys?" She asked him softly and scooped him up

He just nodded eagerly and smiled brightly. She smiled softly at him and carried him upstairs to the old playroom she had for the boys when they were younger.

Chapter Text

Sam was admittedly not really thinking through what he was about to do as he approached Puffy's house. He needed answers and she was who he needed them from

At least, that's what he told himself as he knocked on her door. When she opened it and looked at him, he wasn't surprised to see annoyance on her face

"Did you figure out how to fix Tommy?" Puffy asked him as she stood in her doorway. It was obvious by her body language that she wasn't interested in letting him in

Sam took a deep breath and looked at her for a second. "No, I have some questions though that might help. Who is XD?" He asked her and noted her posture stiffen and her jaw clenched.

He was a bit confused by the reaction but continued to ask more questions. "How old are you really, when did XD give you dream? Are you immortal? Did you make a deal with him?"

Sam started to bombard Puffy with questions but stopped when she put her hand up. It was more out of confusion than anything, but he quieted nonetheless

Puffy looked annoyed and pissed off as she glared at him. "When did this turn into an investigation on me. And who the hell are you, to be asking these questions anyways." She hissed in anger and stepped closer to Sam

Despite her being almost half a foot shorter than Sam, He backed up in a slight panic that she might try to attack him.

"Quit asking ridiculous questions and figure out how to fix Tommy. You fucked up and you're gonna fix him. So figure out to fix him goddammit! And quit trying to dig into my past! You won't find any answers on how to fix Tommy by snooping where you don't belong."

She continued to back him away from her home and put a little fear into him somehow. He wasn't sure why he feared her, she wasn't even wearing any armor

Yet he was fully geared and had training in defense amongst other things. Maybe it was the last of actual information about her he had

Once she was finished speaking, Sam furrowed his eyebrows and spoke back.

"Maybe if you weren't being so secretive about your Past I would be able to figure out how to fix Tommy faster. I don't know who XD is or how he fits into all this, that's why I'm trying to talk to you about it."

Sam was starting to get angry at Puffy's lack of cooperation, to him all she had to do was answer some questions and he would be able to fix Tommy faster.

But she wasn't helping, she was just hiding things from him and making everything more frustrating.

She scoffed and crossed her arms as she backed up some. "My past has nothing to do with Tommy. You didn't have my trust before and you definitely don't have it now. So don't assume that I owe you anything just because you were irresponsible and let a child die!"

Talking to puffy was getting Sam nowhere, if anything it was just making things worse.

So Sam backed off and scoffed quietly. "Fine. If you wont tell me anything, I'll find someone who will." He glared at her then left

Puffy flipped him off and walked back into her house. She walked over to Tommy and sat next to him on the play rug.

He was currently playing with a toy car and a stuffed panda. When Puffy saw what he was playing with her sour mood got a little better

She hadn't seen the stuffed panda since Dream and Sapnap were little. Tommy looked at her then smiled and offered her the soft toy

She took it and thanked him for it softly. She looked it over then chuckled softly as she remembered having to sew one of the legs back on.

It had been because Dream and George were teasing Sapnap for carrying it everywhere. George tried to take it from Sapnap and ripped the leg off on accident

She remembered Sapnap screaming at George and looking like he was about to cry. So Puffy offered to fix it for him and he let her.

He must have left the stuffed animal here and forgotten about it. She thought about returning it to him just to see if he remembered it

But her attention was brought back to Tommy when he tugged on her shirt and tried to hand her a car. He wanted her to play with him but he wasn't being verbal.

She just assumed it was because he was still tired from his nap and took the car. She sat with him and played cars for a while

Meanwhile, Sam made his way to the mansion by the prison. He needed to speak with BadBoyHalo

He knocked on the front door and waited for him to answer. Once the Demon opened the door they both smiled some.

"Sam! Hi, how are you! Come in, I just made some tea" Bad said as he stepped aside for Sam to come in

Sam much rather enjoyed Bad's company and attitude than Puffy's. He just hoped the others' mood wouldn't change when he asked a few questions.

"Thank you Bad, i'm doing okay I guess, I have some questions and I was hoping you could help me answer a few of them" he asked as he stepped into the warm mansion

The atmosphere in the house was very warm and cozy. He smiled softly at this and followed Bad to the kitchen where the tea was

"So what were your questions?" Bad asked as he poured them both some tea. "Sugar?" Bad asked as he gently pushed a sugar dish to Sam

"Yes, thank you" Sam said softly as he took a bit of sugar for his tea. He stirred it then took a sip before he spoke.

"So, I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about Puffy, I've heard you two used to be very close when Sapnap and Dream were little" He started a bit hesitant.

He knew that Bad wouldn't lash out on him like Puffy had. But he was still hesitant to ask in case puffy was one of Bad's sour subjects like drinking.

To his relief, Bad's face seemed to Light up at the mention of Puffy and Sapnap. He relaxed a bit and listened to Bad speak

"Yeah! Puffy was a really great friend and really helpful when I didn't know what to do with Sap. I can't tell you how many times she saved the day by bringing snacks to a playdate or taking Sap for a night or two so I could have a break. Especially when they were little, Dream and Sap were practically inseparable"

Bad raved about how sweet Puffy was and Sam slightly wondered if they were talking about the same Puffy. He knew it was, but she acted completely differently not than she did as Bad described her.

"Sorry, you didn't actually ask a question did you, what is it you wanted to know?" Bad asked sheepishly as he sipped his Tea

Sam smiled some and nodded, "I wanted to know how she um..came to get dream? She did adopt him didn't she?" Sam asked and drank more of his tea

"Oh, yeah someone asked her to look after him, she never told me who though, but I would assume it was a different person she Adopted Foolish from. I mean, they look nothing alike and I never saw her pregnant before she had either of them" Bad spoke as he tilted his head and seemed to think some

Sam raised an eyebrow, "Wait, Puffy actually Adopted Foolish? That wasn't just a joke? She actually adopted him?" Sam seemed surprised that Puffy had actually adopted Foolish and not just kinda taken him in temporarily

Bad smiled brightly, "Oh yeah, But Foolish and Dream never really saw each other as siblings, Dream didn't like Foolish because he was in his early teens when Puffy adopted Foolish. Foolish was so tiny too, it's amazing how big he's gotten"

Bad started to ramble again and gave Sam way more information than Sam had been looking for. But Sam didn't mind, he would take all the information he could get

"Okay, so um..do you know who XD is?" Sam asked hesitantly and watched Bad's face for any kind of a reaction. If the demon did know, he didn't show it, he just kinda shook his head a bit confused

"No, that sounds like an emoji face," Bad said then shrugged. Sam sighed quietly but nodded

"Alright, what about Puffys age. Is she immortal or something? She doesn't look like she's aged since I met her a few years ago" Sam was trying to get as much information from Bad as he could

Bad seemed to hesitate on this one which caused some suspicion as he seemed to look for the right words. "I wouldn't..say immortal.." Bad started and scratched the back of his neck

"Puffy is..well she kinda...I'm not really sure what she is, but I believe the reason she doesn't seem to age is the same reason I don't look like I age. I'm a demon from the nether, so I'm not immortal but I don't really age like a human would. I'm almost 27 hundred years old but my kind lives to be thousands of years old."

Bad did his best to explain but he could tell by Sams shocked expression that what he said was more shocking than helpful

"Wait, Bad you're almost 27 Hundred years old??? I thought you were only in your late 40s!" Sam exclaimed and still looked shocked.

Bad flushed some and chuckled shyly, "well, 27 Hundred is the equivalent of uh..a 27 year old Human" he explained as he fiddled with his tea cup

Sam just kinda stared a bit shocked for a few more seconds before he blinked. "Okay- well that actually explains some things- But wait, if you only age 100 human years to 1 Demon year, How is Sapnap 20?" Sam asked, slightly bewildered

Bad chuckled quietly, "He's a fireborn type of hybrid, he ages a bit like a human but closer to..hmm..well, I don't know how to explain it but he'll live into his late hundreds, he won't live past 200 I don't think.." Bad seemed to bum himself out as he thought about Sapnap dying of old age

So Sam changed the topic, "Okay, back to the questions, what exactly is puffy?" Sam asked and Bad looked at him

"Honestly, i'm not sure, like I said, she never told me what she is but I assumed she was a ram or Goat of some kind" Bad said quietly

Sam sighed quietly and nodded. "Alright well, thank you for your time and cooperation, i'll get out of your hair now" Sam said as he stood to leave

Bad smiled and nodded, "Okay, I hope I was able to help you either whatever you needed, see you at work" Bad said cheerfully as Sam excused himself.

Sam said his goodbye then left. He didn't know everything he had wanted to, but one thing was for sure

He knew enough to hopefully get Puffy to talk to him to fill in the gaps.

Sorry for the gap between updates! I started winter break then got so busy doing other things I lost motivation to keep writing :( but now I have time and motivation!
