Chapter Text
Hmph, Loki thought impatiently.
What even is the point in me being here? Am I that evil that they have to lock me up in this woeful cell the size of a matchbox? Am I the dangerous?
Do they really hate me, that much?
Well, I guess that's what happens when your the god of mischief.
You spend the rest of your days in here, throwing rocks at walls and kicking the bland furniture about.
That's what I get for not being trustworthy.
That's what I get for being nothing but..........trouble.
All I wanted was a bit of power.
Power that was rightfully mine, cruelly taken away from me to be passed on to some dimwit that doesn't know what the hell he's doing.
Unfortunately that can't be fixed know as everyone believes he's the bees knees and a rightful king, pushing me aside forgetting I exist.
Damn Thor, the popular brother.
His thoughts always consisted of these never ending feelings, the things he could not rip out of his brain, swirling around every inch of his body as he paced around the square like structure he was confined in.
This is no life for a god, I know that, but I understand the hatred I have earned over the years and have been lucky not to be hanged by the many thousands of civilians that would kill me in a heartbeat if they had the chance.
Oh well, at least its's better than getting murdered by a psycho mob with machine guns.
He paced around the room, slowly but steadily as he watched for broken glass he may end up stepping on.
There was a lot of it round his place so he regularly ignored that fact it existed and trodded on it anyway.
Cus you know
What was a little pain going to do?
Suddenly there was a loud rap on the cellar door, bringing Loki back to reality.
He got up to answer it, slowly trudging towards the entrance, but the person at the other side had beat him too it, already slamming the door open, there voice booming into the prison.
"Loki, brother, father wants to see you at the front door in 5 minutes, don't be late"
The voice paused for a minute almost in hesitation.
"It's important"
Loki rolled his eyes
"Of course, that's what you say every single time father wants to speak to us"
Thor grabbed his wrist a swiftly led him out of the prison.
"There's something about this time that's different Loki, I sense an uneasy essence in the air" He retorted, clenching deeper into Loki's skin making him flinch.
"Yeahhhh like you can sense anything!" Loki replied, trying to wipe the smug look on his face as Thor turns around and gives him a death glare.
"Please just behave for once in your life, it could benefit you greatly these days as father is slightly soft than usual"
Loki perked up a Thor's remark, what could have made there father mellow?
They approached the big golden door, shining in the light of the windows opposite making it look grander than it already seems.
Thor nods at the guards as they pass by, Loki doing the same with a little more charm, he always had to be better than his brother.
The door slowly creaked open, natural light beaming into the palace almost blinding the two as they edge further out.
As promised, there father was standing close by with his back to them, grand as ever the brothers thought as they went to meet him
Surprisingly he was not alone, today there was a beautiful woman, also with her back to them standing beside him supposedly have a chat with the royal
Thor skipped in front as usual, Loki know exactly what was about to happen, his brother always charmed the woman leaving him with manys of relationships and a lot of break ups, him on the other hand had never had a relationship and never planned to, that's just the way things ended up in these places.
Of course Loki was left in the dust, he didn't mind anyway as he stood no chance against the other so he hung in the background of everything as normal.
It's just the way it is, he tells himself
It's just the way it is.
Loki studied her from a distance letting his sibling do the talking, he noticed the women had beautiful curly hair down to chest and gleaming eyes like diamonds which could draw attention from miles around.
He now saw how Thor was so keen on her but was definitely not jealous.
I could never be jealous a girl, Loki thought as he prodded further away from the humans.
Unfortunately just as he had decided to make a quick exit his father called his name.
"Loki come and meet are wonderful guest!"
Great, Loki thought as he rolled his eyes.

Y/n POV
There he was.
The one they called Thor.
The supposedly handsome, generous and kind god that everyone across the kingdom died over.
I just didn't see it.
To me he was more like a selfish, cocky I-live-on-attention-and-praise kinda guy.
I'm glad I finally saw him in the flesh.
To see what all the fuss was about, to prove that he was just your average jerk and really, I think I'm gonna be able to prove it quite simply.
He greeted me with a smirky smile.
"Hello Hayley, what a pleasure to finally meet you!"
I sighed, unfortunately I had to make a good impression or I'd get kicked out of this palace, just like I did the other.
"Nice too meet you too Thor, nice palace you two have got here!" I gave them a sweet little smile, disgusting.
That's when I noticed someone else, someone leaning against a big oak tree close by.
His sharp blue eyes focused on me making a shiver go down my spine.
What the hells up with this dude and who is he?
Odin signalled for him to come over to us, he probably saw me staring.
Great he really has to invite the scary guy over, although he does look better th-
The dark haired man cut my thoughts short.
He was now standing beside me, leaning his legs to the wall enjoying the scenery.
After he had got his share of the sights he turn back around and faced us all.
"The names Loki, God of Mischief" he said bluntly as he looked at me less intimidating than last time, thank god for that.
I racked my brain for god of mischief, why have I never heard that before?
Odin seemed to have picked up the awkward silence and decided to intervene.
"Thor would you so kindly escort lady Hayley to her room"
Thor agreed, this time with a gentler smile.
"Of course Father but what about Loki?"
Odin turned around and replied.
"I'll put him back don't you worry"
Wait what's that about putting him back?
"We'll talk later at dinner Haley, we want to get to know you better" Odin grinned as he seemingly dragged Loki away.
I took one last look at him as he was dragged away, there was a bitter look on his face.
What are they doing to the poor guy?
Thor brought me down the gleaming long corridors, my room at the end of one of them.
"Here you are Haley! I'll be here to pick you up for dinner shortly and remember to make yourself confortable and call for a servent if you need anything!"
I thanked Thor greatly as he closed the door quietly, this room was massive.
I flopped onto the giant king sized bed in the corner, my mind drifting back to what Odin said.
Is Loki just a possession?
